More than half of the 3 days we stayed there, the wifi connection didn't work. It seems to me there is not enough IP address for all to use. Other than it, in general the location and value for money are quite good.

The direction to the hotel on the booking confirmation needs to be updated. Instead of taking a direct train from Gare de Norb station to the hotel, we were instructed to change trains etc . Only at our departure from the hotel did we found out that the hotel is only 3 stations away, on a direct line. Overall very pleased with the location and our spacious room. The staff speaks good English and were very helpful and friendly.

We had a real good stay at Palym Hotel. We had a little problem with french neighbours the second night, because they were really noisy. It was my fault not to call the reception immediately as I was suggested the day after. The other only thin is about breakfast that is a little too expensive for adults but really too much for kids e there is not a distinction of price. Just across the road you can have breakfast for 5.70€ (8,00 in hotel)

Conveniently located to public transportation - nice, clean, comfortable room - when they say "only 2 people at a time in elevator", they mean it, though - good restaurants in area - nice, attended breakfast room - good coffee - helpful, friendly staff -

Fantastic hotel. Great location. had quadruple room, very spacious and clean. handy for Gare de Lyon. wonderful Italian restaurant just in the street above round the corner - fantastic. Overall we loved it and are saving to return again. We had breakfast on day one but expensive for 8 euros. Patisserie just round the corner so went there instead! Loads of cafes around. Loved it.

Nice place, very clean and modern, staff is very polite and friendly. Nevertheless it's better to take a room that has a street view, because in the yard it's pretty noisy and stinky and it would be more considerable to have a breakfast outside the hotel, cause price doesn't meet the quality of the meal

I stayed in a double size room, spacious enough but not roomy, clean, but noisy at night since it is so close to the train station and the Boulevard, but the good side to it, is that it takes no time to get to the train station with the luggqge, and also the Air France Shuttle stop from CDG airport is only two minutes away. The only one thing I would like to see an improvement is in the quality of the Breakfast.

Thought this hotel was good for what you pay. The room we stayed in was starting to look a bit run down though and will probably need work done in the next couple of years. Had no issue with sound coming in from outside but could hear the guests in the next room talking and laughing at 3am every night! Overall would recommend Palym for a short stay at a good price.

We booked this hotel becasue it is very close to Gare de Lyon where we need to take the train to Avignon. As it turned out, the hotel is fairly nice by 2 stars standard. Only criticism was that the receptionist did not allow us check in even we are only 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled check-in time. However, she was polite. Also this hotel has very spacious luggage rooms seperately for arriving and departing guests and this is a plus.

Location is excellent, 5 mins from the Gare de Lyon, metro and bus stop for airport shuttle. Room abit small for a triple because of space taken up by add-on bathroom(looks like a small hut in the corner of room). The room had an airconditioner and it was certainly an invaluable feature. The neighbourhood was bustling with activities from nearby brasseries, patisseries, restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Truly excellent hotel, with attentive staff and high-quality service. The building looks dull from the outside, but the moment you step in, it feels spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. Also has a very convenient location, with Gare de Lyon a block away, with easy connections to metro, local rail, and even the TGV! Highly recommended.

What struck me especially about the hotel palym was the first look at the room--it was beautiful and so large for a paris hotel, we had a balcony as requested, with view of clocktower of gare de lyon,so convenient location--metro entrance across street. the room was so nicely decorated, moulded high ceilings, very nice colors. the bathroom was large enough, so clean, great shower. occasion for stay was leisure.

This is a real gem of a hotel - completely updated, and clean and modern. Great location just steps from Gare de Lyon, and near lots of bistros and brasseries. Beds were great, and breakfast was excellent value with good selection/quality for a Continental breakfast (buffet format). Elevator is nice to have. Bathroom very modern and clean. Our view was awful (ie. non-existant) but that wasn't a problem as we were out except to sleep. Nice lounge area to relax with a glass of wine at night. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a terrific place at a great price.

