First impression: the lady at the reception - she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, greeting you by your name upon arrival. The room was not very big, but cosy with a nice and very clean shower room. Location in a narrow and quite busy street, but with closed window very quiet (air conditionning available) and within walking distance to the Opera, the Louvre and Palais Royal. Good public transportation connections. Free internet was offered without having to ask for it.

This was a very nice hotel, close to the opera and close to Louvre. Surprise to get out into the street and find all the Japanese restaurants! Small room, but very nice, on the 4th floor and with a French balcony. Free wifi was a real bonus, the receptionist was very nice!

Nice hotel, quiet, cosy and clean. Downsides, hard 'man-made-fibre' pillows, would a feather option in the wardrobe be too much to ask? CNN and BBC World News are the only English speaking channels on the TV. I know, I know, I'm in Paris, get a life... but I've been a million times before and when it's for business and I'm on my own I'd like some TV in the evening.

Very welcoming and helpful staff - a nice change from some hotels in Paris! This is a small but very well-located hotel; close to the Louvre and related areas in central Paris. The rooms are intimate (small!) but have everything needed. The breakfast isn't included in the rate, but is perfectly reasonable if you prefer to eat in rather than go out for your coffee and croissants at a local café. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice little hotel. The room was somewhat small, but the beds were comfortable and the washroom was spacious. The room was very clean. The staff was pleasant and generally quite helpful. The hotel's street was busy at night and a little noisy, but overall a great hotel for the price.

PARIS HOTEL LOUVRE STE. ANNE was great. And for Paris, excellent value! Room was small (but not the smallest, by far), nicely decorated, excellent en suite, totally quiet (on a busy street) with window closed, fridge, safe, excellent English buffet, and free wifi. Best of all, the front of house young ladies, Moun and Edyta, were exceptional! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and at least for us, nothing was too much trouble. And the hotel is only a short walk from L'Opera, Louvre, Place Vendome, a large and vg value Monoprix supermarket, and numerous public transport bus and metro options. Highly recommended!

As far as Paris hotels are concerned, Hotel Louvre Sainte Anne Opera is a wonderful choice. It's fairly easy to find a block from the pyrimides metro station. Staff was available 24hrs a day (rare for smaller hotels). Let us check in early and leave late. The room is small but is on par for european 3 & 4 star hotels(you shouldn't be in your room much anyways). With the metro station close by, all Paris attractions are at your leisure. Louvre & Opera house easily walking distance away. Overall, excellent stay.

We booked our room online at Venere.com. Unfortunately, hotel was filled during this time but no one contacted us. Staff Mona accomodated us and gave us a quiet room as we requested. Mona was also very knowlegable about Paris. We learned a lot from her and it made our visit very pleasant. She would make a good tour guide. The location was 5 minutes from metro/bus, supermarket, Opera Garnier, Lourve, restuarants. We had no problem finding places to eat and it was safe even at night. The only downside is the size of the room. The bathroom looks like it was recently remodeled. Hotel was kind enough to loan internet so we printed our boarding pass. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to family/friends. We got pictures and reviews about this hotel from tripadvisor.com. Awesome website.

We stayed in this hotel on January 2-7, 2009. In a word – very good hotel and I strongly recommend it. May be it is a bit more expensive compared to similar level hotels and the rooms are quite small, but we did have a really pleasant stay and overall the hotel and the service and attitude of the hotel staff impressed us very much. Though the rooms are not so spacious, they are very convenient for living and have everything you need including personal safe. Once more – very good hotel!

My husband & I had been travelling over 100 days before we arrived at this hotel. We did find the room small, but it had a very comfortable bed. Staff were extremely helpful and someone available 24hrs a day. Location is convenient to shops, food, transport and tourist attractions. A busy area with locals & tourists, but didn't find noise a problem. It does have a small lift which saves carrying luggage up stairs.

Being in Paris on business approx. 6-7 times a year and staying in various hotels I would judge the Louvre Saint Anne as following: Location: almost perfect, close to a lot of sights as well as having easy access to public transport. With window opened it can get a little noisy in the night. Room ambience: Size as to be expected for 3-star, rooms nicely renovated and generally appearing more "fresh" than comparable other hotels, faultlessly clean. Staff: Extremley helpful and savvy about Paris in general. (Note: Safe in room didn't work, was not repaired during the stay either. No big deal.) Breakfast: Well above average, even some hot buffet, which is definitely above standard in Paris 3-star. Summary: Seems to be a little more expensive than the average Paris 3-star, but it's definitely woth staying.

