We stood in Paris 4 days (3 nights).Rooms are little but very clean, even quite too warm also swiching off radiators. Position is simply perfect, you can arrive at Eiffel Tower in less then 15 minutes walking sloowly. Lot of little restaurants (chinese, japanese, italian, indian...) in neighbours (price quite expensive as in the rest of Paris but high quality food).Good breakfast in hotel, it costs 12€ but you can eat a lot,in fact you have to notice that in the nearest brasserie you pay 7,5€ for a little croissant, a very little orange juice and a cup of milk with coffe (if you want cappuccino is an extra 5,50€)!!! Staff is very nice.

This was our last hotel on a 3 week Europe trip in Italy and France and unfortunately was the worst. We stayed in a junior suite which was way overpriced. The bathroom door was falling to bits, the room walls were dirty. Common areas and reception needed re-vamping. Nothing to do in the area. Only thing it was good for was the view of the eiffel tower. Although you could only see the eiffel tower as you walked in the door and on the balcony, NOT from the bed as it is described on their website. Very overpriced for the quality of the furnishings and cleanliness of the hotel. Would highly recommend the other hotel in the Opera District - Relais Madeleine.

Tiny and thoroughly depressing room (as was breakfast room - avoid). Shower useless. Demanded change of room and second one was better as on 5th floor. Ludicrous 'no food in room' rule when they are selling crisps in their mini bars! Walls paper thin. Location real reason to stay in this hotel.

The first day we arrived, we were put up to the 5th floor with eiffel tower view with which i requested, the with of the room was 2ft bigger than the bed and the lenght was 5ft longer, it was to small so i asked the receptionist to get me another room he gave me first floor still with a view but a far bigger room it had two tables and chairs lots more room to move and relax, very quite no noise heard at all, we didnt bother having the breakfast it was abit to expensive theres cheaper out there with better range of food, over all great stay, would 100% stay again,

The desk staff was very helpful. One gentleman on the day shift was particularly knowledgeable about the entire city. The hotel was in a very central location near the rue Cler. It was easy to get around the city on nearby public transportation. Our room had a lovely view of the city. However, our room was tiny and the furnishings were shabby and dated. The price was high considering the amenities offered (although Paris room rates are high in general).

Stayed for 2 nights with my boyfriend. Fab hotel! View of the eiffel tower was amazing. Great location - short walk (2 mins maybe) to the top of Jardins de Champs de Mar which leads straight up to the Effiel Tower. Lovely bars and restaurants close by. Hop on hop off bus passes the hotel and stops opposite l'Hotel des invalides. Breakfast was good. 12 euros abit expensive but could eat as much as you want - bread, croissants, pain au chocolate, cereal, yoghurts - fills you up for the day. One down thing is the rooms are quite small but I was aware of this from reviews I had read. However, not a problem. Only in the room to sleep! Too busy sightseeing and the view from the balcony more than makes up for it. Would definatley recomment this hotel to a friend.

The views of the Eiffel Tower are spectacular from the 07 rooms (jr suites). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is great - several cafes, a laundry, a couple grocers, and ATMs. Near rue Cler - one of the great market streets in the 7th. Close to the Metro (50 meters)with good connections to most everywhere. We spent 9 nights there, and would stay again. Others have commented on room size. The Jr suites that overlook the Eiffel are spacious by European standards and quite comfortable.

The room we had was VERY small, even by Paris standards. I paid for a superior double, but there was nothing superior about it. There is no air conditioning in the room, so if it is warm outside be prepared to sweat the night out. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is nicely located (about a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower). This hotel is better suited for someone on a limited budget.

We stayed on the 5th floor had a small balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower which was only about 5-10 min walk away. The Metro was only about 50 metres away and we were able to travel to all of the touist areas. Tour bus - with four tours of Paris was just down the road. Loved Versailles - easy access via the train. Loved the Lovre, Notre Dame, boat trips on the Siene. Had a couple of meals on the Effiel Tower. Fantastic restaurant on the second level.