The hotel is located two minutes walk from the Gare De Lyon with good connections to both the Metro and RER systems with lots of places to eat close by. All Paris hotels have small rooms for the price and are relatively expensive. The hotel Palym was no different however from the time that we arrived we were happy with the service that we received all of the staff that we came into contact with were friendly and accomodating when dealing with our requests and were multi lingual. The room was quiet (we had requested this!) although a little cell like as it faced onto a inner chimney like courtyard, other rooms were brighter but faced onto the street. Bedding was changed every two days and the room was clean. Breakfast was typically French with the usual limited choice but it was self-service so you could eat what you wanted, there was no need to leave hungry!! Breakfast was priced at 7.50 Euro's (Sept 2010) it was in line with atlernaties close by. We would definatly recommend the hotel as a place to stay for a short break were you require a reasonable place to sleep while visiting the sites of Paris!!

A really good hotel, i don't want to under estimate it because of a very stange reaction when i asked to change my room they told me i hv to evacuate my room at 12 and put my luggage in the luggage room and then check in the new room at 2:00 !!!!!!!, this is a critical mistake that could ever happen to anybody, but i received a nice appology from the manager, except this, everything is fine the location, the room, and the surroundings, may stay there again.

I stayed at the Palym for one night with my daughter, cause we had to take a train the next day from Gare de Lyon. The staff was very friendly, the room clean and quiet, because it was going to the backside of the building. We weren't lucky with the light situation, it was very dark. It wasn't spacious as well, but I guess this is a general problem in Parisian hotels that price category. It has a nice location, you are in the middle of everything, the Metro isn't far and the street is a side street, so it isn't very loud. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel is situated in the area of the Gare de Lyon: there is a direct bus connection between the Gare and airport Charles de Gaulle, there are some brasseries and small shops around as well as the metro station. it is not directly in the center of Paris, but not far by walk (approx. 25 min. to the Iles de la Seine, 40 min to the Louvre) and with metro line 1 its easy to reach the center. The hotel itself was nice, the stuff friendly. The room was small, but clean and absolutely quiet. The only thing which some might not like is: TV has only french programms. But for me it was defenitely ok, i would absolutely book this hotel again.

Lovely small hotel situated in a quiet side street just a stones throw from Gare de Lyon. Very friendly, helpful staff. We needed somewhere to stay overnight near to the station as we had an early train to catch to Geneva, this fitted the bill perfectly. The rooms are (at least our room was) quite small but were clean and well equipped. Typical continental "eat-as-much-as-you-like" breakfast buffet (€7.50 - not included). Would recommend and use again.

The hotel was generally as reviewed by others, with our room larger than we normally see in Paris in this price range. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well as multi-lingual. Very good location for access to the metro and trains. One definite problem on this trip--the lift was broken during our entire stay. Staff, however, offered to carry up our bags to the 2nd floor upon arrival. Our room was on the street side, and with the window open there was definitely more street noise than we would have liked well into the night.

The main advantage of Hotel Palym was its location. It was a stone's throw (how far is a stones's throw? How far can you throw a stone?) from Gare de Lyon and a very doable walk to Gare Austerlitz. Thus, you can get anywhere in Paris, and most of Europe for that matter, from this location. It was down a very quiet street but near restaurants and the train and buses. The room was very quiet and clean as well as comfortable. May be a little small for families. The staff was helpful when asked though I would not say overly friendly or outgoing. But, if asked, they were accommodating. We did not eat breakfast there since there were so many options in the area. We would definitely stay here again if in Paris.

This was a great hotel. Slightly expensive but then again, it's Paris so everything is expensive! It is recently renovated so everything is nice and new. The room I stayed in was very clean with a queen size bed. It is literally around the corner from Gare de Lyon station so it was extremely convenient. The area is nicely up-beat with super market, cafes, restaurants, etc. However, it's in a small street so it was quiet and private. I would definitely go back there again and would recommend it to everyone.

I have finally found a hotel in Paris that is conveniently located for those of us who travel to Paris arriving at the Gare de Lyon, has nicely kept accommodations, not the least of which is a real baggage room, and is close to the Metro. The staff was helpful and pleasant, though there was a problem the Sunday night I was there with the night bell. I was one of two ladies left standing on the street for a few minutes because the bell did not sound so that someone could let us in. A man setting up the diningroom for breakfast saw us and let us in. Given how nicely kept the hotel is, I am sure this was fixed right away. All in all the Palym is a very nice hotel for the money, location, and service.

We stayed in a double room that was very satifying, and quiet. yet with the beautiful belfry of Gare de Lyon in sight. Very sparse traffic on this little street. The young people in the reception vere extremly friendly humourous and helpful with everything. The hotel is surrounded with cafés, restaurants and all kinds of services. Perfect for Opéra guests and if you need to dress up in formal french lawcourt attire, the shop is on the other side of the street.

