This was third time I stayed in Innova hotel. It's not situated near the touristic place, but it's just in front of Metro station to get anywhere. I think the quality of room and sevices are correct compared to price (which is not always the case in hotels in Paris!) I'll return to Innova hotel for the next stay in Paris.

Excellent staff, very friendly and very helpful, speaks english. Location is A +++++ as very near the Metro station, lots of bakeries in the area, Chinese takeaway just a few buildings away, very nice and peaceful area, had a view of the Eiffel tower from our room, free wifi, very comfortable bed and pillows, very clean bathroom and shower. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

We booked this hotel based on online reviews but descriptions such as "a gem" and "a real find" are not entirely accurate. We stayed in a twin room for 4 nights. We had read that the rooms were small but they are very small by north american standards, and about average or slightly below by European standards. With the twin beds pushed togher ther is just enough room to walk around them on all sides. There is a small closet and a small desk but no dresser. Bathrooms were clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. The hotel staff was friendly enough but did not give us any information about the hotel when we checked in. We didn't realize breakfast or wi-fi was available we asked on the second day. No maps of the area or recommendations for dining were available. The hotel was located on a uninteresting but relatively quite street, but the bustle of Montparnasse was only 2 blocks away. If you want to be in the centre of the action this is not the place for you but overall I thought it was well situated. Good proximety to the train station and subway stop. Underground parking for cars is available a couple of blocks away for about $20E per day. It's an easy walk to most of the main attractions on the left bank.

The room and bathroom were very small. The location was great, you could see the Eiffel Tower from the room. There was considerable street noise. The room had only one outlet, which unfortunately would blow out when tried to use it. The staff at the main desk were nice and helpful but you would do well to speak at least some French. I did wish that a hot water pot was provided in the room or free coffee provided in the lobby in the morning. Coffee to go is hard to find in Paris.Overall a good hotel for people traveling on a budget, as Paris is very expensive. Small but clean rooms and a friendly staff is all we hoped for and the Innova provided it. We would recommend the Innova and we would stay there again.

Recommended. However be aware that the rooms facing the boulevard (having the nice view) are also noisy from traffic. The surroundings are lovely if you are after real Parisian daily life, "middle-upper class". Two métro lines VERY close. Don't miss the Pierre Hermé bakery, first thing after you turn left onto rue de Vaugirard. Mr Hermé invented the famous (French) macaron, and these are still the best - but compare for yourself with the Ladurée version! (where Mr Hermé used to work)

Hotel was comfortable but I have one issue. We booked the hotel for 29th August but could not find booking on Eurorail. So on the morning of 29th at 6 o' clock I called the hotel manager & told him about my problem but he refused to cancel our booking so we had to pay in full. I think this is unfair to the tourists and they should be accommodated.

For a two star, we were very impressed with the quality of the service, room cleanliness, and knowledge of the desk captains. It was also walking distance from the Gare Montparnasse rail station. The Eiffel tower was walking distance also. Proximity to food-lamb,suchi,italian,chinese,etc. was steps away! I highly recommend this hotel to others. I definately will be staying there again.

Great locaction for Metro and train station. Had a good experince when we stayed here 2007, that's why we returned. Upgrades to hotel since then. Bathroom was totally refurbished. New tile and fixtures. Everything clean and sparkling. Fat fluffy towels and instant hot water. Lots of eateries in the area to satisfy varied tastes. Great value.

Good overall, more than fills the need for a good place to rest in Paris. I'll say the location is good, cafes and pleasant surroundings in the immediate neighborhood. A block from the hotel is Rue de Vaugirard (not Blvd. Vaugirard), a very good street. Turn left out the hotel entrance and right on Rue de Vaugirard, and in a 30 minute very pleasant walk, you'll arrive at Bl. St. Michel. On the way you'll walk by cafes, restaurants, grocers, patisseries, various shops, and go past the Luxembourg gardens and Odeon to St. Michel. It cuts through different neighborhoods, so is an interesting slice of Parisian life. An excellent restaurant on Vaugirard (#27) is La Maison du Jardin (reservations!). Truly a find. Across from the hotel (corner of Pasteur and Rue Vaigirard) is the nice Cafe Pasteur (great breakfasts and coffee, lunch). If you turn left on Vaugirard and walk 2 or 3 blocks, on the right side of the street is a terrific patisserie (can't remember the name, but if you see it, you'll know). The humble jambon and fromage becomes a culinary masterpiece. Everything is perfect at this place. You watch the bread coming out of the oven.... The Metro IS very convenient, about 50 meters from the hotel, BUT although convenient, some of the correspondances to different lines at the Montparnasse station(the main metro hub in the area) are very long with lots of steps up and down. No problem other than to note that it could be too much for some. We did it with our bags from the airport to the hotel, but opted to take a cab when we were leaving Paris from Gare de la Est 3 days later-- didn't want to break a sweat that early in the morning. The hotel rooms are not luxurious, but we had a 7th floor room with views up and down Bl. Pasteur, and across toward the Tour Montparnasse, and in the far distance Sacre Coeur, and layers of other Parisian bldgs. The windows were good, the bed less so... we did sleep well because it was our first 3 nights in Europe, so no direct complain

