As for me the only advantage of this hotel is it's placement in the city. The hotel is very small. We spent there 5 days in the end of october and every day and night were the great problems with central heating, it was really very cold and wet in the room. Staff tried to repaire it and only on the fifth day of our stay it began to work properly. It's a chineese hotel, when we came there in the next room there were nearly 8 china man who shouted the whole evening and the half of the night. I didn't sleep that night at all. Probably in summer someone can stay there, but in winter i can't advise to somebody to stay there, because of such problems with central heating

The owners are really nice and speak english very well. The room was cleaned every day. It wasnt quiet thanks to the people in the next room, but for me it was okay having spent the nights before in a dorm. Also the beds were quit challenging, although i slept very well. The neighboring area is interesting with its large Asian community.

For check in I was given a form to sign, which among a zillion of other things said that a fine for smoking in the room is 1000 pounds. With such a big fine "on offer" one expects to be at least warned by the staff, while checking in. But there was no warning. One of my family members arrived earlier than me and did smoke in the room, being not aware of the form, which contained the clause regarding the fine. On the top of that smoke detector in our room was covered with duct tape, which was strange, but not our business, but sort of gave an impression that it is a room where one could smoke, especially taking into account a fact that there were no signs forbidding smoking in the room. Anyway, when we were checking out we were asked to pay a fine of 1000 pounds. With all respect for non smoking policies this one looked like an ambush in order to make more money. And of course staff was not able to justify the amount. I wondered why not to have a fine of a billion of pounds, provided there are no warnings, check in form is in fine print and customer is tired after the trip, thus not attentive enough. And then cash in. Never again will I stay in this establishment.

I checked out after the first night of my planned three night stay. The room was physically uncomfortable and dirty. I can't recommend this property in spite of the fact that the owner was very nice.

I'm not sure what is the Paris price increase factor but on average I would expect a price of less the 50Euro instead of 60 Euro. Property is not the newest. It is a very simple building. Still in general the stay was pleasant and the staff very friendly. I would advice this hotel only as "second" choice .

The hotel is near to the metro station. the room are small but clean, I only stay in hotel to sleep and was good. The area is quite and I slept very well. The couple that run the hotel is nice. If you are looking for a cheap hotel (for Paris)I think is good.

For being Paris this hotel is rather cheap and worth the money. Location is OK, 10 minute walk from place d'italie and very close to the metro station. Rooms are not that sound proof (as said on the web page) but the staff is nice and the cleaning of rooms is good and I would recomend this place to people who dont have very high demands and aren't planning on spending that much time in the room.

I would recommend others not to book this poor spot anymore, poor facility -- double room, only one poor chair, you have to sit on poor bed; only one tower for all; no closet, no nothing, poor/no service,.....and not cheap compare to its facility and service.

Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel in an OK part of town, close to metro. Room was a bit disappointing - shabby, musty, slightly dirty and badly in need of a refit, but tolerable for the price.

From outside the hotel seems to be restored not long ago while the reception and the rooms are quite old but clean. It is cheap (even if it's not the cheapest one) and is close to the metro stop (200m). I reccomend it but you have to adapt yourself...

This hotel is in the middle of China town, nothing wrong with that. Try parking near the hotel! It cost over 10 euros per day to park on a side street. The hotel looked like it had not had paint or new wallpaper near it since De Gaulle was a boy!A contortionist would have been at home in the shoe box sized bathroom!I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Paris, and this one was the worst yet. Sorry but Nul pointe!

You should take this hotel out of your list. Maybe the location is ok( midden in the chinese area) and also the price is cheap for this area, i don't know, since it was my first time in Paris but the service in this hotel is terrible. I paid 60 Euro for the room and for the 2 kids (1 and 3 years old) i had to pay 30Euro extra, so 90 Euro for a small room and they denied to bring us some extra mattresse. And when we ask for a dish to warm up some food we had bought in their microwave, they told us to bring the food to the restaraunt we had bought the food to had it done there.

