The room was suitable, in size, for only one person. I'd have booked a much larger room had I known this. I can't comment on the hotel's web page.

This hotel was just what my friend and I needed. It was very good quality for the price and the reception staff were all welcoming and helpful. The location is good for walks, places to eat, shopping and public transport. I would definitely be happy to stay there again on my next visit to Paris and could recommend it to others.

The staff were lovely, really helpful and knowledgeable. My room was huge, on the top floor, clean, bright and modern. Lovely toiletries too. I'll definitely stay there again, as it was in a great area and really close to lots of metro stops (although, it's close enough to the city centre to walk easily).

When we entered our room, we noticed that the safe in our room was locked. We asked the staff to open it for us, but she said she would open it the next morning. (Maybe because it was near 5 p.m. and she was going to leave.) In the next 3 days, she never came to open the safe for us. About this event, the service was dissapointing. Location was good. The room was clean. The wifi was free. Nothing else to complain about.

Good place if you get it at a low price via venere. The shower was terrible but the rest was fine. The location is close to many nice places iin Paris. Good locations close to get cheap breakfast. I would definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and the shower was hot. The bathroom was quite large but the room was small. We had a triple and with the extra bed we had just enough room to get around the edges of the beds. The day staff was more helpful than the night staff. They answered our questions but were not exactly forthcoming with any additional suggestions. The metro was very close about 2 short blocks away. For the price of the room I thought we could have had a larger room. Wireless internet was available but we could hardly get a signal. It was very intermittent. The TV had CNN which helped us stay in touch with the news.

Have been to Paris before and this was a good location and nice hotel by Paris standards. We had a triple that was very nice and clean. Elevator worked great. Some problems with hot water flucuations while showering but only during peak periods. Bakery right across the street. Close to two Metro stations but you have to go uphill for one. Overall would highly reccomend this property and stay there again. Did not get breakfast due to price- easy to get it right outside the door. Safe and refrigerator in room.

Shortly after making reservation on Venere, hotel phoned to say they had no room on night one (of two). However, alternative accommodation arranged at nearby hotel, with complimentary breakfast offered for both nights. Problem dealt with efficiently and satisfactorily.

We liked the hotel but it was a bit pricey for our room. (Also the World Cup was going on while we were there.) The locataion was great. The first day, they barely cleaned our room. The beds were made but no new toiletries were left. A used toilet paper roll was left unchanged. The second day it was cleaned just fine. The same with the breakfast - which we had at the hotel 2 times. The first time it was a disaster - there was still well over an hour left to serve breakfast but it looked like nothing was left. When another table as for more croissants, the woman left in charge left area complete. She came back about 5 - 7 minutes later with a paper bag of pastries - as if she had to buy them down the street. There were no eggs, no joice and the milk was gone too. As long as the breakfast is being serviced, it was good (but you pay extra for the convenient location of going downstairs). Lesson - if it looks like the breakfast is missing very many items when you arrive, try some where else. Most likely it won't be replenished very quickly as you sit waiting. But otherwise the hotel was fine. I would consider staying there again.

This is a really lovely charming hotel, in an excellent area. Easy to walk into the centre of Paris or stay in the less frantic left bank. We had a great stay in a lovely, spacious room with a nice 7th floor view. Only negative point was the ear-busting noise on Saturday night of hte bar across the road (but no probs on Fri or Sun). This is a lovely hotel!

Few minor issues, but otherwise a great hotel and very central. Night staff was very helpful. You can't hear the next room, but you can hear everything from the hallway. This was a particular bonus when we overheard our neighbours having a fight over his inability to satisfy her. That more than made up for the noise. Great small rooms. Very close to the metro and lots of shops. The showers have a tendancy to go scalding hot without notice which was my only real complaint.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation. Fantastic location in the Latin Quarter, easy walking distance to everything in Paris, but the Metro is close if you choose that instead. They were happy to recommend restaurants as well. The room was a little small for two of us, but we weren't in it that much.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and personality of this hotel. Room was in slight disrepair (peeling paint), but charming. Nice bathroom. Great location, reasonable price for what you get. The free wireless was very handy. Only quibble was noise: very loud people leaving the bar across the street at closing time, and bands playing audibly even through closed windows. We would stay here again. Try the Eric Kayser bakery on Rue Monge, and the Patisserie next to the Fromagerie & Charcuterie on Boulevard Saint-Germain.

Stayed here on business, chose it because they had free Wifi internet access. One of the better 3 stars I've stayed in in Paris - friendly staff, nice rooms. I had a room facing the rue des Ecoles, and there was traffic noise at night, but this is normal for Paris. Good midprice restaurants nearby, particularly back towards the bd Saint-Germain. Value for money, recommended.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in November. Location great, we ate out as suggested by other visitors. Nice bar/restaurant just across the road, and nice cafe for breakfast next door to that. Reception staff charming. Room a little pokey and furnishings cheapish, but quite lovely really and ideal as a base. Nice bathroom, very clean. We were at the front overlooking the street, but noise wasn't a problem.

The room had maintenance problems. The air conditioning did not work. The towel heater was missing the control knob. The overhead light in the bathroom was out. The drainplug in the bathtub did not work. We stayed on the street side of the hotel and were kept up by the regular police sirens, and woken up by the trash pickup every morning. We stayed at two other places in Paris during this trip. At $160E/night, the hotel was not up to American standards, but probably was up to French standards.

Just wished the front desk told us breakfast was included in our price. We never ate there b/c when we checked in she said it wasn't. When we checked out they said it was. Hmmmm? They did accommadate our request for twins beds even though our reservation was for a double. That was nice at no extra cost.

My partner and I stayed for 1 night. The hotel is in an excellent location, right near the centre of the Latin Quarter. The hotel is on a main road, but the windows are double glazed and the sound from the street wasn't at all disturbing (though we were on the top floor). The only problem was the plumbing was somewhat noisy, so we could hear it clanking at night as people throughout the hotel used it. Otherwise, all good - very comfy bed, tea & coffee making facilites, mini bar.

We had a family room for 3 nights. Two double beds made it tricky to get to the window and the tea-making facilities though.Pleasant enough but the room was rather gloomy. Some brighter lightbulbs would have made a big difference. Breakfast adequate but nothing to write home about and expensive at 14 euros. Dining room cramped and crowded. We breakfasted out after the first day. Front desk staff friendly and helpful and greeted us by name every time we saw them. Attractive lobby. Good location for Latin Quarter and Notre Dame.
