This is the second time we have used this hotel. The Metro station is at the front door buses and trams over the road and the tourist spots only a short Metro trip away.Laundromat just around the corner, supermarket a few blocks away and a great crepe and and food stand at the front door. There are a number of good eating places in the area. The room was small but clean and the staff are efficient and friendly.Breakfast cost extra and was adequate.

First time in Paris as an adult. Metro stairs emerge right in front of hotel. Excellent crapes outside hotel doors... try the sausage with egg or cheese for breakfast. Our room was quiet as it faced away from the street and on 7th floor. Elevator only goes to 6th floor and is 2' by 3' wide. This was a wonderful hotel experience and I would recommend it to anyone!

Probably the best value for money in Paris. The metro is 30 seconds from the front door so the rest of Paris is conveniently accessed. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We have stayed there three times and would do so again.

This is a very lovely simple small budget hotel at a reasonable price (Eur85/night for double room with private bathroom) The hotel is located just beside one of the exit of the subway. So it is very convenient to all major histroic place and downtown center. The staffs are 24 hours available and very very friendly and helpful. The only thing someboday may complain would be the lift, which is really very small. But I do not mind, since it is my first time to take such a small and old-style lift. It is absoultley a different experience! Very cute hotel! I would definately consider to come back!

very good location, only few steps from the Porte d'Orleans metro station. Many cafes near the hotel. When we check in, the employee in the reception desk talked in very poor english. But, the next day we met 2 other employees who speak english very well.

My only complaint was with the night desk clerk who couldn't work the credit card machine. In the end after many failed attempts, I just offered him the cash, which he gladly accepted but then didn't know how to print out a receipt for me. The hotel itself is lovely and in a great spot especially as we needed to get to Orly for a really early flight. It was only 23 Euro for the cab.

I was offered a room of the next door hotel, the direction of which is same to Terminus Orlean, and which is one rank above, with the same price. It was the second time I used this hotel for my business trip, and I found their service was sincere and the room was very clean.

Te rooms were clean, the bedsheets and everything was changed everyday. The carpet needed to be replaced, as it was pretty old and had not the most pleasant smell in the world... Also, the room was small and the bathroom very very very small, it was difficult even to have a shower in there. The elevator was also very small, I think it could take up to two people and two large bags, maximum. The reception people were really nice, we had no problems with them. You had to leave the card every time you went out, but that didn't bother us. The surroundings were ok - lots of caffés and shops, supermarkets etc., but there were also some homeless persons right next to the hotel. They were not agressive, but when arriving late at night you might feel a little bit uncomfortable. Anyway, we went walking to the city center, from the hotel, and in less than an hour we were arriving at the Jardin du Luxembourg/ Boulevard Saint Michel (in the Quartier latin). Over all, it was a very good, clean budget hotel, so I recommend it for anyone who is on a tight budget in Paris, and doesn't spend that much time in the room.

We stayed in a double room. It was a clean, quiet and comfortable room. Wireless internet access was excellent just ask for password from front desk. Metro, tram and bus stops just at doorstep make access to city centre and other locations very easy.More choice for those who prefer a more savoury breakfast would be good.Overall, excellent value for money. There's no need to stay closer to centre.

The hotel had no rooms with A/C, the room was so small, the bed was small for two people, one person hardly can take a shower in the bathroom, because the shower area was a little square, like 2 feet x 2 feet, if you turn around, you shut off the water, or the shower curtain reach you. Though it was very clean.

My sister and I both Aussies in our late 20s were very happy with the Hotel pronounced Or-leon not Orleans as in New Orleans, US. Made that mistake once he he. We really enjoyed our time in Paris. We had a double room with balcony view (basically a window that can open and a small step out) which was lovely. The room was nicer and bigger than I expected. The bathroom was nice, small but completely useable. The TV was not in english but who watches TV. There was a convenience store and chemist across the road, and a very handy stall out the front selling fantastic crepes. If you haven't experienced a french crepe they are fantastic. The french are mad on nutella but I prefered mine with just sugar. Staff were very helpful, english good but not fantastic. We were silly enough (or should I say completely rushed) to leave jackets and stuff in our wardrobe behind. The hotel staff mailed them to us no worries at all. Fantastic service. Metres to metro. It was so easy to get to from Nord just one train - line 4. Would definitely return again! Thanks for a great holiday!

this was the first time i stayed at hotel terminus orleans. nice location, tho a bit far from the tourist hubs. the metro takes care of that though. helpful staff, nice and safe location -- pertinent since i was a single woman travelling alone, and most imp: clean. however, in summer, the lack of a fan really pinches: it was esp hot in july (i travelled in the first week of july 2009) and had to keep the windows open completely to let in a breeze...a slight prob since my room was on the first floor and opened on to the main street. its a nice street tho, with major metro lines nearby, including to the CDG airport (a few blocks away).