The rooms at the ground floor are ideal for guests who intend to listen neverending singing of drunk French at 3am or to have great overview of all hotel guests visiting toilets. The value for price is very low and incomparable with room at the 4th floor. The personal is professional and willing in many aspects but just small advice: in case you plan to print your boarding pass, bring own printer or visit some Internet cafe. The hotel is very close to Gare de Lyon but next time we will go probably to hotel Bastile round the corner and pay 20 euro more for better isolation.

This hotel locates near by Lyyon station & Air France suttle bus stop. This is really handy and easier to access anywhere you depart. You will find the name right after you stepped off from the suttle bus. City noise was hardly heard except shutting door of the next room, you will be able to have a good sleep. There is a good bakery shop, Mono P'(supermarket), bank and bistros around the hotel.

The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is located a block from the Gare de Lyon making it easily accessible to the trains and metro. Also the bus to CDG leaves from Gare de Lyon. This is a very convenient, safe, pleasant place to stay. The breakfast is OK, good coffee, but rather expensive.

I was looking forward to my stay at Hotel Palym as I had always seen good reviews. It did not quite live up to my expectations for the price, but the cheerful and helpful ladies on the reception desk more than made up for it. I didn't like the area as well as Montparnasse for example, but there were some great cafes nearby and the Gare de Lyon itself is an adventure.

We just got back from our Europe vacation. The Hotel Palym was the nicest hotel we stayed at & had the most value for the money. It was within walking distance to the metro & train station so getting around was super easy! There were lots of cafes, patisseries, & convenience stores around the area so we had lots of choices for food depending on what we wanted to spend & how much time we had. The room was very quaint & the bed was amazing. It was so comfortable we called it the "barbituate bed." It was quiet during the night but sometimes the morning traffic could be heard once rush hour was in swing this was not a big deal though. The staff was very helpful and nice enough. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

A very nice stay. Would stay at the Palym again. Great location near public transportation for getting around Paris and to/from the airport. Hotel is well maintained. Very clean room and bathroom. Airconditioned, flat-screen TV, quiet, good breakfast. Good resturants and cafes right close by. Neighborhood looks a bit rundown, but is bohemian in it's charm. Price was more than most other cities charge for a two star, but it's Paris and you will like the place.

Good location close to Gare de Lyon and across street from Air France bus to CDG airport. Small room, but clean and modern and good price for 1 night/1 person. Close to restaurants and internet cafe.

Great hotel - very clean, great employees. Location was good as it is just across the street from the train station. Wouldn't bother buying their breakfast though - too expensive for what was offered.

After arriving from the U.S., we went to the hotel Palym and the staff was lukewarm in their reception. They gave us a place to put our bags and said there was no chance the room would be ready early (before 2). This hotel has a great location because you can see it from the train station Stazione Centrale, which is where you get the subway as well. You can get anywhere from this location, even though the location is not particulary beautiful. One good thing is that you are close to several stores and some good inexpensive restaurants so you can get water and food relatively inexpensively. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a triple and the third bed was just a cot. My sons legs were two feet off the cot. The AC worked well. I think the location close to the train station made it worthwhile.

Good points; clean reasonably sized rooms in good order, quiet (overlooking inner courtyard) free wifi, friendly staff. Bad points: none. I would use this hotel again.

This was my first stay at Hotel Palym and it would be my first choice the next time i plan to visit paris. The best part of the hotel was it was so centrally placed with eateries all over the place and the room was clean, hotel staff friendly and very helpful. The room size was very minimal, but i was only looking for a place to sleep, while i would be out most of the time, wi fi was available free of charge. very close to the gare de lyon metro, which connects to downtown with just a stop away, you could even walk to downtown from here. In short, i would definitely return. A suggestion, the prices through web are much cheaper.

In the 12e, which is the edge of Paris. A bit far from some stuff, but on the bus routes out front. The Gare de Lyon ( one of the train stations) is across the street. Plenty of restaurants, all prices. A laundry near, a great boulangerie for delicious breads and sandwiches or quiches. Small store for sodas, tylenol, batteries around the corner. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Hotel quiet, affordable and had AC.

