The staff at the reception were very kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was decent. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the thin walls, the lack of towels in the bathroom, and a shower that did not work.

Room we had booked on Venere was not available. Given a double bed for two teenage boys - not very happy! Location and distance to attractions and metro was good.

The Manager and all the employees of the hotel are very welcoming and nice, we have visited 2 rooms with different decoration, both in very good taste. The breakfast buffet is typically French. We also loved the neighbourhood, it is a typical Parisian district, very calm, with cafe-restaurants and a lot of shops, it is also very close to the Tour Eiffel, champs de Mars, Montparnasse and the exposition centre of Porte de Versaille We warmly recommend this family hotel.

I had travelled to Paris with family (2 young kids). Allthough we had booked 1 quadruple room, at the time of check-in we received 2 double rooms, arguing that the single double room is occupied. They compensate with 2 double rooms next to each other and breakfast. Considering we stayed only one night that was no big incovenient. Other than that the hotel was ok, I recommend it.

We liked the hotel location the mixture of interesting bars and restaurants and residential made for a pleasant stay. It was easy to travel around Paris from this hotel mixing a day in Disneyland with another day seeing the sights. The room was ideal for us and our two 7 and 8 year old girls.

The hotel is near an underground station. You can walk to Eiffel tower or the Invalides. Our room was at the very last floor of the hotel. So we had a good view over the area. The room wasn't very large except of the bath. It's a good place to stay.

I was surprised to find WC right in the room, without any separation from living area. OK, living in single room it´s not a problem!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We were told all French hotel rooms are noisy but our room was very quiet at night (and we slept with the window open at night as the weather was warm), We also had a view to the Eiffel Tower which was wonderful, especially at night. The location was fantastic, with all kind of little shops nearby as well as metro station and points of interest. The staff was helpful and friendly, helping us with bookings (eg: shuttle to airport etc)

Room was small but comfortable for single person at the price charged. Convenient location near Metro and Buses and good local shopping and restaurants. Did not like the breakfast so ate out.

The hotel was really quiet, though conveniently near a Metro station. Desk people very helpful, rearranging our rooms so we were beside eachother, rather than on 2 floors. Also helpful in giving ideas about where to eat nearby, and holding on to our luggage after checkout, so we could do some more sightseeing. Good breakfast too. Our rooms were really quiet, overlooking a small garden courtyard, so we woke up to birdsong. Great place to stay, and convenient for car owners too - garage in the same street.

For a very modest price ,(average 42 euros or 30 pounds sterling EACH - BED & BREAKFAST for 5 people in September) given the central location in a capital city , the service and facilities were better than expected . Buffet breakfast was a wide choice ,well presented. We had a very enjoyable stay , were more than satisfied in all aspects - using Hotel Delos as a base to escort 3 cousins from Canada around the sites of Paris . We have recommended Hotel Delos to relatives , and we will come to stay again.

The room was very small. I needed a triple since I was traveling with 2 other friends and our room came with a double bed and one extra cot (that broke the first night!) When we told the staff they were happy to help and fixed it right away. The room was definitely cramped. Bathroom was extremely small and shower had no pressure. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. I would return to the hotel, but I would need a room to myself or if I was traveling with others, I would request the largest room.

Hotel parking not possible with a roof box but Staff helpful and if you can get parking after 9pm your vehicle can stay on the spot free indefinately! They received a case of wine for me that I arranged to have sent to the hotel, but the English of some staff very limited creating confusion and doubt as to whether or not it had been received.

For making a side seeing tour in Paris and only for spending the night in the hotel it´s good enough. The offered breakfest is for that what was offered to expensive. For european standart it´s to less what was presented.

The stay was amazing! The people and the location were everything advertised and more. Within a 20 min walk to the Eiffel Tower and 2 min walk to the metro, the hotel was a great blend of personal care and tourist requirements! Definitely a thumbs up!!

Enjoyable stay overall, could do with sky tv, only the one english speaking chanel and that was just for news and repetitive. the room was very small but the bed was very comfortable and clean with the ladies doing the room on a daily basis. smashing little punjabi restaurant next door, ask for raja, he couldnt do enough for you . very convenient for metro and in a lovely area too.great italian restaurant artound the corner too. only crib would be the size of the room , bit small, but adequate

I agree with former comments about the hotel--the value of the stay is unbeatable in this part of Paris. Short walk (15-20 minutes) to Eiffel tower and many of the more central attractions. It's a clean place that is nicely decorated, even if the rooms are a little small. If you are looking for something higher than a 2+ star hotel, this is not the ritz, just a simple clean hotel. Staff was reasonably friendly and helpful also. I will be back in Paris a couple times in the next few months and will almost certainly stay in the same hotel.

The rooms were cheerful. There was a nice personal note in it: no luxery, but pretty. Price/quality very well. A small piece of Paris, not super chic, but pleasant. I liked it, felt at home there.

