Our room was dirty and badly maintained. There was no lift so we had to carry our cases up 6 flights of stairs. The Manager was unhelpful and uninterested. We changed our original room as there was mould above the shower, you could not walk past the toilet and basin to reach the shower, the table, television and seat in the room were broken and the room was not very clean. Due to the condition of the room we asked to be moved but the second room was not much better. The breakfast area was empty seemingly in the process of being re-decorated, although we did not see any decorators during our stay. The breakfast tables, etc were pulled out into the reception area. This building has not been properly cared for or maintained. The public areas, bathrooms and rooms in general were a disgrace. The only saving grace was that it is in a beautiful area of Paris which we really enjoyed exploring.

This is basically a very poor hotel, which might suit students on a very small budget. The room we stayed in (for only one night of a three night booking) was small, the bed cover was torn, there was damp on the wall where the shower had overflowed, the bathroom was so small that one could not sit on the toilet without one's legs set sideways. It was, within those limitations, clean but our room had a broken cupboard without doors for a wardrobe and the rail fell off when clothes were hung upon it. The hotel must be in compliance with local statutory safety standards to operate, but I would not wish to be on the top floor in a fire with the only escape exit a number of flights of wooden stairs. It was my mistake to book this for a group of four people who are accustomed to rather higher standards of service, rooms and location. I would not recommend it.

The room we were allocated was filthy dirty, stained bed cover, dirty floor and toilet. The manager got it cleaned, after this the toliet bowl still had excrement down it. We took a digital photo, showed the manager. He shouted at the cleaner to go and do the job properly. The whole hotel looked like it needed a good clean. Not sure that the cleaner had ever been trained in how to do the job. Sadly this had the overall effect of spoiling our stay in Paris. We paid 111 Euros including 12 for breakfast. I would rather have paid a lot more for something clean, that is a basic requirement. I would not pay anything to stay in this place until they gave it a good clean. The pictures on the web site made it look good and the reviews I read were good. I feel that I should have got our money back but we wanted to leave our cases there to look around Paris, so it did not seem very wise to have an argument.

I like very much to stay at Hotel Saint Honore, the rooms are good with one excellent shower. The hotel has one excellent location, near Louvre, Tulleries, Les Halles and Sena River. The service is very good. The only thing I did not like on the hotel was the lack of elevator to carry the baggages to the rooms.

The only thing I really liked about this hotel was the fact it is located very near to Le Louvre and people in the reception was very kind and helpfull. But the bathroom was SO small that my bf and I couldnt get in together. I was very disapointed with that. And there were no elevator also. I'd rather stay in a hotel not so weel located, but clean and nice. It wasnt worth it.I wouldnt stay in this hotel again.

As read before I booked the location is great. Thats where the good part ended for our 4 night stay at Hotel Saint Honoré. The shower was not big enough for my husband although he is a normal sized man (88 kg). We had to hold the shower head up with our hands. The TV did not work. The room was very small and the walls were extremely thin. The woman next door to us keept getting sms messages and we constantly chequed our phones!! When we complained we got a not so nice attitude from the man in the front desk. We were told the rooms were all the same for this price and the only ones beeing bigger were for 3-4 people. On our last night they changed our room and the one we got was quite bigger and better (still being in the same pricerange). We requested a discount on account of our dislikes and the man started out by telling us that he allready gave a discount through venere. So I guess the quality of the product did not have to be up to price or standards described. Non the less we finally got a discount for the first three nights. 30 € wow. Luckily we did not spend a whole lot of time in the Hotel so the trip was saved by the beautiful city of Paris.

We are fortunate to have a two star hotel in this part of Paris, there are very few left. It is a good two star hotel, but it is not for everyone. If you have a lot of luggage, more than 15 kg, and cannot carry it yourself, you will not be able to take it up the stairs, and perhaps you will not fit it in the cupboards. But for an experienced traveler, the location is so good and the price competitive, that I can recommend it.

