We stayed here for only one night, but I think still I can put comments on some issues. In terms of value for money it is perfect. The staff are quite helpful and the people at the reception know English quite well. The hotel is 8 minutes walk from the metro. However, there is not that much attraction in walking distance of the hotel, and the area is not that nice though we have not been out till late that night. The breakfast is not that generous, and there are not many options but still I think it is worth for 7 Euro.

I am very impressed with the hotel location and service they provided during my stay. Only small problem with the room heaters. They should inform if there is any issue before we raise a issue to them. Over all I will give 6 out of 10

This hotel was perfect for what we needed as a couple, one night in Paris. The room was tiny, a bit worn but very clean. Only found English speaking stations on the television. We had breakfast at the hotel but was only informed of the price when checking out. The breakfast was not very good value for money but if you don't have much time in the morning it will work. Simple offering of bread, croissant, coffee, cheese, ham, cereal and juice for 7 Euro per person. If you have the time then go to one of the many patissieries in close proximity. Enjoyed lunch at the Indian restaurant a few doors back. We didn't use the metro but saw the signs very close by. Had a good stroll in the late evening without much worries but while the hotel is close to many restaurants, it is not very close to Paris' major sights. For us it was a great place for one night, I don't think we would have been as happy over a longer stay. Staff was helpful, but it felt like the male attendant tended to be a bit abrupt though not rude.

Hotel Paris Villette is exactly what you pay for. A decent priced room far outside the city center. Even though its not close to center city Paris, it is close to the metro station and with the staff's direction, is easy to navigate around Paris. Only downfall is there is no air conditioning, so our first night when it was 95 degrees outside, it was unbearable in our room. Also, there was construction going on across the street during our entire stay, and since it was hot in our room, we had to keep our windows open at night, thus hearing the noise. All in all, we were very happy with our stay. Fresh towels, a spacious room (for Paris!), and an unbeatable price. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Overall a nice hotel, albeit in a very "ethnic" environment. It is conveniently located (metro 10 minutes away on foot), nice restaurants around. Missing air conditioning, maybe because my room was exposed to the sun all day.

Good quality for this price, if you want to visit Paris I would recommend this property. Not so far from Metro, just 10 -15 mins to Louvre. Quiet place for sleep and surrounding area is not so expensive to buy some food.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to help with directions, restaurant choices, and our French grammar. The room was basic but for the price it had everything you would need (except for an alarm clock). The shower might take a bit of adjusting to if you've never showered in a European bath without a mount for the shower head. Considering that the only purpose of the room was the sleep and shower, I really can't complain.

The professional, multilingual and experienced woman at the front desk (her name was Franciose)belongs at a 5 star Ritz and not this horrid, 1 star, mildew and mold ridden entire building in a crappy area of Paris. If the smell of mold and mildew doesn't get you, the gallons of stinky chemicals maids use to mask it will! Forget opening a window because of the street noise on one side and the alleyway traffic on the other...arrrrrgggghhhhhh! Our only bad stay the entire trip in 4 countries!

Location/Surroundings- Metro within walking distance. Supermarket is nearby which is convenient and economical way for budget travelers, especially necessity like water (or wine) can be 4 times more expensive in a restaurant. A number of middle eastern pastry stores serving good desserts and coffee. Around also some asian (chinese/thai) restaurants. Few brasseries on main street around Metro entrance. Hotel- Provide free internet service on lobby. Staff is friendly and speak English. Breakfast is available for a fee but we did not try since there are so many pastry stores around. Overall cleanliness, facilities and space is fair for the price. Remember, this is still in Paris. No cigarette smell throughout hotel, children are welcome. I will not recommend this hotel only to single female traveler if you intend coming back late at night. Even though I was walking with my husband, I feel uncomfortable and a little scared seeing groups of males hanging out on streets at night. Unless, you are willing to pay for taxi to stop you right in front of hotel.

I travelled with my family and found this hotel compared to the price as outstanding. Location is perfect 5 min walk to a metro with direct connection to first district. Room Service is excellent. Very nice clean small rooms. Recomended for the budget single and double travellers. Wifi internet available at the lobby. Lift available. Nice and helpful staff, spoke english and booked the taxi for the airport as well.

The room was very dated and didn't have a kettle (a big minus for me as I needed to make baby milk), however it was clean, the bed was fine, and the staff was helpful. We didn't like the area at all, if the hotel was in a better area we might consider using it again, but, the surroundings put us off so much we wouldn't consider it.

For the price, this is a very good deal. Not very close to major city attractions, but 5 minutes from metro stop. In a lively neighborhood full of good cheap restaurants and grocery stores. Staff speaks good English and is extremely helpful. Rooms are bare and small, but they do the job for crashing at night after a day sightseeing. I would go again.

Clean basic hotel. Location is very near a metro line, although not the most touristy neighborhood. Computers in lobby with free internet access was a huge asset. Near CDG airport and had efficient airport shuttle. Would recommend as a budget hotel room outside the centre of paris.

