This hotel was very charming and comfortable, especially our top-floor room that was quiet with pleasant views of the courtyard and Eiffel Tower. The breakfast included is also top quality. The staff was very helpful except for two incidents when we asked for assistance with a wine purchase and in calling a taxi - both times the hotel mislead us and sold us their own over-priced wine and car/driver service rather than a regular taxi that we had asked for. We learned an expensive lesson that marred our visit to the hotel which is a shame, because it stops me from wholeheartedly recommending the hotel.

Hotel Nicolo is an excellent value for accommodations in Paris. The hotel has about 30 rooms on seven floors including the ground floor with most floors having four rooms, two large end rooms and two smaller middle rooms. We had one of the end rooms which provides a lot of space around the queen size bed. The bathroom is small but adequate with hair dryer and a bath with shower. There was no curtain or door on the tub so you needed to be careful not to get water all over the bath when taking a shower. Both the room and bath were very clean and well maintained. Marc staffed the reception desk for most of the days of our stay. He was very friendly and helpful making reservations for us on several occasions. The other staff was also friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included with the room. Usually yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, pastries, croissants, and baguette were provided along with coffee, tea, and fruit juice were served. All items were fresh. The internet fee was 3 Euros for the entire stay (not per day). There is a small elevator squeezed into the stairwell which stops at the landings between floors so you need to carry your luggage one-half-flight at the beginning and end of your journey to your room. The garden in the courtyard leading to the hotel entrance is lovely. We had wine there on several afternoons provided by the hotel for 6 Euros per glass. The hotel entrance off Rue Nicolo only has a small, lighted standard Tourist Hotel sign which might be easy to miss. The entrance is near the Rue de Passy end of the street. The neighborhood is quiet making for a relaxing stay. Rue de Passy has a number of small but nice stores. There are also some nice small restaurants in the area. There are two Metro stations with easy walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nicolo. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a more affordable place to stay in Paris. Within walking distance to the Eiffel tower and the Metro. Would definitely stay there again. The breakfast room was small so we would not recommend it to families with multiple children.

This was the first time we stayed at Hotel Nicolo and my sister-in-law's first visit to Paris. The location was ideal for exploring the city. Our room was fairly small but was spotlessly clean. We did hear a lot of noise from people coming in very late at night but the breakfast was superb and the staff very welcoming and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Delicious breakfast was the key outstanding feature in this cute hotel. Room was average Paris size I guess, not too bad. Clean except the walls needed a good cleaning. Small bathroom but perfectly adequate and I think good value for money. About 500-600m from two different metro stations.

This 2 stars hotel is far better than the 3 stars I previously experienced in Paris. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast excellent and the little garden lovely. To make this hotel perfect, one would have to provide free internet access. When travelling professionally I would never come to an hotel where this is not the case.

Strong smell of mold in bathroom and dripping toilet. Room small and a bit dingy. No air condition. On the plus side: Nice breakfast included in price and friendly day staff. Safe and nice location in residential area close to the tourist sights. Would however not go back based on the condition of the rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nicolo hotel. Perfect location, perfect price. You do not need more than that to enjoy one of the most fun cities in the world. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff is really nice and available 24/7. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good quality/price ratio. We also loved the character of the place. You feel like you have your own little apartment.

A good, clean, comfortable base from which to explore Paris. A pleasant area locally so you do not have to go far of an evening (assuming you don't want to) but within easy reach of the rest of Paris via Passy or La Muette metro stations or by foot if you are a bit more energetic.

Friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome, something which is often lacking in other hotels. Breakfast was always served promptly. Room was small, but tastefully furnished, had windows that opened and really comfortable beds. Modern bathroom had a large shower. Courtyard full of flowers was a little oasis from the heat and noise of Paris.

We were on the 6th floor with a limited view of the Eiffel Tower. This hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful daily breakfast of fresh croissants and baguettes with jam. There was construction on our floor since they're extending to the 7th floor but it wasn't disruptive and didn't bother us at all. Excellent staff and decent-sized rooms with antique decor. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great value in a good location near the metro and river. Only negative. We didn't find many bars/restaurants in the area except one called Aero on Passy street which was extremely overpriced and obviously geared to tourists. So we walked to our favourite restarant area on Rue Cler (hidden gem!!!) instead for food.