Nice friendly hotel, good location. If it is not a lot more expensive it is definitely worth doing as we did - paying slightly more for a 'double superior' room - to get a balcony with a view. Two (minor) criticisms: 1) the buffet breakfast is over-priced (but there are a lot of bars in the area where you can get a coffee and croissant) 2) the double bed is not v long. That said, we were v happy with our stay.

I was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival to the Hotel Splendid. The area is really nice & ultra convenient to things such as the Eiffel Tower, shopping and great restaurants. We were disappointed to find that our room didn't directly face the Eiffel Tower, since it was our Anniversary. :(( However, it was a nice room with 2 balcony's. The Front Desk staff was nice especially Daniel(??) He was always patient in helping us with directions 7 even mailed off a letter for us on our last day, only cost 1 euro. I am glad I booked the hotel on venere.com, the price was much better, than say just showing up. the cleaning crew was also very nice & helpful. We really, really enjoyed ourselves! we would go back, but I would truly insist on an Eiffel Tower view!!!

I had a wonderful visit at Splendid Hotel! It was my first visit to Paris, traveling alone as well. From reading the posted comments I got exactly what I expected out of the experience. An equivalent priced hotel in the US would have been much nicer and spacious, but the expectations are different in foreign countries. So, I thought overall, the price, value, comfort, cleanliness, and friendliness of staff was very good and met my expectations. The staff speaks English, many cafes nearby to dine, and Metro across the street. Oh yeah, and you can't forget the awesome view of the Eiffel Tower from the 6th floor rooms with balconies. The rooms are small, fitting only the bed and dresser. Bathrooms are small too. I might think about bringing my own hair dryer next time since the one provided was more reminiscent of a vacuum cleaner attached to the wall - I actually took pictures of it to show my hairdresser and girlfriends! :-) I would definately recommend staying here.

The hotel has a direct view of the Eiffel Tower from it's superior rooms, which we had. But, we were placed on the first floor where a light post lined up exactly with the Tower and obscured the view. However, the price of the room remained the same and the entire point of the choice of this hotel in order to have an unobstructed view was negated.

We loved this hotel! It is quaint and a bit funky in a charming sort of way. We stayed at the Hotel Splendid Tour Eiffel for 6nights. Although we have been to Paris on several occasions, it was our first stay at this property. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating for the most part. It is conveniently located to the Metro station. And although bar/restaurant services within the hotel are limited, there are several cafes and attractions within easy walking distance. The unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower from our 6th floor "junior suite" was spectacular! As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms may be on the smallish side for some travelers. However, we didn't find them to be any less so than other European hotels. All in all a great experience. We will return on our next trip to Paris and would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller more intimate property to stay.

As it turned out I got sick with bronchitis during our stay in Paris, but I can't imagine being in a more pleasant environment than my own home. I had visited Paris once before, and, not being much of a sightseer, was comforted by the beautiful view of the Tour Eiffel from our window. For my husband, for whom it was a first visit the hotel location in the heart of Paris was ideal in that he was able to see all the sights by foot and tour bus. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tour Eiffel Splendid to anyone.

I took my mother to Paris for her first time to Europe and we were thrilled with this hotel. It was very clean and in a safe location with lots of great restaurants. Rue Cler, which has been made famous by Rick Steves, was just around the corner, as was a metro stop. We had a room with two twin beds and the bathroom was very large for Paris. If you looked out our window and to the left, there was a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Some of the staff were better than others, but overall they were very helpful. A great choice.

I love this hotel! It's situated at an excellent location, you could see the Eiffel Tower from the room window. The location is also convenient- several steps to the Metro, bus stations, supermarket, a few restaurants & bars, and important tourist sites are within walking distance. Yes it's small, but it has everything. Cleanliness is the most important aspect for me when traveling, and this hotel is VERY CLEAN. The reception staff are friendly, efficient, and humorous. The only thing that needs improvement is perhaps the slightly sagging mattresses and the lack of a free internet access point (you have to pay 7 euro for 30 minutes to use the computer in the hotel bar). Apart from that, everything else is quite perfect. I would surely recommand it to others.