The gentleman at reception didn't seem to have a clue that we were coming, when he eventually realised we were told to come back in two hours (at 1pm). We left our luggage and returned to have to face an enormous struggle up 6 flights of stairs as there's no lift with our luggage. In the miniscule room the walls were mouldy, the furniture broken, the carpet damp and shredded and the bed had a thin foam matress. In the bathroom there wasn't enough room to use the facilities with the door closed and neither myself or my girlfriend are particularly big. At night you have no choice but to leave the window open as it is boiling and without a/c but there is people shouting and heavy traffic all night right outside your window. not to mention the bin trucks which come by at 5.30 am. On a positive note the location is fabulous but that's the only positive i'm afraid.

Was very satisfied with all aspects of Hotel Stay/Location/staff. Only glitch was that it had no elevator and our room was on the 5th Floor. I guess I should have requested a room on 1st or 2nd floor or inquired what floor our room would be on. This did however allow us to 'eat more' and not gain weight which was a plus. And we did get help with carrying our luggage up and down when we requested. Staff was very helpful!!

Rough around the edges. The rooms are in need of a good cleaning. Bathrooms are in desperate need of a good cleaning. The beds were a bit stiff and uncomfortable. But for price, the location is what you're really paying for - it's close to everything that you need to be close to.

We were here for a weekend and the hotel is excellent situated, just a few seconds from the Louvre museum and Sena river. HOWEVER, our room was the attic and, despite it was silent and quiet, there was NO HOT WATER in the bathroom! Employees said "wait for a 20 minutes, please" but after to wait for 1 HOUR, there was no hot water again. At the end it means a reduction on the total price (20 euros). In conclusion, the hotel's situation was the best and it was perfect to stay for a weekend and visit Paris, but please, first of all, check and be sure about the water when you arrive.

Plus = Friendly staff. Great location between the Louvre and Notre Dame. Many shops, cafes, restaurants at your doorstep. The front desk was always very very friendly! The bathroom is small- you can not sit facing forward on the toilet b/c of the wall. The shower seemed to have enough room though. The room itself had enough space. Beds were always clean. There is no lift, and our room was up 5 flights of stairs, but we travel light and do not mind the exercise. Ask the friendly desk in advance for a room on a lower floor if necessary- I am sure they can accomodate. The location can not be beat- cafes and restaurants right next door, laundry mat across the street, huge grocery store around the corner, just a few mins walk from Louvre, the River Seine, and Notre Dame. Do not pay for the hotel breakfast- there is an amazing pastry shop next door to die for with any pastry or bread you can imagine. I would stay here again for the price!

We were pleased with our stay. The room was tiny and walls paper-thin; BUT, we knew this about the hotel already from other online reviews. For the price we paid, it was well worth it, especially with the outstanding location and extremely reasonable price. We took an electric clock that makes rain sounds (white noise) and that masked noise made by people in adjacent rooms. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and we slept well. Again, the location is outstanding.

Hotel Saint-Honore' is a basic, generally clean hotel with the huge advantage of location. The hotel is near two different metro stations, and a quick walk away from the Louvre. The decor and facilities are nothing to brag about, but we spent limited time in our room. We would definitley return to this hotel, since we wanted and expected what we found: a basic, very European hotel near all the places we wanted to visit.

Bedroom size was ok. Cleaning service ok. It was really dissapointing our arrive at 1.00 a.m., at midnight, when they told us we had NO RESERVATION AT ALL. I had checked the day before, by calling, that our booking was ok, and they assured me there won't be any problem. The man at the reception was really rude with us and insisted we were wrong. He sent us to a nasty hotel nearby and told us to solve the problem in the morning. So we did, and everything was strangely solved the following day. Location is great. Surroundings: plenty of cafés, Louvre Museum, the Centre Pompidou,..From then on, everything went ok, but I won't forget the horrible "welcome" to Paris. Maybe I'll stay there again due to the great quality-price, but I'll make sure once and again that they have our reservation ready.

