We knew the room would be small, so there was no surprise and we did not come to Paris to stay in our hotel room. There are other, larger rooms in the hotel, and the people were SO incredibly nice and helpful, I would stay there again.

I got a really tiny room (the width of the room was the length of my twin bed), but that is typical for a single room in a European two-star hotel. I needed a hotel room for three days, and was much more concerned about price, quality and location. And in those three categories the PA Louvre could not be beat. It was great that there was a mini-fridge in the room, but do double-check your bill - the mini-bar system isn't very sophisticated and I got charged for a bottle of water because the one I brought in with me was the same brand as the ones in the fridge and I guess they just assumed I took it from there. It's worth saying again - the location is great for all of the museums and major sights, and my friends were amazed at the price I got. If it is important to you to have a room big enough to hang out in, you probably want to contact the hotel by e-mail to verify - very friendly and and helpful staff spoke excellent English. I would definitely stay again.

Had to fight for the better room as initial was sub-standard (unrenovated). Through out our stay NO remote control for the airconditioner was available...we were told that it was not "that hot" so we did not need it nayway....?? saving money on electricity, by not giving the working aircon. Staff did not want to call taxi on departure claiming they rarely get there during AM but we can walk to the taxi station close by ?!? Overall: GREAT locaton, but you get what you pay (cheap for Paris!)

Our room was so small that you had to turn sideways around the bed. The mirror was on the inside of the wardrobe door but you couldn't open the door fully to be able to use the mirror, because the wardrobe was so close to the bed. The air conditioning didn't work so the room was cold. When we complained when we were leaving they said if we had complained on the first night they would have moved us.

Reading all the previous comments on single rooms being very small, I actually thought it was some mistake when I opened the doors of my room. It was spacious, had a luxuriously large bath and a separate toilet. It was quiet even though right in the heart of the city. The staff was welcoming and I actually managed to use the hotel's wi-fi in my room. Great choice. I would stay there again and again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Prince Albert Louvre very much. It is a funky little place with a lot of personality. My room was very well maintained. The neighborhood could not have been better. I also enjoyed the two breakfasts I paid for -- worth the 7 euros each day, I thought. I had trouble working their rickety computer so found an internet cafe around the corner. The staff were great especially Ilan and Amid. Housekeeping could have been better at cleaning rooms up. Carpet in room feels dirty all the time. The hotel is not a non smoking hotel. We could always smell cigarette smoke early in the morning when we wake up and when we come back at night. Our towels smelled of smoke..finaly after a couple days i found out that the smoke was coming from the ventilation in the bathroom so we had to sleep with the ventilation in the bathroom on all the time..this prevents the smoke from coming into our room. My wife is pregnant so the smoke was a problem. They said they have so many cable channels but as it turned out they have only one english channel and it's bbc that reruns all day. Aside from these our stay was pretty good. Hotel is in a very good location...very good location!

This place was rated as an '8', but is only worth a '5'. I have to disagree. I have stayed in many hotels based on Venere reccommendations, and have always found the rating was appropiate. The bathroom was tiny, a pre-fabricated unit in fibreglass, and the decoration of the room is pretty dated. The place needs renovating. I would not recommend this place.

Basic hotel in a great location. Room small and a bit worn, but clean and tidy none the less. We were only staying overnight, so suited us fine, but for a longer stay we would consider staying elsewhere and getting the metro. But you cannot beat walking through the Tuileres Gardens and along the Seine just minutes after arriving, especially when you only have a few hours in the city. For breakfast we went to the excellent Pain Quotidien just round the corner in the Place de Marche St Honore.

Stayed as single traveller in a single room, excellent location, just few blocks from Louvre and other tourist locations. Good price for location, single rooms (or at least mine), are well equiped for price, but if you are staying with bulky luggage, there are no "room", it's a very small room. In sum, if you are not afraid of close spaces and looking for a very well located hotel to visit Paris and just "lay in your tired bones", well I recommend Prince Albert Louvre

Could not fault the location, it was close to everything.Avoid room 116 at all costs. The bathroom may be large, but this doesn't make up for the noise you could hear from the adjoining room and water running down the pipes from rooms above. Windows opened to see an internal space that housed aircondioning units. The weather was warm during our stay, but the aircondioner was fixed to the heat setting as for the whole building. We asked to be moved after the 2nd night to the 4th floor. Room faced the street was smaller, including bathroom, but we could now get some fresh air with the windows being open.

