The only problem I had was that the room telephone did not work and I had to negociate with a night employee to change the room.It took a while but they gave me another spacious room. The room was classical french style and nice. I appreciated the breakfast very much!

Having done quite a bit of research on Paris Hotels, I found that although this hotel was expensive compared to Canadian standards ($320 Cdn dollars as compared to an average of $120 a night for a quad occupancy in a Canadian Hotel with continental), it was fairly average price as far as Paris hotels were concerned. The hotel itself was quaint, although on one day their 2 person elevator broke down and although this didn't bother me too much, it was harder on my parents who had accompanied us and were staying in an adjacent room on the top (5th floor). The room itself was a good size and comfortable and the area was central, which allowed us to walk to many of the tourist sites, for the 2 days we were in Paris. Because we were inflexible with the dates of our stay, due to a family wedding in Belgium following our Paris visit, I thought we got as good as we could considering the busy season at Christmas. In the future I would definitely shop around and attempt to get a better deal. However, with a family of 4 with two teenage daughters, I found our options were very limited in Paris and next time we go back it will probably be easier if it is just my wife and myself. A quad occupancy room, which is standard in North America is definitely a rare beast in Paris and with the added cost they charge for it. That being said, it was a nice hotel and if I could afford it I would go again. I also enjoyed the bakery and 2 convenience stores on the same short street which allowed us to have picnics in our room in the evenings.

I liked its quiet location. For some one younger thea area might seem a little too quiet. For me it was peaceful, simple and was everything it claimed to be. But then I am in my mid-seventies.

Breakfast, compared to hotels in other countries, was meager. Musee Rodin is around the corner, the Invalides and Musee d'Orsay are in walking distance.

Almost everything was satisfactory. We did not get washcloths for the last two days of our stay and one of the hotel employees was less than personable, although he was effecient.

I was on a mini break travelling from the UK. Single traveller staying in a Single Room. The room was a little small, but fine for just one person. Front desk was always helpful. It's in a really good location, centrally located and the metro is right around the corner. Shops and ATM all located really closeby for anything I needed. I didn't want to leave but had to go back to reality after 3 days. The shower was small too but I was able to maneuver. A larger person might have trouble in the single room shower. I would stay here again, absolutely!

Travelled with a friend for leisure. Very clean bathroom and bed. But room could have been cleaner.Friendly staff. Old building and thin walls, so a little noise from other rooms, but quiet during night. Poor breakfast!

Really good hotel. The only annoying part for me is pestering front desk employees asking for keys whenever I left the hotel even to smoke. One person was really friendly, the other person though not unfriendly had a tendency to ignore you. As far as the rooms were concerned they were very good. Best part about this hotel is it is in a safe area, not far from a metro, and 90% of the attractions are walkable.

Great location, within walking distance of Invalides, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame and Pompidou etc. Lovely, clean & comfortable room with children sleeping in small annex to our main room so they felt independent but close to us at the same time. Pleasant, functional hotel - no frills, (TV & fridge did not work) but with so much on offer in Paris, who wants to stay in their hotel all day?

I stayed here with three other young women in early June 2007. The hotel is close to the Musee Rodin metro station and in a very safe, quiet area of town. It wasn't too far of a walk to Les Invalides or the Eiffel Tower-- we could even see part of it from our window. The only thing I did not like about our stay was that when we called to cancel the first night the day before the hotel staff said they would be unable to do so because it was tourist season. That really didn't make sense to me; I should think they would have had an easier time giving the room to someone else in the high season. So we paid for 6 nights but only stayed for 5. Other than that one instance, I enjoyed our time there and would stay again.

We were a family of three: grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter traveling for the first time in Paris. The hotel had a very courteous and helpful staff. The continental breakfast provided was delicious. We reserved a superior triple and were given a quad for the same price. Our room size was fine, the bathroom was small but newly remodeled. Our only complaint was that the bedspreads were white and appeared to need laundering or replaced.

Great location and friendly staff. I never had any problems w/ my room, but my father had a small room w/ a tiny shower (he's 6'2" tall and 250 lbs and barely fit in there)...mine was a good sized room for Europe's standards and had a big bathtub. If you book and want a big room then get the double...I recommend room #8. I will stay there again my next time in Paris.

The location and condition of the Palais Bourbon was excellent. I was disappointed in the lack of friendliness in the front desk staff. At least a third did not speak English and were dismissive of my attempts at French. The maids and room service, however, was very efficient and friendly.

It's a great hotel with an excellent location to explore Paris. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Rodin, Louvre and D'Orsay Museums, The Tomb of Napoleon. The Metro station is just nearby. The hotel being closed to the government offices is very safe at night - there are police officers in most corners. Can't wait to go back to Paris again. We had a wonderful experience overall despite it's our first visit to Paris.

