Hotel staff was very helpful. Great location right by Luxembourg Gardens, and on a quiet street so you're not dealing with the noise experienced at other hotels on the main roads.

This modest hotel around the corner from the Jardin du Luxembourg was perfect for a winter vacation: a small, cozy room with abundant heat and hot water; restaurants within walking distance; and staff who couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. However, it would benefit from sprucing up a little with new or cleaned carpeting, fresh wallpaper and maybe a few pictures on the walls. But the bed sheets and bathroom were scrupulously clean, with excellent water pressure in the shower.

We stayed in Paris for 3 nights and could not have received more assistance in making our stay wonderful from the entire staff at Hotel Perreyve. Very central location and easy walk to the Seine coming out between the bridge to the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. Easy Metro access to anywhere just blocks away.

Nice location beside Luxembourg Gardens. Hotel very nice, staff very helpful. I had borrowed a friends bicycle and they helpfully stored it in the basement at night time. Room was very clean and I would recommend this hotel for a nice stay on the Left Bank.

Quiet area near the Luxembourg garden. Not far to the Metro. Accross the street is "Bread and Roses" a delightful eating place.

....THE POSITIVES: The location was fantastic, right next to Jardin de Luxemburg which was great. The price for the location was good as well ....THE NEGATIVES: 1. Once you commit to your reservation, only then did Venere tell me that my reservation wouldn't be confirmed until as late as the day before i was due to arrive. 2. The Venere website quoted me in Sterling and led me to believe that i would be paying upfront (which is good - no exchange rates etc) They said 'we will not take any money until your reservation is confirmed', i then got a confirmation email only to find that i have to pay when i leave the hotel so I had to not only pay to change over money for the room but they ALSO charged me more than the quoted amount and put taxes on top. 3. the hotel might have looked nice from teh outside, i couldn't tell as it was covered in scaffolding, the inside is beling re decorated and smelt of paint and had workmen there and we had builders ladders and walking boards etc outside our only window not only blocking any view but which was noisy and meant we couldn't even ventilate our room for fear of people climbing up the 2 floors (easily) into our room. (this was of course NOT mentioned at the time of booking) 4. there's a radio built into the desk in the room which didn't work 5. i ordered a double bed (it was a romantic weekend), and recieved two singles pushed together each with single bed sheeting making it almost impossible to use as a double ....CONCLUSION: I highly recommend the location next time i'll pay more to open my window, sleep in a DOUBLE bed, get a view and will use a different website when i get the price i'm quoted.

Very little hotel. The bed was nos a double bed but two single beds. The walls are paper coated and not exactly clean. Had small balcony, tv. The bathtub had no shower curtain, so you can get the bathroom a little wet.

This hotel was better (beautiful old building, in a good condition) than many other hotels in this price range in the centre of Paris. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the stay was enjoyable!

I have stayed in Paris at many hotels over thirty years. The room I had was uncomfortably small for two people. Only emenities in the bathroom was one tiny bar of soap. Walls were heavily scratched and marked. Very little storage people. Front desk was very helpful. Would stay again if on a severe budget.

Hotel Perreyve is in an excellent location on the left bank, one block from Luxembourg Gardens, and close to subway. Our disappointment was with the first floor storefront room we were given. Its location at street level required the large windows, that did not open, be covered at all times with drapes making for dark quarters and no view to the outdoors. Carpets and appointments needed cleaning.

Dirty carpet and wall paper, with brown dripping stains on both. No hot water. Musty smell. Tiny room. Elevator inadequate.

Excellent location, quiet and clean, with a friendly and helpful staff. Convenient small grocery store across the street. The only complaint: Internet terminal provided, but 2€ for a half hour seemed a little steep.

The staff here is extremely nice and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Not much street life either day or night, but Luxembourg Gardens are just down the steet, also its walking distance to St. Germain, Latin Quarter and shopping Blvds, Bon Marche stores, Metro stops, etc. The room we stayed in was a bit worn, but was immaculately kept and supplied with fresh towels and sheets each day. Tons of heat and hot water. The cafe au lait at breakfast is very good.

Although the rooms were small, the hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful (in fact we found most Parisians a lot more pleasant than their reputation). The location near the Luxembourg Gardens was excellent and the area had a real Parisian feel.

Staff friendly, good location - jardin du luxembourg just around the corner, bread&roses bakery across the street, metrostation in walking distance, but rooms are sparse with no ambience at all. OK to spend the night, nothing more or less.

The location of the hotel is the best possible and the single room price of 95 euros is quite moderate even if the room standard is not very high. In my bathroom the shelf above the washbasin had been demolished and no restoration had been done. This, together with the poor tables in the breakfastroom, gave a bad impression. But the staff was nice and helpful.

The hotel was very mixed. The initial welcome we received was poor; the receptionist almost rude. However the night receptionist who checked us out was very pleasant. The room was very small as were the beds. The bathroom clean but the shower was almost unusable. The toilet between reception and the dining room was dirty. Had we seen it before breakfast we would not have eaten there ( particularly as we suspected the kitchen staff probably used it). We would have been happy to pay more for a more substantial breakfast though, before seeing the toilet! The property was on the whole clean (except afore mentioned toilet)Paris was wonderful and the hotel's location excellent. We are planning a return journey at the end of the summer but will not be choosing this hotel.

An authentic charming Parisian hotel. I’ve appreciate staying in it very much. There is such a nice brasserie in front of it - “Bread & Roses”. And Jardin de Luxembourg is just around the corner.

This hotel is nice place to revisit again. Anyway, for the summer, we might need air condition instead of openning window which is too close to the street.

Location is good, except garbage trucks in the morning. Not a good value for many. Should be 25% less expensive.
