I travel with my girl, which we do business trip. For us is important that service and management of Hotels, have to be efficient and helpful generally, rather than Caribbean free style spirit..non sense pseudo happy smile for tips mentality. The is a good 3 star Hotel, for 4 star missing all want has to have to be 4 star hotel. The room is small, could be small and smart, isn"t the case.No space for your things to put,no extra chair to sit,the wardrobe is moldiness..the carpet is totally used..they cut your internet connection the last day before you go..and the reception is not able to help you..the cleaning woman cleans the room in 3 min.without your permission to enter the room..nobody takes the used glasses(drinks you had) from the one valuable small table..you got everything on it..!!the very poor breakfast buffet have only french(American)Coffee, also not decaffeinate(the one i drink.)breakfast costs 15eur per person!!This Hotel runs by accident..missing the manager. For more you have to pay me,because i don"t have more time..and it is not my business!!best regards.A.N

We have lived in US and UK and travel to Paris several times a year. We had a couple with us from the US and we all were very happy with this hotel. In view of the fact that the location is very convenient (Le Marais area)and they do have parking (23 euros a night) well worth it. Reasonably easy to find if you have GPS, unfortunatly our "gypsy" decided to take the week-end off, so we had to rely on google print outs (which we always carry just in case). The gentleman who checked us in was fluent in English and very personable. We did not try the breakfast as we like to experience different "French cafes" every day. We will stay there again for sure.

This hotel was wonderful. Large, clean, very friendly and helpful staff. The only problem we had was the air conditioning was not cooling the room, making it much too hot to sleep.

The hotel is very charming and very conveniently located. It is obviously not new and the room would have had need for some refubishement, but if we wanted a super-modern hotel we could have gotten a business hotel somewhere. We had a great time and would recommend the hotel to any couple looking for a great weekend in a romantic hotel in a great city

Wish there had been a small restaurant at the hotel, or that we could have ordered up just a cup of coffee and a snack, not a whole meal. Major frustration was asking for directions to Versailles on Monday morning and the clerk providing the detailed instructions without mentioning that Versailles is always closed on Mondays!

This was the first time that I have stayed at this hotel and have been to Paris a half a dozen times. Good (not great) location becuase it's a short walk to everything. The rooms are bigger than your typical Parisian hotel and have a big cozy bathroom. Love the courtyard facing rooms. Request one.

Very nice and cosy hotel. Professional and friendly stuff. Nice restaurants, bars etc. in walking distance. Very reasonable price. Good for business and holidays. Next time in Paris, I will definately book this hotel again.

A nice hotel in a central location. Very clean rooms, chamber services daily are excellent. Down side for me was the single key for each room which has to be left at reception when leaving the building. Not something I was happy about, especially since the key deposit box was on the reception desk and over 3 days the front door was opened with no evidence of anyone behind the reception desk! Room are a little dated, compared to the simplicity and functionality of chains like Hotel Ibis and sound proofing from corridor is non existent! Make sure you get a room with a bathroom without a window... we were able to see into other peoples bathrooms and little privacy other than frosted glass views when they turned the lights on! Breakfast is not worth the money. A nice hotel, but aspiration to be a 4 star rather than the actual 3 star is should be. I stay in Paris 3-4 time each year and am always looking out for a "new" hotel, but I won't stay here again for the minor reasons given. For the location, value and functionality offered the IBIS HOTEL chain is of better value.

It was a small and cosy hotel in classic decor. We spent a pleasant stay in Paris. One thing I advise them is to furnish little towels in the room for washing our body while taking shower.

Excellent location, good size room, poor business offering, free wifi access would be welcome, breakfast way too expensive given the location.

I booked into the hotel because it had wireless access and I needed to do some work in the afternoon. The desk in the room was NOT set up for working. Breakfast very expensive so I had mine at a local bar for less than €5.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Beaumarchais, the room was beautiful and incredibly light with large windows overlooking the courtyard. The room was clean and fantastically comfortable and the location within 3 minutes walking distance of the Metro station was faultless. We cant wait to return.

Nice hotel, very clean, romantic bedroom but really too small; new and clean bathroom. The location is very close to places des vosges and less than 2 blocks to the metro (secondary lines). I did not have breakfast, but I had a look at and it seemed good (a bit expensive).

