We stayed for 3 nights. My single room was tiny and right next to the elevator so that I could hear the noise from the elevator all night through. Altough the room was tiny, the bathroom was not even on the same floor, but 1 floor above with a dizzying spiral staircase going up, which I had to climb up and down when going to the bathroom. My collegue could not sleep either because there were strange noises all night from the pipes in her bathroom. Her shower was moldy. I think that for this price you can find something nicer.

We spent one night in the Suede St Germain. The room was perfectly adequate for a night, but might be a bit cramped for three on a longer stay. The hotel is located in a quiet road in the 7th Arrondisement (an area well patrolled by the Gendarmerie!) and within 15 minutes walk of the Eiffel Tower (our main reason for the visit). Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. Only a couple of downsides - parking near the hotel is very difficult and the nearest public car park is currently undergoing refurbishment and has limited spaces. Also, breakfast service is rather slow, which could be a problem for the business traveller.

Very quiet redidential vicinity. If you have a car, hopeless for parking. Conran and Bon Marche 10 mins walking and great places for shopping.

on the net breakfast was included in the price( i always look for room & breafast included) : but not when we got the bill on leaving the hotel ! and i couldn't prove anything ! an advice when you book on the net : be sure everything is written on your bill !!! location : excellent so quiet and so near st germain des pres !

The single room reservation meant a room that was like a youth hostel - tiny closet like room with old furniture that could be found on the street, cracked plaster in bathroom. I was shown 4 rooms like that. The distraught receptionist who agreed with the embarassing conditions finally showed me a 'premiere' room with double bed and window, and bathroom that was recently remodeled, where I stayed for 3 nights. The last day the hotel was laying down carpet and the entire hotel was filled with noxious fumes. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The hotel managers could have cared less about the fumes or inconvenience. This is a great location, but very poorly run hotel. No way does this hotel deserve 3 stars as it claims.
