Hotel Victoria Palace - Paris

I'm used to hotels not living up to expectations, unusually, this hotel was better than expected, better in every way than other hotels I've stayed at in Paris - our room was quiet and spacious (and corresponded to the pictures on the website), the staff were helpful and friendly. I was worried that the location might be further out than I would prefer, but in fact, it is a straightforward Metro journey from Gare du Nord (useful for Eurostar travellers), and better placed for general access than I was expecting, and the location in a quiet street is good. The breakfast room needs redecorating to stop it looking dated, that's the most critical thing I have to say about this hotel!

I had a very pleasant stay..the room was wonderful-spacious, quiet, well-appointed. This was an excellent hotel with very accommodating staff who provided very helpful recommendations for restaurants. The location is not bad, though I usually prefer to stay closer to Bvd St. Germaine.

Location was good, right in the centre but out from the hustle and bustle. Staff are helpful. Hotel rooms were large by European standards. Very neat and tidy. price of E250/night may be a bit on the higher side. No restaurant, but room service is availabel and there are so many resaurants around the place. there is also a small grocery/provisions store on the same street, comes handy when you have a kid to by milk or so!

I thought the pictures on the internet didn't do the place justice. It was a wonderful stay, in a very lovely, clean, room. The staff was very helpful, accomodating, and extremely competent. I would definately stay here again. The food from the kitchen was suprisingly good!
