Hotel Sevres Saint Germain was precisely what we were looking for, a little hotel tucked a few blocks away from about everything you could want in France. We got the most basic room possible and though it was small (this is Paris), it was very clean, sleek, and modern. The bathroom was extraordinarily large and modern (this from someone who studies in Paris and lives in a relatively spacious apartment for Parisian standards). Those working at the desk were very nice and friendly, and were quite helpful when we forgot our key in the room. Overall a great experience.

The room was smaller and more expensive than another that I rented during my trip. But it was clean and plenty of room for me and my mother. There wasn't any noice between rooms, but our room faced the street, which is quite busy. Because of the beautiful fall weather, we wanted to open up the window, but it was too loud on the street. With the window closed the noise level was better, but still could be loud. I loved the area. It was close to transportation and great shopping. The guy a tthe front desk referred us to two restaurants which were very good. I thought the room was a little expensive, but I would stay there again.

A beautiful hotel in the centrally-located in an amazing neighbourhood in Paris! The room was very tiny but expected that for an older-hotel in the middle of Paris but the decor was very funky and even had the original thick wood beams on the ceilings which was cool. Was surprised there was no baggage service in a 4 star considering our 2 star in Rome help us to our room in the tiny elevators and hallways but I guess that's Paris. We didn't do the breakfast as St. Germain district is home to some of the most amazing bakeries in all of Paris. Everything is within walking distance (for young-ish travellers. For older travellers, likely a cheap taxi ride) and the shops, restaurants and scenery in this area are amazing so enjoy the adventures from this centrally-located base!

A party of six adults in three rooms stayed in late September 2013. We all found the rooms to be very well decorated, clean and fresh. The staff could not have been more helpful, giving us maps and directions and giving us tips on where to go and how to get there. Air conditioning great, although we only needed it one night when we closed the window. Fantastic, safe, clean location. Will recommend and visit again.

The hotel Sevres Saint Germain exceeded my expectations! It is good value for money in a city where you can not spare money with accommodation or you will end up in a dirty, shoe size box room. Staff is friendly, rooms are nicely decorated and location is great!

Small hotel but nice and clean. We had the "prestige" room and it was good size. The location of the hotel is very convenient, within walking distance to major sights in Paris and metro Saint Placide is nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing in my room would be the toilet, it was in a separate room from the bathroom. We used the airport service on the way back and were very happy with it. Overall, we loved this hotel and would stay there again the next time we visit Paris.

In general, we were quite pleased with the hotel and would recommend it based on price and location. The only major problem was the breakfast. We only bought breakfast once knowing that it was expensive but was surprised at the the poor selection of food for 15 Euro per person.

We were there on vacation. The room was not too large, but it's like that in most hotels in France, but the room was very cozy, everything worked, there was also free internet connection for your laptop, although, paid, if you want to use the computer in the lobby. The room was a little noisy because of construction outside, but that was temporary. The hotel is in a very convenient location. There is a Gourmet Food store at the end of the street, it's close to anything any visitor might want - shopping, restaurants, art gallerie, sightseeing, etc. We didn't use the train once the whole 4 day visit. I would definitely recomend it.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel, with it's sweet and very attentive staff. We actually had some problems paying for the hotel after our stay, since we had a problem with our VISA. The staff were very professional and handled the situation perfectly. We cleared things out with the bank by phone, and everything went smoothly. We understand that our room was somewhat larger than the average room and it was very spacious indeed. We recommend the breakfast at Le Nemrod a bit further up the street. Very good metro-communications in the area, and also non-expensive taxi-services in the city. A perfect place to stay, because it's a quiet and calm, yet central area, with easy-access to all the other areas in the city that one may want to go. After a few hours in the more hectic parts of Paris, this is a very good place to go back and get some rest, relax and chill out, before hitting the streets again. The hotel is very close to some great shopping streets, the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg, and also, the great cafés along the Rue de Saint Germain. We would also like to recommend a visit to Le grand Epicerie, by the bon Marché at the end of the street. It's not very cheap, but it's quite an experience for the ones who likes cooking, spices and is into rare and exclusive foods.

Good discounted rate through Venere which made this hotel excellent value. We had room 15 which is superb. It has a four poster bed, seperste bathroom and toilet, faced the interior courtyard(quiet) and was reasonably spacious for a city centre hotel. The standard of decoration of the room was top class. Staff were pleasant and helpful even offering us an umbrella when it was raining. We liked the location and enjoyed walking out from the hotel in all directions. Montparnasse, the boulevards, Les Invalides, the Musee D'Orsay, Jardins de Luxembourg and the Pantheon are all highly recommended and within reasonable walking distance. Bon Marche and its excellent food hall could not be closer. On a parallel street the restaurant L'Epi Dupin is well worth visiting. We decined breakfast because we are not big eaters in the morning and thought 13 euros was a bit steep. We were however, offered coffee and croissant for 5 euros each which we thought was good value.

I was in Paris for work and decided to remain for a long weekend with my boyfriend that joined me on Saturday. I had been to Paris several times also for business reasons and I know pretty well the St. Germain and Montparnasse areas and hotels. It has been my first time at the Sevres Saint Germain, a very nice, charmy and comfortable hotel just close to the wonderful rue du Bac, rue du Cherche Midi and rue de Sevres with wonderful shops and cafes. The room was really nice and romantic, with very goodlooking classical furnitures and some modern details (e.g.: the LCD's TV flat screen). As most of the hotel's rooms in central Paris this was not very big but the space was enough and very well structure to make it very comfortable. I am really thinking about staying at this hotel also for next business travel to Paris.

Recommended. Rooms are rather small (typical for Paris), but nice and clean. The bathroom on the other hand was quite spacious and looked recently renovated. Nice surroundings - many shops and restaurants nearby.

Terrific hotel in central Paris, lovely rooms with character. Will definitely use it again. The hotel staff was more than helpful. Good find!

I would highly recommend this hotel. The manager and her staff were most accommodating. This was actually the third time I stayed there and look forward to returning next year.
