Good location , but some little things could make the hotel beter , such as a few more pillows , a new carpet and new paint on the door. The bathroom was clean but the hot water was not enough.

Staff appeared totally uninterested in customer service. We had been attracted to area by Google reference, but the actual hotel was a dsigrace. Cleanliness of the room on arrival, condition of bedding (mattress had broken springs) and overall attention to detail grossly inadequate. Workmen arrived, unannounced while we were resting after our arrival (following 24 hr flight from Australia) and proceeded to install a digital tv set on the bedroom wall, whilst my partner was attempting to sleep. in my 69 years, by far the worst hotel I have booked into. Leave well alone. First and definitely the last time.

Great position. Although the room was very small, it was generally clean, as was the bathroom. Sheets + towels clean and replaced daily. BUT the blankets, covers, carpets were dirty. Blind at the window did not work. Lampshade was missing. Bin in the bathroom was broken, etc. Awful synthetic 'perfume'in reception trying to mask something even worse, perhaps?

The hotel is located in a nice pitoresque quarter , very "parisien". Lots of cafes, restaurants, a market in the nearby street. Short distance to the metrostation, or just a 2 km walk to arc de triomphe. We would stay there again.

Staff very polite and helpful; location excellent; value for money; room a bit small - typical Paris; only 5 TV chaneles (all french). Definitely will stay there again.

Had 4 nights in Paris recently and hotel lived up to the good reviews on the Venere website - although a smallish room (expected in Paris)the bathroom was large, and overall the daily sevice was excellent. The area this hotel is in was also good - a selection of bars and restaurants on the nighttime and during the day a lively street with a variety of shops (including a supermarket), with street stalls of produce, including fresh fruit/veg and food - we bought made-up baguettes to take out with us every day, rather than buy food in the centre of Paris. The general location was excellent - half way between Montmatre and Arc de Triomph, which we walked to (both just over a mile away), but the closest Metro station (Villiers) is just 100 metres away at the bottom of the street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to go to Paris.

Excelent location, between l'Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre. Clean room and nice receptionists. Nearby there is a supermarket - Monoprix and some nice bars where you can drink your cafe in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.

It was the first time in Pavillon Villiers Etoile. Good standard for 3 stars in Paris. Small room, but in Paris I found also smaller rooms. Cleanliness was good and carpets were no bad smelling (as I found often in Paris). Place absolutely quiet. Metro at 250-300 meters roughly.

The area that the Hotel is located in is excellent. If you want to experience a real Parisian residential area, and the goings on, the 17th er is perfect. On Fridays just around the corner from the Hotel is a great street market - do as the locals do, go to the local bar for a drink, turn your chair out towards the street and watch the goings on! Its also close to the Metro so getting to all tourist sights is easy.

The hotel did "exactly what it says on the tin". Great location - good bars & restaurants nearby, without feeling that we were in a 'rip-off' tourist area. Short walk to livelier districts like Montmartre & Pigalle, and very good for Metro and sights beyond. Contrary to other reviewers I found the staff friendly & helpful, though we did return at one point to find that our door had been left unlocked after cleaning. Not a problem for us as years of travelling mean we never leave valuables in room anyway, but could be seen as problem for others. Would stay again & would recommend

I was very surprised to walk into the room and find a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and hob as there was no information about this on the website (there were also lots of pots, pans and crockery). This is a great thing if you are staying in Paris on a budget as there's a monoprix, a pretty decent supermarket nearby. The room was very small, as was the bathroom and the shower, although according the the plan of the hotel it seemed that my room was smaller than the others. The bed was a made-up sofa bed which I found a bit strange but it was comfortable enough. It was very clean and the staff were friendly they speak both French and English. Also, the location was great, on a quiet backstreet a few minutes walk from cafes and Villiers metro station. Great hotel if on a budget and not expecting much luxury!

The Hotel was in an excellent location & was very quiet. Good access to Metro/local shops etc. We chose this one because it advertised parking. This turned out to be a Privately owned garage down the road at an extra cost of E15 per night. This info. needs diaplaying on web page. Other good info to have would be cost of breakfast E11 per person. Staff O.K. but not very communicative. Room very small & other guest's converastions could be clearly heard from their rooms into ours. No air conditioning. We would stay there again but only because of the location & area.

The cleanliness of the rooms was good. The breakfast provided was good. My only complaints are that photographs of rooms shown on your web page did not match the decor of the actual rooms. We also notified the desk on the night of our arrival that the pay TV was not working but it was not fixed at all.
