My room was at ground floor, nothing special. While checking out, they did not know the applicable room rate and whether breakfast was included or not. Quite a "light" breakfast

Excellent location (just near Champs Elysee). A good, clean, quiet hotel with spacious rooms. Definetly a nice surprise for me and the best price/quality ratio.

I enjoyed this hotel very much. It was quiet and had a friendly staff. The size of the room wasn't bad for Paris. When you compare the location of this hotel with the price it was excellent value to price ratio. If you are looking for expensive extravagant elegance stay at the Plaza Athenee. The breakfast was very nice. I would stay here again.

It is pretty quiet as you do not hear the noise of the street too much, on the other hand the doors are very noisy when you shut them and you hear your neighbour too much. But as a whole this is a good hotel.

oh my gosh, this place was TERRIBLE. The room was so small that I could barely move around, the sheets were not clean, there was a large party of other guests who were extremely loud in their rooms, in the hall, in the common area.

Is advertised as a hotel, but I would say it is more like a UK bed and breakfast. Staff were friendly and spoke English and could offer recommended places to eat locally. The external facia of the building is in need of re-paint as it does not look all that inviting on first impressions. The room itself was basic but spacious, but the bathroom had no shower curtain so the room instantly became flooded on use. Found that the pillows were not substantial enough and did ask for extra ones but none were forthcoming. Admittedly the prices are a lot cheaper than the closely situated Champs Elysees hotels but we did not fell we got true value for the £112 per night for what was basically a B+B.

Hotel Pavillon Montaigne was in a good location just a 5 min walk from the Champs Elysses which is especially good if you are in the city for the Paris Marathon as we were. The hotel was clean but the room we had was very very small, with just enough room to get round the bed. Our friends had a twin room and that was bigger so it may be worth checking when booking. Breakfast was expensive and uninspiring but we found a modern boulangerie just up the road - turn left as you come out of the hotel and its just up that road on a corner - great for coffee and croissants in the morning. Overall hotel was clean and in a good location but had small rooms and was expensive. You would normally expect a lot more for your money in any other city but then again this is Paris!

We stayed at the Pavillon Montaigne for four nights in October 2007. The hotel is good value for the price. It is not grand by any means, but clean quiet and comfortable. Good location- about a 5-10 minute walk from the Champs Elysee, and about 5 minutes from a Metro stop

We had a very pleasant stay mostly due to the hotel staff, facilities, and location. The points to improve we would mention: the smell of smoking in the room (although that was very common everywhere because everybody smoked a lot). The bath tube was difficult to walk in and very slipery (a couple of handles would help).

WE ARRIVED AT HOTEL AFTER FOLLOWING THE EASY AND CONCISE DIRECTIONS--FOR ONCE WE ACTUALLY DID NOT GET LOST. WE WERE RETURNING TO PARIS FOLLOWING A 12 DAY RICK STEVES TOUR AND ONE OTHER COUPLE CAME WITH US AS THEIR HOTEL FOR THE NIGHT WAS AT CHARLES DE GALLE AIRPORT BUT THEY HAD SIGHTS THEY WANTED TO SEE IN PARIS; THE HOTEL MANAGER GRACIOUSLY ALLOWED THEM TO LEAVE THEIR LUGGAGE AT THE HOTEL EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT STAYING THERE. WE WERE GIVEN A SUITE WHICH WE DID NOT EXPECT AND WAS QUITE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY SPACIOUS. GREAT PLACE!!!

This hotel should be rated as a 2*. It was small and very old. The room also smelled and was damp. One of the concierge was clueless. We asked for a wakeup call the day we were supposed to fly out and good thing we double checked with another concierge otherwise we would not have got a wakeup call and we would have missed our flight. The location of the hotel was ok. However there were not a lot of restaurants around or cafes. It was about a 10-12 minute walk to Champs Elysees. I would not recommend this hotel.

The only negative comment I can give is you could here bathroom noises very badly between rooms, certainly our room which was on the 3rd floor. Also when we arrived they said breakfast wasn't included but on your site breakfast is included, however there was no fuss the gentleman said that was okay we could have breakfast, which was excellent.

The internet was not provided as promised. they had problem with the connection and they did not seem to worry that much about it. I met an old friend accidently and he had his room for 70 euro while I had it for 90. overall, it's not that bad place to stay at. next time when I come to Paris I stay in it if they offer a lower price.

This was our first visit to France and Paris, and we enjoyed it very much. Especially since this hotel is located in the heart of the "city of lights". The location of the hotel makes it possible to walk to the most important sights for a first time visitor. When we arrived at the hotel (which is easy to find from the descriptions on venere.com), we were met by a firm non-greating lady, who did not seem very helpful at all. We were suprised by that since most comments made about the staff here were positive. She gave us a very small room, were we would not have had enough space for our luggage... We asked to get another room, and got nr. 44. Allthough the elevator (which is small, extremely small) stopped at the third floor and we had to walk a few stairs, we did not mind. Nr. 44 was spacious and beautiful. The lady who met us at arrival was the only member of staff that we met who was not very helpful, everyone else was kind, helpful and in a much better mood. Some of the pictures on this site are not telling the whole story. The one that we are especially thinking of is the one showing the breakfasttable outside, and that would not affect your stay in one of the hotel's rooms. We payed 90 Euro per night, which is a very good price for this hotel (the door to our room stated that normal fare would be 160 plus 8 Euros for the breakfast, which is included when you make your reservation here).

Staff speaks English and helpful. Rooms are exactly as shown on venere.com website. There is a security guard on site 24-7 for a high end restaurant 2 blocks down same street. Location is within reasonable walking distance to Champ Elysee. Will recommend friends to stay at same hotel for future visits. FYI, if interested in taking 2-day open deck tour bus, choose the "Green Tour Bus", not the "Red Tour Bus" (much better value and hotel originally recommend "Red One"). Buy the multiple day Metro ticket that can also use to return to CDG airport. Elevator will fit 2 people plus 2 luggage and will be turn off from 10pm to 6am daily for security reason.

This was my first stay at the hotel. The staff are very welcoming and the hotel is situated very near to the champs and is surrounded with restaurants, take aways and bakeries. The only fallback the hotel has is that you hear everything when your neighbor is in the toilet. Other than that it's very quiet. I'll stay there again.
