Two people in the travel I got let me use mother and. Decided here near the Gare de Lyon from CDG airport bus arrives at reasonable prices. From the bus from the airport hang 5 minutes the location is great. From the Gare de Lyon near because Metro is immediately. Aware also of the staff very friendly and able to have good feeling. Enough with the clean rooms still room. I think that because the station is out-of-or, heard the conversation in the next room, anxious as in is no. Leave the bags out after we enjoy Paris until evening flight. Very is recommended.

The rooms at the ground floor are ideal for guests who intend to listen neverending singing of drunk French at 3am or to have great overview of all hotel guests visiting toilets. The value for price is very low and incomparable with room at the 4th floor. The personal is professional and willing in many aspects but just small advice: in case you plan to print your boarding pass, bring own printer or visit some Internet cafe. The hotel is very close to Gare de Lyon but next time we will go probably to hotel Bastile round the corner and pay 20 euro more for better isolation.

This hotel locates near by Lyyon station & Air France suttle bus stop. This is really handy and easier to access anywhere you depart. You will find the name right after you stepped off from the suttle bus. City noise was hardly heard except shutting door of the next room, you will be able to have a good sleep. There is a good bakery shop, Mono P'(supermarket), bank and bistros around the hotel.

The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is located a block from the Gare de Lyon making it easily accessible to the trains and metro. Also the bus to CDG leaves from Gare de Lyon. This is a very convenient, safe, pleasant place to stay. The breakfast is OK, good coffee, but rather expensive.

I was looking forward to my stay at Hotel Palym as I had always seen good reviews. It did not quite live up to my expectations for the price, but the cheerful and helpful ladies on the reception desk more than made up for it. I didn't like the area as well as Montparnasse for example, but there were some great cafes nearby and the Gare de Lyon itself is an adventure.

We just got back from our Europe vacation. The Hotel Palym was the nicest hotel we stayed at & had the most value for the money. It was within walking distance to the metro & train station so getting around was super easy! There were lots of cafes, patisseries, & convenience stores around the area so we had lots of choices for food depending on what we wanted to spend & how much time we had. The room was very quaint & the bed was amazing. It was so comfortable we called it the "barbituate bed." It was quiet during the night but sometimes the morning traffic could be heard once rush hour was in swing this was not a big deal though. The staff was very helpful and nice enough. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

A very nice stay. Would stay at the Palym again. Great location near public transportation for getting around Paris and to/from the airport. Hotel is well maintained. Very clean room and bathroom. Airconditioned, flat-screen TV, quiet, good breakfast. Good resturants and cafes right close by. Neighborhood looks a bit rundown, but is bohemian in it's charm. Price was more than most other cities charge for a two star, but it's Paris and you will like the place.

After arriving from the U.S., we went to the hotel Palym and the staff was lukewarm in their reception. They gave us a place to put our bags and said there was no chance the room would be ready early (before 2). This hotel has a great location because you can see it from the train station Stazione Centrale, which is where you get the subway as well. You can get anywhere from this location, even though the location is not particulary beautiful. One good thing is that you are close to several stores and some good inexpensive restaurants so you can get water and food relatively inexpensively. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a triple and the third bed was just a cot. My sons legs were two feet off the cot. The AC worked well. I think the location close to the train station made it worthwhile.

This was my first stay at Hotel Palym and it would be my first choice the next time i plan to visit paris. The best part of the hotel was it was so centrally placed with eateries all over the place and the room was clean, hotel staff friendly and very helpful. The room size was very minimal, but i was only looking for a place to sleep, while i would be out most of the time, wi fi was available free of charge. very close to the gare de lyon metro, which connects to downtown with just a stop away, you could even walk to downtown from here. In short, i would definitely return. A suggestion, the prices through web are much cheaper.

In the 12e, which is the edge of Paris. A bit far from some stuff, but on the bus routes out front. The Gare de Lyon ( one of the train stations) is across the street. Plenty of restaurants, all prices. A laundry near, a great boulangerie for delicious breads and sandwiches or quiches. Small store for sodas, tylenol, batteries around the corner. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Hotel quiet, affordable and had AC.

