I'm sorry I can't answer the question above because I had an accident with the police on the way to Paris and it took me ~3 hrs. then I didn't stay at Mondia by my reservation. But for the others hotel that I select from your site I stay there every place.

Hotel was ok for just sleeping. toilet, shower and carpets just ok for that price. The beds were clean and good. At the welcome we were told, its probably better to take breakfast somewhere else! This was not a problem for us, because we had anyways that plan.

This is the kind of hotel that gives Paris a poor reputation ... Avoid it!

USA, Aug 2008
The hotel is located near 2 metro stops, which makes it really easy to get around the city. The rooms are small, but it's Paris, and that's to be expected. The shower had a curtain, but it was for outside the tub, so it still got water all over the floor. We were able to leave our luggage on both the day we got there, and the day we left. Overall, a good place to stay.

I had already acclimatized to Paris hotel prices, having been popping in and out of the city for the past few weeks, so was actually very happy with the quality for the price. You get what you pay for, and therefore need adjust your expectations. There was a very nice and friendly man on front desk. We stayed upstairs in the old servants quarters. Very cool!

We booked two rooms. The room on the forth floor was O.K. It was quite clean and the room was in acceptable shape. The upper room (6th floor) needed refurbishment. Electricity and water installations did not arouse confidence. The upper room had a bad smell. For the offered price the stay in Paris was acceptable. The breakfast was also O.K.

This hotel is a 2-star accommodation and they should be stripped of both stars in my opinion. I have stayed at better youth hostels. There was no hot water except in the morning. The room was dirty, I hardly wanted to sleep on the sheets, most of which had burn holes in them. This hotel is just disgusting. You should take it off your web site.

The hotel was quite accessable to transport and restaurants. The room was a little cramped, the towel rack fell off the wall and the shower head was broken, and later repaired. Breakfast was too limited and very basic for the price. We were disappointed to have to pay city taxes over and above what was originally quoted and confirmed as the 'Total' cost when we originally booked. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Apparently no reservation was made, but they had a double room which I got without extra charge! Only one English speaking staff working evening shifts - the other staff had difficulties understanding even pointing to specific locations. Room was drab and not very inviting but clean and quite central. But comparing price/comfort this is a no-go.

I stayed in Paris with my wife and my 17 years daughter for 2 nights in holidays and going back home from Russia and Germany. I liked the hotel because is very well located close to the republica station and because the staff in the reception speak english and helped us with directions and everything. I think for the price we paid it is imposible to get something better in Paris. We are from Colombia South America.

With the restriction that hotels are generally very expensive in Paris, the hotel room has a good price. It was very clean, with exception of the board inside the wardrobe. The matrasses where not too soft (bad thing in many other hotels). The hotel is very conveniently located, about 300 m from the Republique metro station, where several lines intersect. The staff was very kind and very helpful.

This cute little hotel right near the Metro of Republique was a perfect, low cost place to make home for us for 7 days. We could have easily spent 2-3 times more- but then would not have had as much money for food and wine! They did not change the towels every day (must be requested) and fussed about a venere.com discount- but overall we paid about 60e per night - so I can't complain too much- bed was comfortable, and 6th floor was pretty quiet. Carpet was in desperate need of cleaning- but we would stay there again- Friendly and helpful front desk staff- who spoke english if you did- but I was practicing my French most of the time.

Great price and great room and location. Very close to Place de la Republique and 20min or so walk to all the turisty sites, but there is a metro right near the hotel if you don't want to walk. The staff was exceptional, very nice and helpful, a very family feel to it and the rooms had a nice decore to them, not your ordinary plastic furniture you would find at a budget hotel. Will definitely stay there again. Mondia is your solution to the headache of finding a hotel in Paris.

Breakfast offer unattractive; dirty cups and hardly any food. The room we stayed in had cob webs on the ceiling and the pipes in the bathroom, no shower curtain provided resulting in constant wet bathroom floor. We had to ask them to replenish toilet paper, as this was nor done when the room was cleaned. General impression of being run-down and poorly cleaned. New, sound proof windows were great, though. Location was good, just a 2 minute walk from Place de la Republic.

Altought we booked one month in advance, we were told by the receptionnist, at first, that he hadn't received our booking and that he was sorry because the hotel was full. He proposed the solution of booking for us a room in the hotel next door, wich was the same category, paying for us the difference of price for us. But in fact, OUR room was already booked by the 2nd hotel ! They are working together, but only Mondia Hotel is on the website of Venere. You book at Mondia, and they send you to the Hotel of the Prieure. The difference between the 2 is that the Mondia has be restaured, nor the other one... So that's the Prieure hotel we are evaluating here.