Rooms,Beds and Bathroom were perfectly clean though small..We had children with us so it was fine for them size wise.Location excellent as is price..Lobby area was shabby and offputting and general decor on stairs and landing was unkempt. Also I was nervous of how I would get out in the event of an emergency.Overall, though,I would certainly overnight there again..I found staff helpful.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. It is basic but quite clean, the rooms are small (but that is Paris!) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The radiator couldn't be turned on, making relaxing in the room quite difficult. Furthermore, the emergency-exits were not clearly signed. The shower did't fit in the holder, and there was some fungus in the shower. The location was the hotel's best asset, but if you can find an ibis in a nice location, I would advise to go there.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. About a block and a half from the Louvre the hotel couldn't be in a better spot. That kind of where the good ends. The thing that hurt this place the most was the staff. The people at the front desk were consistently very rude. Our room was small but that was expected. The toilet was broken and it took me about a half hour to figure out how it flushed. The shower was OK but the drain was slow and I had to turn the water off twice during a shower to avoid flooding the bathroom. Although the room was advertised as having air conditioning but it did not. Overall the stay wasn't awful, but it did need some work. Of all the hotels we booked through venere this was the worst one.

The location is excellent! Just near the Louvre Rivoli underground station. The room space is small for us. We reserved a room for 4 persons but the beds are too small for four asian skinny girls. The bathroom is the smallest one I have ever seen. However, the heater worked very well and we enjoyed our stay at Saint Honore. The price is low, which is suitable for our limited budget. The restaurants surrounded are quite nice, you don't have to worry what to eat. Also there is a small supermarket which you can buy waters or snacks. Definately will stay in this hotel when I have a chance to Paris in the future! I recommend this hotel.

The good things about this hotel were the fantastic location, close to the Louvre and the RER B at Chatelet Les Halles, and within walking distance of everything you needed for a great stay in Paris, the staff spoke English, and were very helpful when our door lock jammed, and the price, which was excellent. The bad things were the endless stairs, and a miniscule bathroom, with no plug,so little legroom you had to sit sideways on the toilet and even my 5 year old son had trouble squeezing in past the washbasin. Having said that, it was warm, clean, quiet and cheap, and we would go back there.

For those not wanting to brave the hostels, this place is great for a satisfactorily clean, yet afffordable, room in Paris. We got this room for 74euro a night, which is good for this quartier and shared between two. Though on the small side, you can't expect any more in Paris. The bathroom is small like they say, but it's no big deal. It's not particularly charming, but the location is great for tourists and really, it will do for a few days to a week stay. We did get woken up by renovations next door for a few mornings so light sleepers might not like it. We also heard the entire dialogue of the french couple next door's marital row.The walls are a little thin. It's true, there is no elevator, but luck may be on your side and get a first or second floor room. If not, tant pis, most tourists must have good thigh muscles anyway.

1) The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived. 2) The narrowest WC/shower I have ever seen. 3) We were 4 people but only got 2 towels each day. We had to ask for 2 more at the reception every day. 4) There was no TV-set. It took 2 days to get one. 5) 4th floor and no elevator. If you go there, be sure you can climb narrow stairs. 6) I might go back there. You only use the room to sleep. It was very central, right behind the Louvre. Close to Metro and busses.

Location, location, location and for only 74 euro a nite. You can walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre easily. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent english. The room was small but clean. The shower had mold and the worlds shortest shower curtain that someone had cut the bottom off(At an angle). There were still rubbish left behind by previous occupants of the rooms when we checked in. Room was in a very poor condition (moldy ceiling) and cramp (had to leave the door open to use the sink in the bathroom). You can hear people on the same floor opening and closing their room doors. The room is actually awful. It is not very clean to be honest. The room is very small and it doesn't worth 74 Euro. Their Credit Card machine have a malfunction. I don’t know if the staff deliberately to do so or it is a real malfunction . He said my Credit Card is not acceptable but it did work perfectly in elsewhere of France. By the way, the hotel does not have a lift. People who carries heavy luggage will suffer from pain in the next day.

The hotel was great!!!!! The staff was very friendly and they were multilingual. It was our best choise in Paris. The hotel is in a safe area, its very close to everything (metro stations, the Louvre, etc), it is in a beautiful street where you can walk at night with no troubles or go to eat (there are very good restaurants there). It is very clean and we had our own shower and bathroom. Just one advice: If you take the metro to get there dont get off at Chatelet Station but wait one more station until Chatelet Les Halles, it is much closer. Just be careful in that station in the night. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone.
