We stayed 4 2 nights. First the good points - The staff is really nice. The hotel not far from 2 metro stations - Pigal & st. George - but not easy 4 people who have orientation problems to find. It is nice having a lunch bag. A difference between 2 rooms We were given a room on the first floor. Although I asked 4 a quite twin bed room (On Venere's site it says there are such rooms) - I was told this kind of room faces the street and is noisy. So not only that we had a very small room with a standard double bed- it was very very noisy. I could hear the noise from downstairs, people slammed doors till late at night, at about midnight – I also heard drilling. The next day we were moved to a room on the third floor and it was much better and a bearable size for Paris (or London). I think they should give middle aged and elderly visitors the top floors (there r five ). The breakfast – I chose this hotel (in this category and environment) mainly because it included breakfast. The buffet breakfast is very poor and apart from yogurt – only includes jam and butter to put on the or Baguette or roll. (We paid 4.5 euro in an Etap hotel and the choice was larger). They could add some honey and little cheese squates.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel offered a welcome drink and included breakfast as well as lunch bag that you could take with you while visiting the city. This is an excellent option for traveling to Paris on a budget. The staff was really nice and courteous.

Perfect location for the places we wanted to visit, and for transport links throughout Paris. The noise was te only issue, as people coming in from the street to reception could be heard as the door at the bottom of the stairs was left open - it helped when we had to get up early for the airport though! Other noise game from inconsiderate guests clomping up the stairs, and letting their bedroom door slam.

The hotel is located in a very quiet street even being near Pigalle. We have really appreciated the willingness of the staff. Also the lunchbox service is very handy:Every day, on demand at the reception, you will be given a couple of sandwitches, small bottles of water and some fruit to take away for your trips into town. Rooms are very small but if you mostly need a place to sleep after a long day strolling around Paris it will be perfect. It has free wi-fi too!

The My Hotel Opéra Saint Georges is a well located hotel, not too expensive and with some nice perks (free Wifi, Lunchbox). Unfortunately we found the staff to be rather incompetent, noice at night and in the morning rather too loud and the room a little bit too small. As a side-note: While there is TV in the rooms, it is exclusively french.

The staff are helpfull, double room very small dirty carpets. Watching tv at night was neck breaking, tv situated to high up on the wall. The room we had was next to the stairs and you could people going up or down, could also here what was going at reception. Also when i went to pay the bill i was to pay tax on the total i was given.

Our only complaint was that having paid extra for a superior double we were shocked to find on our arrival that our rather small room contained two small single beds with separate bedding - not happy as it was a special anniversary weekend break.

Good rapport quality/price. A little difficult to find it...not really in the front of the metro station. Hotel small, but clean, good for a short stay. The neighbourhood pretty coloured .

Excellent location, close to Montmartre, Pigalle. Rue de Martyrs (1 min from hotel)is very busy with good restaurants, fromageries, boulongeries etc. Hotel is clean but very modest and rooms are very small, however it is a good deal for the price. Would come back again because of the location.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in July 2008. The area is quite dodgy, room very small and carpet looked so old and dirty that we didn't risk stepping on it with bare foot. But we didn't care too much as we spent only few hours in the room sleeping between all our journeys around this wonderful city of Paris. Also the shower and toilet were clean, receptionist always ready for you and with the friendly smile, so averall experience was just fine.

Directions (directly in front of Pigalle metro station) were misleading. We spent a long time looking for hotel! Lack of air-conditioning made it very difficult to sleep at night (we were on ground level, so did not want to leave window, which was large, open). Otherwise, hotel was comfortable.

I have seen quite many negative comments of this hotel, but after my mother and I have stayed there for one night, we were in fact quite satisfied with this hotel. Room was spacious, bathroom was clean and bright too. On the day we checked out, the credit card machine didn't work, but we were lucky to have the helpful staff who told us where we could withdraw some cash so that we can pay for the bill finally. We will come back if we have chance to visit Paris again.

This hotel is fairly excellent: the proportion quality/price is one of the best found out in Paris; even if the breakfast is not included in the room's fare like nearly every hotel in Paris, the standard room I stood in was fairly comfortable, not noisy and absolutely clean (rare quality about hotels in Paris). Reception is kind and competent. The neighbourhood is well provided with markets, chemists' and a stone thrown away from the Metro S.George and Pigalle-Montmartre Nightlife; it is quiet but not desolate, with a bunch of pubs just round the corner. I enjoyed it so much and I strongly recommend it to everyone would like to have a good time and relax in Paris without spending a lot.

First of all I have to say that it has been a reasonable stay. The hotel it has been pleasant and confortable. The main problem is at the end the add some extra charges not reflexed in web. According to them is a tax for 'stay in Paris'. When I look for a final rates I expect exactly this. The problem is not the amount, is the fact. Please, take care about this is you are going to go there.

