At Hotel Touring we had two twin rooms, one was spacious with a bath and shower, the other was cramped with a tiny shower I think it was room 28, by the stairs on the first floor, and the stairwell took up room-space. However, the rooms were clean, the staff were friendly. There was no coffee making facility in either room, which we knew in advance so we brought a kettle with us. This hotel is brilliantly located for Gare du Nord (Eurostar) and sightseeing around Paris using the metro. The area has some nice quaint shopping arcades, French bars and restaurants and a local starbucks and McDonalds if you are feeling homesick! Also a local Supermarket open til midnight. The metro is even closer than a 5 minute walk - more of a one minute walk. All in all very pleased with our choice.

This is the first time I have stayed at Hotel Touring and I would certainly return there on my next visit to Paris. Only complaint is the very strong smell of paint in the bedroom which persisted all during my stay even with the window open even though the weather was very cold! Bathroom very small but functional with a splendid large shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast (paid apart at 10euro) was not very varied or interesting.

The staff is not polite, 85 €/night for the double is a good price, but the room was very small, and the very bad breakfast was 10 €. The room and the hotel was quite dusty. The hotel is close to the metro but in baris you can find better...

This was our visit to paris, and we stayed at the Touring hotel. The staff was very helpfull, I have never seen such a friendly and nice staff. they offered to help us with everything even things we would'nt think to ask for. the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very satisfying. We will definately stay at this hotel on our next visit to paris. Highly recommended.

It is a medium-good hotel in the centre of the city. The staff competence is good. The hotel meets my standard. I think that it is appropriate for a working stay or for a short holiday in Paris.

The photos of the public area are a little bit outdated or at least a little bit too nice. However, the public areas are quite ok and better than in other Paris hotels of the same price level. The staff could work a little bit on his friendlyness. They have typical Paris hotel staff attitudes. There is a locked luggage room but nowbody checks whether you are the owner of the pieces when you take the luggage out. WLAN in public area is available against payment. This should be a free service nowadays. There were apparently construction and / or renovation works going on which might cause some noise. (I did not hear anything during the hours of my stay in the hotel.) The room itself to the backyard was very quiet at night.

Second time I chose this hotel for the very competitive price and clean room you get. The only thing they could improve is the breakfast buffet - offer some fresh fruit or fruit salad, dark bread or toast and musli cereal. I will go back again but maybe not take the breakfast there.

In the middle of our stay, Hotel Staff asked us for changing our room. They said the reason was that they offer us a superior room, and suddenly they need the rooms for other customer. I argued, that they should advice us on arrival, and not two days later. Besides the public areas of the hotel were old, and neglected.

I have visited Paris 7 times and I have used this hotel every time because it provides me with exactly what I want from a hotel in the city. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and it is only 2 minutes walk from metro stop cadet. The touring is perfect for people who do not wish to spend their holiday stuck in a hotel room, but would prefer to see the beautfiul city. The only downside I found is that the hotel has started to charge for what was once an inclusive breakfast. That being said, the buffet breakfast is very fulfilling. I will be staying here again on my next trip to Paris.

If you are looking for a good inexpensive hotel in the 9th Hotel Touring is a good choice. Close to the Cadet (Line 7) Metro stop and Rue Cadet, a charming pedestrian street that is one of my favorites. Hotel was well kept and the staff was very friendly. They will gladly store your baggage upon arrival or check-out, and with the added perk of a guest bathroom just off of the lobby.

I was presently surprised with Hotel Touring. Rooms are spacious, very clean and its excellent value for money. The locality is brilliant. Opera is a wonderul location in relation to all tourist sites in Paris. Subway is very near to the hotel. Breakfasts at Touring are spectacular. I'll definitely recommend it to all. Only the elevator is a bit small for large people or people with lots of luggage like me.