Hotel Terminus was a nice clean hotel 20 steps from the Metro station. We found the location inconvenient from the tourist attractions. It was a 20min metro ride to get to St. Michel from where you could then walk or transfer trains to reach the sites. We would have prefered a more central location. The hotel itself was very clean and a good value for the price of 60 euro a night for a double. We would stay here again although we would prefer a better location. Ensuite bathroom was good, no closed caption on TV so only french if that matters to you.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a bit far from the city's major attractions, but public transport is two steps away. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was on the smaller side, but cleaned every day. The top most floor is not accessible by elevator, but the rest of the 6 floors are. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers. More than worth the price!

We were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms are a bit small (it reminded me of my teenage years when I had to fit my entire life into an 8x10 room) however, it had everything we needed. Large bed, private bathroom, window to the outside world, clean. It was in a great location with an active neighborhood. The crepe stand was EXCELLENT. Handmade crepes prepared right in front of you. There is a grocery store a short walk away with excellent prepared sandwhiches/wraps, salads, and pastries. I recommend the tartlets! The metro is right there and provides very easy access around city and to all the major sites. We were especially pleased with the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, Club Auto Passion. This was a gem of a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel clerk and we liked it so much the first time we went back a second night. All hotel clerks spoke English. It was very cool when we went, therefore the temperature in the room was very comfortable. This hotel exceeded my expectations and brought a sigh of relief.

As a single female visiting Paris for the first time this was an excellent place to stay. Safe and accessible, within a local area which wasn't full of tourists. My room was clean and a good size for a single traveller, however two people in that room may have been a bit cramped. We are a younger couple from Germany and it was our 1st in Paris. We found the Terminus Hotel through Venere. It is a smaller, sweet and friendly hotel in the southern part of Paris. We will come there again the next we visit Paris, for sure.

This is a simple but friendly hotel. The rooms are small but clean with good interior. The building is somewhat poorly soundproofed, so this is not the place for light sleepers. Breakfast is a typical French breakfast, and the staff is very friendly. One benefit of this place is: there is a metro station right in front of it! All this for a reasonable price, so I can recommend this for everyone who just needs a place to sleep and not much more.

We booked this hotel because of the good reviews it had. It was terrible. Carpet was torn up through all the hallways, wires were hanging out of the ceiling, the rooms smelled and were dirty. Our room on the 7th floor was very hot and you couldn't leave the window open because of the street noise. We checked out after the first night and checked into the Quality Inn two doors down which was very nice.

Hôtel à recommender! Excellent value for money, we had a room on the 7th floor, at the back; very quiet and we even had a view on Paris and the Eiffel tower. The elevator only goes to the 6th, so the last floor was by stairs. The elevator is not worth its name (so small only two people with luggage fit) but it is an experience on its own. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, but much cheaper and better in a nearby café. The metro is basically speaking at the doorstep, so upon leaving the hotel your are within 15 minutes in the city centre. Much better then many hotels located closer to the centre. The reception clerk was competent, friendly (spanish) and corteous. The rooms had been completely renovated, brand new bathroom, very nice and clean, and well done. The people complaining earlier in this section must have taken the brunt of the renovation works of which we enjoyed the results.

This hotel is a great bargain!! It's spotlessly clean and nice, helpful staff. Although it's not spacious, it was enough for 2. Also, our room looked better than in photos as the room must've been refurbished. I expected the small bathroom and lift, but I think they were ok. As long as bathroom was clean, it wasn't a problem. And I quite liked the unique tiny lift, as it looked like a lift in films. It was enough for 2 with small suitcases. Metoro, bus, tram station are all in front of the hotel and it was really convenient. This hotel was literally 30 feet away from the tube stop which made it extremely convenient for us to find, especially after having arrived in Paris late at night. The staff was very kind and welcoming and spoke perfect English. The room was a bit on the small side, but was perfectly adequate for us as we only had two bags. You can eat breakfast at the hotel, but it costs 6 euros per person. It consists of rolls, juice, and coffee/tea/chocolate, all very good. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe's in the area and the tube stop just outside the door connects you with the rest of Paris. All in all, this was a decent hotel and was a good place to stay for the money we spent.

I have stayed here repeatedly over the last 6 years. The hotel is yards away from the Metro, surrounded by great eateries. This is Paris without the tourists. All airports are easily accessible. The staff are excellent, friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and make this treasure something you want to come back to. Remember this is Paris but this hotel is a treat. Always clean, caring and located at the end of line 4 Metro, Paris is minutes away. I will be back again and heartily recomend this hotel to any Parisian traveller.

