I am not really sure how to rate this. Upon checking into this hotel at 4-5pm, the receptionist informed me that due to the fact that the room we were offered has not finished painting, we have been relocated to their sister hotel. Initially we were offered a free Taxi service, subsequently they cannot find a Taxi, so we have to walk there. They did comment they did upgrade us in their sister hotel and it is the same 4 stars rating. However when I get to the sister hotel, I honestly do not know whether this is an upgraded room or not. When we settled the bill there was a $3 Tax added to the bill which I am not sure why. As I understand the rate quoted in Venere it is an all inclusive rate. so not sure about their honesty in the sister hotel also. Whether I would recommend this hotel, I am not sure as I really do not like to run the risk of being relocated to a different hotel. In checking another website regarding this hotel, it seems the frequency of swapping clients from 1 hotel to another is a norm for them. I will stay away if you would not like surprises!!!!!

Lovely, lovely hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. This is not a typical "tourist" hotel. You feel as if you are a resident of the neighborhood. Local dining was a wonderful experience in every way and you were only a minute walk from your hotel. I will be returning to this charming and friendly hotel soon.