The Hotel Innova turned out to be the perfect place to stay for a week in Paris. The hotel staff was invariably courteous and helpful. The breakfast, served from 7:00 to 10:30 consisted of fresh rolls, croisant and chocolat pain, yogurt, fruit and cereal plus your choice of coffee, chocolat or tea - all in place and served by a pleasant staff. The hotel is right across from the Pasteur metro station and very convenient as a base of seeing the city. There are many good restaurants within walking distance and easy metro trips away. The rooms were small but that is expected. The windows when closed provide a good sound buffer to the traffic outside. The only complaint I might have is that it was difficult to close the door without making a loud noise. The coming and goings of other guests was a bit disturbing since this meant lots of door closures. I did become used to it after a while and my daughter didn't even notice it. It would be nice if there had been wifi in the rooms. It was available in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was perfect for our trip.

Location was excellent, with public transport ( metro and buses ) very close. Nearby restaurants within minutes offered various cuisines that were reasonably priced and very satisfying. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, Rooms small but clean and tidy. We were disappointed with the view but as our room was at the rear of the building, I guess it was to be expected.

This was my second stay at the Innova, Paris. It was quite different from my first. This time I was on the floor above the street (1st in Europe / 2nd in USA)and due to the topography, the people on the opposite side of the street could look directly into the room, and not from very far away! The only draperies were the heavy light-blocking ones to be used at night, so if you wanted to relax in the room during the day you had to close those and turn on the lights. A real waste of electrical energy. The other thing I noted was that, although the air conditioning was "under construction" in my room, if it had been operational, using it would have cost me an extra €10.00 per day. (I found this information on the sign behind the door) All of this notwithstanding, I like the Innova and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay there, but, and we knew it ahead of time, the rooms were small, there was no air conditioning, and it was noisy as we had a room with a balcony. If we had not 'volunteered' for each they would have been an unpleasant surprise. The location is excellent for getting around the city on the Metro.

Surrounding neighborhood was better than I expected in terms of restaurants, patisserie, etc. but was simply GREAT for transportation with Metro stop immediately across the street, practically right out the front door. Room was small, to be expected in Paris, but comfortable. Mattresses could use replacing, very thin and lumpy. No street noise, but the noise from inside, doors slamming, feet walking, was very loud. Breakfast OK, nothing special, but the coffee was good.

This hotel is conveniently located right next to the Metro and the 95 bus service. There is also a shopping centre and major European railway station just three blocks away. The rooms are spacious though a little dated; staff are friendly and speak English; rooms are cleaned every day and linen changed; though we overlooked a main thoroughfare noise was not a problem; jugs and coffee/tea are not supplied in the room; there is a lift. I would stay there again.

The hotel itself is pretty basic, ugly facia, simple decor, a little used. My main issue was that when we checked in for a three day stay, our shower wasn't clean, and there were body hairs littered around the basin. I called the desk (as I speak french) and notified them and asked them to clean it for the next day, it wasn't cleaned, I repeated the request for the next day as a shower was now urgent - but it was not cleaned. I ended up requesting cleaning supplies from the night deskman to clean it myself so that I could shower. They seem to go halfway for cleaning, but other than that, the location is good - mere steps from the metro, and the beds are comfortable - though the pillows are dismal. Probably the weakest hotel I've stayed in for a while.

My wife and I found Innova to be a great place to stay. With Metro across the road and a lovely restaraunt offering 15.90 Euros for entree/main or main/desert. The food was really great and plentiful. The Concierge (older gentleman with glasses) was extremely great. Nothing was too difficult to organise and he did it with vigour. We booked with him a trip to Giverny at about 10pm and he said that the office opened at 6.30am and he would put a reservation in our pigeon hole if he could book it. There it was the next morning after his shift had finished. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and the breakfast very good. One could get more bread rolls and pasteries without any questions being asked. For 8 euros each a real bargain. One comment which i would suggest to the cleaning staff. Although the room was clean, the mattress in the double bed was uncomfortable. For two nights we placed the mattress on the floor to get better support and found all this dirt between the mattress and the ensemble. On the third morning I turned the mattress around 180 degrees so our head was where our legs would have been. This simple change made the bed so so comfortable. As a suggestion if the cleaning staff can rotate the mattresses 180 degrees, the beds would be that much more comfortable. Once again a very peaceful, comfortable stay. We met many families with children and they were all made welcome and were very comfortable in their rooms.

