Prince Hotel Forum - Paris
83 Rue Rambuteau - Paris
877-662-6988The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to all of the main tourist sites in Paris. You are near the metro, where it is easy to reach everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe. You are also within reach to the large shopping mall, the Forum des Halles, restaurants, shops, bars, and cinemas. Don’t forget about the amazing museums, the roman baths, the cathedrals, and the beautiful architecture. There is no way you will have a boring time in Paris or at the Prince Hotel Forum.

We really enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. very central. You are paying for location. The hotel is good for couples or single people rooms are small but very clean. Cannot comment on breakfast because we didnt have it. Plenty of bars and resturants around hotel, not far from the Louve and Notra Dame. The hotel staff are friendly and helpfull, always someone on reception. Other comments say about the small lift, it is very small but its common in europe and not a big problem I think. Our room was facing the street so a little bit of noise at night but its because its in a busy area, it wasnt a big deal. I would recommend if you are looking for a good location.

PLEASE NOTE: Hotel Rate DOES NOT include breakfast, if ordering, the price of 11 euro is VERY high for just coffee, croissant, jam & yoghurt.....Cafe's outside are much CHEAPER at 7 euro for the same items.... The hotel would not refund one breakfast as my check out was before 07:00. The room was small facing the pedestrian mall/street but it was quiet, the afternoon has alot of people just HANGING ABOUT.... Taxi drivers DO NOT know the location of this hotel which is walking distance to the rail station Chatelet...

My wife & I stayed for 5D/4N in this Hotel. We chose this Hotel due to the location. We arrived by train to Gare de l'est from Germany . From Gard de l'est, it is just 3 stations apart on RER 4 to Etienne Marcel station. We just loved it as it is very near to Metro & RER stations of Etienne Marcel, Les Halles & Chatelet. Thus, going to all Paris' attractions a breeze. Took about 15mins of each walking to Notre-Dame, Musee du Louvre and Pont Neuf (Seine river boat ride). We stayed on the 4th Floor and yet the wi-fi signal is still good. The Hotel do have a small lift but it is way better than walking up the stairs. Best is the Hotel is sorrounded with varieties of food (especially halal for us). Not to forget the shoppings (Forum les Halles is just 20 steps away) Although it is in the happening area but on the 4th Floor, it is rather quiet. Not to forget the staffs (Patrick & Valerie) are superb and very helpful. Will definitely return here on my next trip.

The only good thing in that hotel-perfect position. Room has all necessary for sleep in night, but you will listen everything what happened in neighbor rooms and on the street. Very cold also. I have found old socks under the bed. Also when my friend had joined me in second day, it was very big problem with second towel, blanket, pillow even room was double. But if you need just bed for sleep in night and have earplugs - it is not bad choice, on morning you are in the center.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel was perfect for single bachelor like myself or a couple, yes it's pretty basic but the location is very very central and perfect to get around all over Paris. Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful and had no problem speaking English. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this is definitely value for money if you are on a budget. I would definitely recommend staying here honestly and will come back in the future.

The best thing about the hotel is the location and price (reasonable for paris) The staff were quite pleasant the room was not a superior double, it was a very cramped dark room with a very uncomfortable bed. The noise from the lift and the ablutions of the occupants of the room next door was not pleasant.

Price is too expensive regarding provided services.Elevator is for only one person without luggage, rooms and bathrooms are poor, small, too old: they need to be restaured. Please do not classify this a 3 stars hotel:it is a lie.

After reading all the comments from previous guests, we weren't surprised when we got there. The room was very small. It was funny trying to maneuver around each other. It was difficult trying to arrange our luggage to use the space wisely. It was cold. Management seemed to ration the available heat. The place could definitely use some updating, but we already knew what to expect. Location? Excellent!

very well located in Paris In winter, the room was cold, the breakfirst place was cold, warm water was not always warm. Breakfirst is limited (you cannot ask for additional jam); it took 2 days to get a TV functionning; relatively expensive for these drawbacks.

I have not been able to find a better location for the price. Although the immediate area has a lot of cheesy bars and is a bit dirty its not far from some really nice places. The staff are helpful and the room is clean enough, although it could do with re painting and new furniture (but then the prices would probably have to go up). The lower price rooms are more 2* than 3* so consider this if choosing the cheapest option.

The size of the room was o.k. for one or two people; I booked the two people room with one queen size bed. The room was in the third floor (#203), therefore the noise from the street was there, I had the windows closed overnight. The location is very convenient, either for business (metro station Chatellet/Les Halles with PER Railway) as well as for pleasure and evening activities. I definitely will return for a pleasure trip.

