Masséna Hôtel - Paris

I had initially selected a similarly star rated hotel for $40.00 less per night than Massena. I changed my mind based on Massena’s location & assuming that 3 stars would be a uniform rating. I was also assuming that, combined with the pictures of the Massena rooms, a higher price would assure a quality room at Massena; I was sadly mistaken. My room at Massena looked nothing like the photographs. In fact, the furniture looked like something they had drug out of the attic and placed in the room without even cleaning. The shower was impossibly small; only a person with a 12 inch waist could enjoy this shower. The television was a 13 inch model mounted high on the wall. Fortunately we could open the window to cool the room as the room was not air conditioned.
