Excellent location, with several restaurantes opened until midnight near to the hotel. very close to metro and buses station, practically connected with all important points in Paris. amicable and efficient personnel, open to make things easy to foreigners. good continental breakfast. The room was quite small, but enough for a good rest after a long turistic day. No serious negative points to mention.

Small, especially the elevator, but what do you expect next to the gare de Lyon in Paris. I can tolerate extreme compactness of rooms in Paris, but not smelly carpet or sinking bed. Buffet breackfast was good. The receptionist in the morning was kind.

I stayed there for 2 nights It was great the location is great where everything is very close the hotel is located in front of Gare de Lyon. The only bad thing about it is the breakfast it is not generouse but for me it was OK because it was a short stay. The hotel had everything I wanted it was clean, good location, very close to the train station, close from everything, there is A/C, Safe and the staff were friendly, helpful & wellcoming . I will come back again.

The best breakfast I ate during my stay in Europe. Near of the Gare Lyon Metro Station, and only to blocks down to The Senna walking. An excelent option to expend a quick visit to Paris.

Room was basic but considering price ok. Hotel lift was broken for the length of our stay and we had to move from a second floor room to a first floor room as my husband is disabled. However hotel provided someone to carry bags. Both my husband and myself were bitten by something but it was difficult to ascertain whether this was from the bedding or otherwise. Hotel changed bedding when asked without any difficulty. Hotel well situated for sites/shopping etc. We did not have breakfast at all during our stay but were charged for this. When this was pointed out to staff when paying the bill I was advised that breakfast was included in the price although the cost of breakfast was detailed separately on bill. If staying again would ensure room only was booked.

We have visited Paris several times and would highly recommend this hotel because of its central location (Gare de Lyon/Bastille), cleanliness and reasonableness of room price. Our group consisted of two families sharing two quad rooms and also thoroughly appreciated the friendliness of the hotel’s staff. The downstairs brasserie formed part of our nightly routine and we also enjoyed a nice dinner there after a full day. There are also several reasonable brasseries in area. The location across from the Gare de Lyon allows for easy access to the Metro and public transport and there is a tour bus stop around the corner from the hotel (Rue de Lyon) – a stop for one of the tour boats is also a short walk across the Austerlitz Bridge at the Jardin des Plantes. We would most certainly stay there again for our next visit to Paris.

When getting to the hotel it is much easier to use the bus to/ from Roissy CDG. The stop is just outside of the hotel (Gare de Lyon) and is much more convinient and faster than arriving by train (RER). Clean, nice hotel with perfect location and friendly staff.

It is our second stay. Good location for traveling around Paris - especially due to subway line No. 1, which reaches most of the monuments on the north bank. Lyon station and the subway entrance is just across the street. Austerlitz station (with RER line C) is some 400 m away. Variety of restaurants around. Plenty of people around at any time, so it feels safe. Good and not expensive (6 euros per person) breakfast. The breakfast room is rather small. A lady brinks cofee/tea/cocoa and a basket of pastry for each table. On the second day she remembered our hot drink choices of the previous breakfast, which was very nice. Plus you can select hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, butter, jam, cereals, cold milk, fruit pieces. Rooms on the street side are quite noisy, so the rooms on the courtyard side are preferable. The heating was rather weak, so we had to use extra blankets.

Great location for travelling from Charles de Gualle Airport. Warning for North Americans expecting to use their credit card to purchase a train ticket at the RER station from the airport to the Terminus Lyon rail station... you need a European credit card, the machine will not read a North American card. It will take Euros however. As for the hotel, there are lots of places to eat and a food market nearby. It is not too far to walk to Notre Dam Cathedral (about 20 to 25 minutes). The hop-on-hop off bus is around the corner. The elevator is very tiny but not unusual for Europe. The breakfast area was very small but the food offered was generous and the staff very pleasant. English-speaking people were on hand to answer our questions and were very helpful.

My single room was quite comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located for walking and accessing transportation in Paris, and there are some good restaurants in close proximity. Rooms are scrupulously clean and staff are pleasant. (They should, however, stop spraying perfume in rooms after cleaning.) Quietness depends to some extent on the room's location (on my last stay my back room was quiet except one night when noisy neighbors talked loudly well past midnight). I've stayed here more than once and will go back. But this is not a hotel to hang out in, as public areas are minimal. The standard breakfast is good but a slight variation from day to day would ease boredom for those staying more than two or three days. If you don't bring a laptop, you'll find using the hotel's computer is unsatisfactory; it's located in a cramped telephone booth and was having trouble accessing the Internet on my last stay. I would recommend this hotel for single people, couples, or small groups who want a convenient place to sleep while visiting the city, but be aware you will have to look outside the hotel to socialize. That's hardly a problem in Paris.

Having read many negative reports about hotels/rooms in Paris we were delighted to find that this hotel was really good in all respects. Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful. Room was a good size for Paris, very clean and quiet. Breakfast was really good and always served with a smile. The Metro was just across the road and gave easy access to all of Paris and beyond. All in all--top marks to Hotel Terminus Lyon!!!

