Very convenient location near Gares du Nord and de l'Est. Some useful shops nearby as well as places to have breakfast. Sadly the sound insulation is poor; we could hear people in neighbouring rooms drawing their curtains. Thankfully, they didn't do anything else.

Excellent location near the Gare Nord and Est train stations. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The area around the Gare Nord train station is extremely dodgy, nubby, seedy or whatever you prefer to call it, but the hotel was a few blocks away and relatively safe. Stay away from the Nord Station. The staff was very friendly, but English was a bit of a challenge for several. Our room was in the back, older section of the hotel but it was fine. It appeared to have been upgraded, with a nice television, new bathroom and AC. Everything worked well and there was plenty of space in our double room. They give you only one WIFI access code so you have to share your device. Adding a second device cost a couple of Euros, so no big deal there. Overall I recommend it for a short stay if you're OK with a 2.5 star hotel for a fair price.

I've been to Paris many times and in this hotel I've found almost the same service of a four stars hotel. Staff is competent and very friendly. From Gare de l'est station ( about 200 metres from the hotel ) you will reach every place in Paris in a easy way. The hotel isn't on the main street so is very quiet. The price is reasonable and the relationship between price and quality is excellent! Probably, I'll come back here next time!

All Paris hotels tend to be a total rip off - so for a single overnight before a meeting this was just about acceptable as it was 'cheap' and close to two main railway termini. The surroundings are not great, service zilch, my room was in an annex and on the fourth floor with no lift, the door was jammed and the bathroom floor flooded when you flush the loo... But for what I paid, that's probably almost 'value' in Paris.

The hotel corresponds exactly to the descriptions of other guests. There was a sort of noise coming from the métro but it was not important und I slept very well. When I reserved the hotel I asked for a quiet room and the staff respected my wish. We had a room situated to the courtyard.

I would not recommend this hotel. The floor carpet smells so bad that it makes the entire experience awful. We had to sleep with windows open most of the night because of it and suffer the noise coming from the loud African restaurant across the street. Breakfast is OK for price. Would never go back.

We stayed in a triple room. Facilities are just basic but the hotel ambience and rooms/toilet are presentable and kept clean. Although surrounding areas are a bit shady, just need to exercise caution (no late nites) and you would be ok. Nearness to Gare du Nord and Gare d' Lest are plus points for access to public transport, eat outs and shopping.

The hotel is in an excellent location as it's close to both the Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est stations. The staff were pleasant, the continental breakfast buffet was good value and there's a nice lounge between the breakfast room and the reception area. I've stayed in this part of Paris a number of times now and find it an ideal base for getting around the city.

We stayed three nights. The bed creaked so badly when we turned in bed that on the second night we put the mattress on the floor. We found that the base of the bed was broken and for the third night we moved rooms. The staff clearly knew that the bed was a problem but no discount was offered. Breakfast was OK but the bread rolls were rubbery. We opted to have breakfast nearby for a very similar price. Not the best stay we have had in Paris but it was very convenient for Eurostar.

as barely all paris hotels, do not expect a high quality furniture or anyway room. this said, the location is just great (inbetween gare di nord and gare de l'est, walking distance from both) so it's perfect if you have a train to catch or a plane (good train connection to the airport). breakfast was nice, both salty and sweet things. nice staff. so just don't expect a mini bar or other optionals.

The cleanliness and quality of the facility can be noted by the stained carpets, poor workmanship on the renovations made on the rooms and we actually got bitten by bedbugs in our room. The shower/tub facility is so inconvenient to use - no actual door to it except a glass partition that is wobbly if you hold on to it. Not worth the money we paid for.

The most important thing about cheap parisian hotels is adjustment of your expectations: small, but clean, room; small elevator; continental breakfast. Other then that you get a very good deal - proximity to metro and Gare du Nord, there is covered market 100m from the hotel and overall area is nice.

This hotel is close to Gare du North with its access to Charles De Gaul airport (eur 8.40 each way). It took about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. The staff was english friendly as my french is very basic. The staff was very helpful in a number of ways. even though there is an elevator in this 5 floor property, there are still about 6 steps to navigate once you exit the elevator. Everything was clean and neat in this hotel - I would recommend this hotel.

The room and bath room were recently renovated. It is bright and quiet room facing the courtyard. Nice and clean bath room. No air-conditioning, uncomfortable on hot nights, have to sleep with windows wide opened. Well located near train stations, 5 minutes walk to Gare L'Est station. Internet cafe is only a few metres away, along the same street. Many cafes and restaurants near by. Indoor market across the road is very good, with varieties of cheese, pastries, fruits etc. Not the most attractive neighbourhood, but feel safe walking during day time. As usual, have to exercise caution when walking late at night. Did not experience any troubles. Satisfied with the stay at the Hotel and would consider come back again.