Even though the room was small enough it was clean, fresh towels every day, the breakfast was sufficient and the staff was friendly. The location was great for a relatively cheap area of Paris, very close to the Metro and there are even a few places to hang out around the hotel if one does not want to go to the centre of Paris. The value for money ration was justified in our opinion and it was a pleasant stay.

Had absolutely fantastic service from the employees at all times. They were well educated in many languages and couldnt help us enough. My friend and I thought the rooms were basic but very comfortable. One morning, we had no hot water in the shower and within less than half an hour it was fixed. The service was impressive and they were so willing to help. It was a very close walk to the Republic, train stations, cafes, supermarket and internet facilities. It only took us 15-20 minutes to walk to the Bastille at the end of the Rue Du Rivoli. We stayed for 5 nights and I would definately stay there again. Very comfortable and acceptable for the price we paid

A very nice and friendly 2-star hotel in the 11th arrondissement in Paris, metro (subway) station Republique (11th line) or Oberkampf (5th line) are both very close. Lots of eateries within 1 km radius. A couple of very nice, autentic French cuisine restaurants. Good location. A great place for someone looking for a sleep-over place, although the space is very limited, but all rooms have baths. Good service, young and very pleasant receptionists; always eager to help & assist. Can leave luggage at the hotel for a couple of days or a week if going elsewhere and then coming back for another night or so. Enjoyed it :)

The hotel was basically what we expected. We wanted a reasonably priced room strictly for sleeping purposes. We had a twin and it was most adequate as far as size. We had trouble getting clean towels each day. We knew the person on the desk understood but it seems the housekeeping staff was not getting it. We even left our towels on the floor one day only to come back and find they were hung back up! If I used the hotel again I would ask for a room on the back of the building. It was quite noisy on the front of the building as we had to keep our windows open for ventilation. The hotel was well situated for us as we had two metro stops to choose from. Great restaurant up in the Canal St. Martin area - The Marina. Overall a good experience. The yound lady on the desk most days was extremely nice and helpful.

They were in the process of remodeling the lobby during our stay, so it should be nice once they are finished. We had a triple and it was VERY spacious with separate rooms for the toilet / bedroom / shower which were all connected by a long hallway. It was ideal for 3 girls to get ready in the mornings. The rooms are old (but clean) and are a good value for the price. There is an elevator (great for the wearied travelers who overpacked their luggage!) and a blowdryer in the bathroom. No air conditioning.

We were at hotel Mondia for 4 days. Because it was very hot during our stay, we needed to open the windows during night. But because there was a lot of noice coming from the street, we couldn't sleep very well. That's why we gave a bad rating for quietness of rooms. Another thing was breakfast: we paid 6,5 euro per person for one croissant and a few pieces of french bread. That wasn't worth its money. The bathroom wasn't very modern, but it was ok.

I traveled with my mother and a brother in France. We stayed at Hotel Mondia for 4 nights. The staff were excellent and spoke very good english as our French wasnt fantastic. The hotel is being renovated while we were there so it was noisy throughout the day but most of the time, we were out sightseeing. The World Cup was also on during out stay so the area was extremely loud at night but that was to be expected. The location is fantastic - very close to Republic Metro Station which has lots of lines running off it - very easy to get anywhere in Paris. Overall, it was excellent value for money if you are not wanting huge rooms. I'd definitely stay there again!! Thanks to Danielle on reception for all her help with sights and her general hopsitality!!

We had just come from London and so the room was very big relatively. The staff was very friendly and tried to help us find our destination. Everything was quite clean in the hotel and the bathroom was new, so that was nice. There was also a lift which was convenient for our many bags. They did charge us a 'tax' at the end, which I didn't really know about, but was actually posted behind the receptionist. The layout of the room was quite interesting; there was a long narrow hallway that led to our room, with the bathroom and toilet along that hallway. The location was pretty good, very close to two metro stops. There was a market and quite a few restaurants in the area as well.

I would like to explain the reason why I rate this hotel as poor. I stayed at this hotel with my friends (5 Japanese including myself). I reserved two rooms, 1 Triple and 1 Twin. This triple room was the source of problems. Before I stayed this hotel, I thought that it was obvious that a triple room includes three beds. However, this common sense disagreed with the common sense of this hotel. The triple room of this hotel had only two beds (1 single bed and 1 double bed). This is our first surprise. So, we complained of this insufficiency of beds to the front desk. Then, the desk clerk said that in the description of the hotel web site the triple room is defined as a room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. However, I cannot still find this description in the web site of this hotel (venere.com). Even if the web site includes this description, this absurd definition of triple rooms should be emphasized much more in the web site. This is our second surprise. The final surprise was caused by the impoliteness of the desk clerk. During her poor excuse, she also said that the double bed is sufficient for two Japanese since Japanese are not big, and she said something further insulting that I hesitate to write here. We were surprised by these impolite statements. Although eventually the hotel set a portable bed in the triple room without bed making, we had to pay an extra fee. We cannot still agree with this extra charge, and her insulting statements made our travel in Paris displease.