This was my first stay at the hotel and in Paris. Therefore, can only compare to hotels in other cities. For a two-star hotel, it is ok. It is nothing special. If you need a bed to sleep, it is enough. The metro is close by and thus you can start exploring. I had a room to the back and the view was terrible. It was not noisy but you can hear people and TV from other rooms. Especially the elevator (French style) is noisy. The elevator is very narrow (for 3 people max.) and the door is not so easy to open and close. The stairs were covered with an ugly looking plastic protection. The breakfast was good and service very friendly. However, the room was also very small (I guess typical for Paris). The room service did not renew our soap/shower gel and one day even took my shower gel without replacing it. The person at the reception could not replace it.

Refurbishment work in progress: July 2008. Beds were very basic and not very comfortable. No overnight storage space for our bicycles: unless we carried them up two flights of winding stairway to our room.

Great price and rooms were clean. Just what you need for a cheap stay in Paris. Was a bit far from tourist attractions but worth it for the money I saved.

Great hotel for great price. A little further from from central Paris than I thought. I was under the impression it was in Montparnasse but it's actually 10 mins on the metro from montparnasse. It's around 30 minutes on the metro from most of the main attraction, but when you're paying such a low price for a great quality room then 30 mins doesnt feel so long. Metro station is literally a few steps from door of hotel. Overall I was really impressed. For a hotel in Paris this was really good value, really clean, relatively spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here next time in Paris.

I stayed here with my 16 year old son. Our twin bed room was comfortable and clean. The on street location was very noisy, but that's what earplugs are for. The elevator is the smallest I've ever seen (maximum 3 people, but felt claustrophobic with two). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location couldn't be better - right next to the Porte d'Orléans metro station. It was a great part of our adventure, and I'd definitely return.

We had a very pleasant stay. All staff were most helpful. The only downside is that the area is busy with traffic and, as the weather was hot, we needed open windows for ventilation. We also found the breakfast to be quite OK and very convenient.

Very good quality/price. Metro just few steps from the hotel. I had probably the most quiet room of the hotel: 7th.floor, end of the corridor. The room was tiny, but clean and in good condition. Area is not the best part of Paris, but Montparnasse is quite near and Metro takes you fast to the center.

Nice little hotel practically beside the underground station, rooms are a little small, but considering the price, it a real bargain. Would go there again for any Paris sightseeing holiday. PS: You can get fresh crepes every morning at the stand right in front of the hotel.

Yes it's small, and a little old. And yes the elevator is tiny - but that was just another unique experience! The staff are very friendly, the place is clean and so well situated near the Metro. Buy a Metro pass and ride all over the city, it is great. For decent priced meals go down to the Rue St Severin area - tons of 'menu' choices at various prices. The creperie right outside the hotel made great crepes. Our only complaint was that the WiFi was not working one day and that was a big reason we chose this hotel.

Very nice and frendly employees, near to metro station (less than 2 min), small room but clean and with nice view (room no. 702), across the way a boulangerie with delicious cakes...

An excellent week. We were there on May 2008 and we stayed for 7 nights. The Hotel was exactly what it said it would be. A very clean, quiet and welcoming place to stay. It had the basics. A spacious comfortable double bed (which was made daily), a shower with constant hot water, a TV, wardrobe, desk and a chair. A big window helped with the warm temperature of Paris in May. The staff was very helpful. Very welcoming and all of them spoke English (something we found is not the case with everyone else in Paris). They were very eager to help with any problem, not that we had really any problems with the accommodation. On the negative side there was not a fridge, which would have helped. Also there is no air conditioning. That could be a bit of a problem in the summer. It is a lovely hotel, ideally located outside the last line 4 metro station, also there are buses and a tram station exactly outside of the hotel. This was the first time that we stayed in Terminus Orleans and if we choose to travel to Paris again, it will certainly be our choice. Thanks guys!

Excellent Hotel with clean rooms, just a step to the metro station 4 which allows access to paris city in short time. Kind and competent personell and even the breakfast was ok for the price. This hotel should get a third star soon compared to other locations nearby. In room no. 705 you can see the Eiffeltower twinkling if you look in the window right side. Top address for the prices offered !!!!!

great hotel for the price. great service, very friendly and accommodating. kind of on the outskirts of the city, which bothered my girlfriend a bit, but it was fine by me. i'd rather have a nicer hotel at the expense of a 10 minute longer subway ride than vice-versa.

Room was clean and functional. The beds were a little too firm, but acceptable for a short stay. The clerks were helpful and friendly. The hotel is a bit far out, so expect to at least take the Metro to go anywhere for sightseeing (Metro stop is within sight of the entrance, too). The price isn't bad though for Paris.

The room was exactly as we read on the reviews. It was a little crowded, but we were out most of the time so it didn't matter too much. It was conveniently very close to the metro. I loved that it was very clean. We loved the crepe cart that was just outside the hotel (delicious crepes and baggettes!!)...I think we visited him 4 out of the 5 days that we were in town!!