Only needed room in Paris for one night. This place had right price for one night. Close to RER train from CDG airport so that is a plus. Close to Louve and Notre Dame so this was a plus In general the room reminded me of a college dorm. I did have my own bathroom and it was clean. Room very small and furniture was very minimal. WIFI did work as did TV. Noise outside was an issue...I was on 5th floor but crowds below until 2AM or so very loud, then construction and jackhammers at 7AM. Tiny elevator not big enough for more than one person and small carry on bag. Bottom line, this is a one star dorm room good for single traveler or young couple for a night or two.

The rooms are really small and closets only hold one or two hangers turned at an angle. You can hear the people walk on the cobblestones in the morning. The location is good, right near the buslines, Louvre, and Notre Dame- just 5-7 mins walk. The Hop on and Hop off bus stop is near Notre Dame. Neighborhood was not bad and right near several restraunts and a couple Jazz clubs. The staff was great, very nice, and very helpful. Next time I will probably stay on the otherside of the river though,a little more in price but looks like a nicer neighborhood with more romance to it.

First of all this is NOT a 3 star hotel, no way. Its more like 2 star. The room was old and had stains on the wallpaper. The shower needed a good bleaching and the bed was lumpy. That said the location is excellent and the guy who worked on the desk in the evening was very pleasant and happy to please. I arrived after midnight and received a lovely welcome and he happily attended to my requests (another pillow etc). Also you pay for what you get, it may not be 3 star but its a cheap hotel for this central location.

I went to France by myself and as a single girl, I was worried about finding a hotel in a safe neighbourhood that was close to the major sites. This hotel was fantastic. It was easy to find, very clean, the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful (and spoke English), and in a good location. 5-10 min walk to the Louvre, you can walk to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe (45 min), getting to Versailles is easy as well (45 min via the RER), and the RER goes straight to the airport (CDG). Shopping at the Forum at Les Halles was mediocre (dirty and not my kind of stores), so if you want to shop, Avenue des Champs on the way to the Arc de Triumpf is better (like Robson St in Vancouver). I didn't feel as safe at night, but I was by myself. If I was with someone or in a group, I would have stayed out later. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel because of the location, cleanliness, price, and staff.

No hairdryer, no extra bedding, no heating in room, no satellite tv, no noise protection from the rubbish men who came to the street at 6.45am. Minimal toiletries provided, no easy chair, only one chair (hard wooden) in a double room, one pillow on a double bed, no electronic key card - still an old fashioned key you had to hand in. Had to pay extra for a safe in the room and was given a lecture about the cost to the hotel if I lost the key. Noise from neighbouring rooms was loud, even when they talked or use the bathroom. The room was reasonably clean and they did change the towels but this is not 3 star and is very expensive indeed for the standard provided - more like 1 star - I have travelled widely and stayed in a lot of hotels.

This hotel is a typical 2 star hotel in Paris. Its a old converted building were the lift, hallways and stairs take the absolute minimum of space. Its in the middle of a bar and restaurant area only a 2 minute walk from the Forum des Halles metro and shopping center. Noise level at 5th floor was acceptable unless you require absolute silence when sleeping. We where sleeping with our 5 month old baby with the windows open without being bothered by the noise. The lift is only 65 by 90 cm. So a baby stroller with hard bag was not easy to take to and from the room, but the staff was very helpful and allowed us to park the stroller in the small reception area. All the staff was friendly and helpful, giving advice and recommendations upon request. On a general note. Avoid big strollers on the metro, no lifts, few handicap exits and stairs everywhere. It was actually easier to walk the streets.

This hotel is small but there is everything you need. Small but clean rooms. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance of all the attractions of the city. The closest metro station is about 5 minutes from the hotel. It is in the middle of a busy aerea, so it is not too quiet. In summary, staying in that hotel, I have been more than content.

We stayed on the 6th floor in a clean and spacious triple, high above the street noise that people are complaining about on this site. We loved the room, the service and the location of this little hotel. I can see where the lack of air conditioning could be a major problem during the hot months, but we just threw open the windows and enjoyed the cool breeze and murmur of sound far below on the street. We will stay in this hotel again unless we happen to be in Paris when the weather is hot.

The hotel is in the heart of Paris and in a restaurant/pub area so if you want to sleep in don't stay however I loved the atmosphere, the closeness to the Seine - even the Eiffel tower is only 20 mins walk away and Notre Dame just 5. We had the most wonderful stay at the Prince Hotel Forum. We wanted to be in the hub of the city and didn't mind at all that the streets were busy and noisy... if you don't want that, go to the farm!!! The staff at receiption were very friendly and helpful, and very efficient. We wer very sad to leave after 3 nights in the hotel. Loved the little balcony from our room overlooking the street. Location, location, location! This was my 11th trip to Paris and was traveling with a friend who hadn't been in 20+ years. Being two women alone, this was a perfect place to stay with the Les Halles metro just steps away. I knew the area already but wasn't prepared for just how excellent of a choice I had made to stay here. My only setback was, we were staying a short time and had request that our room NOT be cleaned. We are not dirty people and just didn't want/need anyone in our room. They cleaned it anyway. This laid heavy on me because we specifically asked them not to. Weekend nights it does get a little loud but I was so tired I really didn't care. Those are my only complaints! C'est bon!!

