We had a great family stay, there were six of us and the hotel was very helpful accommodating our request to have two triple rooms close together. The staff were very friendly at all times of the day and the hotel whilst small had a fantastic Parisiene feel to it and was in a great location for the Metro, cafes and restaurants. This is a great location to stay. The value for money comment is simply because we were in Paris during the Tour de France weekend and everything seemed pricier.

Stayed in room 203 - by Parisien standards a spacious one. It had two chairs, a coffee table and still space to move around. Carpet in the room and flooring in bathroom could be redone but linen, towels, closet, basin n tub spotless. Friendly staff and happy housekeeping lady. Easy walk to 2 metros - Republique n Temple and lots of nice restaurants nearby including Mc Donalds n KFC !

We had a fabulous family break - staff were very friendly and accommodated our change in number with no problem. Lovely staff. Fantastic location very close to metro and well connected on bus routes. Highly recommended!

When I arrived the desk clerk would not get off the phone to help and just handed me the room keys. The next day, he redeemed himself by suggesting an amazing place to eat, Chez Jenny. I highly recommend it, too. The rest of the staff were very helpful. The biggest problem I had was that there was no hot water in the morning for a shower. I stayed in a single room on floor 7 and all I could get was lukewarm water.

GREAT experienced ruined at the very last moment! The hotel is one of the better Paris hotels that I have stayed in. The rooms were a great size, clean and quiet. The front desk was helpful, nice and made my stay great. The problem arrived at check-out. I arrived at 6:30 am downstairs to find the front door locked, the lights off and nobody working. I had to figure out how to get out of the hotel so I could make my flight. Eventually, I climbed through a door at the far end of the bar. The hotel did manage to book me my entire charge! Would still stay here again as the hotel itself was very good.

This was our first trip to Paris and we LOVED it! Perfect location near the Republique Metro, which connected to six lines....easy trip to and from CDG airport by RER train and metro...no need for taxi or van....short walk to the heart of the Marais and a nice walk to the canal.....immaculately clean sheets and towels...very comfortable bed. Weather was a little cooler than we expected for September....mid 60s rather than 70s, but we found breakfast room and Metro stations and trains to be too warm. The room was not huge, but big enough, and also a little warm. When we opened the windows at night for fresh air, the street noises were a bit loud (but that didn't keep us awake after running all over Paris all day) . Staff at front desk were courteous and helpful.

we stayed in a triple room...with the third bed the room was little small. The hotel is cosy and clean: Breakfast is good and position is very well linked to the metro.

Only stayed one night, and was satisfied with the room, and the fact that it was quiet (I did ask specifically for a quiet room away from street noise)

Expensive: $1,000 for 5 nights. Internet worked only one day. No real curiosity or ideas from staff re what was going on, in Paris. Good location 1/2 block from metro. Expensive breakfast for what you get.

Not good value for money. The street is dodgy even if the area is convenient. No air conditioning so we had the windows open all night listening to crys for help in the street below .... We only stayed two nights and moved hotels, back to the latin district to the wonderful D'Odeon hotel

This was my first stay at Hotel Meslay. Rooms were very clean. But with a heatwave and no airconditioning, the nights were a little warm. Noise was an issue (due to open windows). However, the location was very central with plenty of places to eat or shop near the hotel. The Metro was also next door making it convenient to get to other sites of interest. For a similar price, you can get an apartment with an additional sitting space - you just need the time to do it.

The location was very convenient to the Metro and were able to walk to the River, etc. The triple room is basically a double with a fold out bed, but still nice and comfortable and affordable.

This proved to be an excellent choice. Close to the Metro station Republique ( exit Rue du Temple) , and many places to eat. The room was very quiet. The only downside was it was a triple room but the 3rd bed was a camp bed which my 14 old son moaned about. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Paris. One tip, the map is poor but the hotel is very close to Republique Metro, about 20 metres. Therefore, if flying in to Charles de Gaulle, catch the train to Gare Du Nord or Gare D est and just catch the metro to Republique. This will save about 20 Euros. We caught a taxi from Gare Du nord. The metro is so conveniently situated for this hotel. Staff were great and although we arrived at 7 in the morning, they allowed us into our room at no extra charge. Bathroom was very clean and towels, etc were adequate. We never realised that breakfast was additional charge and only on departure realised. Not such a train smash and relatively good value for money. Would recommend just for central position and cleanliness.

Our stay in this hotel was ruined by: the fact we received double rooms instead of twins; the unfriendliness and unhelpfulness of the staff on the front desk. The street the hotel is on completely lacks character too.
