I've never seen a staircase as dirty, narrow, steep and badly ruined in a hotel. Even a 1 star hotel is better ....

The location is perfect. But the hotel is a little bit difficult to simply find, even well located in the middle of the city, since no name outside of the little building exists. But if you look carefully at the address number you will read just "HOTEL" in black: that is the place! Reaching the room was really hard, because of the very little, and old spiral staircase (no suitcasea, backpack would be ideal: imagine to climb a mountain!!!!). Important thing not to forget: take with you the telephone number if the hotel, because the night man that should open the door for you in the night does not always listen to the ring bell. Once you know all this necessary things, you will accept every little discomfort and you will love the magic of the typical building!!

The principle problem is that the hotel misrepresents itself as an art hotel whereas it is cheap hotel which has been very badly renovated. The dirty glass door leads to single dark dirty single corridor to the reception area - a desk IT HAS NO LIFT. THE STAIRS ARE STEEP, DANGEROUS, RUN DOWN AND IN MAJOR NEED OF RENOVATION. The room was badly finished - broken basin surround, broken skirting board, piece of card under a leg of the desk to stop it rocking, wall paper not joining.

This hotel has the best location, ESPECIALLY for the price. the staff are really nice. It's got good clean rooms and that are a little larger than usual even. However BEWARE it has the steepest narrowest stairs I've ever seen. I'm a fit 29 year old girl that is used to lots of stairs but even these made me a little scared. If you're not a young person with good knees and good balance, maybe think twice. but if you are good with stairs -- this is definitely the best value hotel I've ever stayed at. :)

Hotel in the Marais Area directly at the Underground-Station St. Pauls. Extremly small rooms.

The Hotel is very well located. All major attractions are within easy reach, but if you need to take the Metro, St Paul Station is literally 10 meters away from the hotel entrance. The room was nice, very quiet and clean. The bathroom was small but clean, the only down side to it was that there wasn't enough shower gel. Breakfast was good. There was a selection of cereals, milk, coffee, tea, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, sausages, cakes etc. The price was very reasonable, only 8 euros. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

sorry, but door handle in the bathroom not suppose to stay in your arm after you closing the door, as for renovation mentioned in description, looks like it still goes on. Put some colorful stickers on the old wallpapers does not mean "renovation", gap between ceiling and plastic water pipe filled with the paper, doors are slimmer than you can imagine and no sound isolation at all. wifi is only thing that worked without any problems.

My room was tiny but clean. Staff is friendly. Spiral stairs are very narrow and tricky. Not recommended for anyone with limitations or lots of baggage. Good location right in front of St. Paul Metro stop.

The air conditioning didn't work. that's a big problem especially this summer is warm. The wifi doesn't work in 5th and 6th floor, which the ownder should state clearly on its website. Finally I got a room without air conditioning and wifi, and it doesn't fit its price anymore.

The hotel is new renovation therefore the room is very clean and very good condition. Wireless internet is free and good. The location is very good and busy , just opposite the metro station.

Get ready to haul your bags up flights of very narrow stairs with NO elevator. Air conditioning did not work in our room and the windows look directly into other rooms affording no privacy. No curtains on bathroom windows allow all to watch you as you attempt to shower. The hotel did deduct $40 for the broken a/c.

Nicely located in the Marais area of Paris and just in front of a Metro station. The street is very busy and night (restaurants, bars...) but the level of noise was acceptable. My room for 2 was small (even by the standards of Paris) and low quality overall (not the impression you get from the pictures). The staircase is very difficult to use (I was on the 6th floor and there is no lift). The air conditioning did not work in my room (and the temperature was more than 27 degrees...) but I was offered a (reasonable) discount. The Wifi did not work either. Not worth the normal price (or the price I book it for, 110 euros a night) in my opinion.
