I studiously read the reviews on here before booking - and there were some negative reports, so I was a bit anxious. I didn't have anything to worry about. The good points: location is great, right next to the Eiffel Tower. On a fairly large road but the noise was OK (and I don't suffer noise well) - our room was on 4th floor (I think). The staff were helpful enough, helped us navigate around the map. Breakfast was OK. Obviously (given the price) you're not going to get anything incredible, but I was more than satisfied with what we got for the money. The rooms were very small (this is a major European city - if you want a big room you'll have to pay for it!). Rooms were clean though and the bathroom was a decent size (and clean). If I went back on the same budget, and wanted to stay in that area, I'd stay there again. One thing I noted another reviewer had complained about was the small lift. Yes it's small - but who cares! Surely there are more important things to worry about in a hotel.

We spent one week at the Prince and were very pleased with everything. Great location close to the Metro, cafes, the market and a nice walk to the Eiffel Tower, Napoleon's tomb, the Champs Elysees. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Paris. Very friendly and helpful staff. It suited us perfectly.

hotel well located but need a serious refreshment. Old and not very welcoming. We'll never stay another time at this hotel. We'vent try the breakfast preferring a most pleasant place. Room seeming clean; Towels badly worn. Only TV set new.

Hotel desperately needs an update. Wires and pipes exposed on upper floor in hallway. Room okay and tidy. Okay for a one night stay and location good for what I needed but very disappointing considering the price of the room. Not good value for money and I would not return again.

We booked a triple room, which was totally unacceptable. The roon was right off the main lobby, too noisy. The room was also dark, dirty, bathroom ceiling had a leak and the only window looked into an alley filled with ladders and maintenance equipment. A triple should not have been advertised if this was all that was available.

Hotel was satisfactory. Surrounding area well served with restaurants. Breakfast was rather basic and expensive; a local cafe could provide similar for half the price.

The internet site offered internet service in the hotel, if not in the room. There was no such service and never has been. I made this reservation solely because of the internet service, which is necessary for my work. I had much difficulty in being able to work, having to walk blocks to an internet cafe and work. Not nice.

We had a lovely time at the Hotel Prince. The location is great if you only have a few days to explore Paris like we did. We got the know the Metro system very well! The room was small with no view but it had a bath tub, which I thoroughly needed and appreciated. The staff spoke English which was great because my French is abysmal. We didn't eat at the Hotel.

The hotel is a fairly standard 2 star hotel, nothing special but perfectly acceptable. The neighborhood has many restaurants, shops, and other amentities closeby. The hotel suffered a plumbing leak (in our bathroom!) while we were there which resulted in our having to move our room twice but the staff was very helpful and pleasant about it given the circumstances and it certainly wasn't their fault the pipe burst. They have a weird rule about not eating in your room. We probably wouldn't return to this hotel but it wasn't because the rooms were bad or the staff surly but we've stayed in 2 star hotels that were nicer.

Ideal location. 2 mins from subway. 5 mins from Rue Cler market. 5 mins from Eiffel Tower. 2 mins from two supermarkets and bakeries, cafes & restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. We stayed here for one week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A good value for money hotel. Have stayed here previously and would stay there again. The public areas are in desperate need of an uplift but the bedrooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is pretty basic but sufficient. The local bars and cafes are very overpriced even by Paris standards. However the small restaurant next door to the Hotel "7 Vin" is excellent - would thoroughly recommend it. The food is delicious and the service excellent.

The hotel was in an excellent location close to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides with a supermarket and metro stop nearby. The hotel is small and the common areas in need of some work. Our room was an ok size and the bathroom tiny as expected both were very clean. The A/C wasn't working (apparently all the individual room units weren't working) and I suspect this was a cost issue, however, we were provided with a fan. When looking at the room price in the reception at check out I noticed we were charged for a more expensive room than the room we were in. At first we were told it was because the Venere took a cut of the room charge, then that we had been put in the wrong room. The credit card transaction had already gone through and I am awaiting my credit card bill to see that we have been credited back the money for being put in a cheaper room. The staff were helpful and polite but the A/C not working and being charged extra for a room we didn't use lowered the rating for me. I also saw other 2 star hotels in the area that looked more updated and may have been better value for money

My family and I were very pleased with the central location of Hotel-Prince. There were many restaurants, bakeries, an American coffee shop, and of course the Eiffel Tower is right around the corner. The rooms are modest, but extremely clean. My family and I also liked how the doors to our room opened, and we could sit and view a tree-lined boulevard, and daily Parisian life. Our only complaint was the a/c seemed to be centrally controlled, and didn't really "cool us off" like we are accustomed to, and needed, after a long day in Paris. My husband and I had older teen girls traveling with us, and we felt safe with the girls going off on their own to the nearby restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was a valuable asset to the hotel. Hermoz helped us learn what subway stops/trains to take around Paris. He also contacted a shuttle service to get us back to the airport. The staff was very concerned with making sure we had a great time in Paris. We truly enjoyed our stay in Paris, and would gladly stay at Hotel-Prince again.

