It was a nice stay in Paris. Close to Crimee metro station which was very helpful for us. Employees speak in english. Over all it's worth for the money.
Malaysia, Oct 2009
The triple accomodation was spacious enough for us three ladies. With a bathroom ensuite, and the heatings in the room and bath working, our 5d 4n stay in room 303 during those cold autumn days was made all the more pleasant and comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful, and insisted on speaking in English! (there goes my hope to practice my french) Location wise, to and fro the nearest metro and bus stop takes only 3-5 mins on foot. There are numerous fast food joints, restaurants, grocery stores or supermarkets and pharmacies nearby. A relatively safe and quiet neighbourhood. I'd recommend this place for those who want a warm comfortable bed to sleep in at nights after a hectic shopping spree or exploring the city.

My stay at the hotel was very good: all employees I met were very kind, the price was great and also the quality and the cleaning. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel only because other people wrote here that you could eat outside with less money and that's true, there's a nice patisserie in the nearby!! ( Brioche at about o.90 euro and espresso at about 1.10 euro). If I go again to Paris , I'll probaby choose Paris Villette again!

A nice little hotel though not so easy to find! Need to have a better map showing the directions to the hotel. Apart from that the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke english!

It was really pleasant and clean hotel, in relation to the price for the room - perfect. The access to the center was not bad - just few station by metro. In case you don't want to spend a lot of money for accomodation during your stay in Paris, it is really good choice.

This is a great place for those who like to be close to the centre at a reasonable price. The area itself is okay, although certainly not scenic. Transport very convenient, metro close by, and bus to Gare du Nord even closer.About half an hour's walk to either Gare du Nord or Gare d'Est. ( walking with heavy gear and suitcases took us about 40 min from Gare du Nord) Plenty supermarkets nearby, those supplied us with all our food requirements. The hotel is tastefully decorated and has a good atmosphere. We would definitively go there again.

As first timers in Paris I thought that overall the hotel was nice. The room was big enough move around in and the bathroom size was great. The free internet turned out to be extremely helpful and the female at the front desk was more then friendly. The male who took over at night not quite as sweet but cordial none the less. The hotel was not as far out of the main Paris sights then I first thought and although I would not recommend to walk around the hotel at night alone I felt completely safe walking around with my husband. In the end I fell the hotel was great for the cost in a beautiful but expensive city like Paris.

It's my third time in Paris and we made the trip whith our kid (6 year old)for Disneyland. We had some problems when we arrive because we didn't know that we have to pay for a triple room and lucky for us (we have reservation for two rooms, one triple and one double, because we were two family)they give us another double room. Maybe they shoud specified the rule about childrens on the site. Except that everything was ok according to the money paid.

Great service!! Like all other reviews say, this hotel gets an A+ for service. The people are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but clean. The surrounding areas are a little dirty and a bit "rough". If you don't mind staying in Paris' developing areas, this hotel is a great choice. Travel to main attractions is abut 30-40 minutes, but there are some cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. All in all, this is a great place to stay when traveling on a budget.

We were very young couple and we stay in this hotel 4 nights. It is very quite, staff are very available and speak also italian. The room is quite warm and we had no problem. The hotel is 500mt far from the crimee metro. And about 40 minutes far from the center. It is cheap but it has no every type of service naturally. Have a good stay!

The hotel is very conveniently located - near an underground station. The room wasn't very big, but comfortable. Unfortunately, there were only French speaking channels on TV, so we couldn't get any world news. The bathroom was cleaned every day. The lift worked properly. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfasts served at the hotel didn't seem very big, but it turned out they were perfectly enough. Internet access was free. The place was quiet and we had a good time there, so we do recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful Paris neighborhood - working class. There are three grocery stores nearby and a wonderful outdoor market on Fridays. The employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Ask for room 603 - it has an incredible view of the Sacred Heart Church. This room doesn't have a hair dryer but one can be bought locally very inexpensively. The only drawback to this room is that it is also located above a local bar and when the windows are open, it can get loud (also entertaining). Once the windows are closed, all sound is blocked out. The hotel is a jewel in the city of Paris. We would stay there again. We stayed for two weeks. The metro is a short walk (about 5 minutes) and is on a central line. We felt safe even late at night. Most of the other guests were European. Oh - the elevator is quite small fitting two adults. While the rooms are small - they are clean and comfortable. We went to see Paris and it was wonderful. Excellent value for the money. It gave us a real taste of what living in Paris would be like.