I stayed at the Villette hotel in April 2010 and had a very good time, warm welcome and friendly staff. Kindly accepted to take pictures of me and my guests at the lobby when asked. Room 205 was very spacious, a separate bathroom with open windows. A little smelley though. Rather dated furniture (80's/ 90's ?) but I didn't care. I surely will return!!

The Villette was just what we expected based on what we read online. It was basic, nothing fancy but quite nice. The room was small, as was the bathroom, but lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. For the price, it was a great place to sleep after long days of sight-seeing. It was a little out of the center of town and I didn't find the area exciting but also didn't have too much time to explore nearby. I'm glad we stayed there, have no complaints!

The triple accomodation was spacious enough for us three ladies. With a bathroom ensuite, and the heatings in the room and bath working, our 5d 4n stay in room 303 during those cold autumn days was made all the more pleasant and comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful, and insisted on speaking in English! (there goes my hope to practice my french) Location wise, to and fro the nearest metro and bus stop takes only 3-5 mins on foot. There are numerous fast food joints, restaurants, grocery stores or supermarkets and pharmacies nearby. A relatively safe and quiet neighbourhood. I'd recommend this place for those who want a warm comfortable bed to sleep in at nights after a hectic shopping spree or exploring the city.

My stay at the hotel was very good: all employees I met were very kind, the price was great and also the quality and the cleaning. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel only because other people wrote here that you could eat outside with less money and that's true, there's a nice patisserie in the nearby!! ( Brioche at about o.90 euro and espresso at about 1.10 euro). If I go again to Paris , I'll probaby choose Paris Villette again!

This is a great place for those who like to be close to the centre at a reasonable price. The area itself is okay, although certainly not scenic. Transport very convenient, metro close by, and bus to Gare du Nord even closer.About half an hour's walk to either Gare du Nord or Gare d'Est. ( walking with heavy gear and suitcases took us about 40 min from Gare du Nord) Plenty supermarkets nearby, those supplied us with all our food requirements. The hotel is tastefully decorated and has a good atmosphere. We would definitively go there again.

As first timers in Paris I thought that overall the hotel was nice. The room was big enough move around in and the bathroom size was great. The free internet turned out to be extremely helpful and the female at the front desk was more then friendly. The male who took over at night not quite as sweet but cordial none the less. The hotel was not as far out of the main Paris sights then I first thought and although I would not recommend to walk around the hotel at night alone I felt completely safe walking around with my husband. In the end I fell the hotel was great for the cost in a beautiful but expensive city like Paris.

We had some problems when we arrive because we didn't know that we have to pay for a triple room and lucky for us (we have reservation for two rooms, one triple and one double, because we were two family)they give us another double room. Maybe they shoud specified the rule about childrens on the site. Except that everything was ok according to the money paid.

Great service!! Like all other reviews say, this hotel gets an A+ for service. The people are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but clean. The surrounding areas are a little dirty and a bit "rough". If you don't mind staying in Paris' developing areas, this hotel is a great choice. Travel to main attractions is abut 30-40 minutes, but there are some cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. All in all, this is a great place to stay when traveling on a budget.

The hotel is very conveniently located - near an underground station. The room wasn't very big, but comfortable. Unfortunately, there were only French speaking channels on TV, so we couldn't get any world news. The bathroom was cleaned every day. The lift worked properly. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfasts served at the hotel didn't seem very big, but it turned out they were perfectly enough. Internet access was free. The place was quiet and we had a good time there, so we do recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful Paris neighborhood - working class. There are three grocery stores nearby and a wonderful outdoor market on Fridays. The employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Ask for room 603 - it has an incredible view of the Sacred Heart Church. This room doesn't have a hair dryer but one can be bought locally very inexpensively. The only drawback to this room is that it is also located above a local bar and when the windows are open, it can get loud (also entertaining). Once the windows are closed, all sound is blocked out. The hotel is a jewel in the city of Paris. We would stay there again. We stayed for two weeks. The metro is a short walk (about 5 minutes) and is on a central line. We felt safe even late at night. Most of the other guests were European. Oh - the elevator is quite small fitting two adults. While the rooms are small - they are clean and comfortable. We went to see Paris and it was wonderful. Excellent value for the money. It gave us a real taste of what living in Paris would be like.

The room was small and plain but clean. Little street noise with windows closed, some noise from within the hotel: plumbing, doors, etc. The bed was comfortable. The location is far from the attractions of Paris and the neighborhood is not appealing. The breakfast was not very good- supermarket baguette- but there are probably few alternatives in the neighborhood.

I only stayed for a night and i booked out two single rooms. As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist in English, she was obviously able to speak many languages as she spoke Spanish on the phone while we were there. We had everything explained to us and when we asked questions she was able to answer us in detail. Although we only stayed one night, we were well looked after and would definately book there again if we did Paris on a budget.

The room was small, for three adults, but that was OK as all we did was sleep there, leave for sight seeing in morning and return late evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were satisfied with our staying in Paris, one night. Not far from the downtown and good price and I felt like a customer.