This hotel is set on a side street in a lovely area within walking distance of the Louvre. The gentlemen working at the front desk were all very helpful with directions, restaurants etc. Although the rooms were very small this is what one should expect in a large European city. The price was excellent for the location and the rooms very clean and quiet. There is a lift, albeit small and is only capable of transporting two people at a time, this quaint hotel is a bargain and besides just how much time do you plan on spending in the room.

Overall was disappointed with the room & hotel. I know that the rooms in european hotels are small, but this room was really small. The double bed only just fit, so to get to the otherside of the room you basically had to cross over the bed. The bathroom, if that's what you would like to call it, was no more than 4ft x 4ft & always smelled like someone was smoking in there. On our experience, we really can't recommend this hotel.

I was very pleased with my stay at Prince Albert. The hotel is in the heart of Paris, its personnel is welcoming, its prices are value-for-money and the room I stayed was comfortable, spacious and clean. When I missed my train and had to stay for one more night, the hotel personnel were very helpful in trying to find a place for me, despite there was none in their hotel. I recommend this hotel to travelers.

An excellent location for an excellent price. The Prince Albert is clean and hospitable, perfect for a short break in Paris. This is our second time in the Prince Albert, and we returned because it was clean and tidy and literally 2 minutes walk from the Jardin de Tuileries. 10mins walk to the Louvre, 10-15mins walk (stroll) to the Musee D'Orsay. An excellent central location to explore Paris.

I was in France about 12 days and stayed at Prince Albert Louvre 4 nights. While the rooms were small, the two other places I stayed also had small rooms. That is the norm. A bit more noise seemed to be evident like the elevator moving up and down and thin walls, but this didn't really bother me because I always have a sleep machine with me at all hotels. I heard no outdoor noise! Overall stay was great. Staff was very friendly and definitely tried to help out.

When I reserved our room I said I needed a room for 2 adults and a child. When we checked in we were given a double bed only and told nothing could be done for our son. He had to sleep on the floor the first night and the next day we were moved to a 3-bed room. The manager said the incident was our fault ... they/he does not read the information sent from Venere.com thus we were only given a double, for the two adults. He said this kind of thing happens a lot and we (the clients) should call the hotel to make sure all is right with the reservation. I think if this kind of thing happens often, then they (the hotel) should read the comments listed from Venere.com from the clients. Also for the first two nights our air conditioning did not work and we received a shrug of the shoulders as a response. The stay was disappointing.

The front desk staff was extraordinarily helpful. I don't like the fact that on Venere.com one has to cancel a reservation in order to modify it.

Our room was a non-smoking room, but still sheets, towels etc had a distinct smell of smoke. The room was tiny! The location in the middle of Paris compensated for size and cleanliness - that is if you want to spend yor money on activities, not accomodations while in Paris. Situated on a small side-street just two blocks upp from Rue de Rivoli and the Louvre. Quite tricky to find, even if you use a map! No disturbing noice from the street at all, but from other rooms and hallway you could hear other guests quite easily.

The location of hotel was great, all of the receptionists i ve met were helpful. the rooms are a little bit small, but i think it is a common problem and if u want to visit paris u would not need a big room...

I think this is a great hotel in terms of location and price. If you stay here, request a room AWAY from the elevator. It is incredibly loud and hard to sleep with it banging away throughout the night. The room was extremely small with almost no place to put my suitcase but that didn't really bother me, the loud noise did. The staff was really lovely!

Very good location. Easy walking distance of The Louvre and the Seine. Standard double room is very, very small and in need of some updating. We moved into a superior double, a great improvement, though still small, like most Paris hotel rooms. I would stay there again, but would opt for the superior double.

