We love this hotel -- this was our third stay there (always in room 51, the junior suite). It is extremely small, not at all "fancy," and the lobby barely existent. But the staff is wonderful -- friendly and helpful -- and the location is perfect. Not inexpensive, but it's in the heart of Paris!

Enven if the location of the hotel is good, the relationship between price and quality is injustified: a room as large as a cupboard in the ground floor, without connectivity for GSM. There are many others Hotels in Paris, with good location, better services and correct prices. I really do not recomand this hotel for the single rooms.

Location is good that is close to the Louvre and metro station. Staff are nice and helpful. Cosy room with air-conditioning but is very, very small. The single room is on the ground floor and has a shared courtyard.

We feel that Relais du Louvre was an excellent choice for us in terms of location, quality of management, eagerness of management to be of service, cleanliness. It's location is very central, close to Louvre, and to all kinds of public transportation. We did everything on our list and had a great time. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to Paris. Paris travelers should beware of scam artists who claim to have found a gold ring and are willing to give it to you for a small cost. Ring is worthless, happened three times in one day. After they try we had a good laugh.

Location is superb. Room is rather small, but well proportioned. Staff is very polite, attentive, helpful and punctual. Breakfast is excellent, a couple of euros more expensive than in many cafés around but comfort of having it just in bed gives incomparable filling of indulgence to laziness of vacation.

I have been to Paris 4 times, and this is one of my favorite hotels. The location simply can't be beat, and the staff was helpful and welcoming, even reminding me of the time change which occurred during my stay. My room was tiny (typical of a European single) but charming. I absolutely would stay here again and I recommend it to anyone else traveling to Paris!

I always travel alone in Europe and try to live in different type of hotel, I can say Relais du Louvre is really one of the best in Paris. No matter the cleanliness of the room, the service of the employee...all of them give me very good impression. I will go back to this hotel in my next trip.

We were a family of three and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hotel was by far the best of our three hotels on this trip. The staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpfull. Their pre-arrival email correspondence was also superb. The room was small but laid out perfect for three people. We did not eat the breakfast because it was pricy at E13 but that seemed to be the norm for hotels in Paris. Instead we bought local pasteries and ate like the Parisians. The hotel location was outstanding with eating places all around the block. Across the street is the Lourve Museum so how can you go wrong? We rated this place a 10 because they were the best and had no problems with the hotel at all. We would definitly go back there again!

Very good location and quality of service. Standard rooms are not big, but it's OK taking into account that generally hotels in Paris have small rooms. The room space is well organised: we could put all our belongings into built-in wardrobe. There is no breakfast facilities in the hotel (it is serviced in the room), which is inconvenient. But there are a number of places nearby where you can have breakfast.

This gem of a hotel fit all our needs in every way. Our room was small, as with most charming european hotels, but still felt adequately spacious and was very clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff was always polite, gracious and helpful. Although we didn't have breakfast, we had room service one night, which was quite good. Located near Pont Neuf and Louvre, the location is excellent, yet still in a quiet private setting. The parking garage is right across the street. We will definitely be staying with them again!

The first point that appealed me was that Relais du Rouvre is located adjacent to Louvre Musium ,and within walking distance from Notre Dame and Orlsay Musium. During one night and half day stay we enjoyed twilight Seine cruse, and on the following day visited Notre Dame and orlsay Musium.

First time to Paris (coming in from a 3.5 day visit to Rome) for my wife & I, so we wanted a centrally located hotel where we could walk & use public transportation to explore. We used Trip Advisor comments to decide. This hotel is a smaller, older but renovated city house and fits the bill being one block from the Louvre. Our room had no view but it was adequate for our needs as we were out doing something all day walking etc. and were only there at night. The bathroom was modern, recently updated and very nice. The staff were very friendly & tremendous in helping us as non-French speaking folks. The weather was awful, cold high 30F to 50F, windy and rainy for most of our time in Paris late March but we saw Catherdral of Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, and by train to Versailles (WOW!) and the bus (#69) to Pere Lachaise Cemetery for Jim Morrison's grave too, all in 3.5 days from our cozy hotel homebase. The staff helped greatly in directing us to public tranportation and with ground transportation to/from airports. Our daughter is fleunt in French and stayed with us for 2.5 days up from her study abroad location in Montpellier so she was our impressive tour guide and knew the metro and train system and made us so proud of her maturity and academic progress in French & Italian majors as demonstrated in real life there. She is awesome. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again when we return in a couple of years as I expect to occur, with better weather we hope, like in later April-May.

Small and comfortable and in an excellent position for the Louvre and nearby museums, historical sites and cafés along the Seine. My mobility was temporarily limited due to an operation, so we needed somewhere very central to cut down on the walking distances. Our room was small (which we don't mind) but very cosy and the view over the Louvre and nearby church was just what we'd asked for in advance. Soundproofing was excellent. Staff were very knowledgable and helpful.

Me and my wife had a great time in Hotel Relais du Louvre, it's in a strategic position, walking distance from Louvre, St. Germain L'Auxerrois, NotreDame and more .. depends how mch youwant to walk. Close also to Pont Neuf metro. Great hotel small and very nice, with a family feeling. If I go back to Paris will be coming here again 100%. The room had a nice funriture and was the one with a private patio on the ground floor. Ciao

The location is really superb and the hotel is very nice. Rooms (I have single) are quite small but this is typical to all Paris hotels. In my room the conditioner was not working, it was not the problem because it was fresh, but in the case of hot summer it could be most unpleasant (on the web site all rooms are claimed to have conditioners). Anyway I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is situated behind the Louvre within walking distance to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, Pompidou Center, etc... There is also a very convenient metro stop one block away. The rooms themselves were a nice size but the elevator was very tiny and the stairwell even tinier. Persons with handicaps are overweight would have a difficult time. Also, it was loud. Not noise from the streets but noise from within. The sound travelled everywhere. Our teenage sons had a room above our but two floors up. We could hear them laughing in our room but when we went up to the room it wasn't easy to hear them through the door. I guess the sound came through the pipes and walls? They did offer a breakfast in the morning delivered to the room but 1) there wasn't a convenient place to eat in the room and 2) at 13 euro each we thought it was way too high. Overall I would recommend but not for light sleepers.

Hotel is as reviewed by others. Staff is excellent, English speaking and helpful. The hotel is extremely well located within walking distance many top tourist sites. Rooms are small, however, but very well maintained. Hotel does have wireless internet and is free (as of 3/08). Breakfast service is well worth the money as there are few alternatives nearby early in the morning. Would also recommend the restaurants along the Place Dauphine on the Ile de la Cité only a short walk over the Seine from the hotel.

The Relais du Louvre was wonderful. We booked the suite 52 and a double room for our party (we were 5 persons). When we went to the hotel the staff was welcoming and we were impressed with the location(superb), coziness, and cleanliness. They even upgraded us to the full apartment on the 6th floor (which had a large living room, good sized bedroom, a full kitchen with balcony)for the same price as the suite. The double room was somewhat small but not out of proportion to what is expected in Paris. (This was probably the best property we have ever stayed in, in Paris).