The location is very good. But there are some mistakes in the description on Venere: - "directly in front of the Pigalle underground station" - no way, we searched for it 20 minutes, you have to walk on several streets from this station - "recently-refurbished rooms, each tastefully furnished and equipped with adjustable air conditioning" - not refurbished, "not so clean" sensation, no air contitioning at all; only the bathroom was clean and new The light bulbs in the bathroom broke and it took more than a day to fix them. We paid with credit card but the same amount was already blocked in the bank account from the day we checked in, which we discovered later trying to use the card, so we had to send faxes to the bank etc. Is this Venere's mistake?

Had stayed here a couple of years ago. Renovations have certainly improved things and the price remains good value for Paris. Location is great. Feels like home for us now with lots of nice restaurants a short walk away. Only complaint would be dodgy reception on one of the TV channels but that was intermittent.

Tutto sommato siamo rimasti soddisfatti.

Nightmare in Paris!!! Please stay away from this hotel! It's nothing but HELL!! This hotel alleged to have each room equipped with air conditioning. No, what you got is electric fan unless you pay the extra to upgrade. The hotel is facing directly to a restaurant called "Amour", which never close before 2am in the morning during my stay and is extremly noisy even you close the window. The provied room was very small and stuffy. There was only one outlet found in the room and I couldn't charge my batteries unless I unpluged the fan. However, the worst part about this hotel is, the people. The employee at the front desk (looks like African-French)is the rudest person I ever met in my whole life. No greeting nor basic professional conduct, he didn't even allow me to finish one single sentence during checking in, always interrupted. When you complained the misleading information and the noise and asked for a better settlement, you got nothing but more frustration and grudge from him. Both my friends(another couple) and I had been treated this way and all of us are from asia. I doubted he must be an extrem racist if such thing didn't happen to other customers. I felt deeply insulted! I'd like to call on all the friends here to boycott such terrible hotel service!!

1.The room is good. very clean.Price is reasonable. Close to subway stations. Grocery shopping is easy with small grocery stores around and prices are cheap. Dinning is also convenient with several nice restaurants around. 2.But too much noises and lights at midnight. The noise from the street is so huge that we (2 rooms,4 people) were waken up at midnight even with windows shut. Moreover, the light from the street and from the near building is strong to lighten the room even when the curtain covered. We did not have good sleep there. 3. One of the reception personnel was not nice and lack of patience. I did not record his name(I should),he got brown skin, with beard, kinda bald. We think he showed discrimination to us. He was very polite to white people just before we talked to him. We were so disappointed with his attitude when we were confused about our reservations(two researvations need to be combined to one), and needed his advice and help. But other reception staffs were very nice.

It was a very very nice clean small Hotel. The staff were dynamic houmorously competent helpfull englich spiking persons. The romm was very nice ,we had all we needed for a relaxing and sleeping after sightseeing. The room was not even as small as I have read. The room had 2 windows so we had enough daylight. The first night it was quite laud from the bar in the street, so we closed the window and desided not to hear it - it worked.I the room there was a small with the name from the the person who cleaned the room, it gave a nice feeling of personal interest of wanting you to feel well. The staff was so nice and helpfull it could not have been better. The Hotel is only a short walk from Metro Pigalle or St.George so it is easy to go i more directions. And a walk to Sacre Ceure through the small streets is an adventure - and I never had the feel of danger in the night. I would go here again to the same Hotel

Our room rate did not include breakfast and I told the reception that we would not have breakfast in the hotel. However, while we checked out, we found that there was 30 Euro on our bill, I think that the hotel just charged on our bill without checking we really took any breakfast. So I think it's a matter of honesty. Inside our room, one third of lights did not work, the toilet flush and the tap did not work neither. The elevator was not working while we checked out. I beleive that this hotel needs maintenace immeidately if they want to provide good service to their customers.

I will not get tired and write them all ! I am sure you do not know whether the breakfast is included to the price or not. Let me answer : NO ! I asked this to the hotel after I made the reservation through Venere.com, but they did not replied me. They even would not tell this to me if I did not ask it during check in. Be careful. They may charge you 7.5 Euro for a very weak breakfast. We have arrived the hotel late at night. They checked us in. The elevator of the hotel was so small. Since you have to take your luggage to your room yourself, you need to make many ups and downs to carry them all. I do not have to mention that you will thus be disappointed by the lobby, (if you prefer to say that place a lobby of course). Well we were not aiming to spend our time in the hotel, so this was not a big problem for us. However, one of the biggest problem comes : the hotel room was VERY cold. The heators were half operating. I called the reception. The man in the reception, who is the ONLY person on duty at that time, (there is no security, bellboy or anyother person) had trouble understanding me coz he had little English. He told me to come down to reception. I thought that he would show me how to open up the heater. I was wrong, he gave me a blanket :) In another night, around 1 a.m, we heard the voices from the next room. The woman was complaining with the hotel: Believe it or not, she hate the hotel and wanted to leave. She asked for manager to talk about the issue but did not find anyone to speak. She got mad when the receptionist told him that "It is not America here". The woman was right in complaining but we were very disturbed with her voice. About the location, it is good. (But still you need to take walk for 10 minutes.) Hotel is close to metro. But I strong suggest you to pay some Euro more and stay in a better place. Especially in Paris, since the metro goes almost anywhere, location of the hotel should not be the top most concern. I work f

Everything was all right but the chambermaids made a little noise in the morning after 9/9:30 o'clock!! You can't sleep well after that hour! However this is a good hotel in a good position. Good price/quality. A lot of shop (and boulangerie!!!) in the surround area. The metro stop was 3/6 min on foot. Not so far from Pigalle, Moulin Rouge and Buffalo Grill (try it!).

