LUXELTHE Hôtel - Paris

Unlike other Montmartre hotels, Luxelthe is not right across from a bar, so even on Friday and Saturday nights, it was fairly quiet. True, there wasn't an elevator—but for the price I paid, I was really thrilled with the room and its location. The hotel is straight uphill from the Pigalle Metro stop, and if you go to the top of the block, you're at Abbesses, which is a lovely little neighborhood, and leads up to the Montmartre restaurants and shops. Touristy, sure, but the neighborhood is still charming in its way. And nothing at all like the sex shops and strip clubs between the Pigalle and Clichy Metro stops. A very good value in a lovely location.

Das Zimmer war schlicht aber sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für unsere Zwecke war es völlig ausreichend. Supermarkt, Metrostation, Kiosk war alles nur wenige Minuten entfernt und gur zu erreichen.

The staff was very welcoming and even though this hotel is right off of two busy streets, it was very quiet.

A very basic "hotel". Cramped, no lift , no lighting in bedroom, staff didn't speak English, zero faciliites but at last clean in the room

Good clean basic hotel at the foot of Montmartre, just a pity about the surrounding area - it's a red light district.

Metro and cafés for breakfast nearby. Not really quiet but in a small road, we didn't feel disturbed. Cheap and clean, friendly and helpful staff. Wi-Fi worked. No elevator. Dinner: try restaurant L'annexe, 13, rue des Trois Freres.

The owners of the hotel were very helpful, polite and spoke good english. The only down fall which did not spoil anything was there were no hot drink facilities in the room. The bathroom was very clean and modern. I would definately stay again

- Super Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal - zentrale Lage, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Sacre Coeur - gute Metroverbindungen (M2 und M12) - viele leckere Restaurants in der Umgebung, nur wenige Minuten entfernt sogar ein vegetarisches Ökorestaurant zu guten Preisen - auch ein Supermarkt ist in der Nähe zu finden - Bäder sehr gepflegt, sehen tatsächlich aus, wie auf den Fotos - abends viel los, da direkt am Künstlerviertel -einziger Nachteil: recht dünne Wände, störte uns aber nicht weiter mit anderen Worten, kann das Hotel nur empfehlen, das Preis-Leitsungsverhältnis stimmt! Jederzeit wieder!

Very basic room was recently remodeled and was clean and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi. Bath had solid surface tile floors, tile surround. Some of the materials used in bath were, in my opinion, not hotel quality and were already breaking: Shower could not be affixed, so had to be hand held; no drain in sink; very weird flexible pipe on toilet. Room was on 5th floor; walkup via a typical French spiral staircase with no landings. We are over 60, but fortunately, quite fit; still it was hard to carry up our bags. Room safe had been locked, and desk person could not leave to fix it. Good Montmartre location, near Rue Des Abbesses; also 1/2 block from Pigalle metro.

The hotel is perfectly situated, 1 min walking to the metro station, 5min walking to Moulin Rouge. The room and the bathroom were really nice, exactly the same like on the pictures, but I found lots of somebody else's hair in my bed sheets. The towels were also not so clean. But still, this is something that can be corrected if you notice it on time and ask for new sheets and towels. :) I recommend the hotel to people who are planning to spend the whole day outside sightseeing :)

Well, Ihad the chance to go to France with my girlfriend, for a week, our stay was short, but I can sure make very good comments about the hotel, due to the fact that it was in a very nice zone, all the places I am about to mention you will find them in less or five minutes walking from the hotel. First of all is the famous show Moulin Rouge this attracts a lot of tourists to this zone, therefor makes it safe eventhough it might seem dangerous , but it really isn't is a typical red zone but not dangerous. ther is also a mini super, and a very french restaurant where you can eat for less then 10 euros, you will also find a school right next to the hotel), there are a lot of boutiques kind of expensive though. The public transportation is great, the hotel is less than 3 minutes walking to the train station pigalle which will take you to any place in the city, this is south from the hotel going north you will find the famous basilique of the sacred heart which i just as amazing, the streets around are just beautiful typical european streets and full of souvenir shops.The hotel is just as they show it in the pictures you really don't need to get the suite because all the rooms are the same , plasma screen, clean, very good color combinations, the bathroom is clean and nice , there are also some not so great things face one of them is that the people from recpetion don't speak english, but it really isn't a problem because they are very kind and really try to explani themselves and understand you with signs or even speaking your own language, an other thing is that there is no elevator but all of these things really don't matter when the hotel is so warm, My trip was last week , I can sure say one of my 5 favorites in Paris was the Luxelthe Hotel, Well I hope this comments helps you make a decision, Oh by the way if any one knows the name of tthe man in the morning shift (white beard, kind, always wears a hat) please tell me I frgot to ask him

email response was fast. friendly and understanding staff. very clean toilet. not good if u have heavy large bulky luggage as there was no lift. overall experience was good.

All in all good hotel, compared with the price! Room a bit small, but comfortable to sleep 2 people. Bathroom clean and new! Only problem, noise from wall of ceiling above the room, and noises of work outside the hotel. Friendly staff! Comfortable with metro Pigalle! Good bye at next!