The lady on duty who checked us in was very vague and not very helpful. We were also charged 2 euros day for the use of the room safe which while not expensive, it should be free.Keys needed to be left @ reception when going out and when we returned the first time were given the third degree by the man on duty. Only one person and one suitcase possible in the lift. No airconditiong or fan so was hot and stuffy. Were told that a cab could be organised to take us to the station however the man on duty on 25th September either couldn't / wouldn't get one so we had to drag our luggage 3 kms to the station. Overall the hotel was dodgy and service non existant.

Very little rooms. We stayed in the largest and best for my believe, but it is still little. Facilities are poor. Lift are only for person with luggage or two without. Breakfast in ugly place without windows on -2 level. However staff is friendly. Note that taxis are not coming to the hotel b/c it is a pedestrian zone and you need to walk about 200-250 meters. This was my first trip to Paris and I was a woman alone and on a budget, staying for 3 nights. I had to make the decision whether to stay at a cheaper hotel, further out, travelling to and fro to central Paris or a more expensive one in the 'hub' of things. The Prince Hotel Forum was one of the cheapest central hotels I could find. Now, if you are looking for a taxi ride to the doorstep of a 4/5 star hotel, this isn't for you. The hotel is in a pedestrianised street which means, if you have a lot of luggage it's a struggle to get there. However, if you are travelling reasonably light and you want something 5 minutes from the Louve, the Seine and with dozens of restaurants, a Shopping Mall and a RER/Metro station literally within 2 minutes walk away, are just interested in a base to come back to at night, then this hotel could be for you. It is, as is a lot of Paris properties, tiny. I think it only goes back the depth of one room and a corridor and the lift (:-) says it's for 3 people but being around 18" x 24" approx., 3 of you would have to 'spoon'. However, it is comfortable for 2 people or 1 with a suitcase. I had a single room, approx 4ft bed with around 18" to the side and 2ft at the bottom, with a tiny bathroom (toilet, basin and small shower only) but hey, the sheets and towels were clean, the staff friendly and it served me as a base to get back and collapse with happy fatigue at the end of long days of walking/cycling and sightseeing around this beautiful city.

The hotel is in excellent location. I wish they had at least a little bigger shower, because only small person can fit there. Also, I've never seen that small elevator in my entire life:)I also personally didn't like dark wall colors, the room looked smaller. The walls were not too clean as well. I probably would stay again because of the price and location, unless I want to pay more for better comfort. But we were out whole day and only would come to sleep - so it was OK.

The best thing about the hotel is the central location, good value for money in the heart of Paris. If you are a large sized person with bulky luggage, best to chose a different hotel. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the room itself with your significant other, this is NOT the place to go. But if you are mainly focused on visiting Paris and being out and about, you are a small or medium European sized person with a small suitcase, you can fit on the elevator and in the rooms. The breakfast is served in a basement room with no window. I recommend going just around the corner to the Nylsa Caffe on 6 rue de la Cossonnerie where they have fresh croissants, good coffee and a view of the pedestrian street and in good weather an outdoor seating area. In the very nearby Forum shopping center there is a cinema which also shows original language films and a large swimming pool, very convenient for relaxation and exercise.

we stayed there beginning of november and payed only 107 euro per night for a double room. usually, when the hotel isn't in full renovation of the front side, wich was the case and will be the case untill end of the year it's the double prize! what is abusive! The rooms so tiny, you hardly ca go round the bed if you are two persons! the workers begin at 8h in the morning to hammer on the wall - so, if you want the stay on weekdays you have to bie tough! the room was not really clean and dust was all over! but sourroundings perfect if you want to go out.

Its a fine hotel, nothing fabulous but in one of the best locations in Paris for crepes, bars, restaurants, jazz clubs as well as sight seeing. It was under renovation when we stayed and had hammering at 8.30 in the morning on week days. Not ideal and the windows were blocked with work nets. We felt that the hotel should have closed for this but I am sure that it has finished now and I would stay there again, without a doubt.

There is no way this is a 3-star hotel!! I have seen better 2-star hotels. Elevator does not hold a man plus suitcase, furniture in the room was very worn and poor quality, towels aslo very old. Shutters in our room were broken and would not close.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. There was a guy and a lady. Both were so kind and nice and very helpful. The room was noisy, but it is Paris and we were on vacation. People party..... just use ear plugs. We would stay there again in a heartbeat, if for no other reason than to see the people working at the desk. I just can not express how wonderful they were.

Excellent location! The rooms was small, but clean. Internet Wi-fi access was available only for lower floors,so I had to go to the reception every time I wanted to 'connect'. But,the wi-fi connection was free. All in all I intend to go back there again!