There was a lot of uneasiness without letting pass the overseas traveling alone / travel agency because it was the first time, but the hotel of this place was splendid at all. At first I was impressed by the interior decoration that was totally same as a photograph of HP. In the hotel of this place, a photograph is just clean. There is not the lie. The area that the room is not large, but is enough alone. There is a semi-double, and single Bet can sleep in room. I think that interior calms down cutely, and the woman is liked. In addition, it was the room where the courtyard was seen, but this was wonderful like Paris. It is the hotel which is quiet though the noise is near without all (but known a little from the neighboring room) from the station. The atmosphere that the shower room restroom is chic by a grain of wood and a white tile. It is very clean, and even a woman can stay in peace. When the station goes out of the third exit soon so that I see it from a hotel, I do not suffer to a hotel for one minute either. The peace and order have any problem with none of the women immediately at night to a hotel at the latest. The station is attention when I make a mistake in an exit because I am very big because there is the place to suffer from on foot for around 10 minutes. There is Monop' to around 1 minute, too and opens until 21:00. It is put to vegetables and cheese, sandwich dessert / sushi. The staff of the hotel always met you with a smile. I cannot speak both French and the English. However, it was all right. In addition, I want to use it by all means when I go to Paris. It is the very splendid hotel where even woman one can stay at in peace

This is my second stay at Hotel Palym. Everything was wonderful, just as last year. The only thing I might suggest is a slightly more substantial breakfast offering (such as, perhaps, some cheese, some more fruit?). I'd be willing to pay more for this option. But I have no complaints at all about Hotel Palym. It has an excellent "price/quality" ratio!! I will stay here again for sure

This was the second time we stayed at Palym and we will never stay anywhere else in Paris. The quality you get for your money is unbelievable. Counting in this Hotel's favour, is its location - opposite the Gare de Lyon. It is easy to travel with the Air France bus to and from the airports and there are lots of buses to take you just about everywhere. You also have access to the Metro and can really get anywhere in a few minutes. The staff at the reception desk are so friendly and speak English fluently.

This is our 1st trip to Europe. Initially, we were abit panic as we were not able to find our way to the hotel but when we finally found, we were so relieve to see such a nice hotel. The hotel is really just opposite the train station but when we asked for direction from the staff at the train station, they adviced us to go to another train station which is totally wrong! In the end, a road sweeper gave us the correct direction. The hotel staff are excellent, they speak English when they know we cannot understand French. They are very polite and helpful, you can ask them where are the places to visit and where to find nice food. They provide free and stable wireless internet connection. We got a Quad room which has excellent room space and is well decorated. The bathroom is spacious too. The train station is just a few station from the places of interest. Very convenient. Overall, I am very satisfied.

I found the hotel a very pleasant place to stay. The room was a little small, but this was not a huge problem. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. I am an Irishwoman living in France and I speak good French, but I noticed the staff interacting very well with some English speakers, the particular staff member appeared to have excellent English and was patient and kind to the guests concerned. Overall, I would reccommend the Hotel Palym to visitors to Paris. The area is also very pleasant, with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. It is also convenient for the metro, and the bus for Charles de Gaulle airport stops right outside the Gare de Lyon.

Fantastic location -- practically across the street from Gare de Lyon; plenty of restaurants nearby (both cheap and higher end); multiple working electrical outlets in the room (more rare than not in my experience of similarly priced hotels elsewhere in France). A pleasant room both to rest and work in (free wireless); superb water pressure in the shower (and the three-panel door is genius); staff respected the "Do Not Disturb" sign but promptly tidied room when I left for the day. Nearby meals included Chez Leon, a couscous place (clearly a favorite with locals as well as tourists), Chinese takeout, and takeout espresso from a cafe in Gare de Lyon. Lots of rollerbladers in the neighborhood the Sunday I was there.