A great little hotel in a fantastic location. Staff are really helpful and friendly. We stayed for two weeks so were almost part of the furniture by the end. One major problem is noise. Squeaking floorboards and people going up and down the stairs were heard easily in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Prince Hotel. The location was excellent - close to the Eiffel Tower and an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. There were a lot of restaurants in the area and a grocery store across the street. It was a short walk from the Ecole Militaire subway station. Traffic was a little noisy but would stay there again!

We chose this hotel on the recommendation of a co-worker. The place was fine. The decor had seen better days (bizarre forest and waterfalls wallpaper on the stairs) but was kind of quirky. I liked it. They have the smallest lift in the world, but we're small ourselves and fitted into it quite well, LOL. Clean, comfortable, our room was at the back and very quiet. We stayed during a cold spell but the room was always warm. Useful supermarket just across the street and minutes walk from the tower, if that sort of thing matters to you. We only had breakfast there once, but it was an average to good buffet continental job with all the usual stuff & good value for money.

Perfectly located for access to the Eiffel Tower and surrounds, ideal for a short visit. Rooms were very spacious, but just an acceptably comfortable and with a typically small French bathroom. Helpful reception staff. No breakfast facilities, but a few cafes and ample other services nearby.

The location of the hotel (with a supermarket, metro and several cafes in the immediate area and the Eiffel Tower in walking distance) was ideal for us and the cleanliness and cosiness of the room was great too. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. The only glitch was only getting one thin-ish pillow each (and no spares when we asked) - but obviously that's fairly minor.

We found exactly what we wanted. Hotels (Prince and Tuileries) were in proximity of the sites we wanted to visit. Locations were close to the metro stations. Room sizes, facilities and services offered were adequate. Considering this is Paris the prices were also reasonable. Of course this is all relative. We were not interested in 5 star hotels. We were in Paris to visit and have fun which we did.

We had a wonderful stay at Suite Oriani! Mr. Alessandro was super nice, very accommodating and well organized. Gave us information on almost everything we needed to know to make our stay a memorable one. Gave us great recommendations on restaurants in the area. Our favorite was La Escala. We loved our room and looked forward every morning for Renata, a sweet lady that brought our breakfast to the room, what a treat! In the evening we looked forward to returning to our lovely and quiet room with two refreshing bottles of mineral water left for us every evening. We had a nice view of the garden, which made it very relaxing after a busy and crowded day in central Rome. We enjoyed every minute! Thank you again Mr. Alessandro for everything and making our stay so delightful. We hope to return soon.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even called us in the mornings to ask if we wanted to eat breakfast if we were running late and had not made it down yet. The elevator is very small and provided some difficulty with transporting bags upstairs. Some of the staff members seemed to be a little nosey, but when we asked questions they were full of answers that helped us.

It was a good stay in this hotel. The only hitch was that everytime we had to take a shower, we had to almost step over the wc. But then, this is Paris, what more can one expect. We stayed in room#103 which was a decent sized twin room that was converted into a double room. Two things rock for this hotel: firstly the location: it is a 15min walk from the eiffel tower. Anytime you leave the hotel, you can see the top of the tower in the distance. Secondly, the receptionists who do everything short of actually coming with you to the place that you ask them about. It was a pleasure to speak with them. The hotel is on a wide, safe street. Very close to Ecole Militaire metro station (you can see the name of the hotel as you come out), but doesnt give the feel of being near a station. There are a lot of restaurants close by. If you like Indian food, try "Goa" and "Punjab". You must try the mango lassi in "Goa", it was to die for. French brasseries abound, as well. I would love to stay in this hotel again.

We had an excellent stay except for one thing. The concierge forgot to give us our wake-up call the morning we were leaving (and there are no clocks or alarms in the rooms) so we would have missed our early morning flight if we didn't have a cab already scheduled. We ended up having to pay more for our cab since he had to wait for us to get ready (it's $75.00 euros from the hotel to CDG).

The Prince is a great little Parisian hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the fifth floor. If you opened the double French doors onto the balcony alot of street noise came in but when closed worked very well to keep out the traffic sounds. No curtain made taking a shower tricky. The air conditioning was centrally controlled but worked sufficiently, the beds confortable. We could see a reflection of the Eiffel Tower on the building windows across the street.A great location. We would stay here again.

This was our third trip to Paris. The other two times we stayed at more expensive hotels but this one turned out to be the best hotel of the three. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent, across the street from the Metro, with several cafes and shops close by. The Eiffel Tower is around the corner. We stayed in room 602 on the top floor which had a balcony with an amazing view. The room size was pretty good for a Paris hotel and our bathroom had a tub. We appreciated having the air conditioning since it was the end of June. For what you get, at this price, this is an excellent choice. We definitely plan on staying here again.
