The hotel is good, the rooms are big. We reserved for double bed and received extra two beds. The place is quiet and the sourroundings good with restaurants in the corner and supermarkets and internet cafe at 1 minute. Mc Donalds arounf the corner. The staff is helpful and correct. The breakfast is not included, and it is 10 euros (we did not try it). Metro station Cadet is 1 minute.

It is the second time I stay at Touring Hotel. The rooms are very good and big for Paris. There is a tub in the bathroom which is very good. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because for 10 euro you can cross the street and choose one bakery. We really love this hotel, very close to metro station and main busses lines. Also very convenient location if you are planning to use Gare du Nord for any train trip. I will stay at this hotel again next time we go to Paris.

A nice place to stay; clean; friendly staff; a bit small to my taste but who comes to Paris to stay in a hotel room; it was perfect for sleep and everything else related; amenities working well; good breakfast choices; and, of course, you can't beat the location - literary on the steps of Opera Garnier, shops and boulevards; overall it was an enjoyable stay

The hotel is good walue for money! ituated very close to metro(about 1-2min by walk). there is a big supermarket next to the hotel where you may find water, yogurt or whatever you want... Whould reccomend the venue for 2-3 days in paris or even more as it is situated really comfortable. also by 20 min of walking you can reach Lafayette Gallery, Opera etc. Meanwhile it is very convinient to take a Roissy bus next to Opera to go to airport just with 9 euro or smth, don't need to take a taxi which is about 80 - 100 euro

Comodo, eccellente pulizia, personale molto disponibile. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.Camere molto silenziose, un pò piccole. Zona molto tranquilla, molti ristoranti nei pressi.Prima colazione abbondante.Da consigliare senz'altro. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now, and each time I have had no complaints. I managed to get a 59 euro per night room, and couldn't possibly complain about the value for money. In fact it was an absolute bargain. The hotel is right near a wonderful bakery, there are some great little eateries nearby. Montmartre is a short walk away, the right bank isn't too far either, as are the main department stores. I will definitely stay again next time I'm in Paris.

Very nice trip to Pairs, except our stay in this hotel. We will never visit this hotel again. We were not satisfied with the services and facilities in the hotel. The manager's words and deeds made us angry and shocked. 1. There are no air conditioners in this hotel. We visited Paris in the middle of July, then you can image how suffered we had in this hotel. 2. Breakfast was very poor. 3. Doors and windows of f the rooms looked shabby. We wondered if the owner of the hotel would like to create an time-honored atmosphere. 4. For the 9 years old child, they charged us 51 Euro in extra! Yet In other hotels, no matter in Paris or Rome, maximum 30 euro. 5. When we tried to complain about the extra charge of the kid and the service, the manager’s rudeness and impatience made us shocked and angry. He could not face up to the fact of the bad service they offered to the customers, but came out with “it was not because of our service but because of your personality”! We were so shocked with such words from the hotel’s manager. Lessons from the stay in this hotel: 1. Read the travelers’ comments and ratings on this website. Most of them were very creditable and hearty. If you have other choices, please not try hotels with some individual travelers ratings below 5, even though the overall rating is above 7 ( e.g. Hotel Touring). 2. In many circumstances, the international chain hotels are good choice. The policies there are reasonable and the services are more professional.

For the price it is a good hotel. But the hotel can just match its 3 stars. At first we got an other room as the one we booked, but that was quick corrected. The breakfast is a buffet, but is a little poor. The television has only 5 channels. The elevator is just big enough for 2 persons and a little suitcase. There are good points as well. We had a hugh bathroom (but there was no heating in it). The hotel is at walking distance from Gare du Nord. Small but clean room. Every day clean towels. This was our first time in Hotel Touring. For us it is a good, but average hotel. We have had worse hotels in Paris and we have had better.

Great location...but a little worn. Our bedspreads had stains on them, and the bathroom cieling was made of slats. Makes one feel like privacy is an issue. But for the price, I guess you'd expect not a luxury estabishment. Great distance from the Metro. The pizza restaurant on the corner has the worst service I have ever experienced. Don't eat there...but the hotel clerk can recommend a great place to eat.

the location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the subway station... the hotel was not splendid but I have not met anything negative. Room was large enough and clean. Perhaps the only problem is the noises travelling through walls. at the end, I think this is a good choice for a short term visitor.

Having considered many hotels this one had consistent good reviews and we were not disappointed. It's clean, comfortable beds and fairly spacious rooms by Paris standards. Although near a main road it is quiet as it is up a small side street so not noisy at night, had 2 great nights sleep! It's near the metro with easy access to the centre of Paris even if walking. There is a supermarket nearby and many restaurants. Overall we were very happy with this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it, its good value. Staff were generally friendly and very helpful.