The Hotel Nicolo is an excellent value anywhere, and particularly in the middle of Paris. Rooms are very small, but that is typical for middle of Paris. Short walk to Eiffel Tower. For fashion shoppers, excellent location near rue Passy. Internet in the room is not included in price, but reasonable surcharge at 3 Euro for several days. Wireless internet is slow and sending emails would work sometimes, then not work next - no obvious solution. Bathroom and room were both spotless and beautifully maintained. Quiet location with view onto attractive courtyard below. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Close to metro, tourist buses, Effel Tower, Trocadero garden. Room was not big, but comfortable and clean. Only NO: No shower curtain in the bathroom!!!water was everywere, or you need take shower sitting on you knees. And take shampoo, shower gel with you, because only what you have is tiny soap.

We stayed for nine nights. Arrived after 1am with no problems at all (the room was ready and the person at the reception knew who we were before we said anything - very friendly, by the way). Our room was in front of the little garden the hotel has. We had the breakfast there every morning which was just delightful. The breakfast, itself, was very good. Fresh products, homemade cake, delicious bread and fruit. All served by a very nice lady. The hotel is quite charming. Decorated in a very personal style, quite different from the mainstream impersonal hotels we are used to book. After a tiring day of sightseeing across Paris, it was comforting the idea of returning to such a beautiful, relaxing place. In Paris, i will choose no other hotel.

Hotel was quiet, the service friendly and efficient, the breakfast tasty, and location close to the Eiffel Tower and convenient to the metro. Not sure about older travelers as the elevator was quite small and the stairways steep with many floors.

We stayed at hotel Nicolo for only 2 nights but we would have stayed longer if we could. The room that we had was excellent (quiet, because it corresponded with some kind of a roof with a little garden on it- nr. 52, beautifully decorated, with a comfortable twin bed, extra large). The hotel is situated in a very quiet area in Paris (rue Nicolo is a calm little street that comes to rue de Passy, a larger street but not so circulated by cars, with elegant shops on it, and the hotel is situated in a inner garden, with beautiful flowers, not having windows with direct view on the street). There are a lot of restaurants on rue de Passy (French, Chinese, and Vietnamese) and the metro stations are situated only 3-4 minutes walk. A beautiful experience. I think it is a very inexpensive hotel for the area is situated in and for the services they provide. PS They have an elevator, do not worry

Stayed at the Hotel Nicolo during a week's vacation in Paris with my wife. We very much liked the neighborhood, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the good water pressure (even on the 4th floor), the nice TV, the ceiling fan, and the friendly staff. Our only suggestion would be to expand the breakfast offerings beyond croissants and baguettes. (Juice and a hot beverage were also included.) Even though the bread was fresh and of good quality, by third morning, we would have given anything for some yogurt or cereal. Other than that, we have nothing but good things to say about the Nicolo and would definitely stay there again.

The room was smaller than I expected and the shower stall had no curtain so water got all over the floor despite your best efforts. But otherwise, it was very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the price was reasonable. The location is a bit far for most tourist sites, except for the Eiffel Tower, which was an easy walk. But I was there for a conference at the Palais des Congres, which was an easy commute. Overall, a very good experience.

The elevator can be a problem depending on the size of your luggage. If your bags are too large you are going to end up carrying them up the stairs (we were on the 5th floor). The courtyard is sectioned (part for hotel, part for adjoinging apartments) so you are at the mercy of the apartment inhabitants for your outdoor silence in the evening. Breakfast was included (coffee, tea, juice, baguettes, croissants, jam) and served to you in the breakfast nook. It is a bit of a walk to the Eiffel Tower and trocadero, but worth every step. The Passey metro station is closest and is fine when your hands are empty for your sightseeing, but on your first visit from the airport take a 40Euro cab instead of having to deal with your luggage on the hilly, narrow cobblestone streets and sidewalks.

A clean & comfortable hotel with a little bit of charm located not to far from the Eiffel tower. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast served consisted of fresh breads and jams. The only down side is that there were not many restaurants in the immediate area. Also the station was a good 5 to 10 minute walk.
