Lovely décor, comfy bed, great location facing the Panthéon, helpful staff. As previously mentioned, it's worth going for the more expensive rooms on the top floors facing the Place du Panthéon because of the fantastic views and slightly larger rooms. We know this because we started out in a room on a lower floor facing a side street, and although it was beautifully decorated and had a larger bathroom with a window, we found it to be dark (poor lighting) and noisy in the mornings. Granted, we're late sleepers, but we felt like we could hear everything being said in the rooms nearby. Our second room, while still a bit noisy, more than made up for this with its spectacular view. We didn't spring for the pricey breakfast and would recommend walking to nearby café which had the best coffee: take a right out the hotel door, turn right at the corner and then right again at the end of the block then find a spot at the second restaurant you come to. My best tip: read "The Paris Wife" while you are there. It's a novel about Hemingway and his first wife, and you can find their first Paris apartment just a few blocks away on Rue du Cardinal Lemoin.

A very nice 3 star hotel. Obviously overpriced due to location-very close to Seine and Notre Dame. Most convenient/closest Metro station is Maubert Mutuality and not Cluny Sorbonne or Cardinal Lemoine as shown on map and quoted by other travellers.

Don't be put off by the price for this 3-star hotel; apart from the small room size and lack of a full restaurant, this is more like a small, wonderful 4-star hotel. Staff were all extremely friendly & helpful, and all we met spoke excellent english. Room size was probably average for Paris and adequate for our needs, with a separate WC (useful if two people), and decent storage; plus a small table with two chairs by the window. Decor very quaint & traditional but well done and well kept. Most (but not all) of the rooms directly overlook the Pantheon, which is an amazing site to see out your room window! Breakfast was excellent, whether in our room or in the very pleasant breakfast room; and not unreasonably priced (13 Euros for a good value hotel breakfast). The make-your-own-pancakes was a hit! Nice lobby with comfortable seating area which would be good for meeting people. Highly recommended; was a great place to spend our wedding anniversary. Also consider the Hotel des Grandes Hommes next door which looks to be under the same ownership.

Hotel du Pantheon is a lovely boutique hotel across from the Pantheon and close to all of the major sights in Paris. The nearest Metro line is Luxomberg and is a five minute walk to the hotel. The Mouffetard markets are a short walk where you will find numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. A great place to stay when in Paris.

We would gladly return. Pros: Quiet location, wonderful view of Pantheon, decent Internet connection, excellent selection of restaurants nearby. Cons: Slightly removed from Metro, square toilet seats (!).

Lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff, free wi-fi, great location within short walk to Luxemburg Garden and popular spots. Rooms are good-sized for Paris and we were given an upgrade to a view room which was grand. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris

Very good value for Paris. The building is a traditional, 17th Century building and the rooms are furnished in a traditional style, much more atmosphere and style than the modern fit-outs. We paid an extra 30 Euros per night for an upgrade so we had a view over the Pantheon from our room. We were very happy with our stay at the Pantheon. The breakfast room was great and the breakfast good. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Staff was very helpful. Room was very small but nicely decorated. Elevator was incredibly small and slow. If you have small kids, be very careful as the circular staircase could be very dangerous. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We were in Paris for a week and chose the Latin Quarter to stay in for a change, having stayed near the Opera and the Champs Elysee prior. The location was perfect and within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit. Hachim and Matthew who manned the desk were exceedingly helpful with great recommendations for restaurants and treated us to a glass of wine in the lounge. The rooms were Paris size but beautifully decorated. The bathrooms were quite large.

It was a nice and fruitful experience being in Paris again at the Hotel Pantheon. The hotel is very well located and the building is also prepared for accomodation. We address an special remark for the place where the breakfast is served. The room is like being out of the time: fantastic! We really enjoyed the stay at the Hotel Pantheon. We will come back soon.

Lovely hotel. Building works were being carried out when we arrived. The concierge asked if we has received an email about this which we had not (although we had had other emails from them). However, we were offered a discount and the work did not interfere with the holiday as it was the weekend. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and is warm, comfortable and clean. For central Paris the room was a decent size and staff were friendly.

Nice and quiet little hotel, very conveniently situated - public transport was on strike when we went to Paris, and we could walk to all important sites of interest. Breakfast includes Muesli and fresh fruit, but hardly any cheese, so, maybe not your typical French experience.

The hotel was in a good location in the Latin Quarter. However, it's not that close to metro stations so you do need to walk a bit. But Paris is such a great walking city, we really didn't mind. The hotel property was as advertised. Still, we were surprised at the small size of the room. That said, the bathrooms were quite large. Amenities at the hotel were average and given the rate of the hotel we didn't expect much more. The staff was cordial and professional. If we had to do it all over again, we probably would spend more on our hotel. But overall, it was a good experience.

Lovely hotel, great location, our room had a view of the Pantheon. However, that was a luxury room which we were stung 35Euro a night for. Having said that, the room (#53) was very cute, and quite spacious for Paris. The walls were a bit thin, we were kept awake by the annoying Americans in the next door room. The welcome was typical Paris, no internet access (!!), could not open the room safe and the breakfast was too expensive (additional 12Euro) for us to try

Quaint little hotel in a beautiful part of Paris. The views of the Pantheon and the square were beautiful.Only a 10 -15 min walk to St Michel and the Seine. 5 min walk to a metro line.Close to everything but away from the noise and crowds of the left bank.

As this was our first visit to Paris, I cannot make comparisons with other hotels, but after the impression gained from browsing many comments on the web about Paris hotels, the Hotel du Pantheon was a very pleasent surprise. Our room was much better than we anticipated. It was quiet (no problems with thin walls!). The bathroom was first rate with a combined bath and shower. The decoration was very tastefully done, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For us, the location was excellent, as it was just far enough off the main routes to be quiet, but within easy reach of cafes, etc, and the Metro. We would be very happy to stay here again. (I cannot comment on breakfast as we chose to eat out.)

Terrific location, opposite the Pantheon in the Sorbonne area. Surprisingly peaceful at night. 5 minutes walk from Mouffetard markets and Luxembourg Gardens and only 15 minutes from Notre Dame. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room, especially bathroom, quite large by Paris hotel standards. NIce 4-poster bed too! Would stay there again.

We would definately recommend the Hotel du Pantheon and were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Pleasantly decorated, and located very near the metro and also just a few blocks away from our favorite Paris restaurant, Coup de Torchon on Rue Saint Jacques.