The staff were very nice and helpfull. The courtyard area was nice to sit and have a coffee in the morning. The rooms were quite basic i.e. bed, wardrobe, en suite toilet, shower (very good shower)and a sink, but for the price it was excelent. Higly recommend for those on a budget and like doing the touristy things. Closest metro is Crimee which is 5 mins away and the Hotel is only a 20/30 min walk to the Gare de Nord aswell.

Clean tidy twin room with en-suite. just as described - excellent value. Enjoyed spending the rest of my budget on experiencing Paris itself. Great price for perfectly clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff whose english was 100 times better than my french. Didn't have breakfast at hotel purely as we opted to take our pick of the many of nearby patisseries & cafe's. Clear map to find the place - very easy & near to metro. Also found a swimming pool within 200 metres. Easy on public transport from CDG airport bus route, then coupple fo metro stops - then well placed for whole of city. Would def stay again, clean and great value.

Tall persons may have trouble with the shower as the cord is short and there is no curtain, so a tall person must crouch down in the tub to shower. The wash basin sink in the bathroom was cracked but only aesthetically unpleasing; it functioned just fine. The room was cleaned each day of our stay and they had it ready for us when we arrived early at 11:45am.

It was a little bit difficult to find at first where the hotel is situated because of lack of name indicated on the front of the building. I was very satisfied with this accomodation although I spent only one night. The receptionist lady was very kind and helpful. This hotel is very near to a metro station (Crimee) and not far from the Sacra Cour.

Excellent little hotel situated on the outskirts of Paris. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, < six nights > the front desk provided a very warm, welcoming, friendly and competent service. Everything we requested and more beyond, was provided. The location was great, close to the Metro. Close by, many supermarkets, cafe's, restruants, all serving good meals at cheap prices. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Paris on a budget holiday. Anyway who needs a fancy expensive hotel in Paris when you spend more time out of the Hotel room than in the Hotel room.

The 2 nights I spent there were just the way I needed. The receptionists (all of them) speaks very good English, they were friendly and nice. The room was clean and tidy, a bit small, but only for sleeping there (who would want more?) was perfect. The metro, food stores, bakeries are very close to get and reach everything. I would recommend them for longer stay also.

Cheap, but very far away from any meaninful center of interest. The staff is very nice. The rooms are small and oldish. The neighborhood feels very unsafe at night. If it wasn't so far the price would be OK for the quality.

It's a nice little Hotel at the edge of the Centre of Paris. It's a bit loudly till midnight and sometimes later, but the windows keep the noise outside. The welcoming is very friendly, with an english speaking receptionist; also at night. The Internet-using is for free, it means u're allowed to use the two Computers in the Lounge. They're not too old and work very well. Also in the Lounge, u will find confortable arm chairs, a big flat-TV and a cheap Snack- & Coffee automat. The prize for breakfast (6€) is not too high, compared to the prizes in the 'cafés' around. I would come back and i think I will! I recommend it to people alone or to groups, which spend the most time in the City and just come to the Hotel for sleeping. The Connection to the Center is the Matro-Station "Crimée", from which you arrive nearly all places in Paris in few minutes.

The hotel staff were nice and speaks english. The triple room we got was decent considering Paris standards, closed to Bus stop 54/60. Quite a walk from the Crimee metro esp. when you have luggages in tow. Overall, it was a good experience & will definitely recommend the place to a budget traveller who is flexible.

Great stay. Lovley lady at reception spoke very good english and was very helpful. Location Hotel is 12 metro underground stops to le Louvre and 10 to shopping La Fyette and the Opera, on Line 7 from Crimee. Stayed with my daughter. Rooms clean and small. En suite bath/shower and toilet. Heating worked. Breakfast good. Supermarket close by and a great patisserie. Great value for money. Can recommend this hotel.

On the whole it was rather good, I liked the free Internet, the room though not very big was clean. It's a little far from the downtown and the nearest metro station is about 500-600 meters away but on the other side you have a supermarket and some restorants very close by which is very convenient.

Everything was fine, all the services were according to the Venere site. Although the hotel is not in the center, the metro station is not far (in 20-30 minutes you can reach most of the important sights by metro). The hotel personnel is very helpful, and the public area is enjoyable. Clean, soundproofed rooms with everything needed for the stay. The only negative comment is on the small space assigned for the toilet. Very good conditions for the price payed.

REALLY SATISFIED, excellent proportion between quality and PRICE! Recommended if you want to visit Paris, without throwing away useful money. We had a double, 54 euro a night, quite small and simple, but with bathroom and shower cleaned everyday, sheets of bed changed everyday. Television. Breakfast (5.5€) is simple, some cheese, ham and croissant, no vegetables no scambled eggs or bacon (if hungry, ask for second round without problems). Everybody in the hotel, can speak English, and is in general kind. Internet point is free. Location is quite good: the zone is not turistic, but not dangerous. Metro station Crimeè is at 5 minutes walking distance. 6-7 stations to the center. IF BACK IN PARIS, WE'LL CHOOSE AGAIN THIS HOTEL.