My family of 3 adults stayed at the Hotel Mondia for 7 days. Our first disappointment came when we arrived to find that we were unable to have 3 single beds as requested despite the fact that we had first confirmed this information over the phone before booking and had sent email messages with this information. We were told on 3 consecutive days to wait until the following day. Finally we were offered a 3rd bed in another room at an additional cost. The desk clerks tried to be helpful but were often stressed and somewhat argumentative. The cleaners were friendly and the sheets and towels were cleaned every 3rd day. It's not a bad price for the room but there were additional taxes added which I might have overlooked when booking. Good location.

I would definitely come back to Hotel Mondia. We stayed there for two nights in a room for three people - double bed plus a single bed. Cost was 70 euro for the room - amazingly good price! The room was very clean, quite spacious, and the shower was pretty good compared to other places I've stayed at in Europe! The only complaint in that regard is that my friends had lukewarm showers a couple of mornings. I was luckier! The location of the hotel is also great - very close to the Republique and Oberkampf metro stations. From Republique, you can get to all of the major tourist sights easily and quickly. There is a great bakery one block away where you can get breakfast if you don't take breakfast at the hotel. The Oberkampf, Republique and Bastille areas are also full of bars, cafes and restaurants so the hotel is very handy if you are having a late night out and the metro has closed because you can simply walk home! Only difficulty finding the place is that the Place de la Republique is a very very big roundabout... not something you want to walk around too many times if you're lugging heavy bags! I resorted to asking someone in which direction the right street was. All in all, a great stay and would definitely come back.

My wife and me have spent three nights at Mondia of Paris hotel from 25th June to 28th June. Let me explain you the reasons why I rate such a hotel very poor: - Despite I had provided to Venere.com my American Express card number as valid payment method and moreover the American Express symbol was exhibited in the Mondia of Paris hall, the manager refused to let me pay using such a card. As a result of this, I agreed to pay using another card (Visa). - When we arrived at Mondia, around at 10:00 10:30 AM on 25th June 2004, the room assigned to us (404 according to what we have been told either by the manager and later on by some other attendants) was not ready yet, therefore the manager proposed to give us another room having the same quality standard. - When we entered in such a room (number 401), we realized it was really small, however we couldn't compare the two and we accepted the new assigned one, against our will. The 401 room had a small bed (I would say a single size and an half, instead of a double size bed) having one side against the wall, only one bedside table (tipical of a single room), with no shower, but just the bathtub. - We have requested to change room, being also prepared and available to pay the difference, in order to have a better quality standard room, however they answered us they could not have guaranteed us another decent room, since the one assigned to us was one of the few replenished. - On morning 27th June, I entered for mistake in the 404 room, realising it definitely belonged to a higher quality standard. This room (404) was a real double one, having the shower and also the fireplace, anyway a nice and welcoming room. - I immediately remonstrated with the hotel attendants, asking them the reason why they hadn't assigned us such a similar room and again they confirmed that we had been really assigned that room, but the manager changed it with the 401 (the smaller one). - We also checked the rates and, once ag

Great location, friendly service, clean rooms. Good deal for the price. Only 2 things stood out that would keep me from staying here again -- upon arrival, my friend and I had to stay in the hotel next door because the hotel had guests who decided to stay an extra night - for whatever reason, this overrode our reservations? I felt we should have been offered a discount for the trouble of having to unpack/repack and switch hotels. The other element which I could've done without were the 'charming' bath facilities, i.e., a bath with a handheld nozzle rather than a real shower. There is nothing worse than squatting in a tub in the morning when it is early and below freezing outdoors and you have really long hair! I would have preferred a real shower. Otherwise, service was extremely friendly and helpful, certainly worth the 55 Euro a night if nothing else.

We really enjoyed our stay! This is the perfect hotel for a low budget weekend in Paris. If you just use the hotel/room for sleeping, it is great! Quality vs. Price is excellent! Of course the rooms are small and old, but the Location is good.

I had to pay 2 more nights to check out before the date of reservation.

The hotel room and location are excellent but there has been an unpleasant discussion about the price I should pay for my staying. They pretended 10 € more of what agreed on the booking. Eventually I paid what was agreed and fair to pay.