BED BUGS!!! The mattresses were so old that you could easily feel the springs in your face. Although the sheets looked clean it was not until my son woke up yelling at 3:30am, complaining about something crawling on him, that we checked the sheets on both beds, lo and behold...BED BUGS!!! The caretaker offered "new sheets" and I replied "new hotel". Off we traipsed, at 5am on Oct 29th to Hotel Choissy . There were no bed bugs, the bed was infinitely more comfortable and the room was more spacious. I don't recommend you take breakfast there though because croissant and coffee could be purchased for less in any number of cafes along Ave Choissy or on your way to the Metro. It is now 11 Nov and my son and I are still dealing with the itching and sores from the "BED BUGS". DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL NOVEX!!!

I enjoy the time I spend at this hotel, it's a quiet place in the heart of chinatown Paris! An hotel at half a mile from Italy's place, with subway nearby, line 7, which is small but warm, the people and employees are kind and wellcomming! I will return to that place when I'll go back to Paris.

Overall stay was excellent. But I would like to comment on my request upon arrival to shorten my stay from three nights that I reserved to only 2 nights which was not granted by the hotel management. We actually on spent 2 nights but was asked to pay upon regristration the 3 nights that I reserved. I think it is not fair that we have to pay an accomodation that we have not used, it could have been acceptable if they just charged us with a reasonable penalty.

This is a lowbudget hotel where the price quality is good. We stayed with 2P and paid Eur54. The hotel personel are chinese and are very friendly people. Hotel is based in side street of Avenue d'italie and is quite. It is a chinese neighbourhood with lot of chinese restaurant, alos chinese mcdonalds. Free parking in August and on Avenue d'Italie max 2H for 1eur p/h. Chinese on the street of hotel was very cheap and delicious. Very nice hotel for stay for 1 or 2 days is you want to want to visit Paris and do not have high requirements.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and it was a complete disappointment. The rooms were small and smelly and it was located in Chinatown so you didn't really get the feeling of being in France. Luckily there were the subway close to the hotel so we could get into town. I wouldn't stay here again, there are definetely better hotels in Paris for about the same amount of money!

Situated in convenient China Town in Paris, the hotel added value for many choise of good food and convenience to travel to airport, PER station and subways. The price of room is very cheap, so please do not expect a lot. My room has big bed, table with light, big jacket hanging bar and tiny shower space. Toilet was off-set due to water sink interfares to sit on straigt. Room was so quiet. Thanks to my quiet neighbour and hotel policy not to install TV in Guest room. The breakfast is enjoyable compare to the price. If you want TV, internet connection, lounge bar or other charm, go other place. This hotel is for budjet travel enthusiasist.

This is a good place to stay if you want to economize. The room we had was really quiet but very small. We loved the neighborhood. We would be unlikely to stay again only because we found another hotel a the same price with a bigger and nicer room where we stayed later in Paris.

Paris on a tight budget, but great. Basic but clean rooms in small hotel owned and run by a delightful couple who speak good English. Lift works, plenty of hot water, cast iron radiator, fresh sheets and towels daily, comfortable mattress. 5 mins walk from Maison Blanche Metro (direct line to Louvre),or Bus 47 (Bus maps available from Metro stations). It is in the heart of the vibrant Oriental area, full of very reasonably priced small restaurants, and shops selling fresh fruit, snacks and whole cooked meals from Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Korea,... as well as a sumptuous real French boulangerie. Felt very safe and well looked after, will definitely stay again.

Novex is not a hotel. It is a hostel. The pillow was really dirty and I did not dare to inform the hotel owner who criticized those who called me of calling me so late at night!!! One night I found a baby cockroach in my bed which persisitently did not want to leave my bed! I just thanked God that my wife was not with me on this trip, otherwise we had leave this place. Something else which is really irritating is that this place is terribly nosiferous and you cannot really sleep till 3 o'clock in the morning. the neighborhood play ping pong all the day and night long and the guests make a lot of noises all the time around (of course, it is due to the very thin prefabricated walls which transmit every bit of sound). The bathroom and services where so small that if you are a fat guy around 100 Kg, it is better to forget about this place. Overall I will not go to this place again. I prefer pay a bunch of euros more and stay in a decent place. I do not want to take pain killers or tranquilizers to go to sleep after a day long exploring Paris.