Having aproblem with billing. Hotel presented 2 final bills on our departure which we paid. Upon returning to the US, discovered that our credit card was billed additional 60 Euro for something we cant seem to figure out. Asked the hotel to show us a copy of an invoice or credit card slip, but they have none. Claim they under-billed us at the time of our check-out. All seems very fishy. Talking by email with the hotel now but so far no results.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in mid May 2009. We are from Seattle, Washington and went to Paris from London after finishing a cruise through the Baltic Capitals. We knew the Touring Hotel would not be a high quality one, but we were very satisfied with the service and quality of the hotel. It offers a simple and comfortable room for the price paid. The room we had was not that big, but with sufficient space and a very ample and clean bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed was good. The front office people were very helpful and knowledgeable. The location of the hotel was good. We would certainly use and recommend this hotel again when in Paris.

The people working there was friendly, and replied positive to my request to move room from street side to back side. This was also great in the way that we moved from a small room to a huge familyroom at the back side.

I would rate this hotel as excellent for the price we pay that too in a very convenient location. I stayed in this place for 2 nights and i received a warm welcome by the reception. They were very helpful in guiding us to places around. We had actually booked open bus tour from London itself. There was a open bus tour stop close to this hotel(10min walk or 2 metro stations away). There are many restaurants around this place and also some shops. Mc D is just couple of minutes walk from this place so we did not have any issue. I will definitely think of staying here if I were to go to Paris again. Thanks Ash

Lovely room except for the lack of decent lighting and a mysterious humming noise from 7.15am to 8.30am every morning. Spacious lift (by Paris standards) in the main hotel but a very small one in the annexe. Obviously recently renovated with nice quality furnishings. Overall a pleasant hotel which I would use again if my normal one is full.

No frills, great location for walking, short taxi or metro to Galeries Lafayette, Seine or Montmartre. Room was for 4 with a double and two singles at the rear of the hotel which is on a quiet street. Very quiet. Staff were friendly - they had some English but we were doing our best to try our French so everyone was OK. We really were just using the bedroom and didnt use any other facility. Having filled in the early arrival and non smoking room request everyting was ready at 11.30 am. Ate breakfast/ lunch and dinner at 3 different nearby establishments all really nice normal French places. (Pizza restaraunt on corner of street was French with Italian flavour).

Venere website showed exactly what the hotel would be like - nothing more, nothing less. I arrived earlier than the allowed check-in time, and I was still able to get a room right away. In fact, I had booked a single room and was given a double room at the same price as a single was not yet available. I did not try the breakfast, but there are numerous bakeries surrounding the hotel.

The hotel is very well located. Room was small but spotless clean. Remodelled bathroom. I would stay there again. Buffet breakfast is good at a reasonable price (€ 10 per person) that compared with what you get nearby outside the hotel is very good. They have no bellboy service so you have to drag your bags by yourself to your room. As we were given a room on the back of the hotel and there were a couple of staircases it was not easy and the front desk personnel were not helpful at all. I would say this is the only negative point; otherwise everything was fine and quality vs price is really excellent. A budget hotel well located and CLEAN above all...

3rd stay at this hotel in a year. Service was a little below what I have received in the past but certainly not unacceptable. The room was the smallest I had been allocated, but was on the top floor and was clean, warm and relatively quiet. The only complaint would be the waft of cigarette smoke that seemed to come from vents in the room/toilet every morning. Hotel location is brilliant. Recommended Hotel, but bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Internal wall sound absorption is not great.

I´ve spent three nights in hotel Touring, and in comparison with other hotels I´ve been in Paris, this one is undoubtly the best. Very nice furnished and spacious rooms, large bathroom with a bathtube, 2 minutes from metro station, supermarket just around the corner aand the hotel staff was very helpful. If you go to Paris for a typical tourist visit, I really recommend you Touring, it´s 15 minutes by a walk from Montmartre and the beautiful Opera area, and you can go anywhere by metro, which is very close. The hotel was comfortable and in a good location. Close to Galleries Lafayette. We were able to check in late at night due to the 24 hour reception. On arrival however, there was a discrepancy between the internet price and the price charged by the hotel. We (2 couples aged around 50, one couple around 22) had booked for 3 double rooms for an extended weekend stay in the Paris Touring Hotel. Although a required correction of the reservation turned out a bit complicated (we had to cancel entirely and to book from scratch - with the consequence that the required double rooms were gone), the Hotel stuff managed the situation well eventually so that everything was as expected in the end. Two of the rooms were a little bit tiny - what we had expected from various comments on the venere.com site- but the third room was of quite comfortable size anyway. For the phantastic location (1 Metro station away from Gare de l'Est, 15 minutes walk away from Sacre Coeur, another 10 minutes walk from the Opera and the Grand Boulevards) the price was o.k. for a *** hotel. Only the additional 10 EUR for breakfast appeared a little bit high for the standard choice offered. All in all we can well recommend this hotel and will apply for it at our next trip to Paris for sure again.

