I was in a room on the base floor and on the third day of stay the water came down from the ceiling of the bathroom and I need to change the room because it was really dangerous. The staff is not competent and not really gentle at all. I parked on their park and in the morning the only car who was blocked from another car on the back was mine! I had to wait for half an hour to free the car. It is really an old structure and very bad. I do not reccomand to anyone.

This is a nice building in a nice area. But it takes more to make a nice hotel. There were no major problems but the hotel seems to deal with passing tourists more than other types and so it is easy to lose sight of service standards. One example for all: the bar is manned by non professional young staff and most hotel clients prefer to go elsewhere for a drink "comme il faut". Concierge and front dest were more professional.

We chose this hotel due to it's location and we are so happy we did. The high price was more about the location rather than the quality. The hotel is still undergoing renovation so had to use a side entrance but we found the staff very welcoming and their English very easy to understand. We didn't eat at the hotel at all as there was plenty of nearby eateries at much lower prices. Beds were comfortable and the linen good quality. Didn't hear noise from other rooms but our room certainly had a few creaking floorboards. We paid 1060 Euros for 3 nights in a quadruple room over a weekend.

Great location! Friendly staff! Clean and specious room! The property was under renovation but it did not disturb our stay at all. Only issue we had was the live music at the bar on Friday night. It was on until 00:30 and was not really acceptable especially when we have a early moning the next day.

Very pleasant ancient atmosphere. Very well located. Good live music at the bar. Nice indoor swimming pool (free of charge). The only drawback was the fact that a part of the Hotel was being remodeled during our stay.

Reason to choose this property is location. In walking distance to many attractions and directly across street from subway stop. We had Junior Suite. Large room with okay furnishings (for the price in this area). There was a horrible sewerage smell in the bathrooms coming from drains, but since we were gone most of the day and could keep bathroom doors closed, the problem was manageable.

The advertising for this Hotel is deceptive. We requested a King bed and were told there wasn't one available when we arrived. We were told at booking that the rate we were paying was a room with a queen/king bed. We had a full bed that was old enough it sunk in the middle. Was a miserable 4 nights. The room size was adequate but smallish. Was way too much money for the room. It was by far the most expensive room we had in Europe and the most unsatisfactory. We will not go back and would have appreciated accurate information at the Venere website.

The location of the hotel was very central. The welcome to the hotel was excellent. The public areas of the hotel were quite spacious and the general facilities were good. The hotel room however was disappointing. It was quite dark and during the morning and night the noise in the room (which seemed to be from pipework)got quite irratating. A room in a 4 star hotel should be better. Also the provision of a shuttle service to the airport as detailed on the website is misleading. The hotel will only arrange the trip with a shuttle service company given a days notice.

Whilst the hotel itself is in a great location with beautiful spacious rooms, stay away from the Hotel Bar.Even though it closes early (for us at 1am on a Saturday)which is a very poor indeed for those of us that like a nightcap. We puchased the next night a glass of wine & a pint of Beer and at 17.00 Euro it's a disgrace.

First of all the location was fantastic. Just across the street from the Tulliers Metro Stop. You can get to anywhere in Paris in minutes from there. The rooms are are huge, with the bed and bath located in a loft. Funny but there is very little furniture that one can sit on in the downstairs from the bedroom. The hotel staff was either in training or didn't know much about Paris. The gym or exercise facility is really a spa and they don't stay open very long. So get your exercise by walking around Paris. THe rack rate for the room is a joke, so only reserve this hotel if you can get a special internet or meeting rate. I would however stay here again.

I specifically requested a double bed room, not a twin, but ended up in a twin; one of the major assets of the hotel is its location, "central yet calm"; unfortunatly, its inner court facade was under renovation which caused tremendous nuisances.

The location was excellent. We were right across the street from the Louve Gardens. The room was small and not what I expected for the price. The bathroom was very small and the tub was smaller than mine at home. We had a view of the gardens at the hotel, which was great. Overall the stay was great, the people were friendly and very helpful. When I go back to Paris I will definately stay at the same hotel, not for the room, but for the people and location.

Very good location, pleasant inner courtyard. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment as an on site restaurant was the one essential component which led us to book this hotel. It would have been good to have known this in advance, but the hotel made a special effort to accomodate our needs by allowing us to order from the room service menu in the bar area.
