The hotel was a very reasonable price for Paris, and we thought we had got a fantastic deal on a boutique-style hotel. In reality we were a little disappointed. The hotel was described as a design hotel and the photos made it look like a lovely little boutique. While the rooms were clean and fairly spacious, they were quite shabby and didn't live up to the photos provided. The most design/boutique-like area of the hotel is the public lounge area near reception. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly though and fulfilled our request for a room with a bath upon arrival. The area is good in that there is a Metro and cafes, bars and shops nearby, but we hadn't realised quite how far from the centre of Paris the hotel was - it sits on the very periphery, although this is no fault of the hotel, more our poor planning. All in all the stay was fine and probably lived up to the price we paid, although i didn't feel we had, in the end, got a bargain.

Rooms are quite dirty as well as bathrooms. People working at the receptions too often do not say goodbye.

Excellent placement of the hotel, very very close to the Metro. Center of town very easy to reach. Good and confortables rooms and beds. Good restaurants, bars and supermarkets near the hotel. We will go there again!

Very nice and clean hotel, perfectly located (literally few steps from an entrance to Metro), especially for those travelling from/to Orly - you have a variety of choices of how to get there from going on a tram a few stops to Cite Universitaire and continuing there on RER to Anthony, going few stations by Metro to Denfert-Rochereau and continuing on Orlybus or, finally, getting a cab that will drive you to the airport in less than 15 minutes in off-peak hours for only about 30 EUR. I will definitely stop there once more if I have a chance to get to Paris again anytime soon!

I used this hotel several times, and was rather disappointed this time. Take care of apparent bargains on Venere (apparent fare reductions)! Some rooms are tiny and take light from a tiny dirty light well. Moreover, my room was heavily smelling smoke (which I believe is its normal usage since an ashtray was present on the table). No bedside (no space for it). Many small degradations (painting falling off, broken bulbs, apparent wires, bad fixings of appliances, no working light on the table, etc.) To finish, breakfast is not included in the prices quoted on Venere : so one must add another 12euros, which is a lot for what is proposed. You should rather go directly to the excellent baker that is next door. And there are many cafes as well. It will be cheaper and more pleasant. Overall, this hotel was nice and pleasant when it had just been refurnished and redisigned, but it is aging very rapidly, and is not maintained at the level it claims to be.

The Hotel is very well served by public transports, this is a very important issue! Surrounding the area we could find several very good pâtisseries. The luggage room is an excellent option to the travelers that want to stay at the city after the check-out.

Ottimo collegamento alla metropolitana (che è sotto l'hotel). ottimo il fornaio accanto all'hotel (provate un vero croissant). unica pecca: manca l'aria condizionata e la ventilazione nelle camere ma sono tranquille e silenziose.

I was there with 3 kids for one night and can fully recommend. Pros: location, metro in front, restaurants around, room spacy enough for 4 persons, nearly no street noise when window closed, friendly reception. Cons: difficult to park a car in front of the hotel when arriving - but parking garage offered for 18 Euro per 24h (noon-noon only), very small elevator, cleaning behind the multifuction sofa which was used as bed can be improved.

The pictures on the webside lie. This is hardly a so-called design hotel or boutique hotel but more of a re-done late 18th century town house complete with wall-to-wall carpets in garish colours throughout. Actually, the whole place is like a nightmare from the worst days of the 1980s. Do not stay here!

If you don't mind taking the metro everywhere, this is an excellent, quiet hotel with good breakfast offering much more than the standard croissant. And convenient to Monparnasse station.

The best thing about this hotel was the metro stop directly outside the hotel so it didnt really matter that we were on outskirts a bit as you could always get anywhere in 20mins. The hotel itself was ok, website showed nice rooms but our room had wallpaper coming off the wall and beds were quiet low too, on the first night we kind of felt quite itchy which subsided the 2nd night so not sure what went on there, kind of felt the mattress could do with a hoovering!!! Our room was at front so it overlooked the road which was very busy and noisy every night so you couldnt leave the balcony window open when room heats up (no air con), sirens were constantly going & lots of police cars around so not sure if it was because there was something going on that weekend that i was oblivious too. Reception staff welcomed us when we arrive but never once told us about facilities or where dining room was so we never ate there. The stairs were very winding and lift extremely small - not for the Claustrophobic!! There is a nice Steak house around the corner and late opening supermarket where we bought our breakfast and stored in the mini fridge each evening. Also about Paris in general, i wasnt aware all the shops closed on a sunday so we had no retail therapy whats so ever, best to research where you want to go and what you want to do / see before you get there. And, if you've never been before i recommend the shuttlebus to and from the airport, well worth the money

The hotel was nice and good enough. With a subway entrance right in front, so good located to move through subway. Rooms are small but cute. Problem was the parking. They don't have a parking and sent us to one two-three blocks away. The guy in charge there, first, didn't speak a word of english or spanish and second aparently there was no room in the parking and since he had no way to communicate, he ended up nervous, yelling and he even spat at me. I guess, by the looks, that he insulted me badly, but I can't really tell, since i didn't understand a word of all the screaming, though i got scared and left quickly. Pretty nasty all scene. At the hotel i tried to get a complaint sheet but they didn't give me one and the only explanation was that 'French people are not like this, just people from Paris'. Apart from that, the hotel was fine, old, but painted with bright colours and clean, although never a boutique hotel as i know them.

It is really costeffective for an expensive place like Paris. It's directly in front of the metro station and just next to a couple of brasseries where you can have breakfast for the half of the price requested by the hotel.

Great place to stay. Right outside of the metro/tram/bus station and in a good neighbourhood. They clean the rooms every day but most of the (friendly) employees hardly understand english. A small hotel that was great for its price(~67/day). I wouldn't give more than that though. Given the prices i will prefer them again for sure :)

This Hotel is very good!!! The staff is nice and the rooms are clean! One of the best things is that the Metro station is just in front of the hotel. And there is a supermarket next to it so you can buy your things to eat for example the brakefirst there!!! so did I because the brakefirst in the hotel is a bit expensive (12€). This hotel is a very good choise if you are intrested in cheking out the city and see all the sights. And there is a free luggage room if you are already checked out. The price is good and the hotel is very clean and with lots of flat screen tv's in there quite modern.

Overpriced breakfast. Shifting my luggage between the ground floor, the first-floor luggage room, and the 4th floor room in the tiny lift was a bit of a struggle.