The room was small and plain but clean. Little street noise with windows closed, some noise from within the hotel: plumbing, doors, etc. The bed was comfortable. The location is far from the attractions of Paris and the neighborhood is not appealing. The breakfast was not very good- supermarket baguette- but there are probably few alternatives in the neighborhood.

I only stayed for a night and i booked out two single rooms. As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist in English, she was obviously able to speak many languages as she spoke Spanish on the phone while we were there. We had everything explained to us and when we asked questions she was able to answer us in detail. Although we only stayed one night, we were well looked after and would definately book there again if we did Paris on a budget.

We arrived quite late, and were greeted in a very friendly manner, and was checked in very quickly. The hotel staff spoke english very well and they had directions to all the tourist places to visit. The hotel was very convenient to the Metro, less than a 10 minute walk. The room was small, for three adults, but that was OK as all we did was sleep there, leave for sight seeing in morning and return late evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were very nice and helpfull. The courtyard area was nice to sit and have a coffee in the morning. The rooms were quite basic i.e. bed, wardrobe, en suite toilet, shower (very good shower)and a sink, but for the price it was excelent. clean tidy twin room with en-suite. just as described - excellent value. Enjoyed spending the rest of my budget on experiencing Paris itself. Great price for perfectly clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff whose english was 100 times better than my french. Didn't have breakfast at hotel purely as we opted to take our pick of the many of nearby patisseries & cafe's. Clear map to find the place - very easy & near to metro. Also found a swimming pool within 200 metres. Tall persons may have trouble with the shower as the cord is short and there is no curtain, so a tall person must crouch down in the tub to shower. The wash basin sink in the bathroom was cracked but only aesthetically unpleasing; it functioned just fine. The room was cleaned each day of our stay and they had it ready for us when we arrived early at 11:45am.

It was a little bit difficult to find at first where the hotel is situated because of lack of name indicated on the front of the building.

Excellent little hotel situated on the outskirts of Paris. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, < six nights > the front desk provided a very warm, welcoming, friendly and competent service. Everything we requested and more beyond, was provided. The location was great, close to the Metro. Close by, many supermarkets, cafe's, restruants, all serving good meals at cheap prices. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Paris on a budget holiday. Anyway who needs a fancy expensive hotel in Paris when you spend more time out of the Hotel room than in the Hotel room.

It's a nice little Hotel at the edge of the Centre of Paris. It's a bit loudly till midnight and sometimes later, but the windows keep the noise outside. The welcoming is very friendly, with an english speaking receptionist; also at night. The Internet-using is for free, it means u're allowed to use the two Computers in the Lounge. They're not too old and work very well. Also in the Lounge, u will find confortable arm chairs, a big flat-TV and a cheap Snack- & Coffee automat. The prize for breakfast (6€) is not too high, compared to the prizes in the 'cafés' around. I would come back and i think I will! I recommend it to people alone or to groups, which spend the most time in the City and just come to the Hotel for sleeping. The Connection to the Center is the Matro-Station "Crimée", from which you arrive nearly all places in Paris in few minutes.

Everything was fine, all the services were according to the Venere site. Although the hotel is not in the center, the metro station is not far (in 20-30 minutes you can reach most of the important sights by metro). REALLY SATISFIED, excellent proportion between quality and PRICE! Recommended if you want to visit Paris, without throwing away useful money. We had a double, 54 euro a night, quite small and simple, but with bathroom and shower cleaned everyday, sheets of bed changed everyday. Television. Breakfast (5.5€) is simple, some cheese, ham and croissant, no vegetables no scambled eggs or bacon (if hungry, ask for second round without problems). Everybody in the hotel, can speak English, and is in general kind. Internet point is free. Location is quite good: the zone is not turistic, but not dangerous. Metro station Crimeè is at 5 minutes walking distance. 6-7 stations to the center. IF BACK IN PARIS, WE'LL CHOOSE AGAIN THIS HOTEL.

We were disappointed with the hotel room (No. 105 street side room). It was dirty, mouldy, dusty and had a bad smell. The furniture was on the verge of falling apart. One can identify the room more to a cheap university dormitary than a hotel. The bathroom had mould and only enough hot water for one person. The price €60 was a distortion for such a disgrace. The street is very loud (drunks at night, traffic in the morning). Bring ear plugs. Direction from Metro to hotel on this website was too vague.