Few issues: 1) wi-fi doesn't work in the rooms. only in a definite position in the public area. It was however very slow. in the public area there is a pc. also very slow. I had to find, very close to the hotel, an internet point. 2) I could not pay with credit card cause some mysterious technical problem. (Maybe to not release valid receipt?) Bank suggested to get cache (closest one) didn't accepted italian credit card. So I had to waste one hour and half for their "technical" issue. 3) differently the room, the bathroom is large.

Hotel room does not have CHAIN LOCK nor DO NOT DISTURB SIGN so not very convenient for guests to keep their privacy. Hotel cleaning staff came in our room not long after we checked in without knocking the door, they didn't know we checked in already so we were shocked when a stranger suddenly appeared in our room. I think the hotel should communicate better among their staff. Thanks.

The Hotel Touring is situated a five minute walk away from the Cadet Metro Station. Staff on the front desk spoke English well and were very obliging and efficient. Breakfasts are traditional French as you would expect and cereals are also available. There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby and we had good meals at several of them during our stay of six nights at the Hotel. On several nights there was significant street noise.

The staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a well-working lift even if it isn't too big. We found everything very clean. But: ... The rooms would benefit from having fridges (which they haven't). Also, the television volume is limited to a much too low level, which is a bit inconvenient for someone with hearing problems. The breakfast offered "contains no meat", as we were told. So, 10 euros for some horse-fodder (cereal) seemed excessive, but there are plenty of places in the vicinity to eat at. We found it very helpful that they allowed us to leave our luggage in their special store room while we could make use of all our time in Paris. We didn't think that the twin room was cheap at 95 euros a night, but hotels tend to be expensive in the centre of Paris, and we could walk to practically everything, so we saved on travel costs.

The twin room my daughter and I had was perfectly ok for our one night stay. Bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was fine for 10Euros. The only problem with the room (28) is that it is located behind the lift shaft so every time the door is closed it makes quite a noise, ok for one night but if you stayed for several nights might be a problem!! The view from the windows is of a small courtyard with a big wall which has been decorated with an aerial picture of Paris, not great but better than a plain wall!! Hotel location is ideal to visit Paris, not far from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est.

Well, even the personal was very friendly, especially the women, the quality of the hotel is never worth 3 stars, it might be 2 or 1. It is old, but in a not comfortable way. And, the worst thing was the bath. There was mildew at the bathtub and the shower wasn´t working!

The hotel location is great! The room was very clean and perfect for a single traveler. However, my room was on the first floor and facing the street. Every morning at 5 am, garbage trucks would come and it was really, really loud. Plus they were doing some construction in the lobby right underneath me so that didn't help either. The walls are really thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. That being said, I would still recommend the hotel, maybe just not a room on the first floor. I didn't have breakfast there as there are many restaurants and cafes around to eat well for cheap. I would recommend the Cafe Le Baron for dinner, really good!!

I was not impressed by the hotel. The bed was horrible, it was sloping towards the middle and had some kind of plastic mattress cover that was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Since the bed was quite narrow (140 cm) and springy we woke each other up all the time. The cleanliness was so-so, they did not give us clean glasses during our 4 nights and the carpet was stained. The location of the hotell was great, really quiet and close to many restaurants and the metro. We would rather have stayed at Ibis next door, though...

Everything in this hotel is really nice. and the surrounding is really great. book this hotel without hesitating. BUT THERE is one thing is really really bad and made me hates my self which is ((THE NOISE in the morning)), you can hear everything around the room or happening in the street. If you are from the type of people who likes enjoying the nightlife and go to bed too late, you will suffer from the noise in the morning. BUT if you gonna wake up at 7am, you won't have any problem. And Also the Wi-fi was not free :( And the breakfast was not included But in general, I will comeback to this hotel without hesitating :)

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Touring - the hotel was a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord which was very convenient on arrival! The hotel's within walking distance of Sacre Cour, L'Opera, the Louvre and the Champs Elysee so the location was fantastic. It is also close very to the Cadet Metro, which would have been convenient had we wanted to go further afield. The bedroom was a reasonable size but had a permanent additional single bed in it, which reduced the available space considerably (we may have been given a family room). Aside from this, the room was well equipped, with a TV (which showed 3 English-speaking channels), a hair dryer and a clean, large bathroom (no tea or coffee making facilities though, which was a bit of a shame). There wasn't much of a view (even though we were on the top (5th) floor) but the windows were large and let a lot of light into the room. All in all, we had a great stay - for 75 Euros a night the hotel is a bargain - and would recommend the Hotel Touring wholeheartedly!