I really enjoyed my 4 night stay at the Prince Albert and would certainly return to this hotel on my next visit to Paris. The location is excellent with easy access to Metro line one, which means you can easily just travel to anywhere in Paris. The hotel is nothing fancy but it's very clean and friendly. The various reception managers were all very helpful and friendly and all spoke pretty good English, but appreciated my effort to try and speak French with them. I was lucky that I was given a double room for the price of a single. The bedroom wasn't too big but the bed was very comfortable and looked new. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower, so that was a bonus. The restaurants and bars near to this hotel are very expensive, except the little bar on the corner of the same little street is good and not expensive but you need to try and speak French if you want a warm welcome. It also closes quite early. Around the block there is also a little supermarket providing everything you need. Very handy indeed. I am reluctant to praise this hotel too much as it will probably be full next time I try and book!

Excellent location and pretty good value for money, given that location. The room was small but adequate, but the window gave the worst view I've experienced in a hotel, looking out into a small internal quad: avoid room 116! The breakfast was good for the price but fresh meat/cheese would have been nice.

An excellent value for money hotel in one of the best areas of Paris. Nothing fancy about this hotel but it is clean, friendly and comfortable in an excellent central location. Would definately stay there again on my next visit to Paris.

I have stayed in Prince Albert Louvre several times already, always in a single room. A single room is really VERY small (so if you have more that one piece of luggage, may be you better select another hotel) and the shower is small too. But I love this hotel! The staff is very friendly, they also speak a bit English, the rooms are clean, the air-conditioning is working very nicely (both if you want to warm up or cool your room). The hotel is very close to the Louvre museum and Tuileries Garden (5 min on foot) and to the underground (Metro Tuileries). And in reality, this is close to nearly everything in Paris, because Metro Tuileries is in the very centre of Paris and wherever you go with the underground it takes maximum 15-20 minutes. And it is also very convenient to return in the evening. I will for sure stay again in Prince Albert Louvre. I have also read here at Venere that people say that this hotel is difficult to find. I think, this is not at all the case. But do not use any map!!!! I want to give some tips: when you leave Metro Tuileries, position yourself so that Tuileries Garden is behind you and Rue de Rivoli is in front of you. Cross Rue de Rivoli (there is a possibility to cross at the traffic light just in front of you). Just 5 meters left from the crossing you will see the street perpendicular to Rue de Rivoli (Rue de 29th Julliet). Follow this street. In approx. 200 m you will arrive at the small crossing; do not care, but just continue straight for may be another 100-200 m. The next tiny street on the right is the street where the hotel is. That is just it!

Compared to price and excellent location, it was probably one of the best options in Paris. The room was however really tiny, the window facing an air-shaft, and the style of the room was not really my type. It was OK for now, but hopefully next time i can afford a better one.

Very little room, but it is normal in center Paris. The bathroom is too little. Cleanliness is good. The location are wonderful (near louvre, opera) to 2 minutes to Metro. I recommend to you Prince Albert if you wouldn't pay too money and stay in center to one of the most beautyfull city in the world.

We stayed for 2 nights in December and we LOVE it. The location of Price Albert Louvre is excellent where its walking distance to the subway, shopping centers as well as the famous Musee du Louvre are located just 5 mins away. The room is nice and cozy. The heater is great especially during our visit. The staff is great especially Mr Mourad.

Great location near the Louvre on a quiet street. The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the bathroom had a full shower. The only downside was that the beds were not that comfortable.

Nice hotel with a tub and shower. Reasonable bed and plenty of space to unpack your luggage and store your belongings. Nice people at the front desk and english was readily spoken. Location is good, off the beaten path but not too far from the subway station. Within walking distance of the Louvre and plenty of places to eat just down the road.

The hotel was in a great location, about 5 minutes walk from the Louvre and the river. I think this place was great value for money although the rooms desperately needed a re-vamp. However for a budget weekend trip to Paris to take in all the tourist attractions the Prince Albert was great!

Great location. Close to attractions. Friendly staff. Convenient access from Airport (Roissybus) and Metro (Tuilleries/Pyramides). Franprix in the next street (Supermarket) and cafes on the Rue de Rivoli/ Rue StHonore.