There was a lot of uneasiness without letting pass the overseas traveling alone / travel agency because it was the first time, but the hotel of this place was splendid at all. At first I was impressed by the interior decoration that was totally same as a photograph of HP. In the hotel of this place, a photograph is just clean. There is not the lie. The area that the room is not large, but is enough alone. There is a semi-double, and single Bet can sleep in room. I think that interior calms down cutely, and the woman is liked. In addition, it was the room where the courtyard was seen, but this was wonderful like Paris. It is the hotel which is quiet though the noise is near without all (but known a little from the neighboring room) from the station. The atmosphere that the shower room restroom is chic by a grain of wood and a white tile. It is very clean, and even a woman can stay in peace. When the station goes out of the third exit soon so that I see it from a hotel, I do not suffer to a hotel for one minute either. The peace and order have any problem with none of the women immediately at night to a hotel at the latest. The station is attention when I make a mistake in an exit because I am very big because there is the place to suffer from on foot for around 10 minutes. There is Monop' to around 1 minute, too and opens until 21:00. It is put to vegetables and cheese, sandwich dessert / sushi. The staff of the hotel always met you with a smile. I cannot speak both French and the English. However, it was all right. In addition, I want to use it by all means when I go to Paris. It is the very splendid hotel where even woman one can stay at in peace

This is my second stay at Hotel Palym. Everything was wonderful, just as last year. The only thing I might suggest is a slightly more substantial breakfast offering (such as, perhaps, some cheese, some more fruit?). I'd be willing to pay more for this option. But I have no complaints at all about Hotel Palym. It has an excellent "price/quality" ratio!! I will stay here again for sure

This was the second time we stayed at Palym and we will never stay anywhere else in Paris. The quality you get for your money is unbelievable. Counting in this Hotel's favour, is its location - opposite the Gare de Lyon. It is easy to travel with the Air France bus to and from the airports and there are lots of buses to take you just about everywhere. You also have access to the Metro and can really get anywhere in a few minutes. The staff at the reception desk are so friendly and speak English fluently.

This is our 1st trip to Europe. Initially, we were abit panic as we were not able to find our way to the hotel but when we finally found, we were so relieve to see such a nice hotel. The hotel is really just opposite the train station but when we asked for direction from the staff at the train station, they adviced us to go to another train station which is totally wrong! In the end, a road sweeper gave us the correct direction. The hotel staff are excellent, they speak English when they know we cannot understand French. They are very polite and helpful, you can ask them where are the places to visit and where to find nice food. They provide free and stable wireless internet connection. We got a Quad room which has excellent room space and is well decorated. The bathroom is spacious too. The train station is just a few station from the places of interest. Very convenient. Overall, I am very satisfied.

I found the hotel a very pleasant place to stay. The room was a little small, but this was not a huge problem. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. I am an Irishwoman living in France and I speak good French, but I noticed the staff interacting very well with some English speakers, the particular staff member appeared to have excellent English and was patient and kind to the guests concerned. Overall, I would reccommend the Hotel Palym to visitors to Paris. The area is also very pleasant, with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. It is also convenient for the metro, and the bus for Charles de Gaulle airport stops right outside the Gare de Lyon.

Fantastic location -- practically across the street from Gare de Lyon; plenty of restaurants nearby (both cheap and higher end); multiple working electrical outlets in the room (more rare than not in my experience of similarly priced hotels elsewhere in France). A pleasant room both to rest and work in (free wireless); superb water pressure in the shower (and the three-panel door is genius); staff respected the "Do Not Disturb" sign but promptly tidied room when I left for the day. Nearby meals included Chez Leon, a couscous place (clearly a favorite with locals as well as tourists), Chinese takeout, and takeout espresso from a cafe in Gare de Lyon. Lots of rollerbladers in the neighborhood the Sunday I was there.

My entire family enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Palymn. My daughter liked the window overlooking the street. My wife and I liked the hotel's proximity to the Gare de Lyon, and RER and Metro stops. The staff at the frontdesk were very helpful.

Exelente relacion precio/calidad/ubicacion. Lo recomiendo y desde ya que volveria.

This is a very nice hotel, it is located very close to metro amd train. It takes around 45-50min from CDG airport to get to the hotel. The room was very cute and clean, exactly as on the pictures! Helpfull employees. The window of my room overlooked the backyard, maybe the look wasn't so nice, but it was very quite.