We (three persons, age around 30) had a room for three people for three nights. For a hotel room I think it was pretty spacious (you could walk around). It even had a desk, television, two chairs and a closet to put your clothes in. The bathroom was pretty clean, it could do with a new lick of paint, but we don't bother. The shower was good. We had room 214, 1st floor, on the courtyard. No traffic noise! But if you got noisy (upstairs?) neighbours, getting up early in the morning you could hear some feet going past your ceiling. Apart from that we all slept pretty well. The beds were clean, kind of stiff matrasses. The small courtyard looked kind of nice to hang around, but had no time. Most of the time there was nobody there. We came from the Netherlands by Thalys to Gare du Nord and it was a 10 minute walk (great!). The nearest subway is at Gare de L'est, 5 min. walk. The neighbourhood was at the time of our stay pretty quiet. Typical western European train station neighbourhoods. Lot of cheap eateries. Never felt unsafe, not even in the middle of the night. My wife loved the small, simple but sufficient indoor food market across the street of the hotel (french cheese!).

Vacanza splendida. Sonia

The hotel is situated in a side street near gare du nord. Location was great, there was ample resteraunts only minutes away offering excellent value for money, we had difficulty choosing where to eat each night. Across the road from the hotel is an large indoor market. The hotel room was clean, though thought could be given to the colour scheme, abit mismatched colours. There was no airconditioning which was ok as it was october, but i would imagine in the summer it would be stiffling hot, and if the french doors were opened the noise from the traffic would make it impossible to sleep. The breakfast is not included in the price, it is 6 euros. It was good value for money, self service with tea, coffee, orange juice, croissents and jams, bagettes and cheese, cornflakes, apples and cake. The location was great, just minutes away from gare du nord station and the french people were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers value for money and i would use this hotel if i returned to paris.

I ended up choosing Parisiana because the Venere description said the rooms had a mimi bar. The rooms DO NOT have a minni bar. I was told by the hotel manager I could keep my things in the kitchen's refrigerator. When I asked to do so, I was told by the night clerk there was no room. The day before I left I asked the night clerk for a wake up call. I never got the wake up call. I could have missed my plane. Luckily I was already awake. The hotel is close to 2 train stations and several supermarkets which makes the location convenient. It also offers a basic breakfast which is also convenient.

We stayed at Hotel Parisiana 2nd to 4th June 2006. Having read the positive reviews on the website, we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, the room was quite disappointing - a small room under the roof on the 4th floor, no lifts available + felt, it was a bit of a firetrap. The room was very run down with old sheets and towels. The staff was friendly, but overall the hotel was very uninspiring. The location of the hotel is convenient, if travelling on the Eurostar, but the Gare de Nord area isn't particularly exciting. As Paris is easy to get around, we would not chose to stay in the area again.

A real good location to discover Paris. We got a quiet and clean triple-room in the back-building, perfect! The breakfast-buffet(6 Euro)was nice. We were very pleased.

Very good value for money in Paris. Clean, quiet rooms about 10 mins walk from Gard du Nord for Eurostar. Walkable to central Paris, or convenient metros.

Overall the hotel was good value for money and the rooms were clean and very pleasant for a 2 star hotel. The location was also quite good due to the Gare du Nord station with the airport train access was within a walking distance even with luggage. However, I did not appreciate that when checking in, we first had to wait for our room clearly longer than what was specified as the official check-in time and after that we got about the noisiest room on the first floor on the street side. It is quite difficult for me to believe that this was the only free double room that we first had to wait longer than we should have. Also the sound-proofness of at least that room was just bad. One night there was difficulties sleeping because in the next room some French couple, who had clearly mistaken the hotel room for some bar, had to keep up some noisy conversation about the whole night. But even after these downsides I was overall happy about the hotel selection.

Good hotel in a rather quiet street very close to Gare de'l Est and Gare du Nord. Excellent connections to the city. The street is a bit shabby. Rooms are noisy and not too big, but bathroom is spacious and modern. The hotel is not very clean but ok, staff is helpful and english-speaking.

The hotel is very near the Eurostar train station (Gare du Nord) and is withn easy reach of the metro. There are many convenient stores and small food shops nearby, which are only closed on Sundays. The hotel offers a good value for money.

We were 3 girls sharing a triple room. We found the room very spacious and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Did not use breakfast area, so don't know what that was like. Definately using it again.