The receptionist made us very welcome and spent time to explain the best way around the city's transport systems, providing us with clearly printed directions in english to the Stade de France. The hotel is clean, well priced and good for short stays. The rooms are relatively small but functional, although a little dated. For €60 night for a twin room - it suited us well! Nice small hotel. The rooms are small but if you just need some place to sleep and have a shower after an all day trip, it is a good choise. The employees are very friendly and helped us whenever we needed.

On top of the newly renovated rooms and friendly staff, I really liked the free wifi access and the grocery and copy shop within 5 minutes walking distance, and the metro station less than 10 minutes walk away.

Yes, this is recommended. If you want something out of the city centre and away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. The area has a feel of "realness" about it. More residents than tourists. The hotel staff were friendly and kind - especially when I returned at 11 o'clock at night sopping wet from a rain storm that I had no protection from! The older gentleman who was on duty when I checked out was delightfully flirty! Just what you'd expect from the French. Don't often have my hand kissed - would return just for that little touch of elegance. The room was functional, clean and easily accessible - all I needed for one night. I wish it had been more and when I return to Paris I won't hesitate to stay here.

It was the first occasion we stayed at this hotel, really it was the first time we stayed in Paris. The employees are very friendly, not like the other people from Paris, and two of them speak Spanish (in Paris I found few people who speak English and even less who speak Spanish). About the room I should say it was a bit small, but it was cleaned every day. As a summerize I can say that the hotel has a high relationship between price and quality.

Very nice, clean, cheap small hotel. Near metro station. Good quality/cost ratio. Lovely Lady at reception desk, fluently in English and Spanish made it much easier to get the bearings in Paris. Free internet access at lobby is definitively a plus! I would come back here anytime.

Had a great time at Hotel Paris Villette. Grocery and other stores nearby for cheese, wine, paté etc., and only 20 minutes to downtown on Metro line #7. Great view over the 19th arrondissement from 7th floor "balcony". Neighbourhood is very quiet at night and I slept with the "French door" windows open. Traffic noise during the day. Obviously recently renovated with brand new bathroom facilities. Great value for money, IMHO. ......JimT

Very nice small hotel with competent employees, welcoming atmosphere, in a quiet district yet close to metro and center of Paris. I highly recommend it to any economic-minded traveller. By the way, nobody stays inside a hotel in this charming city. You actually need only a bed and a bathroom. Hotel's two desktops with 24hr internet access is also very helpful. Hope to return again to this hotel soon.

We read the past mixed reviews of this hotel and decided to take a chance because of the cheap price. We were not happy. The neighborhood is not a great place to stay because it is far from a lot of stuff and does not have much in the way of restaurants, etc. The room smelled bad and was funky. The bed was awful -- I think the matress was 4 inches of foam wrapped in plastic. But, unlike another review of this hotel, our bathroom was the nicest part of the hotel room. It was clean and comparable to the many other hotels we stayed at in our 3 weeks around France.

Yes this hotel is near a subway station but it is also VERY VERY VERY far away from the center of Paris. My advice check in to hotels closer to the center of the city if that is where you will be doing most of your touring. The hotel staff is incredible:friendly, funny, welcoming, and happy to give advice and assistance. Computers are available in the lobby( that was wonderful for internet access). Our hotel room was...OK. The bathroom which we suprizingly did not share with anyone else was sub-par, by that it was not so clean (mold in the shower), and our head board was slowly decaying from age. Our view was nice at night we could see the Sacre-Coeur( a gorgeous and famous church).Overall it was fine, My best friend and I would have prefered a hotel closer to the main arrondissement, and a shower without the black plague.

The hotel wasn't bad. Neighborhood looked rough but we did not have any problems. Locals actually minded own business. Local bars were friendly. Hotel is about 30 minutes to center via metro. Must factor this in. Staff was nice. Free internet a very good bonus. Near 2 supermarkets and good turkish cheap shwarmas, bakeries. It's pretty much a no frills hotel. Bring your own shampoo and soap as you will appreciate your quality better if this is a sensitive subject. The price of 55/euros was definitely better than any other hotel. If you don't need honeymoon quality hotel and pampering and just need a place to rest, this is the place. Overall, I would recommend it. Thanks staff!

3 block walk to Crimee Metro stop. Plenty of shops, restaurants, banks in general area. Hotel neiborhood a little rough looking. About 20-30 minutes to Paris center via walk and metro. Good deal for the price.

I stayed here with my young son and were made very welcome. It was very good value for money. We walked to the Cite du Science and L'Industry in the morning - only 10 minutes away.