I summarize Palais Bourbon as a hotel central to everything but close to nothing. The hotel has excellent amenities. I travelled with my 2 teenage daughters. The room was very spacious. The A/C added much needed comfort from the summer humidity. The flat panel LCD TV was a nice modern amenity. The bathroom was amply spacious and even included both shower and tub and a bidet. The beds were comfortable and included a queen for my two daughters and a single for me. Internet Wi-Fi service was available for an additional charge. The included continental breakfast was good and consisted of coffee, croissants, bread, and hot chocolate. The location was close to Invalides. The Eiffel Tower was a 25 minute walk. The popular Saint Germain area was also a 25 minute walk, and the Concorde was probably a 30 minute walk. A few doors down the block was a grocery store from where we purchased sandwiches, fruits, drinks, and snacks. The surrounding area had a few small shops and several government buildings. Most of the shops were closed on the weekend. The road (rue de Bourgogne) in front of the hotel had a moderate amount of traffic which sounded louder than it should have because the noise echoed between the stone buildings on both sides of the narrow road. Our room faced the road, and it was necessary to close the windows in order to block the traffic noise. Even a lone car at night sounded very loud when the windows were open. The downside was that this location was void of any activity and people after 7PM. Twice we walked from Saint Germain to the hotel at 11PM. The streets were empty except for police near the government buildings. I would recommend that one take a taxi back to the hotel at night. If you want a hotel with modern amenities and spacious rooms at an affordable price, then Palais Bourbon is a good choice. If you want a hotel closer to night-life, shops and restaurants, then Palais Bourbon is not a good choice.

We stayed at Palais Du Bourbon for a few days in early August after cruising the Meditteranean for 11 days. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Paris and only regret that we didn't have more time. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. If you are looking for an economically priced hotel that is centrally located to all attractions...look no further.

We stayed 4 nights. Basic continental breakfast--but did the job. Helpful service attendants. Great location for seeing all the Paris sights. Clean room, and we had top floor room with good view. Bit noisy street, but that's Paris. Loved the convenient local grocery and banks on same block. We would definitely stay again.

I can see why this hotel pops up time and again when looking for a good value in Paris. It is a fine hotel, in a great location, in a city where similar hotels often cost much more. The staff was helpful, good breakfast, and great neighbhorhood. Close to a couple of groceries, ATM's, and patisseries and the Metro. What more could you want?

Spacious, clean, quiet 4 bed room in a good location for exploring Paris. Breakfast uninspiring (1 croissant and 1 roll & jam per person with tea or coffee or chocolate - delivered to table) but all other aspects were excellent. V small lift (3 person max)- lots of stairs for the energetic ones. Felt safe & secure at all times. V nice restaurant, supermarket and bakers nearby. Need to go further afield for more restaurants.

This was our first trip to Paris. The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance to many sights. Metro was a block away. Surroundings were nice. The Hotel is comfortable enough but a bit tired. Great location, close to Metro and a walk to the Louvre. Simple continental breakfast but enough for us. The weekend concierge was very helpful but the weekday one was less so. No frills but would recommend based on location.

Overall, we were happy with this hotel. Our room was spacious for a Paris hotel, and quiet as it was at the back of the building. Our bed was large and very comfortable. The hotel is on a pleasant street not far from a Metro station, with small restaurants, food shops, a good patisserie and other shops nearby. The area is interesting as it houses the main government buildings, and it's a nice walk to the Musee d'Orsay or St Germain.

The Palais Bourbon was an excellent place to stay. It was a close walk to many main attractions and the metro which is fantastic. We stayed in the quadruple room which was a little small as in most of Europe, but it was very clean and more than adequate for us. The street it is located in, is surprisingly quiet and has a number of places to find food. Breakfast was basic coffee/tea and croissant and rolls, but the location more than compensated for us. Staff were very helpful and polite. We felt it was good value.

First time in this hotel and first time in this type of hotel in Paris. This hotel is in excellent location to explore most of the major sites by walking. Car parking in the street is next to impossible, therefore access by car would be very difficult. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak English well. We both enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.

The location was unbeatable. We walked pretty much everywhere. With the National Assembly at one end of the road there were always police nearby, so the area was extremely safe. Great value/Would Stay Again.Right around the corner from the Varenne Metro station on Line 13. This was my first visit to Paris. Stayed 1st wk of December, well heated. NO clock/alarm. TV w/CNNin English, most other stations in French.Breakfast was a croissant and fabulous roll/jelly/butter & coffee/tea/hotchocolate. I found the accomodations exactly what I needed for one week of museum, Paris street exploration, and close metro. Palais Bourbon will be top of my list, unless I can find someone else to pick up the tab. Great service, great breakfast, great front-desk personnel. It's located a short block from the Rodin museum, a half-dozen blocks to the Seine, with immediately, on the other side, Des Champs Elysees, the Tuilleries Gardens, and on and on.

The hoel is situated in a nice street and area. We found it easy to access everything we wanted to via the metro station near the hotel. The supermarket came in handy. The 24 hour reception desk was very good as our flight was cancelled and we did not arrive at the hotel until 1am. Breakfast was very good and having the option of having it served in our room meant that we could get a little extra sleep. The breakfast maids were happy and efficient however if the person in the room near you has ordered breakfast earlier than you, you will be woken by the delivery of it.

We stayed four nights in early Sept. 2005, our first visit to Paris. We were in a double room on the fifth floor. The room was much bigger than we had feared, after reading all about the "small Paris standards". The bathroom was about the same size as any hotel bath, and the towels and linens were very clean. The A/C wasn't up to midwest USA standards where it's hot and muggy, but it was OK. We liked the location, as you could walk to the Eiffel Tower in one direction and to the Seine in another, and neither were much effort. The Rodin museum is just down the street and a subway station is about halfway around the block (we figured out the system without too many problems - buy a multi-day pass). Breakfast is the same everyday, but enough to get you started, and two markets are on the same block if you want something else. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and would recommend it highly!
