Poor welcoming. Too noisy. This hotel is not smoking free. No way to plug computer or other electrical device. It is necessary to have TV in each room. Room must be swept everyday !

The staff was quite friendly. The rooms very small and the doors have a little gap at the bottom, so that you hear everything that passes on the corridor. We had to tell the staff three times that there is only one towel for two persons. The Wi-fi is organized very badly: you get a code only for 4 or 8 hours and have to ask for a new one as soon as the old one expires.

I had a room with a shower which was ok - many do not and there are shared facilities. toilet is separate and clean but very small space and old. Hotel is very convenient for Monmartre so if on a budget I would recommend but only for a few nights

This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in my life, dirty and mistreated. There was mold in the bathroom, dirty toilets, uncared facilities. I guess a room for 50 euros in Paris is impossible to find, so you get what you pay for.

Perfect small hotel. Staff was really nice and helpful. My windows looked out onto the street and it was wonderful to hear and see people walking around and enjoying themselves. I was just surprised that the price on the Internet was several EUROS more than the prices quoted in the hotel and I was a little disappointed to see a cat in the lobby. To me, those are animals that you have in your place of residence, not a business because some people are highly allergic (this may be a cultural difference where animals are excepted everywhere???). However, in spite of the above mentioned, I still thought it was a nice place and enjoyed my stay. I would certainly come back. Great location. Very convenient to EVERYTHING.

Very friendly staff! the shared toilet was sometimes dirty but it was cleaned at least once a day (maybe more often, we weren't staying inside during the day). Rooms clean, the walls were visually a little worn out. The wifi only ranges to the rooms on the first floor above the lobby, not to the upper levels. The surrounding is rather busy but the windows isolate the noise really well. All in all I'd recommend it to friends, the value for money is good (given that paris is generally rather expensive).

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days and we chose it because it was the chepeast we found. It's ugly and unconfortable, but it was enough to rest. If you have more money to spend in another hotel, do it. If you're broke or confort isn't important for you, that's a good option.

I stayed for 3 nights and met a few staff. They were all very friendly and helpful and they speak perfect English. The wireless internet connection was good. The room was not very big, but I think it's reasonable for the price. Anyway, I spent most of the time in Paris, only returned to the hotel to sleep, so I had no problem. Although I chose the single room without shower, the bathroom on the floor was seldom occupied. There are a lot of bars & brasserie nearby that open until late night, although the place might not be very safe at very late night.

First time in Paris. Check-in went fine with my minimal French. Check-in hostess was cheerful and efficient. The room I stayed in had a very poor lock, but I wasn't worried as I had brought nothing valuable with me. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Hotel is located a few blocks from La Pigalle red-light district which I found a little ironic being situated just below Sacre Coeur/Montmarte. I had an odd experience the morning I left. The desk clerk wanted me to leave my keys with him as I was going out for breakfast. I refused, as this was the first time anyone had asked, and I had a funny feeling about him.

You can't go to Paris, pay £34 a night and expect luxury. It's not going to happen. This place is cheap for a number of reasons. It's 30 years out of date, there are no en suites, you don't feel particularly at home, the rooms are tiny, my room stank of smoke and with zero luxuries. However, on the plus side the sheets were spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, the room was warm if you needed it to be and double glazing meant it wasn't noisy at night at all. It's location for the price is excellent - that's what you're really paying for - opposite handy Metro and 5 mins walk from Monmarte / Sacre Coeur. Not for the faint hearted but better than being in the sticks with an hours journey into the city costing €10+ each way.

The metro is conveniently located across the street. The area is filthy. In the early evenings you literally wade through garbage. All along the blvd., in the middle is a tree lined area filled with many drunk men, who have no qualms about urinating in public or making lewd suggestions. There were lots of people about at night, but the area had such a creepy, seedy feeling to it. As you go up the stairs to the reception area your nose is assaulted by the overwhelming stench of cat urine. It made me reluctant to go in, but it was too late to cancel without having to pay. I was surprised that we were required to pay in advance for our 2 night stay without seeing the room. The room was too small for the beds, but there was adequate space to unpack. The shower did not drain, so you here in water up to your ankles and the stall leaked. Sleep was almost impossible. The guests weren't noisy, but there is a loud doorbell for the staff, which rang loudly whenever someone passed reception. It rang all night long. There must be a better way to keep the clerk awake. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because I was so put off by the cat hair and urine. The breakfast area was next to reception and I didn't see any happy faces eating breakfast, only goat faces with wrinkled noses. I didn't care about sharing the toilet down the hall and think I would have been better off at a hostel. You couldn't really mingle with anyone because everyone rushed to get away from that horrible smell.

