We had a wonderful time, loved our room. The staff was extremely helpful on our first trip to France. They gave excellent recommendations for dining out. They were very accommodating in obtaining rental car information, tour information and even arranged a tour of Normandy with a tour company that gave us wonderful service. We would stay at this hotel in such a historic area again. Thank you!

We stay here whenever possible when we are in Paris and venere.com can get us a reservation. The location is fantastic, close to everything we want to do, and walk to!, in Paris. We stayed in one of the larger rooms toward the back this time and enjoyed the space. This may not be the best place for families and kids. The elevator is quite small - two persons and two suitcases. Some of the rooms are quite small, but all are very cute and typical of hotels of the period in Paris. Not al of them are so well located close to the Seine and on the Left Bank in the S Germain district. The front desk staff was very welcoming and accomodating this visit. All in our great value, very "cute" hotel and location, location, location. Will try to book again any time we visit Paris

My rating for value for money is based on the location. The hotel is located very close to the Seine. A short walk to the end of the street gets you to the Institut de France and within seeing distance of Notre Dame. Getting to the hotel via the Metro is easy. Just take Metro line 4 to St. Germain des Pres. Take the abbey exit and turn right on Rue Bonaparte. My only complaint about Room 23 was that there was only one power point that I could find and that was in the bathroom. Unless you have a long power extension cord, that makes running things like a laptop or battery recharger a bit inconvenient. Especially since the bathroom lights have to be left on in order to activate the power point. That's a relatively minor complaint though. The hotel is very comfortable, staff are friendly. Furnishings are comfortable. The elevator is very small.

I loved the decor and location of this hotel. The metro was nearby, as well as restaurants, pharmacy, outdoor vendors, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a comfortable size with modern equipment. I loved that it was peaceful and quiet.

Very quaint hotel with comfortable rooms, but small. Only problem - rooms at front of hotel are very noisy. We had to sleep with windows closed and aircon going not great! I think breakfast should be included in price considering how much is charged. Great location and handy to most facilities.

Lovely small hotel near to everything you need for a break in Paris. Rooms are small but this seems to be always the case in Paris. 100m from St-Germain des Pres Metro and walking distance from all the usual attractions.

the location of this hotel is it's selling point. to be honest I don't agree with the reviews i read on this hotel before our visit. The rooms are tiny and really need cheering up and updated. When we arrived the Receptionist said he could give us a nice room because the hotel was not full. Our room was tiny and the ensuite bathroom had a terrible damp smell, not sure what it was. I asked to be moved and we were given a room slightly bigger and a more updated bathroom, hence no smell. I have stayed in much nicer hotels in Paris, saying that the location is terrific of this hotel but I think it is dated and needs an upgrade.

Free internet was essential for me in chosing this hotel. Important was also closeness to a lot of small art galleries (Rue de Seine etc). I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, and the excellent service at the front desk. I stayed only two nights.

Third stay, and it was delightful once again. Small rooms are simply part of the scene, and the rooms are charming. Only complaint: grumpy chambermaid.

the location is perfect, we enjoyed les Deux magots café and Flore, mornings and evenings. The Hotel is smack in the middle of the St Germain des Prés area with Old Books shops, Fashion Shops, etc... Unbeatable location. Rooms are small but well isolated from street noises.

I stayed in one of the "attic" rooms for a couple of nights. This was probably the smallest room I'd ever stayed in - the bathroom had a sloped ceiling, so I couldn't stand up in the tub! The room did have a window on either side, though, so I was able to enjoy a nice breeze. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the WiFi worked very well, and the location was great. Even though the room was tiny, it was big enough for a single business traveler like me. I'd certainly stay here again.

This hotel is a perfect Parisian hotel located just off the Seine in a vibrant lively area. The staff in the hotel are excellent and we couldn't fault the service we recieved. The rooms were on the slightly small size but had everything needed and were beautifully clean and decorated in traditional style. We would definately return to this hotel.

wonderful location, within walking distance of most major attractions, close to metro, superb shopping and eateries in immediate area. A tiny dolls house of a hotel, beautifully decorated, very quiet, 5 star service, would certainly return.

We were in a double on the second floor. The reason I gave some lower scores for feedback was that we did not know the hotel was doing some outdoor renovation that started at 8AM M-F. This was bothersome because we had to have the window open (no A/C) and there were men working right outside our room. This was not only noisy but intrusive as these men could look into our room while we were showering and getting dressed. We have been to Paris several times and love staying in that location. Also the morning we left there was no hot water. Overall if the construction was not going on we would have enjoyed the hotel even more. We could not take a photograph of the hotel due to the construction. It was not too much of a problem for us but we heard many people complaining. The reason I scored the size of the room lower is that Americans are used to larger rooms - sorry! The bathroom had been renovated and was very spacious. They could take the desk out of the room (21) and put a chair there and it would be helpful to a traveler.

The hotel was pleasant and the staff were polite. However, the room air-conditioner was not working properly and was VERY noisy. Area above the bed (near the air condirioner was very dirty/dusty and had not been cleaned in a while). As a result I had an allergic reaction and was sneezing the minute I entered the room!! The surrounding area around the hotel was amazing. The cobled streets, the quaint restaurants and the general ambience...very nice.
