This place is atrocious - avoid at all cost. The lift broke while we were in it and neither the alarm or the intercom worked and the night manager just ignored the fact that the lift had broken. Fortunately my mother came looking for us but it still took 25 minutes for the manager to accept that we were actually still in the lift - obviously no apology was provided. Additionally, the rolls and cornflakes were stale so dont bother with the breakfast. The location is also a little bit too far away from Sacre Couer to be convenient and there are no decent restaurants or cafes around.

Very cute room! Size typical for Europe--that is to say smaller than most American rooms but definitely large enough to stay in. Floor to ceiling windows were quite nice. Staff were helpful and spoke French and English. Hotel is located far enough from touristy areas that we were not inundated with long lines and could get a feel for Paris in the neighbourhood. Would recommend to friends.

The rooms were tiny and ok for just sleeping and leaving - not a room to "hang out in." The bathroom door couldn't open all of the way as it would hit the bed. The noise from the street stopped from 2am - 4 am but otherwise very noisy. Location was safe and some nice restaurants near by. Near 3 different train stations on two different lines but 25 mins or so from Gare du Nord - a struggle with more than one bag. They said they had free wi-fi but we could never get on it even in the lobby - password was over 26 numbers. Breakfast was pretty good - croissant, cereal, bread roll, tea, coffee, etc. Kept one going for the day. If you are just looking for a place to crash then it is perfect...itty bitty room and bathroom but decent bed, decent shower and bathroom. Easy walk to train station to do touristy things. Staff were French - ok friendly and just got the job done.

Das Zimmer war ok, für den Preis. Zumindest für Paris. Die Gegend was weniger schön.

Hotel staffs are very helpful, always ready to help with directions, means of transport... Not so quite room but clean. Very convenient is the fact that across of the Hotel there is a Supermarket. Directions for traveling by metro from Airport could be better.

Went to stay here to watch England vs France at the Rugby World Cup, the hotel is clean and basic and what you would expect from the price your paying for the hotel, it is about a ten minute walk to the metro station and then about 15-20 min to Gare Du Nord. So it is ideally located for a cheap weekend away. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the centre of paris that are more expensive but the same Star and would say because you are further out of the city the rooms are much bigger. Overall great stay and would reccomend for a budget weekend in Paris

Basic good and clean accommodation - rooms a bit on the small side and the directions to the hotel were not very clear. Disappointed that on check out we were asked for a higher rate and only providing our booking slip did they put through a credit giving us the quoted rate whcih left us feeling that they were simply trying to get the higher rate.

The hotel is in the Montmartre block, and has plenty of services and shops in the immediate surroundings (automatic laundry, internet point, newspapers, tobacconist's, take-away food shops, cashpoints, post office, etc.). I think it is more comfortable to get there on foot from the metro stop "jules joffrin" (line 12) than from the stop "Guy Moquet" indicated on this site. Stepping from "jules Joffrin" you just have to walk along the "rue Ordener" and turn right when this road crosses "rue Damrémont". The people at the reception desk were welcoming and professional. I asked for a single room but there are only double rooms available (with a large bed, and a clean bathroom equipped with shower, wc, washbasin); the room floor is entirely covered with carpet, which is a little stained; breakfast is not included, but you have plenty of "bistrots" in the nearby area. Room service is punctual and discrete. You are also a 15 mins walk away from the "marché aux puces" which takes place at the "Porte de St. Ouen", while the metro line 12 takes you down to the main subway junctions, from which you may reach almost any area of Paris. I definitely recommend this property to couples and to single travelers. You'll enjoy it! The staff was welcoming and professional.

Excellent hotel and good value for money. Room was average size, clean and quiet. Bathroom was a bit cramped but clean enough. Corridors smelt of smoke though - only complaint! Staff were so friendly and helpful! Ideal location, only 5 mins walk to metro (Jules Joffrin is the closest - not the one it says on this site!) and within walking distance to Sacre Couer. I would definately recommend this hotel!

Perfectly adequate for the price - rooms small but okay; ensuite very cramped and a bit scruffy, but okay; location fine, only a short-ish walk from several metro stations. Breakfast is an extra, but there are lots of fantastic patisseries and cafes near by instead of eating at the hotel.

La estación del metro más cercana es la de Jules Giufren de la línea 12, que se encuentra a unos cinco minutos del hotel.

Two of us (from New Zealand) spent 7 nights here using it as a base to explore the city via a 10min interesting walk to the metro. If you don't mind narrow hallways, small lifts, drops in floor height at doorways and smallish rooms; this hotel is perfectly suitable for the price. Very close to good cafes and restaurants. The locality does have its seedier side with tramps sleeping on the street outside.

Getting to hotel on metro was not easy (especially with luggage), as nearest metro station was not given; we searched our various maps to try to work it out. Directions from nearest metro to hotel would have been very useful information to supply. Charming staff, very helpful and friendly. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been much appreciated!

Really enjoyable stay, staff were fantastic and friendly...wishing Arsenal to win the Champions League Final! Only down side was there was no powerpoint in the room to charge my mobile phone! Other than that all good. Really liked the area too.

A charming hotel that offered good value for money. The staff were polite and helpful and the local restaurants and bars gave a great opportunity to seeing the 'real' french life. Highly recommended

The location of the Hotel was not really in the same area as displayed in the location map. I thought it would be on the city side of Monmarte but was surprised to find it a good ten minute walk from this area. The room was clean but smelled of cigaretee smoke. The room was located on the 1st floor which made the room very vulnerable to the street noise and traffic which was considerable until the wee hours of the morning. The staff was pleasant and spoke english to facilitate any communications. There are many Hotels of this kind in Paris and I would stay here again if I was in a pinch but in the same breadth I would try to find an other place that was less noisey. Maybe if you insist upon a room in the upper levels of the building you would find more satisfaction than I did.

A very good, basic, no-frills, reasonably priced hotel, conviently located. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, hotel was quaint though the rooms were small. Front rooms quite noisy, back rooms peaceful. Highly recommended.
