I stayed 5 nights in Feb 09, in a room at first floor overlooking the garden. The room was nice, clean, big, with a spotless bathroom and very quiet, but we had the chance of having no neighbor most of the time. Otherwise acoustic insulation is poor. Also heating is electric and needed 24h to reach a comfortable temperature (was snowing outside). Breakfast was acceptable but could be improved. Moreover it is served in the reception area (no other public area, apart from the garden). And actually the reception service is more of a residence than of a hotel (closes at 6.30pm). These are however details: my stay was quite pleasant and the quality vs price is excellent. In conclusion I recommend the Vert Galant.

We can highly recomend this hotel to other travelers. It is not located in "the hot spot" but public transport is close (les Gobelins, Place d'Italie, Corvisart) and takes you fast to all the famous places. Nice restaurants and cafés in the area. The hotel offers breakfast but it is not included in the price.

Excellent location, 5 mins walk to metro and supermarket and walking distance of Place d'Italie with lots of cafes and restaurants. Quiet street opposite park. Staff very welcoming.

Typical for what you will find in Paris--so not too big. Adequate for just sleeping, who needs more? Most important, the rooms were clean. Not an exciting area - there really isn't anything to do near the hotel. There is a small park across the street that the school students hung out in. Metro station was a bit further than I would normally want, but still walkable.

Very nice hotel, very nice place, great little garden. Windows at ground floor are not closing well. Les fenetres du rez de chaussée ne se ferment pas bien.

This is a nice quiet hotel which is ideal for a stopover, as it's convenient for the Gare de Lyon. It's a little further from the tourist areas than ones in the centre and so is good if you are on a work trip, but tourists might need to be aware of the need to use the metro to get to the main tourist attractions. The area is quiet and residential and seems safe to walk about in. The hotel is very good value for money in comparison to others in central Paris.

An excellent place to spend a few days in Paris. Very quiet and peaceful, but definitely close to the places-to-be. The welcoming is warm and efficient. Un très bon hôtel où passer quelques jours paisibles à Paris. A la fois calme et proche des moyens de transport et des endroits à voir. L'accueil est chaleureux et efficace.