For the price, this hotel was very good value, particularly for Paris. We were a party of 4 women and had the family room as we wanted to all be together. It was not spacious but was extremely clean. The room was at the back and was very quiet - no noise from the street at all. We didn't have breakfast as we prefered to sample the many cafes in the area. Really easy to walk to all the sights. Took about 30-40mins to reach Montmatre in one direction and the Louvre in another. Very good bath and shower but had to take my own travel kettle!

I will use this hotel every time i go to Paris. Excellent hotel room and the bathroom was fabulous. The location to the Cadet Metro is 2 minutes walk and also a 15 minute walk to the Louvre and the Sacre Couer. Stayed in a quadruple room. First time here but not the last. The only slight criticism would be the breakfast. Good service, but requires more food and selection. Overall, a great hotel with a great shower and bathroom.

I chose this hotel based on guest rating and location, and it was a great choice. The hotel is close to 2 or 3 Metro stations and Rue Lafayette, it was easy to get whereever you needed. The hotel is clean, the rooms are an OK size for Paris (notoriously small due to the age of the buildings), however the one biggest let down were the beds: HARD AS ROCK. It was very difficult to sleep, coupled with jet lag (or decalage horaire), it took the edge of my experience with this hotel. GET SOFTER BEDS Hotel Touring!!

It was situated in a quiet zone. if you dont like to walk or even take the metro, well, dont book this hotel. Also the room was tiny and the realntionship between price and quality isnt good but well, its paris, one of the most expensive cities of europe. for being a 3stars hotel, its ok, very near the metro. and about 10min walking from the Sacre Cour and about 3 blocks from the LaFayette Galleries where you have the best firms of clothes.

Clean room, grateful for the lift because the landing on each of the floors was quite small. Tucked away in a quiet alley only a minute walk from Cadet station which is quite convenient Access to wi-fi is annoying because you have to pay, 2 euros for half an hour or 4 euros for an hour. Hotel reception was varied, we had a terrible man with brown hair the first night who was VERY SNOBBY. I had a friend who stayed only for the first night, and he tried to charge a supplementary fee of 20 euros per night for the 5 or 6 nights we were there despite my friend only staying one. However, I talked to someone else who did modify the charge, but then that snobby man came back and tried to charge us an extra 120 euros on top of what we had already paid as a 'supplementary charge'. The woman at the reception, however, was very friendly and accommodating and was able to give us many tips to the questions that we asked. When you check out, you're free to leave your bags in the Prive room for as long as you like, but when we came back we were charged another 80 euros (the snobby man had just been working again) as a supplementary charge. If that man was not working at this hotel, I would definitely come back, but because he is, I would not consider it. At all.

I've been at Touring for the second time in August 27-29, 2010. My first time was in April 2009. Hope next time it will be better.

This has been an excellent experience. This is a family owned hostel and the price is a lot lower that the hotels, yet it was excellent. It is under remodelling of some units, so we were awakened by the construction sounds (but it was late anyhow +- at 9 AM) It is located near a metro station (Cadet) and this was very convenient. They are french but fluent in English and Spanish. I would return to this place if a I ever go back to Paris. There is no iron available. We were three: my husband 55, my daughter 23 and I. We booked one room for 3 persons. It was as pictured in the site, and clean.

The best thing about Hotel Touring is it is close to metro. It is clean and basic. We stayed before and knew this time not to bother with the breakfast which is overpriced and nothing special. Coffee and croissant outside is much nicer. We had 2 rooms for a family of 6 and the price was within our mid range budget. We recommend it if you are looking for a room mainly for sleeping...No aircon, only a fan but it wasn't a problem either time as we could sleep with windows open. They have BBC and CCN. They have a good map.