If you're claustrophobic, just stay away! The room was awfully tiny, the bathroom barely had room for the door to open properly. Fixtures were broken, such as toilet seat or shower head. Mixed reception from staff: the French ones were pleasant and helpful, the non-French ones (i.e immigrants speaking their own language on the phone) were just rude. The entire hotel needs refurbishing, everything looks so old and musty.Very good area though - but honestly if it's cheap you want, you'll get cheap and nasty here. Mind you, for what it is, this is not cheap at all.

It was relatively a nice place to stay for the few days we were there, but the next time we go to Paris, we are going to pay more money for a different hotel. It was within decent walking distance of the Eiffel Tower...if you walk down the block and look left you can see it. There was maybe two people on staff who could speak english out of the many we encountered. They make you think that the 'continental breakfast' is free, but it's 8 euro per person, and you don't even find that out till you check out! It would have been fine if it were worth it! Our room was really small and the bathroom is big enough for you to turn around in...oh and no tub...just one TINY shower stall. If you choose to stay at this hotel make sure to bring your own wash cloths. When I asked the receptionist for a few wash cloths, he looked at me like I had a horn on my head. So, choose wisely!

We were a group of 3 friends, our room was towards the main street below and the noises from a pub there were a little disturbing, but once the sleep takes over you all noises are gone!! ;) I only problem we felt was the room was too small, hardly any place to move!! Ideal if you are just looking for a bed to sleep on in low price!!

Overall I was very happy with our room. The hotel is located near a bunch of markets, so you can get food cheap rather than having to go out and eat. The room was clean and the front desk was very helpful, they spoke some english. The elevator was very small, and you could only fit one person with a bag in it. It is very close to a metro stop(about a block and a half) So you can go anywhere in paris in 10 minutes.

This was a nice cheap hotel, but I was only there for two days and there must have been 5 different concierges. Only one of them was nice, the others were unsurprisingly rude. You get what you pay for, if you want to stay at a nice hotel in Europe, it is a given that you must spend a lot, otherwise you will be obliged to receive subtle insults from the concierges. Have fun and good luck.

The previous commentary was 100% accurate. The staff were marvelous, the breakfast was unvarying but ample, and a good price. Location was great and gave you a "village" feel. L'Angle cafe at the end of the street was a favorite (open 6 am-2 am) and all the local markets. A nearby park at the Vaugirard Metro stop was a pleasant surprise. Abdel, Flora, Alexandra and Anna were especially wonderful! A change exchange down Cambronne had the best rate we found in Paris. Everything you could need is within walking distance. I will definitely stay there again.

This was an excellent two star hotel. The room was small but everything was very clean and comfortable. I was on the street side so there was some noise but it was bearable since the windows reduced much of the noise when closed. Television was limited but there was BBC World and German DW with some English programming for the English speaking visitor. The geographic location in the 15th district was excellent as it was only two blocks from the Metro. By Metro, shopping at Montparnasse is only 10 minutes away. The Tour Eiffel is only about 15 minutes away. Everything that a person could want is within two blocks including restaurants, pharmacy, police station, taxi stand, bakery, wine shop, and every other king of speciality store that anyone could want. All major tourist attractions (Louvre, Notre Dame, etc.) are within easy access by Metro. If you want to save money by avoiding expensive hotels, this is the way to go. If you see reviews that are particularly critical of this hotel, please read Polly Platt's book French Or Foe about French culture before traveling to France.

Although the hotel I stayed in was very good in many ways (clean, tidy, cheap, good breakfast) my holiday was almost spoiled by the manner of the staff towards me, which was unacceptable in several instances: When I arrived at the hotel (Monday 28th April), I had decided to do my laundry immediately at a launderette, one minute's walk away (having stayed elsewhere in the country for the preceeding week). The receptionist, however, followed me into the street, shouted at me, and beckoned me back, in order to return my key, which I had kept on my person since I had intended to return within 2 minutes to the hotel. Whilst I can understand that the receptionist thought perhaps I was leaving the hotel, and equally was justified in insisting I deposit my key, it was wholly unacceptable to shout at a guest publically- particularly when the hotel already possessed my credit card details and could have charged for the key even if I HAD intended to leave. I do not know whether the hotel has had problems with single males staying before, or with English guests in general, but it does not justify suspicion of that kind: The same receptionist chose to phone my room on the second morning of my stay enquiring why I had not taken breakfast. I am mystified as to why this should have been necessary, since the breakfast at the hotel was buffet-service- unless this was a second attempt to check to see that I had not "slipped away". Either way, I am sorry to say I will not be staying at the Hotel Delos, Rue de Gal. Beuret in the future, and will advise my friends and acquaintances who wish to visit Paris to find alternative accomodation