The bad thing - practically no lobby - it is very small.

This Hotel was terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE! We turned up late on a Sunday night to learn they had no hot water, the hot water was not repaired until 11am the next morning. We were told lies on many occassions about when it would be fixed. We presume the plumber was not called until Monday morning as they did not want to pay the emergency Sunday rates. The manager was extremely rude and wanted to compensate us by giving us one free breakfast at 11am in the morning. We checked out immediately and refused to pay. We stayed in many hotels on our trip and this was the worst by far. The room was extremely small and the hotel did not seem to be in a very safe street. Would definately not recommend staying here.

We were only in Paris for two days, this hotel is just perfect, really friendly staff and silence all night (don't know why as we were facing the street and on the first floor). We didn't eat in the hotel, breakfast was 12Euro. We had coffee in the Patisserie on the corner, but remember coffee will cost 4Euro (well worth it) so if this is all you want for breakfast that's fine, but if you want more then think about paying for breakfast in the hotel, I'm sure it is well worth it. There are lots of japanese restaurants on the street outside the hotel but it that's not to your taste there are Italian restaurants just at the back of the hotel, go up Rue Sainte Therese beside the patisserie. Sometimes it is difficult to get nice restaurants if you are only in a big city for a quick visit but this hotel is perfectly located.

This is a very nice little hotel, close to the Pyramides metro stop and walking distance to the Opera, the Tuileries, the Louvre, and many other tourist sites, as well as the major department stores (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps). Oddly, this part of the city is also a main area for Japanese and other Asian restaurants -- it's easy to find sushi, bento boxes, and noodles on the street, but not so easy to find a French restaurant. The hotel room was quite small, but that's not unusual in Paris hotels in this category.

The location of this hotel was excellent and the instructions for getting from CDG airport to the hotel were fine, although it was a busy walk from the Opera(of about 10 minutes)if you are dragging luggage! The welcome we received from Edyte on reception was so positive and her help, and that of other staff throughout our time there, proved invaluable. Her enthusiasm for Paris and her interest in her guests meant that our four night stay was a dream. Nearby were many Japanese restaurants, where young fashionable Parisians would queue, but there were also other restaurants in the vicinity which provided some other good dining experiences (Le Mesturet was terrific). There was a tabac, a Monoprix and a Metro nearby. When we did need a taxi, reception had it there for us within a couple of minutes! The room that we were given on the ground floor beside the reception foyer was I think slightly bigger than other rooms although it did not have a bath. It was cosy, but big enough for us. They were prepared to change it to an upstairs room for us if we weren't happy and said they would shift all our luggage for us. Although Room 1 could have been a little noisy if people had come in late at night, this was not our experience and over the 4 nights our convenient room provided peace and quiet. The double glazed windows kept out any street noise, though there was little traffic. The breakfast room downstairs was a delight and the staff there were also very friendly. The scrambled eggs that were specifically cooked for each guest are recommended. Although breakfast was 12euros, we felt it was worth it as a full range of choices was provided and it set us up well for the day's adventures. There are so many places that can be reached on foot from this hotel that we would recommend it to people who are not only interested in exploring the "tourist" sights, but who are also keen on finding their own little Parisian places.

Everything was very good, the room was small but had everything we needed. Our only problem was with the shuttle bus. They insisted we only needed to be collected at 7.30 for a 9.45 flight, but as they were picking other people up after us we had a hair raising drive through Paris and only just got to the airport in time to book in. Also we thought we had paid 20 euros when booking and had 10 to pay but the driver insisted we had to pay 20 and 3 for luggage as we didn't have time to argue we paid him. It was avery stressful end to a lovely holiday.

Not only does the hotel have the most helpful reception staff/staff i have ever seen in an hotel but the location is perfect. 5 mions from the Louvre and the Opera. Great shops and easy access to the metro. We stayed in a superior room that had a balconey with a view of the Sacre Coeur - quite fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travlleing to Paris and i will definately be staying here on all of my future visits.

The hotel was one of the best 3 stars I've stayed in in Europe. The deal I got on the web site was great, definately worth the money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was a bit expensive but it was better than most hotel/b&b breakfasts.
