Le Chat Noir Design Hotel - Paris

Just an amazing experience. This was the first and really only hotel we came across when looking at where to stay in Paris. Sure it's located north of just about everything the usual tourist would want to see in Paris but we we're far from the usual tourists. Sure it's near strip clubs like others have reviewed but it's PARIS, who cares?? The doors are locked at night and the staff is friendly 24hrs of the day. The Blanche Metro stop is right outside, at least 4 cafes are nearby for breakfast or lunch. Ok so let's talk about room size and some other reviews I've seen on here. Um, it's Europe the rooms are going to be small! Us Americans are just down right spoiled by size. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a larger room and I have to say that for Europe it WAS a large room. Large bed, two windows with views of Paris and one hell of a large bathtub that will give any large american hotel bathtub a run for it's money. If I'm going to complain about anything I would say the bathroom mirror sits a bit high. If you're 6'2" it's fine but if you're under say 5'6" you may have to exercise the tippy toes. Still trying to figure out why you can't use a hairdryer in the bathroom due to the adapter problem but that's just a small inconvenience. The rooms were always clean when we got back from Parisian excursions throughout the city - sometimes 9pm to 9am Parisian excursions. Do try Sacre Coeur just up the hill at sunrise after staying out all night, a breathtaking view! I noticed there was a TV but it was never turned on. After all it would just have snow and cheese right?(had to plug European Vacation just once). Overall a wonderful experience from staying at Le Chat Noir. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Laissez bon temp rouler!

Nice and well located hotel. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel location. We would go back again. We were on a business trip and had to do some work. The desk in the room was small, but we set up our PCs in the breakfast room and it was perfect. The bars and restaurants around the hotel gave obismal service, but all you need to do is go up one street to Rue Abbesse, where civilised service is provided.

We were in Paris as part of a vacation. It was the first time we stayed at the hotel. We got an upgrade to a large, spacious room and had a lovely time. The only drawback is we are not big fans of the area, but we LOVED Le Chat! If we stay in Montmartre again, we will stay there.

The hotel is in the middle of the bars and clubs and sexshops, lots of people and verry much traffic even with the windows clossed to loud!!! small rooms, verry small bathroom! if you want breakfast, make sure you are on time cause there is not much to eat!!!

Great hotel and location. Lived up to all of the reviews and was well priced. Would definitely stay there again.

Modern hotel in an interesting Area of Paris: Close to Montmartre, right next to the metro-station and close to the Moulin Rouge and the museum of Erotism (which was quite funny, in fact). We'd come back, if we'd fo to Paris again.