Would we stay here again? - Yes. Pleasant hotel, generally helpful staff, and good value though room quite small. Reasonably good breakfast choice (though, like most French hotels, is NOT included in price). Location is quite easy to find and convenient - walking distance about 1 mile (1.5 Km) to Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, Montmartre & Sacre Coeur. Metro station 2-3 mins walk. The local vicinity, if not picturesque, seems quite good and generally quiet though we had a room at the front and any street noise is very noticeable with the windows open - especially from the early morning laundry van. Not a huge choice of places to eat nearby, but we enjoyed the small Italian restaurant just round the corner in Rue Lamartine.

It was impossible to sleep because the smell in the room was very strong and penetrating. Nothing more arrive to the room, inmediately we notice the smell and we told it to reception. They only threw some ambient perfume inside the room, but when you was only 5 minutes in the room the eyes and throat started to sting (the strong smell went on). We told it to reception, for changing the room and they did nothing. If we could to have changed the hotel, we´ll make it. But when someone arrives a one city for enyoing you only expect all you find it´s well, and when happens circumstances like ours and the hotel do nothing, you became to feel helpless. Finally, as we needed to sleep in somewhere place in Paris, we had to go on in the hotel, and we tryed to sleep with the windows open 100%. Even in such situation, there was some smell, but the street noise was unbearable. We can´t to sleep and rest correctly during the 3 nights we was in the hotel.

Hotel Touring was very welcoming and very nice. Unfortunatly it is a little out of the way of most of Paris' sights. However you are literally around the corner from the Cadet Metro station and you can easily catch a train anywhere you need to go for about 1 euro. There is a charge for breakfast so my friend and I walked around the corner to a lovely bakery every morning and got pastries for breakfast for alot less. The room is on the small side, but that is typical for Europe and for the price it was more than adaquite. The bathroom was quite large for Europe as well. The room is quite, we had the window open at night and we were never disturbed. The neighborhood is much more a typical Parisian neighborhood, it is not touristy. So therefore there are not alot of restraunts to choose from, we went to another part of the city every night for dinner. But since it is not touristy you have things like a grocery store, which are great if you are trying to save some money on food or want to pack a picnic to take up to the Montemarte district. Overall it was clean, the staff were VERY helpful when we had questions, and I would stay here again.

The Hotel Touring is extremely well located and very well priced. Rooms are clean and hotel is in a fairly quiet location. A loading zone outside the hotel allows for luggage off-loading.

We were awaken early every morning to sawing, drilling, workmen painting or doing some kind of construction project in the inner courtyard immediately outside of our window, (Room 58) We were not offered another room. Most of the staff were not friendly. The water/soda machine was not working. I would not recommend this hotel. The bathrooms were very nice and seemed recently remodeled.

It was the first time when we stayed at Touring. It was in the end of april the weather was rather warm, windy and rainy. But the staff was so kind to give us the umbrella. They help us all the time we need. The room is not big but cosy and clean.

We staid in a three-bed room. If the breakfast (it was very good) were included in the price it would be a value for money. Actually the hotel is very well located but I can imagine, it can be stuffy and hot in the room in summer because there is no air-conditioner.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, location of the hotel is good. Room was clean and nice, not so small I expected. Map of location of hotel could have been little better in venere.com. I can defenetly recommend this hotel.

Hotel bastante recomendable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when checking in, giving us directions and advice on things to see and places to eat. All staff were proficient in English, which was more than a bonus. They recommended a lovely French restaurant only 2 min walk which was fantastic. Staff were very helpful with opening wine and providing glasses when we brough a bottle back to our room also. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Paris.

No clock available. Promised wake-up-call done on saturday but not on sunday. Lot of noise for about 15 minutes from carbage collection at 6.00am on all days. Noisy policemen (very loud walkie-talkies) on the street on sunday, garding the opposite buidling, as from 6.30am

It's not 5 stars, but looks rather luxurious. We had room on the top floor, windows on a street, therefore it was kinda noisy in the morning with those cleaning/garbage machines. Yet close to Opera, Galerea Lafayette, Clichy Blvrd, Monmartr. Breakfast, though is extra 10 Euro, is very good and rich, except of coffee - that could be way better... :-)

The hotel is in a nice area, well serverd, full of shop and restaurants, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, but no fridge in the room and costly wireless connection. I had to wait a bit too long (after 2 pm) to get the room.

A clean efficient hotel centrally located and not far from the Gare de Nord. Family room was a good size and the location was central for exploring Paris.

The hotel is located in an area close to the metro, shops, bars, stores and many places to eat. The hotel is a good value for the money.

Location was fantastic, about 100m from Cadet metro. Staff were efficient, pleasant and helpful but not engaging or helpful beyond hotel facilities (however this is fairly consistent with other experiences in hotels in Paris). The rooms were clean and regularly cleaned. The only criticism I have was the sound dampening, of which there was very little. You could hear people in rooms adjacent, above and in the corridors quite clearly. This may have been made more noticeable by the lack of traffic noise (which is a plus) but is something to consider if you are a light sleeper. I did not have the hotel breakfast, so I cannot comment. The inhouse internet (wireless - you need your own computer) is a fantastic facility, but was expensive (4 euro / hr ). Overall, I would recommend this hotel with due consideration of my comments.
