Nice hotel, poor location. Room not ready when I arrived (5 PM), the previous clients' stuff were still in the room ...

This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. It will do as a max 3 star, also considering the price. The hotel is old and not very well looked after. It's located near a railway station and at a very busy traffic junction. Trains and traffic will keep you from sleeping, unless you are a good sleeper. The personnel was not keen to speak anything else than French. Before my stay I called about parking space and was told that there was a parking garage near by. However, I found there was no opportunity to park my car, other than trying to find a place along the packed roads. The hotel attendant didn't care. He suggested to park the car on the taxi parking!! The room was in poor condition for a 4 star hotel, very small, broken and dirty utensils and not very clean. I would not recommend this hotel as a 4 star hotel.

A good choice for the money. I stayed there 5 nights in Feb. 2007. The room and bathroom were always very clean, relatively quiet, and there was always hot water. The room was very small with minimal storage space; however, the bathroom was larger than needed. The elevator is barely able to accomodate 2 travelers with their bags at one time. Breakfast was included, but I never ate there...I rarely eat in hotels. I liked the location. Skip the Rome metro stop; it is better to use the Villiers Metro stop, which is a shorter and more interesting walk to/from hotel, and has direct access to Gare du Nord. You pass by many small restaurants and cafe's, as well as a bustling open-air food market on Rue Villiers (closed on mondays) I found Ely's bar/restaurant across the street served decent inexpensive meals until late evening, and there is a cyber cafe/small market next door. If you are a walker, as I am, you will be able to access major shopping areas on Hausmann Blvd.directly south 1-2 miles away. My only concern was upon checkout, they dinged me 7 euros for a bottle of minibar wine I never used. The staff member offered to discuss it with the manager later, but I had a flight to catch and it was not worth the trouble to fight it. My fault in not requesting bill updates during my stay; always do so.

delightful decoration in the room, with a smooth erotic nuance,a small bonbonniére (maybe a little too small, but not unsuitable for a short stay). On the whole a very pleasant small hotel.

This is a nice cozy hotel, especially if your windows are not on the noisy Rue de Rome. It is located in a good area. However it does not correspond to the level of 4 stars that it has. Overall, it is a nice hotel, but I would give it 3 stars, 3,5 stars as a maximum. All this said, it is well worth the money I paid for it.

On business trip - good clean hotel, easy access to northern part of the city. Would use again if in that area

By the time we arrived in Paris, I found that I had become very sick (in fact, my view from Paris was my bedroom window :) ) All of the staff at the front desk were very helpful... but we really appreciated the kindnesses of a red-headed gentleman there at the front desk...I wish I knew his name... who was very kind and accomodating!

It's a nice hotel with very kind staff, room is clean but a little bit narrow(but anyway, it's Paris). 2 problems I have to mention: First, it's a little bit far from the Metro station (around 1km by 15 minutes walking distance), but good thing is there is a train station nearby, also bus is convinenent. Second problem is that there is no garbage bin in the wash room. Generally, it's a nice place, and I will come back.

The only problem I had as a guest was the shower....there was no curtain and only 1/2 a door so no matter how careful you were, the entire bathroom was soaked when you were done.