EXCELLENT PROPERTY! We loved the room and the neighborhood. WE had a triple for 78 Euro in Feb . My only objection was that breakfast was not included , they wanted 6 euro per person for Breakfast, so at 18 Euro that was extremely expensive. The breakfast looked good with meats and cheeses, crosissants, rolls, cereals, breads and more. That was my only dissapointment. The neighborhood has a self serve laundry, internet cafe, cafe, patisserie, dollar stores, and supermarket all on the block, with lots of children around. Very safe. within 4 blocks of Gared Du Nord and less to Gare du Est. Also very close to 3-4 metro stations. All windows double paned and DOUBLE WINDOWS. No outside noise at all. Room were also very quiet with the other rooms. Beware though - No lift for people or luggage. Luckily we locked 4 pieces of luggage at the Gare Du Nord or else we would have had to make many trips up the stairs. We will definately stay again, but woudl request that the breakfast be included in the price.

Some rooms were better than others - but beds were comfy, rooms were warm and shower was hot. When the hotel is full there can be a scramble for the breakfast - so get up early! The area is not wonderful but the location is great for metro and trains - excellent if you don't want to cart your luggage around the city. The baggage room is a bonus and the secluded courtyard is lovely. The staff at reception were excellent. For the money - this is an excellent hotel.

The location was very convenient for anyone arriving at the Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est, and also for going everywhere on the Metro. Just not the most pleasant area late at night for a woman alone. My room on the top floor was very spacious and there was a lift almost all the way (just steps for half a floor) There was a trouser press which is not much use to a woman who wears mainly dresses and skirts, I would rather have had a fridge. Also like in most hotels the wardrobe was not tall enough so the bottoms of my dresses hung on the floor and got crumpled and the few coathangers there were (not half enough) were the sort with no hooks so you could not hang things anywhere else. I think all hotel rooms are designed by and for men. The room was quiet with the double-glazed windows shut, but in the summer it might be hot (no air conditioning) and with the window open it could be noisy. The breakfast was very good by French standards, buffet so you could have as much as you wanted of everything. But overall it was a good value hotel in a convenient location.

This was our first trip to Paris with a family of four. Without knowing anything about Paris, other than what I read on this and other web sites, the Parisiana looked like as reasonably priced hotel as we could find in August. The young lady at the desk was very helpful despite them not having our reservations on file. She took my copy and got us our rooms. The hotel is a clean, basic two star hotel. Our rooms were on the third floor and there is no lift. The rooms are very basic but clean. We had our own bathroom with a normal size shower. The hotel has a nice, quiet courtyard area where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast is very basic with crossants, yogurt, ceral, coffee and juices. The hotel is in a good location for either walking to sites or taking public transportation. The hotel street is a small, quiet street just off of a main street. There is a good bakery across the street and seveal good restaurants a short walk away. As with most people visiting Paris, we were only in our rooms to sleep. With that in mind, the hotel was great for our needs. I would recommend it as long as you know up front it is a clean two star hotel.

english: The location, near Gare du Nord en Gare du l'Est was excellent, only a few minutes walking. Breakfast was fine, but at Sunday is was extremely busy and there was not enough food and not enough employees, you had to clean your own table before sitting. You could sit privately on the little square between the 2 buildings. Having 2 rooms, we noticed that one room need refurbishment and the other one was brand new. The price and quality corresponded well. nederlands: De plek van dit hotel was super.

The room was very small but adequate. The buffet breakfast was quite delicious. The staff spoke excellent English. It was great being able to leave our luggage in their special secure room while we continued to explore Paris on our last day. Overall a lovely small hotel which I would book into again.

We were lucky because while we were in the area which needed re-furbishment so it was a bit scruffy we were in the back building which was quiet. The breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Near 2 metro stations; Gard du Nord (also trains) and Gard l'est. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Were able to leave luggage in locked cupboard until we left on last day. An excellent stay.

This is exactly as I expected. Not four star but very adequate. Most of the staff were very helpful and going out of their way to find information if they didn't know the answers. Our housecleaning maid did not even take the tip money we left out for her. After a few days we personally gave her all of the tip money. We also enjoyed our first time visit to Paris. My wife, daughter and her two friends.

Stayed 3 nights, will definitely re-book when next in Paris. Hotel is situated centrally between North and East Station - probably less than 5 mins walk from either. This is only 2 star, so you would only normally expect to get what you pay for. In this case, I would say pound for pound, you won't get better value at these prices. Breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of cereal, croissants, french bread, cheeses, jams etc and serve tea and coffee with gorgeous hot milk! (they also have tetley T-Bags which helped). Lady on the desk was brill if you needed directions, taxis, or tables booking. Rooms were basic, but very spacious compared to 2 star London. Our bathroom looked like it had just been re-tiled and was very clean with loads of hot water. The only down side was that they allowed smoking in the hotel and consequently the corridors and room smelt a bit musty. Baggage room in reception was very useful as it allowed us to spend our last day until tea-time bags free! Little Gem!