Hotel perfectly located (5 mn walk from Chatelet station), near Notre Dame. Rooms quite small but perfect for a visiting weekend of Paris.

Price/performance is OK. Excellent location to reach airport from the heart of the city. Very soft bed and noisy surroundings. Good bakery just around the corner in Les Halles to eat breakfast (closed on Sunday).

Very small room, but in the center of the city. Very expensive, if you consider quality: you pay just the position.

Bad hotel. Nosy area, facing a very busy pedestrian street. All the rooms face this nosy street. Not enough ventilation, that is, when is summer there is no air conditioning, thus if one leaves the windows open one cannot sleep because the fights and noise outside. It should not be rated as 3 star hotel, it should be rated as 1 star hotel. Thanks,

I had to pay more as schedukled with an adding price of 10€ for breakfast and 1 € taxes. The room was realy DIRTY wi, television broken, bath room dirty with almost no water coming in the shower ... Was it an hotel for prostitutes ? I do really think so. Why "trois étoiles!!!" incredibly dirty and bad!

Typical small room as per Paris city hotel standard, considering what you pay for and what you get, this is acceptable. No air-con in the room and you has to keep the window open but have to bear with the noise from outside. Light sleeper may have problem with this. The best thing about this hotel is the close proximity to metro (1-2 minutes walk to station Chatelet les Halles), extremely convenient as the RER from airport connect directly to it without the need to change station and you can get many metro lines from this interchange station.

Es un hotel sencillo, pero limpio e incluso acogedor. La habitación está limpia y bien aprovechada (estuvimos en una de las habitaciones más grandes), el trato es amable y correcto y cumple con lo pactado o esperado.

Dont expect much from this hotel however, the location makes up for it. If driving you should use pay careful attention the street this hotel is on. Half of the street you are able to drive the other side where the hotel is you have to walk. Rooms are small and could be updated. Many places to eat and drink around the hotel and also within walking distance for us to some major site seeing places. Subways only a block away that could take you anywhere in the city. Overall our stay at this hotel was good.

Great location with easy access via RER-Train from CDG airport -- 8-Euros oneway!!! Easy walk to tourist areas like Pompidu Center, Louvre, Notra Dam etc in that general area. Rooms are small compared to US standards, and bathroom barely had room to turn around in! Cleanlyness was medioca, but it could get a lot worse in Europe ... and the lift was about the size of a bathtub! Food and drinks in the area (and France) are expensive ... nearly 3-euros for a cup of coffee!! Dinning out could easily run you a big bill ... we ate out once at a cheap Indian Resturant 2-cheap main dishes, some plain rice, and 2-soft drinks came to US$35.00 ... after that we ate at hole in the wall Chinese Resturants or ordered Panini's from street vendors for about 3-Euros each.

The location of the hotel was good, it is very convenient to go to any place you want to, including the aipport. There are many places to eat around that area. The room was very clean. The only thing you might not be satified was the realy small elevetor ( the smallest I had ever seen) and bathroom. I will definitely come back the next time I visit Paris.

A bit cramped, but wonderfully close to everything. Situated in an area called Paris 1, it was 10 Mins walk from The Louvre and most other Paris landmarks. The staff were all English profecient and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Heating was an oil radiator that was more than adequate. we were 30 paces from the main Paris underground intersection and but a step away from a plethora of cafe's and bar's and even had a Macdonald's in our block. For conveniance, cleanliness and sheer proximity this Hotel is easy to reccomend. It fulfilled our every expectation and desire. Bravo Prince Forum and Thanks.

The smallest lift I have ever been in and a most compact single bedroom, however the bed and bathroom where clean although the hotel internally could do with a lick of paint. Staff frienly and helpful.

Nice hotel with a good location but small rooms. Air conditioning wouldn't be a bad service. The wardrobe could be bigger as it was very small if you stay longer than just 2-3 nights. -

Location is excellent. Great hotel, easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) to the Louvre and Notredame. Only one block from Ch. Les Halles Metro/rail stop, so easy arrival from airport by rail/metro. Several Cyber-cafes nearby, so could download camera to CD and check emails easily. Les Halles café across street is very good. Very noisy at night in summer with windows open (busy clubbing area), bring earplugs (!) then okay. Room was roomy, extra clean, bathroom and shower/bathtub all excellent. Hosts were very friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was ok, but a boulangier with coffee is right around corner (Paul’s) that is better and cheaper. 115E per night for triple, good rates for in-town room. We will stay again.

The location of the Prince Hotel is great, as was the size of our room on the 6th floor. However, half way through our stay, the matchbox that they call an elevator broke and we were forced to climb 7 flights on a spiral staircase everyday. Try bringing your suitcases down when it's time to check out! Exasperating, especially considering that no one at the hotel offered to help.