I was told that the hotel rooms in Europe are usually in small scale, so I was not surprised when we (my 17-year-old daughter & I) saw the room. However, the room was exceptionally clean, including the bathroom. We had the Superior twin room, so we have two twin beds (they are not as comfortable as they look). We also have a little patio, where you can enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower. We stayed on the 5th floor and although there is a busy street in front of the hotel, we could hardly hear a thing at night or in the morning. We only stayed two nights at the Splendid Tour Eiffel, but we enjoyed our stay and most likely we will stay there again if we return to Paris. By the way, the hotel staffs speak fluent English and they are very friendly.

Bathroom functional but cramped = only one at a time. Only about 8 minutes to walk to Eiffel tour. Less than two minutes to Metro station. Didn't try breakfast but it is 12 Euro. Minibar prices high - suggest buying at local stores any items you need. There is a small fridge. The provided basic ammenities like shampoo, soap, show polisher, etc. which is quite nice for a budget hotel. Location, cleanliness and friendliness were well worth the 114 Euro per nigth for two people we paid but only in contrast to how expensive the rest of Parisian lodging is.

I've been to a few other countries so it wasn't a big deal to me, and the room was very clean and tidy. There is a small fridge in the room full of drinks but my wife and I just took them out to put our food in. Front desk is very helpful with showing you where things are. Great place to stay, cafes across the street are convenient to grab a bite to eat!

Stayed in Hotel Splendid for 3nights in Feb. Excellent Location 3 min walk to ecole militaire metro stop(line 8) that will take you anywhere in the city. 2 minute walk to ecole militaire and entrance to champs de mars (gardens of the eiffel tower) lovely to walk up them. Stayed in double superior, small compared to other hotels i've stayed in but wouldnt need it any bigger. fab view of eiffel tower from window. very clean room and staff very friendly. Small shop across the road and supermarche near by as well as restaurants. Traveled from CDG airport. Got roissy bus to Opera and metro from Opera to ecole militaire.

Overall this is an excellent hotel for the price and location. Blocks away from Rue Cler and the Eiffel Tower. Easy access by metro with a stop across the street, but the trip from CDG requires two transfers so be prepared(RER to metro to another metro). Hotel staff was excellent for coordinating before the stay and also while in Paris. 5th Floor rooms have balconies that overlook the Eiffel Tower, but all rooms have a relatively good view. Quality of rooms and facilities was appropriately 3 star.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Spendid Tour Eiffel. Our first night the night manager was not especially friendly, and there was a problem with the (incredibly expensive - 20 euros for 24 hours) internet card required to use the wi-fi there, but other than that, everything was great. Amazing location, great view of Eiffel Tower out of our balcony window, very clean and comfortable.

The best thing about this hotel is the view of the eiffel tower from the balcony (room 501). The tower is illuminated at night and it makes the balcony setting perfect for a bit of romance and a glass of champagne. The hotel is charming, clean and smart. The staff are very helpful and available 24/7. We arrived at midday and the concierge allowed us to check in immediately. I Think the rooms are adequate in size, and the bathrooms are clean. The rooms are cleaned each day. I will definately stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. This hotel is is in a fantastic location about 400 yards away from the champs de mars gardens that lead to the eiffel tower (5 minute Walk Max to the Tower). Ecole Millitaire Tube is just around the corner. Taxi's are about 10 Euros to get around (Paris is surprisingly small)and offer great sights as they take you across the river via the louvre.