Very welcoming - English speaking alway a plus. Suggested we store our two large bicycle bags in a room downstairs instead of trying to negotiate to our room, nothing was too much trouble. Black-out curtains and double glazed windows ensured a good nights sleep even though our room was facing the main street, although very loud POMEy woman in room next door had a voice that would have been heard through blast proof doors. Good breakfast again with friendly service. We only stayed one night here as is very handy to Gare de Lyon and the Les Cars bus service to CDG, but would consider staying here again for longer if we ever get back to Paris.

Reasonable value for Paris. Very close to Gare de Lyon if that's important for you. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are smallish, modern clean furniture but no real atmosphere or romance. A good hotel if you need to be near the station, otherwise the only special thing about it is the helpful staff.

For the money (Paris is expensive) this is an excellent hotel, with outstanding staff. We had an inside facing room, so no view but quiet. Directly opposite the railway station so easy to get to and from (walking, train, bus and metro). Loads of restaurants on your doorstep.

The room was a little bit small and maybe the decor a bit outdated. But given that it is a hotel in Paris and right in front of the trainstation, it is very good for the price. The bathroom was newer than the room so it's a bit strange. The service was very good in the morning in the breakfast area. Not the typical parisian attitude !

Stayed at this hotel as a stop over for 2 days on our way to the southe of France. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. We booked this hotel for its proximity to the train station and it was excellent. The staff were helpful and we had no problems with our stay. It is also in a good location as the river is only a 10 minute walk away from where you can get the water buses etc that will take you to all the popular sights of Paris (or very near to). Would certainly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Paris and also the little pizza place next door.

The situation is excellent, across from the main entrance of the Gare de Lyon, only prob is finding the exit from the station! Very goog location (in front of "Gare de Lyon"), metro access just a few steps from the door, next to restaurants and bars, very close to "La Bastille". Very clean room, nice TV, free WI-FI internet, tremendous bathroom (something very uncommon in Paris). Very nice staff, they kept our luggage until 8 PM. Breakfast could be better (specially coffee, and please! have some "baguette" for the guests, it's Paris!). In summary, great value for Paris (130 euro double room with breakfast, a bit high for Europe -where we found many good hotels for 70/80- but OK for Paris). We recommend this hotel.

As we arrived from the train station (Gare de Lyon) which was immediately across the street, as advertised, we were standing in front of the station looking lost, when a woman noticed our family of 4 land asked if she could help. It turns out she was the receptionist from the hotel. Her helpfulness extended to our one-night stay. The room rate including breakfast was exactly as quoted. We used this hotel as a way-station in between our international arrival in Paris, France, and our journey the next day via TGV from the train station and it suited the purpose extremely well.

If you are a TGV user, the location opposite the station is excellent, but it is a basic hotel. Breakfast was sufficient, but the room very small. There were plenty of restaurants right beside hotel. We only used the hotel overnight as we had to come back to Paris to get new passports. We found the hotel to be very satisfactory. We picked it because of its proximity to Gare de Lyon as we had a very early train to catch in the morning. The area was not at all seedy (which can sometimes be the case near railway stations) and the staff were very helpful. The price was not quite as cheap as a few other places we considered and I'm sure there are hotels in Paris with a bit more charm but we decided to pay a bit more and have no need to travel far for the station. In the end we were very pleased with our choice.

We were a family of 2 adlts and 4 children aged 15,12,9,8 spending a couple of nights in paris before heading for the sun in the south of france. We flew with Ryanair into Beauvais and it was v handy to be able to get the metro from port maillot (where the ryanair bus drops you in paris) to Gare de Lyon straight across the road from the hotel. Checkin was quick and efficent and our rooms (2 triples) were spotless. Plenty of towels, plenty of linen, comfy beds and, while not huge, plenty big enough for ourselves and our bags. The rooms were also air conditioned - important for sleeping in summer. There were plenty of nice cafes, retaurants and bars nearby for sustenance after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast included was v. handy with the kids rather than having to get organised to go out somewhere. Even though I was travelling with a v. hungry teen, he was satisfied with the choice of cereal, eggs, fruit, bread, cold meat, croissants, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or all of the above if you wanted. . The public areas of the hotel are tiny so don't expect to be hanging around here but if you're just looking for a clean comfy bed in a central location this is ideal. Best for us was that we were getting the TGV early on the final morning and were able to just cross the road to gare de lyon. You can also get to most places in the city either directly or with just one change as several lines converge in Gare de Lyon. Overall I would recommned this hotel to anyone. I was delighted with it and we had a great start to our holiday.

