My daughter (15) and myself stayed at this hotel for four nights and loved it. The room was bright and airy with two large windows and a small balcony. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious with bath/shower and clean towels every day. The room overlooked the busy Rue de Rivoli, however, we were not bothered by the noise as the windows were double glazed and had thick curtains which cut down the noise and we slept well. The hotel is ideally situated near the metro and within walking distance of Notre Dame, the Siene and has many restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries on its doorstep, excellent food at nearby Rue des Rosiers. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, special thanks for arranging a shuttle bus to CDG at short notice. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Super!

As a 79 year-old Australian woman travelling alone for the first time I was very pleased with my choice of this hotel which provided all the comfort and convenience I required, at reasonable cost. I had come to France to visit my unwell older brother but also to revisit Paris. I enjoyed relaxing baths in the spacious bathroom after long walks in the interesting neighbourhood and further afield. Paris Rivoli is close to 2 Metro stations and within walking distance of various galleries and museums, with a good choice of local cafes. I have already recommended it to friends.

Basic budget hotel. Nice friendly staff, very basic typical French breakfast (cereal, bread, croissant, fruit, cheese, and lunch meat), but no omelets for 8 euro. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and brassiere nearby. St. Paul Metro station just a block and a half away.

The location is perfect! Rather big supermarket is close to the Hotel! But the only thing was disturbing us: the stuff. Not enough polite and very loud.. That was not pleasant to have our breakfast every morning to the accompaniment of traditional songs of Senegal or similar countries...

I love this place. Room was super cleaned every day. The best staff member was the sri lankan women at breakfast. So pleasant and wonderful to see her face everyday. The lift worked great and it was quiet too. The room was quiet with big beautiful windows. I will definitely stay here gain. So happy with this place.

Fantastic location! Minutes from Notre Dame, the Marais, Places de Vosges etc! Hotel was comfortable, our room was spacious - compared to any Parisian Hotel (in this price bracket) I've ever stayed in!! Such a pleasure to be able to move around your room!! Staff were most polite and helpful.

The hotel is in a charming old building with five small rooms to a floor. It is five stories high but has a small elevator. The price seemed reasonable compared to other web offerings. Our room was tiny with a double mattressed bed, bedside tables and a desk. The bathroom was reasonable sized, with a tub/shower combo. Since it was off a main thoroughfare, it was noisy. The desk clerks were all very friendly and helpful. All knew English very well. Some seemed to be American. There were World Telegram newspapers in the lobby every day, but no English language channels on the TV. There is a small restaurant for breakfast and a coffee maker in the room, but it was resupplied only once during our weeks stay. The main attraction was the convenience of the hotel. It was in the old section of Paris, near the Seine, Metro, RER (the railway to Versailles), Notre Dame, other main tourist sites, restaurants, a super market, a large department store, etc. We bought a five day ticket on the Batobus (boat) for 20 euros and boarded at the nearby Hotel de Ville stop for places too far to walk, while traveling at a more picturesque and leisurely pace than the tourist buses. Of interest to Jewish travelers, the hotel is near the cluster of kosher restaurants on the Rue des Rosiers, the Memorials de la Shoah and the Deported, the Museum of the Art and History of the Jews of Paris, synagogues, etc.

I was more than impressed with this hotel! I expected small rooms, and saggy beds, but was pleasantly surprised with the room's space, and very comfortable beds! The location was excellent, two metro stops from Gare de Lyon, and a stones throw from Notre Dame. I could not complain about the hotel at all (okay, traffic noise was a little annoying when you're trying to get to sleep) and if I go back to Paris, Rivoli will be my hotel! Can't wait!

Stayed there for one night (arrived late, left early) for (my own) business reasons. I am overall satisfied with my choice. I chose the place for the location, price and positive reviews. Location was excellent for me and is very good considering it's so close to Marais and many other attractions. Another thing I much enjoyed was breakfast (very nice breakfast room with big window on rue rivoli and good croissants). Personally my room did not give me the idea of extreme cleanliness (this however happens often in paris with carpet on the floor, etc. and a spot on the bedcover didn't help; rooms are obviously not brand new; but on the other hand the bathroom was very clean and new), but considering the price, overall I feel they really have an extremely good value for the price. Very nice staff. Will definetely go there again if they keep this competitive price.

We booked a room for 3 persons, and was given a double bedded room with extra bed. the extra bed took the rest of floor space available, so there was no place even to move without climbing over the beds. Definately no space to put the luggage and suitcases. This hotel has in fact no rooms for 3 persons and should not bed annnounced as it. The location was perfect for a weekend in Paris.