What a wonderful 3 star hotel. The room was big for Paris - no problem finding space on the floor for our 2 large suitcases which is often a problem. Receptionist was the most informative of all I have ever met as I travel a lot!!! Walkable distance to Gallerie Lafayette if fit - buses so close if not. We stayed in the peak of a heatwave and the hotel didn't have air conditioning...but they had the windows open so that a breeze was coming in before we arrived and supplied a fan. What else would you expect for this excellent price. I would return!!!

Our room was spacious (by Paris standards and considering it was a triple room). The breakfast buffet offered good choice and was frequently replenished. Reception at check-in was less than warm, but that was just one person. All the other staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very good value deal - the receptionist was even impressed with it at check-out and went to confirm with her boss that it was OK (booked online with Venere). We would definitely recommend this hotel to any other visitors to Paris.

Good Location, close to metro and restourant, You can reach La Fatitte area by walk (20 minutes). The streat is not too sunny, but you are in paris that is a fantastic city. I am often in Paris that this is the best tree star Hotel that I was.

We were very happy with our stay - the room was clean and quiet if not very big. Bathroom was clean as well. We were looking for a place to sleep (not to spend many hours of the day) so this was a great place. Would definitely consider going there again - no problems experienced during our 2-day stay. Kids (6 and 8) were happy, too.

I travelled for business and i was alone. i stayed two nights. Unfortunatelly i couldn't sleep well because of the noise coming from the street during the night, and i felt a bit afraid of walking alone in the night from the metro stop to the hotel, because of unsufficient lights in the street. I wish to congratulate for the professionality and the kindness of the hotel staff.

Clean, quiet, EXCELLENT location very close to metro Cadet station (line 7). Great value for price in city center Paris, but expect no frills! We were 4 young females in a quad room- needed to call for towels second day, but no complaints (lots of hot water, big bathroom, comfortable beds!).

I have stayed in this hotel several times and it is excellent value for money. WIFI sometimes does not work well though, which is a pity as the rest is really good.

Good rate between price/quality and cheaper than if booked direct at the hotel. The area is quiet but central what allow TO reach a lot of places walking or by cycling.

Clean hotel. Large good bath. 3 minutes to metro station of Cadet. If you fly Rayan you have to consider 20 minutes to reach the arrival place of the bus ( Porte Maillot). Very good compromise price and quality.

This hotel has the charm of a 100 year old building with the cleanliness and convenience of a recent renovation. Nearby metro stops, restaurants, and shopping make it a very lively and convenient location. Reception was welcoming and helpful.

We were extremeley happy at the Hotel Touring. The hotel was central and reasonably priced and the staff were extremely helpful. We wanted a small, clean and friendly hotel serving a kosher breakfast, not far from the metro, and that is exactly what we got. I would definitely go there again. Although the weather was very cold outside, our room was always very warm and cosy. My only reservation would be to go there in the hot summer months as I am not sure whether the hotel has air-conditioning. This should be checked.

Good accommodation to visit the town. The room was clean and enough comfortable, even if a little small. Clean and spacious bathroom. The hotel is a typical little touring one, with simple furniture. The location is very good:metro station and bus stops at 50 meters, Lafayette, Opera and Montmartre at a little walk.In rue Cadet I suggest italian coffee at the Brasserie "Le Royal"(1 euro) and French croissants at the boulangerie. The hotel personnel is professional but quite cool.

We found the hotel to be in a very good location on a quiet street but not far from Sacre Coeur. The room was very good for the money but the staff were not particularly friendly. There was not a problem but they did not try and chat at all. Also we were surprised that there wasn't a tray with tea and coffee etc in the room. The breakfast was definitely, for us, not worth the 10 Euros so for the second morning we found a lovely little cafe about 2 minutes walk away and had a very good coffee and croissant for a fraction of the price. We would definitely recommend the hotel though and would stay there again. But just make sure that you book it on the Internet. We saved nearly 40 Euros a night doing it that way.