Make sure to ask for court side. Very nice and professional staff. Very convenient location, right in front of metro station. Rooms are small but that's the norm in Paris. I searched many hotels on many sites. The rating and price are an unbeatbale value. Trust me - i did the research! I almost didn't book here as i found a great 3-star place at a similar price, but i saw that Hotel Innova was rated slightly higher by guests and switched my reservations to stay here. I am very happy i did that. This place is awesome for "only" a 2-star. In fact, i think it is on par with 3-stars. The welcoming was kind and sincere and throughout our stay the personnel (with one exception) was VERY helpful. The location is fairly convenient within city as the nearby metro is connected to two main lines that take you to most of the city. The places that dont directly connect can be reached with one or, occasionally, two transfers. The area of the hotel is quiet and seemed pretty safe for the most part. It is not in the heart of paris but is just outside, offering easy access without the noise and hustle and bustle. The Pasteur metro station is literally across the street (well, only halfway across the street). There are several inexpensive, but good restaurants with good service and food located next door to the hotel or within walking distance. The best bet is to stick with prix fixe (fixed price) menus. They are very affordable and fill you up. French portions are generous, as they love to eat! There's also a pharmacy and grocery store very close and a mall not too far away. The room was small but standard for european size. If you are one of my fat fellow americans then you may notice the size difference, especially in the bathroom, otherwise it was ample for our 4 large suitcases and still allowed us room to dress and lay out out things. It is nicely decorated and was everything we needed and could ask for on a budget. Unless you want luxury, i don't know why anyone would want more. It even had a samll balcony and nice view of Monparnasse and surrounding area. Those that complain of noise from the window/balcony door are not closing it properly. It

Outside noise was loud, however the room was very nice and clean. The men at the front desk were all very kind and helpful. The price/quality ratio is definately good. I would have expected less out of a 2 star, but I thought it was 3 star quality. I would stay again definately. Very convenient since the tube stop is directly infront of the hotel. Hotel was great value for a 2 star. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Day staff were exceptionally helpful and very nice. Night staff member was quite rude and unhelpful when we got there at midnight, we were placed in a twin instead of a double. He didn't seem interested and told us to speak to the manager in the morning. He was quite abrupt. The staff member during the day soughted it out well and we were placed in a double that very next day. Apart from the rude night staff member we would stay there again due to the assistance and help received by the two day staff.

This hotel is nicely located by the Pateur Station. There are plenty of bars for hanging out or catching a game. It is also a reasonable walk to the various fun parts of Paris. Given the price we paid, I can't complain too much. However, I do have a complaint. The walls are very thin. People around you, above, and blow you can hear you and vice versa. The cleaning crew talks extremely loud which woke me up about 7:30 AM everyday. I would try other hotels around the same price before I settle on Innova.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I stayed in 14 different hotels for our European vacation in the summer of 2006 (Aug – Sept) – so all our reviews will be comparing the hotels on the trip. European hotels are smaller and simpler than American hotels, so it doesn’t seem fair to compare them. For the most part, breakfast in a B&B is not worth it – especially if you have to pay a little more. We generally ate one morning at the included breakfast, and then skipped the other mornings – looking for a local place to enjoy breakfast. Also, all of our hotels had small bathrooms and very small showers – so be prepared with a good attitude and knowledge that you are there to see the sights – not soak in the tub! Very small room and bathroom. Nice views – close to Metro stop. Not many restraints near by. Nice staff. Convenient Internet station in Lobby.

Very close to the Monparnasse Tower, and a visit to the top, is a must. Hotel treated us in a very polite and helpfull manner. Would certainly use them again for a visit to Paris

We loved the Innova. The employees were friendly, kind and extremely helpful with exact directions .The Metro is just across the street. The room was clean and quiet and we had view of Eiffel Tower and the price was good. The Hotel also has excellent Internet access and the breakfast with service was excellent. Highly recommend Innova to stay at. We were referred by friends and happy to have stayed there.Again the staff was outstanding.

We were really happy with the hotel. The staff isn't overly helpful - but really who cares. The location is great since you're in a quieter neighbourhood and the subway is right across the street that reaches anywhere. The Eiffel tower is about a 15-20 min walk. I thought it was great!

The best thing that we liked about Innova is the location and the very close proximity to the Metro station which made our travel to different parts of Paris very convenient. The Metro is right opposite to the hotel. Also the gentleman in the reception was very friendly and helpful in guiding us to wherever we wanted to go . That was very heartening. Language was not a problem. Overall we like the hotel.

At booking I clearly request a quite room. At arrival they provided , altough at six floor , a noisy room. I reqest to chenge , but no alternativeroom was available, and if available it would cost 81 euros W/O breackfast. Aftrer two non sleeping nights , I left for a more confortable hotel.

This accomodation is perfect for visiting Paris. Rooms are small but they are very pretty, clean and comfortable, moreover they are really near to al the transports (metro and rail). Unfortunatly the main road near the hotel is quite noisy soon in the morning. Some rooms have the air conditioning facility (no other 2 star hotels can provide such facility) but you have to pay 10 euro extra. Breakfast was quite good. We had an excellent stay in this hotel and we will probably come back in future.

I found the facilities offered by the hotel to be of a very high standard, certainly a hundred times better than what one might expect in the UK for the same price. Its proximity to a metro station was also a great bonus and the hotel was situated in a really lovely area with the Eiffel tower in full view! The staff were great too...generally just a fantastic place to stay!