Superlative helpful staff - clean & neat rooms (small but normal for this kind of property). The location is incredibly convenient: in the Marais shopping district, just a block from a Metro stop on Line 1, within 10 minutes stroll of Notre Dame/Ile de Cite, and plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel restaurant is terrific for breakfast. Rue de Rivoli is a busy street, but the windows shut out almost all the noise. We'll be back on our next Paris stay...

The staff was very friendly. I had a room facing the interior so it was very quiet. Unfortunately the hot water did not work on Sunday. They had no way to get it fixed. I checked out early Monday morning because I had a plane to catch. No offer was made to reduce the room charge because of the lack of hot water.

I last stayed at this hotel about five years ago, and it has improved in terms of the decor, and the friendliness and competence of the hotel staff. I was lucky to have a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking a courtyard. So the room was very quiet, even though the hotel is on a busy street. The hotel's location in the Marais is excellent, and the room rate is reasonable compared with similar hotels in the area.

The Hotel is located in the Marais area! Only 2 blocks away from St. Paul metro station. One can walk to Notre Dame from the hotel and there are great shopping and food stores in the little streets just North of Rue Rivoli. Holel rooms are super small (smaller than room in Japan!) Some stuff was broken in the room. However, clean rooms and very quiet.

My stay at the Hotel Paris Rivoli was memorable. The staff greeted me warmly after a long flight, and allowed me an early check-in to a quiet room (which was greatly appreciated!). Well located, the Hotel Paris Rivoli is in a lively area, a stones throw from Notre Dame, the Hotel de Ville and the George Pompidue Centre. I loved the easy access to restaurants and cafes.

Had a great stay, staff were really helpful and also very mindful of my competence of French - they waited patiently until I tried to do it in french and then answered accordingly - hehehe.. ... Had a great stay in Paris. It goes with out saying the hotel is a little noisy, you are only 10 minutes minutes from the Louvre, 15 minutes from Saint Chapelle, not to mention a hundred more scene stealing sights...

The location was great, the staff were excellent, but when we asked for the hot water/ plumbing to be fixed, no result. Also all the doors creaked like crazy, so when the next door neighbours left / entered their room or used their bathroom at night, we were woken up - the maintenance was not good - which negated the highlights. We had a balcony which was fabulous too - they just need some attention to their household maintenance and it would be 10/10

This hotel is well located between two metro stops. Be sure to ask for a quiet room in the back. There is much street noise in the front, but very quiet in the back. Breakfast was very good compared to others in France.

Was with my boyfriend on holiday. Fantastic location for everything Paris, but especially for exploring the Marais!!! Big balcony and what a great view. The modest room was perfectly fine. The linens were dated. The front desk staff was very helpful but my wakeup call for my early morning international flight home was one hour late. The hotel is located between two metro stations and the bus was also convenient.

I have stayed in Paris several times but never before at the Hotel Paris Rivoli. I would be quite happy to stay there again. It was exactly what I expected of a fairly well positioned hotel in Paris for the price paid. The staff were efficient and pleasant, able to speak good English but communicating in French if you wanted to try out your (in my case rusty) language skills. The room was clean and tidy with a better-sized bathroom than you usually get in Paris hotels - not huge but big enough to dry yourself without having to stand in the bath! Although the bedroom was quite small and compact, it didn't feel too cramped. There was a television (if you really wanted to watch it) but the volume was limited to such an extent that it was almost impossible to hear. All in all, I got what I paid for and was perfectly satisfied. The hotel is ideally located for Le Marais, being just across the road from the bottom of rue Vielle du Temple (into the heart of the district - a very interesting area: lots of good restaurants and {chiefly gay} bars) and only a short walk away from Place des Vosges and Bastille. The St Paul area is also worth a visit. It is also very close to the Hotel de Ville so it is possible to get off the Metro there or Saint Paul as it is more or less equidistant.

Really enjoyed it. The location was ideal . Nice area to wander and handy for metros etc . Plenty good restaurants within walking distance . Breakfast was good enough value with great coffee and cheaper than going out .Given prices generally in Paris thought it was good value and had everything we needed Rooms were well serviced though tea/coffee facilities would have been . Might have been if bar was open at night . Overall, really enjoyed it . the staff were all lovely

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter (17 years old) for 4 nights in January. It was a basic room, just twin beds and TV, but the bathroom was very modern, and the room was very clean. The location is great, an easy walk to Notre Dame and the Marais area. The staff was very helpful with requests such as train schedules and car rental information.