Exelente relacion precio/calidad/ubicacion. We are visiting Paris many times. We stayed at this hotel for three days with two small children. In four person room, there was an area enough to expand a very wide, two big suitcases. We are a mature couple and weren't sure what to expect but trusted the reviews which were mostly very positive. We are pleased we stayed at this hotel. The position is excellent with regard to access from Charles De Gaulle airport-hop on the bus to Gare de Lyon through exit 34 at CDG and the hotel is less than 5 mins walk.Is handy to the Paris metro(at Gare de Lyon) as well as the RER trains so can get anywhere in Paris easily. Some handy eating places and a supermarket just up the road. The room was clean and comfortable and well serviced and the staff helpful and pleasant to deal with. The only improvement I can suggest would be a small fridge in the room if one could be accomodated(as we stayed in Dec we simply placed our cold items outside the large windows). The other slight setback is the small lift which can only accomodate 2-3 people-would be a problem if on a top floor. We stayed on floor 2 so staircase was the best bet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Would stay here again.

We were a family of three in a triple room. The location was great in that we were close to Gare de Lyon where we had an early train out and it is a very interesting area and close to the metro. The breakfasts were good. The view from our lovely old window was great. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint I would say was the noise. The walls seemed to be rather thin, could hear others and could hear the noises in the street even with the windows closed.

My mum and I stayed at the Hotel Palym for five nights at the end of October. I could not fault the hotel. Great location, friendly staff, fresh breakfasts and a lovely room. We really had a wonderful few days at Hotel Palym! Recently renovated, a big room and bathroom - not the usual cubicle you get in Paris. Everything was fresh and spotless. The staff at reception speaks English and are extremely friendly. The location is excellent - opposite Gare de Lyon. We took the Air France bus from the airport and just had to cross the street to the hotel. We left from Gare de Lyon for Narbonne - and again it was less than a 5 minute walk. The room was so quiet, we could not believe we were in a busy area. We had dinner twice close to the Hotel - once at an Italian Restaurant and once at "The Terminus Brasserie" - very close to the Hotel. Bothe were pleasant experiences and within 3 minutes from the Hotel. We are still dreaming of the "Canard" we had at the "Terminus". I highly recommend this Hotel - and will definitely return as soon as I can!

We stayed a week at Hotel Palym. The first 3 days my 2 adult daughters and I stayed in a triple and the last 2 days my husband joined us and we had 2 doubles. Both rooms were roomy by Paris standards altho somewhat on the small side by American standards. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The doors to the rooms were heavy and we could hear others shut from within our room but it really was not a problem as the guests were quiet and respectful. Outside noise did not intrude. The front desk was helpful and although they did not speak fluent English, communication was not difficult. We did not take breakfast so I cannot comment on that respect. The location was very good just opposite from Gare de Lyon and down a street. The metro was very convenient. We walked to the Bastille area but when we headed to Notre Dame or the Lourve area, we took the metro and then walked those areas. I did not use the map provided on the website to find the exact location of the hotel because comments from others warned me not to do so. I relied on the comments of others on this hotel's feedback link to locate the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. I have been to Paris 5 times now and this is the hotel I would come back to.

Palym is a nice hotel close to Gare de Lyon. The first night we had a very spacious double room, but the windows were not soundproof, so a lot of noise came in from the street. For the rest of our stay, we got a room on the top floor which was smaller, facing the quiet backyard and still very nice. Everything was clean and delicat. Competent and very politeand welcoming staff. Breakfast (not included) was a disappointment. Breadrolls and croissants from the supermarket that was heated in the kitchen and really bad coffee. I missed fresh "tartines" (french breakfast baguettes).Definitely not worth 7€. Breakfast on one of the cafés facing Gare de Lyon (20 m from the hotel) was much better, and cheaper as well. Overall a nice hotel, but I will recommend the HOtel Terminus Lyon in tha same neighbourhood, which is better value for money. A big bonus is the nice breakfast at Terminus which is included in 118€ room rate.

