Hotel Modern - Paris

Good location,quiet area. Clean and cosy rooms.(The only problem : a dirty blanket).Friendly staff. We had a great time in Paris, at the hotel. Thank you.

Friendly and efficient service. Rooms in a good state of decoration. Very convenient location. One potential problem (not for us), there are not many plug sockets in rooms for electical equipment.

We stayed at this hotel with our children, the guy at reception was friendly, rooms were fine, compact, very central and near the metro. good value

For the money we paid it was pretty poor quality,there was no access to internet, no breakfast included, staff hardly speaks english, and room was messy when we arrived and had to wait quite a while for it to be cleaned. Would not recommend for a friend.

In canada we don't have any rules regarding when one can bring visiters to the hotel, I was shocked and surprised to find out that i was required to pay an extra 15€ to have my friend over after 22hr. For internationals they should definitely try to explain these rules at the check in. I also received no help in terms of trying to find out how phones work in Paris, considering the room phones didn't work. They wouldnt even allow me to use the front desk phone, even for a price, instead sending me to three different places that didn't work.

The hotel is located in a nice quiet street. Our room was clean and the staff were nice.

I stay 7 days in Paris.It's a nice hotel and staff.It's good for the trip of Paris.

Clean rooms, professional staff and service,great quality for cheap price and quite and good connection to the city centre by nearby metro.

Generally There is very nice. Especially, the room was very clean. And the people was very kind. But There was not parking area for car. And publich park area was expensive. you should offer parking are for car without money.

The position is very close to the stop of the underground "Père Lachaise" and the monument of the "Bastille". The rooms are clean and the bathroom seems to be totally refurnished. Generally, we had a nice stay.

Coming late night with lots of luggage beeing assigned a room at 5th floor witn no elevator made me protest! Got a room at 3rd floor instead. Totally refurbished??!! according to web page, everything was old except the bathroom which was ok - for one small person. I paid for a double room, but the room was very small. Staff was friendly and understood english fairly well. A typical 2 star hotel without elevator.

Very very good...if I come back to paris i'll ave a reservation at modern for sure.

This hotel is must to avoid. Our cramped and unattractive room had a toilet that did not work, and sewer gas odor was present. While I did get a change of room with a toilet that did not have sewer gas, it was another toilet that would not flush adequately. We asked to cancel our reservation according to their 48 hour cancellation policy. This required us to stay for two days. The Hotel Moderne took the opportunity to change our daily rate at that point about 10% per night based on our cancellation. Shabby all around. Although it was Christnas / New Years we found another small hotel with an actual lobby, clean small rooms, working toilets, and reasonable rates 100 meters away. It doesn't have to be that shabby even if you are on a budget over Christmas.

I wasn't familiar with Paris, and this hotel isn't as near to the main attractions as I thought it was. The neighborhood was a little unsettling at night. Location was the only problem, everything else was fine.

Bathrooms really very very small (too much). Great surroundings.