The first room they took me to was directly under pounding, drilling, endless construction. No one was surprised that I asked for another room within minutes; the staff even told me that it was a good idea since the construction started at 7 AM. It was an odd introduction. I just had to wonder if they thought I wouldn't notice. Then the second room kept losing its electricity for the first few hours and the bellman kept asking accusatorily if I was plugging anything in and checking around the room as if I had lied. But the second and third days went without incident except that the walls are really thin so I was privy to the couple next door's arguments and early morning departure. Still, as Parisian hotels go, this one's a pretty good deal.

Lovely hotel, excellently located, very satisfied. The staff are friendly and helpful. Room looked out on an interior courtyard. It is very quiet and the Marias is a nice neighborhood with many good restaurants andd walks. Near Beauborg, Picasso Museum, galleries.

The hotel and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a great stay. Only issue was that the fire alarm went off at 10PM one night and staff didn't seem to know what was going on or what guests should do. As it turned out, it was a false alarm.

Whilst this hotel may be of an acceptable standard, compared to other hotels I have stayed at, with the same 4 star classification, it was not acceptable. To start with on walking in we did not find it a warmly, inviting atmosphere. We arrived at 10pm after hectic travel only to find that the room appointed to us had to electricity so we had further delays whilst a new room was sorted. The double room whilst clean, was small and the bed cramped. The bathroom, again was small. To the extent when you sat on the toilet you are facing the bath screen inches from your face. The only photo on the website depicts a spacious bathroom with a sunken bath - definately was not this bathroom! Air conditioning appeared not to work. Even when we approached staff about the warmth nothing was done. It was very warm even with the window open all the time. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room which i would consider standard. When we requested tea and coffee we were charged room service. £8.42 for a pot of tea is robbery. No ironing facilities available to the rooms. We had to use the hotel laundry service to get anything ironed. £10.50 for a shirt and trousers to be ironed, probably average for a laundry service but not when no other facilities are available. I have never stayed in a 4/5 star hotel where tea/coffee making and irons were not provided. If you decide to have breakfast it will cost you £15 each. Which their attempt at an English cooked breakfast was very poor. Congealed and luke warm from being stood too long. A previous guest had reported that there was never anyone in the bar. The reason - the bar is attached to the dining room. No atmosphere. And no dedicated bar person - the bar is served by the front desk staff. I think the bar is there only for the purpose of adding it to the list facilities and is discouraged by the extortionate pricing. As an example, one bacardi and coke will cost just over £10. The photo of the hotel

A lovely wee hotel, room was a bit small but adequate, thermostatic shower a bit temperamental. Marais district very handy for all attractions and for those with pets there is a pet shop round the corner.

I would definitely stay there again. It was lower at its price point than other hotels in the nighboring areas, but this was a great loaction, everything was lovely, and I thought it was a real value. Private covered parking was available for the same fee as public lots, and we were only changed for the breakfast we attended. A really nice place, small, cosy, helpful, staff spoke English too.

Very good service from the staff either I wanted to iron my shirt late at night or reserving taxis. They even knock on the door every afternon to ask if everything is ok. The situation is as we knew excellent. Two thing that we disliked, was the far to expensive minibar and that the breakfast was'nt included in the price. And if we should eat there, it would cost us 19 euro each !

Our family of four stayed at the Villa Beaumarchais, Paris for four nights in July 2006. We booked on the net and were unable to request adjoining rooms, so each adult stayed in a room with each child (one room with twin beds, the other a king). They were able to offer us adjoining rooms after the first night, however it would be an additional $300+ euros per night (we passed). In the future I would definately request this at the time of booking. The villa was comfortable, quiet (even for the room near the elevator), and close to the metro (near Bastille). The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere as the hotel's was $$$ (which is typical of all European hotels). We were getting tired of ham and cheese sandwiches (eating with kids in Paris can be a challenge) and were pleased to find a good pizza place just around the corner. Overall, a good value for the price.

A beautiful and well located Hotel de Charme. On the down side: 1) very small rooms 2) exceedingly high prices 3) the last night a fire alarm started, and despite several attempts we were not able to get in touch with the reception. We went down and the employee told us it was a false alarm and that he had not answered because he was busy welcoming new people!! No comment.

The relationship between the cost of breakfast or even coffee and the quality of the hotel did not match. Breakfast at 26 euros a person, or roughly $70, for 2 people was very very costly and forced us out to seek coffee in the morning. The hallway was shabby and needed refurbishing - this does not match with the astronomical price of breakfast.