We chose Hotel Palym based on the rewiews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed.Palym is a lovely hotel in a great location with cheerful English speaking staff. Our room was large with a huge bed, everything was freshly decorated, bathroom was a good size and spotlessly clean with a good hairdryer. To be fair some of the rooms we saw walking by were a little smaller than ours.Breakfast was plain, but there are restaurants facing Gare de Lyon that serve English breakfast. There is also a bakery around the corner,if you take two lefts from the hotel door.Metro is just a few steps away and very easy to use,Air France bus stop is in front of Gare de Lyon.Taxi from Gare du Nord cost 12 euros even in heavy traffic. The elevator was broken ,but was fixed while we were there. For location and cleanliness you cannot beat Hotel Palym. We loved it and will stay there again if we are lucky enough to return to Paris.

The hotel advertises itself as fully air conditioned. However, in my room (67) the on-off switch had deliberately been ripped off, making it impossible to use it. When I complained the comment was "It is cold, who wants it anyway?" As it was, I was boiling hot and it is not up to the receptionist to judge the temperature. Needless to say, I won't stay there again neither would I recommend it. Breakfast at 10€ was a rip off. All you get is packet of cereal, orange juice, croissants and white rolls. No cheese, choice of rolls or bread, no salad ingredients or eggs which is what you get in Europe and breakfast is usually included. I stay in a 4* hotel in Finland for less money and breakfast plus parking are all included. This was only a 2* hotel and the lift was out of order. I had to walk 6 flights of stairs to get to my room. As I suffer from high blood pressure this was a dangerous exercise.

This is charming hotel located near Gare de Lyon and Subway Line 1 and all the area has to offer in terms of restaurants, services, etc. The French decor and recent updates in plumbing and all were nice. It was great to have air conditioning, so we could shut the windows and avoid late night street noise. Staff was helpful, but not overly so. The lift is quite small, but at least there is one.

We are a family of 4 asked for a quad room, and received a BIG one (considering the size of the rooms in Paris), this one was really big and fine. Breakfast small as usual in France. Parked outside the hotel. We thought it was going to be very noisy but surprisingly it wasnt. Excellent relation quality vs. price

The best thing about this hotel is its location - next to the Gare de Lyon (one of the main railway stations). Very easy reachable from all airports by shuttles and from any other place in a city by metro. The room was more than ok - very clean, pretty, with a nice view to the street and a small french-style balcony. Of course, the room was not huge but one should never expect that from a 2* hotel in Paris. The best compliment was the comment of my 11-years-old brother: "If they call it 2* hotel, I'd like to see one of 5*!"

Stayed for three days together with my brother-in-law, surroundings excellent, close to Gare de Lyon. The room was small, but quiet (5:th floor, towards the backyard) and clean. The only disappointment was the breakfast(The price had risen to 7,50 Euro), with swedish measures just ridiculous and not worth it's price! (but I guess it's hard to get a swedish type of hotel breakfast anywhere in Paris?)

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for: it was clean and comfortable, it was air conditioned, and the staff were helpful. As an added bonus, the hotel was in an interesting, old building that appeared to have been recently renovated. Although it is ranked as a two star hotel, this hotel is nicer than many of the three star hotels that I have stayed at in North America. I suppose the reason that it has only a two star ranking is that it lacks amenities such as a pool or a proper hotel restaurant. But who needs such amenities in a city like Paris? Also, the rooms are somewhat small, but my understanding is that small rooms are the norm in Paris. I paid an average of 85 euros a night, which is steal.

This hotel was easy to book, and we weren't disappointed when we arrived. It's a short drive from Orly Airport. The taxi ride for 4 people plus bags was 30 Euros. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She spoke English. The room was set up with accomodations for 4 as we had requested. The loaction is excellent as it is right next to the Gare De Lyon (train station). Getting to the CDG Airport required only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop. Bus fare to CDG was 12.50 Euro per person with the 4 person discount. There are plenty of bistros for breakfast, lunch, or dinner within 5 minutes. I highly recommend!