General speaking, it was a nice hotel to stay. Especially the room is very clean. However, the kinds of breakfast's food was very limited but with high charge.

It is a little smart hotel. The rooms are not very spaciousness, but they are clean and very quiet. The hotel is in the middle of a very delicious zone with many restaurants, bar and shops. The underground stop is at 5 minutes walk.

The hotel had a good rate price/quality. The room was little but very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast. It costs quite expensive and there are not so many things to choose. It's better take it in a bar. The hotel is close to 2 metro stations (Pigalle and St.Georges) and you can go by foot to Montmartre.

The rooms were very small but they were clean and modern. The hotel was located in a very nice area, with restaurants and bars and only a 5 minute walk to the metro. I would stay here again.

Overall the hotel was quite nice, and good value for the money. Unfortunately, our room was on the ground floor next to the courtyard, so it was a bit noisy in the mornings. As we were on the ground floor, we also could not leave the window open to provide circulation. The location was fantastic - right in the heart of Montmatre - lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise, excellent quality and price. It is very clean, the rooms are very small (as almost all the hotel rooms in Paris), apparently there has been remodelling in the hotel. The employees are very kind and friendly, especially in the reception. Breakfast was not included in the price offered through Venere.com but there are stores and very nice restaurants around. The surroundings are not really attractive but the subway is very near and you can go walking to the Sacre Cour. There is Internet access in the reception of the hotel (though a little bit expensive if you need it is OK). The only problem was that we didn’t have hot water (actually it was a “technical” problem in whole hotel). I am writing this though I think they probably have solved that problem but in case they didn’t… However, they were really sympathetic when informing us about the situation. It is a good choice.

We had stayed previously and organised an extra night at the time, when we returned the extra night was forgotten and we had to pay more to stay in the same room. Our double bed was fitted with a single sheet, only rearranged daily into different configurations none of which really did the job of a double sheet. Our first stay was good this stay was less than good

I have lost two very expensive cameras from that hotel so far I remembered. I asked to the reception desk, they behaved with me very bad. I was disappointed on that day as I lost and then with this type behavior on June 4, 2004 morning. It was another disappointing for me. My wife was scared by their behave in staying that hotel. I have booked by internet and their places not so known for me, so I have no option to change the hotel. I stayed in other hotels in Frejus, Rome, Zurich and Frankfrut, they were very nice. So I think the web pages should maintain some standard and put the hotels name for booking which are well recognized specially for international booking.

The hotel is in a great location and a parking garage is a block away and the cost very reasonable for those with rental cars. The rooms were fine. unfortunately, breakfast service cost extra but there is a great bakery around the corner. There is also an excellent little restaurant accross from the hotel with excellent daily specials. I would stay here again.

The hotel was completely fine. Unfortunately there were some works/building going on in the hotel at the time of our stay which led to very noisy mornings. In fact we could not hear ourselves speak. When we asked about getting another room away from the noise for the second day of our stay we were told that the works would be gone by that afternoon. Unfortunately they were not and we had another very early wake up call!!! we had absolutely no problems with the hotel apart from that.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Not huge but bigger than I thought it might be from other reviews. Close to 2 metro stations. Good range of shops and restaurants nearby and close to Montmartre, etc. Only negative was that the breakfast area was being renovated meaning breakfast had to be eaten in your room and there wasn't a huge amount of room to do this except on the bed.

I WOULD SAY THE HOTEL IS JUST OK, ALTHOUGH THEY HAD PLUMBERING WORK GOING ON WHICH CAUSED A BIT OF NOISE BUT IT WAS DONE BY SUN RISE. THE ROOMS WHERE OK AND THE TOILET WAS VERY CLEAN BUT I WAS MADE TO PAY AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE HOTEL WHICH I WASNT AWARE OF. ALSO I WAS TOLD THE PRICE ON DISPLAY DOES NOT INCLUDE FREE BREAKFAST.

We saw a hotel just across the road to us called the Angleterre which looked very similar and was much cheaper. The hotel did not hold the ambience we expected from the pictures but was 'adequate' but not overwhelmingly pleasing for the price. Also when we came to pay the bill we were charged some kind of extra 'tax' which we were not told about initially.

The hotel was a basic b/b but it was the perfect location for those who are on budgets. it is very close to the sacre couer and the shopping area of rue de hassumann. it is also on a very central metro line which will easily take you to the city centre and all the tourist sites. all in all a very good hotel for the price. do not expect more than you pay for.