Está cerquita de la torre Eiffel. Puedes pedir habitaciones con vistas hacia la torre. Tienes cerca un supermercado con precios más que asequibles. Desde la torre Eiffel de noche se distingue perfectamente el Hotel por su iluminación.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Splendid Tour Eiffel. After making our reservations I contacted the hotel directly and asked to upgrade to a room with a view of the Eiffel tower. They were able to upgrade us to one of the front rooms and the view was wonderful. We had champagne and chocolates as we watched the sun set on the Eiffel tower from our room. We walked from the hotel to the Louvre and Arch de Triumph. It was a pretty long walk but we like to walk. If you do not like to walk you might want to choose a hotel that is more centrally located. I would recommend that you explore the little streets east of the hotel. There are some great little shops and restaurants. The streets were smaller and quieter than the ones downtown and we greatly enjoyed walking around. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Splendid Tour Eiffel again. The staff was very kind and helpful and we liked the location.

Other than the availability of le petit dejeuner, no other food was available - it was downstairs in a windowless basement room, so we did not sample - we used the many cafes across the road. My wife was ill for two days of our stay and when I asked for some sandwiches or light refeshment for her I was directed to the shop across the road! There are plenty of Bistros and restaurants in the area and the Metro -L'Ecole Militaire is close by. Wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower, particularly at night.

When I arrived at 3 pm, with jet lag for my 2 night stay, I was told my room was not available and that I could take a room at a nearby hotel. I had to pack and unpack 4 times for my two night stay. Very frusterating that I was "Paying" to have my luggage stay in the hotel lobby and live from a suitcase since I only had access to the room for sleeping purposes only. Hotel Blunder made my trip to Paris not so Splendid. I paid for a Eiffel Tower View hotel and what I received was access to my luggage from the hotel lobby. Overall, Paris was very nice.

This hotel truly was Splendid. Everyone spoke excellent English, staff was most inviting, and had many ideas of where to go and how to get there. As far as the room, I got everything I asked for and more: a top floor room with a fabulous view of the Tour Eiffel. As this was my first time in Paris, I loved that! Great location, the first thing I did was take a stole over the Tour Eiffel. There is a metro stop across the intersection, but I found a taxi was not too expensive to go most places. Countless great cafes/restaurants, and shops, as soon as you step outside. Excellent boutique hotel! Would definitely stay again!

My husband, my parents and I stayed at the Splendid for 3 nights (2 rooms) and it was perfect for walking to and from the Eiffel tower and to LesInvalides. If you stretch yourself outside your window you could actually see the tower from the room. I think the only rooms with direct views of the Tower are the rooms labeled "suites." Rooms were clean and size of room and facilites typical of european cities. breakfast is NOT included, however there is a grocery store that opens at 9am near the Metro station (less than two blocks away). Staff were sometimes terse, but not unusual for large cities. Overall very satisfied with stay there.

We stayed in the double room classic which was smaller than it looks in the picture. We requested a view of the Eiffel Tower and had one if we stuck our heads out the window and looked right. Still a beautiful view. Great location to Metro transportation. One negative, not much activity in this area at night even at dinner time. Street traffic was quite noisy. Loved it for my first time but probably wouldn't stay again.

It was the first time to stay at Hotel Splendid Tour Eiffel. We traveled with family (wife, 16+13 years old children) to enjoy new year eve and new year in Paris. The location is good to access a few minutes walk to subway station as well as super market, bars, restaurant. The staff in reception are helpful but with some limited range which was a little bid disappointing when I tried to reconfirm flight from Paris, but not a big deal. We walked down to Tour Eiffel (20 min.) on new year eve where a lot of people gathered to celebrate a new year which was exciting. We stayed in Superior room with balcony from where we can see shining Tour Eiffel in night, which was so great. I can recommend this hotel for everybody to feel Paris.

It was fabulous to have a view of the Eiffel Tower from our room. It made us feel like we were really in Paris. The location was excellent. It was very close to the Metro and walking distance to other things. There was a convenient supermarket close by. Breakfast was included as a special promotion and was very pleasant although we wouldn't have used this facility if we had to pay extra. There service was excellent and the room was quite pleasant. We would stay here again.

Hotel very clean in all areas, would visit again without hesitation. Paid bill by credit card and it was converted into pounds at a poor exchange rate. Be aware of this and ask for the bill to state euros, would have got a far better exchange rate if I had done this.