The location of this hotel was fantastic. Within a very close walk to Gare de Lyon station...we could see the station clock from our hotel room window. The area around the hotel is also great, with some lovely restaurants, supermarket etc. The room was great, quite spacious (triple share). The bathroom/room was newly renovated as well. The only con about the place was that the television had satelite but no English speaking stations. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and offered a lot of suggestions to us. We had a 1 year old baby too and they were extremely accommodating, with supplying milk/heating it etc. I'm heading back to Paris in two weeks time and I am staying in this hotel again. I can't recommend it enough. Not only was the room perfect for what we wanted but the major selling point is definately the location. Even if you don't want to go out at night into the more touristy areas, the area around the hotel was great for dinner/cafe.

Very standard Parisian hotel, but clean and incredibly near to Gare de Lyon. This can make it a bit noisy - not unusual for Paris. The non-street facing rooms are a bit smaller and darker, but much quieter at night, although there is air conditioning fan noise from the neighboring restaurants during the day. The public areas are very basic, with just a few tables for coffee and croissants in the morning. Although I might sound a little negative above, I would recommend this hotel if you need a rest-stop near the Gare de Lyon: is just so close to the station, the rooms are clean, and the staff are helpful - exactly what I needed.

ONE Very Significant Problem. They put us in a room that had been recetly painted with Oil Based paint and it took 3 days for the smell to diminish. To add insult to injury the following day they painted again (in our absence) We asked for another room which we were given. The Hotel is in walking distance of the train from southern France. It is also in walking distance of a Shuttle bus to the Airport. Both points were very valuable to us. Recommended,in spite of being taken for granted with the paint

I LOVED THIS HOTEL!!! I've been to Paris many times and stayed at many hotels there, some quite posh, and this hotel was excellent, not only the price, value for money. My room was spacious, clean, nicely furnished, beautiful bathroom. Hotel location great for Gare de Lyon trains, metro, cafes and the area is safe, clean, and quiet. Great feature--hotel has free internet terminal in lobby for emails!!!

Situation intéressante, juste en face de la gare. hotel mal isolé,on entend la télé de la chambre voisine. Le samedi matin, nous avons dû attendre 45 minutes pour avoir une place pour le petit déjeuner!

Being in Paris, it is a good choise if you balance price, quality, service and location. Rooms, aisles, and breakfast place are very small; but bathroom is OK, new and very clean.

Great location for train travelers to the south. The hotel met all our expectations regarding cost and facilities. The staff are to be commended for their friendliness and efficiency, a far cry from what we had become accustomed to in France.

Nicely located with plenty of dining available nearby. Transportation choices are excellent. The walls were a bit thin. I could easily hear guests in the hallway and adjacent rooms. The included breakfast choices were okay, but the coffee was the worst (I'm used to American coffee).

Although the room was small, hotel is very clean, comfortable and in great location, right across the street from Gare de Lyon. Nice European breakfast served in dining room next to lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful and were fluent in English. I would definitely stay at Terminus again if in Paris.

Nice hotel opposite of Gare de Lyon. We had a small room with very nice bathroom. If you use the room only to sleep it is OK, otherwise the room is to small. The location of the hotel is very good to explore Paris by public transport. Many metro lines stop at the railway station. Good access by Car. Parking was no issue due to public parking in the near area.

This was a terrific hotel, fantastic location opposite train station with plenty of good restaurants and cafes at hand. Overall the room was a little small but we did have four people, so at some stage you do have to compromise something. Very clean, excellent new bath room, view was not so crash hot (looking onto other buildings) but hey, its Paris. Breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly and made every effort to speak as much English as they could. We would certainly recommend this hotel to any traveller.

We were in transit from Nice to CDG airport in Paris and had the day in Paris. The hotel was very convenient for the Gare Lyon train station and also bus service to CDG airport. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast included with the room was very good and exceeded expectations. Very good value for the price.

The family room we booked was not available on arrival but we were provided with 2 double rooms instead. The rooms were at the front on 5th floor . They each had a veranda which at least allowed us to stretch out of the small rooms. The only issue was the breakfast lady who was really disinterested in us and ignored man requests for tea etc. Obviously handy for the trains but we used the Batobus(river boat) most of the time from the nearby Seine. Needless to say Paris was wonderful and can't wait to return.

Hotel according to our expecctations based on previous travellers reviews. Staff polite and spoke good english. Hotel very clean, room (quad) not big but suffcient for our need. Good breakfast for Paris and included in the price. No problem to keep our luggage safe after check out the last they as we experienced the last part of our Paris vacation. Location close to Gare de Lyon very easy for traveling around the city (metro line 1& 14), short walk acoss the riwer to the Batobus.

Great location. Literally across the street for Gare Lyon and a ten minute walk to Notre Dame. They accommodated our early arrival, had free internet, and the room was above satisfactory. The walls were a little thin, but only when the neighboring TV was on loud. There was an older couple next to us so they might have had to turn it louder than normal as well. The ONLY issue we had with this hotel was the horrific smell of cigarette smoke that we couldn't seem to escape from. We were in a non-smoking room on a non smoking floor, but with restaurants surrounding the hotel and the hotel doors always open it presented an air quality issue. We were there for only one night, but would have had to move rooms or hotels because of this issue.