My 15yr old daughter and I found this hotel to be excellent for our needs. We thought 7E for breakfast a little expensive by but there are plenty of places to buy food nearby. I would recommend visitors take a travel kettle. The location is perfect for the metro, Gare de Lyon for mainline trains. There is a fab walk to Notre Damme along the river and the Left Bank where there are plenty of lively bars and restaurants.

My husband and our two daughters, ages 21 and 13, enjoyed our brief stay at Hotel Palym. The room was surprisingly spacious for Paris, and it was spotlessly clean. Hotel is completing a renovation and is very comfortable. Breakfast was a bargain at 7.50 euros per person. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Location close to Bastille and Gare de Lyon is a plus. There is an excellent wine cave (Hermes and Bacchus) just a few doors down from Hotel Palym. The owners are very helpful with wine selections and they serve a light menu as well.

We found the room to be comfortable. We were actually at the Palym on two occasions. One for 7 nights was with our daughter and we booked a triple room which was short on space but certainly met our needs. I preferred the stand up shower in the room which we had as a couple for one night. The Palym is close to transportation to any tourist site in Paris. The Gare de Lyon is across the street. It is also not too far away by foot from the Bastille. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. We enjoyed the breakfast and felt the price was worthwhile as it included pastries, yogourt, fruit, cereal, coffee or tea. Staff was courteous and helpful. By Paris standards, the room rate was very reasonable. The room was clean, secure and well maintained. Laundry and internet cafe are a block away.

The hotel is surprisingly well-located for the price--right across from Gare de Lyon, and within walking distance of Gare Austerlitz. We had two rooms--a triple and double. The triple had a large window overlooking street, and beautiful, ornate original ceiling molding. The double was at the back of the property---rather dark with no view at all. Both rooms were clean and fairly spacious.

The triple room was spacious and the bathroom was good, except that the shower didn't have a curtain so the whole bathroom would get wet! Apart from that, if you are too sensitive to noise, don't stay there (or at least not in a room facing the street). I could also hear the TV in the room next door and cars passing by but I've never stayed in a well0isulated room in Paris and this one wasn't too bad! Breakfast was really good (worth 7 euros) and location was excellent. I was worried about the fact that the hotel was too close to the train station but that was actually a plus and I couldn't hear any noise from that.

Hotel davvero bello! Camere ben arredate e molto pulite e soprattutto letto matrimoniale grande (cosa insolita in Francia).

The hotel was quiet, well located and very clean. I think it represented good value for 2 adults/ 2 children . Note however, there is no mini bar and breakfast is extra for each individual. The staff were welcoming and spoke good English - my only gripe was to have to argue to take a cup of hot water to my ill wife upstairs.

The hotel met perfectly my expectations. For a 2* hotel, it is outstanding . Its location is perfect for those who intend to be near to Gare de Lyon, but do not want noise. Plenty of restaurants in the area, transportation, buses ,Metro, RER. I was quite fortunate to get a absolutely noiseless room. Brekfast is simple but the croissant is hot and delicious. Hotels in Paris are in general too expensive, so I would recommend Palym to anyone who wants a honest hotel at a honest price.

I stayed with my brother who has very differnt tastes to myself and we were both very impressed with the quality and service of Hotel Palym. Very friendly, english speeking staff. Reception was staffed 24hrs & we never needed to wait for assistance. Suitable for young and old, groups, couples and families. A good mix of guests were seen when we stayed and all seemed happy and well catered for. Breakfast was not great value for money: Juice, coffee, tea, bread, croisants, jam and yogurt were available but the croisants were often cold and hot water only on request. There were facilities near the hotel to cater for yourself which was probably better value/choice. Dont let this put you off, the hotel was contemporary and modern, clean, and well placed. Bathroom facilities seemed new and you were always guarenteed a hot powerful shower! Very good value if you miss out breakfast!
