The hotel price was low so I did not expect anything particularly nice. The room was very small and cleaniness almost ok. Overall I will suggest to stay in this hotel if you plan to be away the entire day, as it was in my case. I will not suggest it for families.

Noisy room, window did not close properly, airconditionning not working. Staff not really welcoming at reception (depending on persons) Breakfast poor if taken after 9 o'clock. Location good. Would not give 3 stars but rather 2.

I've been to Paris nine times but it was my first time staying at Hotel Magenta. Staff was really nice and helpful, breakfast was good and our room (Premium room) was bigger than French standards. The room was very clean and quiet (we were staying on the 6th floor) and the relationship price-quality was really good. The metro station Jacques Bonsergent was very close to the hotel (a 3 min walk). I'll recommend this hotel to all my friends!

Great hotel! The second time we stayed and we were just as pleased as the first time. Ask for a balcony. Fantastic buffet breakfast is included in the price.

Report by married couple early Apr 2010. Overnight stay. We got there a few hours early so dropped our luggage in the luggage room. Check out was at 12:00 so plently of time to see Paris in the morning before you leave and also possible to leave luggage when you check out of your room. Great little hotel in a great location. Great value from Venere. The room was a normal size for a hotel in Paris - small - but what do you need beside a bed and a bathroom? The room looked out on an interior courtyard so it was open and sunny but no sweeping view, but that meant no traffic noise. The room was clean with a sparkling new bathroom. Plenty of room in the shower but it is one person at a time small bathroom. The breakfast was great value (included in Venere special Hot Deal price). Breakfast room downstairs was fine. There is a Velib station just down the road so you can easily drop your luggage, grab a bicycle and go. Good patisserie just down the road. Supermarket across the road. Just be careful about the distance down the hill from Gare du Nord. If you are not fit and carry rather than wheel your luggage, it might be considered a bit of a haul by some people.