Good hotel, just 2 min away from Metro Anvers and indeed close to Montmatre. Parking in the nearby parkinglot 'Anvers' cost about €22 per day (24 hours). Rooms were clean, a bit small, but cosy in a sence. The only negative thing is that our host tried to let us pay more. But when I showed the price again at the confirmation I printed, she agreed with us. Travelled with 2 couples. There was quitte some difference in the size of the 2 rooms.

We only stayed there one night, but found the room to be satisfactory for our needs. The lock confused us to start with (just keep turning clockwise!), but once we got in we found the room to not be too bad. The wallpaper was peeling off in places and the shower went from warm to scalding and back without warning, but the furniture was nice, with a cute little desk in the corner and a wardrobe with hangers supplied. The toilet was on the other side of the hotel and the view from our window was onto the street which could get quite noisy with the window open. For the price I probably wouldn't stay there again, as I personally found the shared bathroom in my other hotel to be adequate and would therefore use the money to get a more central hotel without an ensuite shower. I would recommend this hotel as a good option, as it's right next to a metro station (Anvers) and seemed to be in a decent neighbourhood.

The room was quite small, but nice. We had booked a double room, but got twin beds. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is on the cusp of less than desirable neighbourhood.

Good place to stay for the night. A bit out of the way relative to the rest of Paris, but very convenient location as Montmartre goes. Bed in single was larger than I expected and the window looked outside, instead of into a elevator shaft, like so many do. Overall, fine for the money.

really a cheap hotel, good when you have only a few hours to sleep after a good concert at La Locomotive, or at La cigale or at Elysee Montmartre, it's just 5 minute-walk from there !

The rooms were a little small. The shower didn't work at our floor. For people who are used to luxery it might not be an option. Nevertheless I would certainly recommend this hotel. It is really near the Sacre Coeur. The surroundings are safe. There is a metroline and parking right before the entrance of the hotel. We slept well. The breakfast was good.

Small room and nice view to the Bd de Rochechouart. Thin walls but not too loud nights. Pretty good location and low price!

This is a cheap hotel and for what we paid (about 25 Euro per person/per night) it was pretty good. Clean room, nice little touches like soap, plastic cups, towels included. The bathroom had plenty of toilet paper (shared bathroom) but the shower (shared) gave me some headache as it was a handheld so you had to hold it in one hand and clean yourself with the other and there was never enough hot water, but it was clean. The staff simply gave us our key and took our money, but whatever. It's a cheap place to sleep, it was a lot cleaner than most places at that price. Fairly good location, near a grocery store and across the street from internet and a 3 minute walk away from Sacre Coeur. Overall, an ok stay. If it weren't for the shower, I'd stay again.

Before we arrived we were a bit anxious abuout what we could expect for that price. But we were positively surprised and very pleased with the hotel and room. It was easy to find. The staff in the reception was nice and friendly but not all of them spoke good english. The room was small but quiet and very clean. We got three new towels every day! Shared bathroom was next to the room and the heating was on in both rooms. Lively surroundings with mixed people and cheap resturants/snackbars. Be aware of suspicious people when you walk in the direction of Rochechouart Metro station. The other direction seemed more safe.

The layout of the room was very strange (entering through the bathroom) and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy but the room was clean and newly furnished and as it was in the back of the building (looking out on the alley), fairly quiet. Beds were comfortable.

It was a nice hotel. In the first sight you were a little afraid of the surroundings but after a while you realize that they play any role. The rooms are really very old (don't be terrified by looking the door of your room. Just open it! =P) but at the same time very well looked after. The employees are also very sympathetic.
