We stay in Paris each year and usually choose this hotel. The price is payable by Paris standards and it is located well. Breakfast is minimal, but enough to get you started. The staff is usually helpful. The rooms can be a bit small, but in Paris, this is normal.

The hotel location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. But room was small and my boyfriend complained that there was a smell in the room.

Hotel is well placed, clean and well decorated. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the room decor was lovely. The room seemed smaller than I had booked, I chose a medium cost room and would be surprised if you could have smaller, for £150 I think a little expensive. My main issue, is the opaque glass en suite bathroom. Looks lovely, but a terrible idea in a shared room. You cannot function in a bathroom where everything can be seen, heard and smelt, it's a very, very bad idea!!! If we had been staying longer than 1 night, I would have changed room, if they had a proper bathroom somewhere, or moved Hotel. Breakfast, at 11euros each was expensive for cereal and croissants but nice enough. I've stayed in far worse Hotels, but not sure if I would stay here again.

Great location, just steps from a major metro station with several lines. Half way between Louvre and Notre Dame. It's on a quiet street but take ear plugs. Even with AC on and windows closed, we heard street noise everynight and 7 am garbage every am. The staff was disappointing. They didn't seem to know any traveler info like day passes on the metro or when the local stores opened or how long it took to get the the airport via train. The room for 3 that we had was very spacious, bathroom was very nice. Bed was firm and very comfortable. But it was far from spotless. The maid left us some of her hair in the bathroom every day and it's a bit worn. If you want to be in the center of things, this is a good spot.

My wife an I stayed in the hotel at the end of august 2009 for 3 nights. Location excellent, literally just a 5 minute walk from the Louvre and Notre Dame and about a 30 second walk from Chatelet metro station where you can travel to from C.D.G. or Orly airports. Room excellent and modern, nice to have a bath after spending the day walking around Paris. Staff very friendly. Great value for money. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The location was perfect, very central to all things Paris. Staff was very helpful, particularly Monsieur Lawrence. The price was very reasonable. My only criticism would be the street noise after dark. The late night life was loud for us country folk, we were on the second floor, for those people sensitive to night noise I would recommend a top floor room.

We stayed for two nights in a triple room. there was no sitting area in the room, as the chair was a fold-out bed. We had breakfast at the bakery on the corner which was practical and delicious. We were on a pleasure trip, visiting museums in the area. Location is absolutely excellent. Shopping, dining and museums are all a short distance away, the bike-rental program in Paris also has some nearby drop-off points.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the Louvre and Notre Dame. Rooms are very very very small with almost no light, people at the reception are not very friendly and the price i paid was more than the one showed in the room (there was any kind of discount booking it with venere). i would suggest this hotel for short staying only due to his very good position.

The man and the lady in the reception desk were great, very sympathetic. Nice hotel, perfect heating system (once it was a problem for me in another hotel, in Paris), a wonderful bath tube, spacious room considering Paris standards, very close to RER/metro station and commerce.

The Louvre Rivoli was in a great location for easy access to major attractions and the Metro. The hotel property and rooms were pleasant and clean. Rooms were on the small-side, but not unusually so for a European boutique hotel. The staff was very helpful and seemed to cater to the tourist, as there was lots of helpful information available and they all spoke great english.

The room was very small, but that was ok. The bed was hard and the pillows, well they need new pillows. The location was great for walking and taking metro. Had the breakfast on our last day, don't waste your money.

As I was only in Paris for a very short amount of time I thought the position of the hotel was great - just round the corner from the subway for Chatelet metro/RER station within 5 - 10 mins walk of the Louvre, Pompidou Centre, Les Halles, Notre Dame, Samaritaine department store, all the shops of Rue de Rivoli ... My twin room was small-ish but what I'd expect for city centre 3 star hotel, I didn't stay for long enough to give much of an opinion of the service and facilities of the hotel - staff were not overly friendly but professional (as to be expected from the Parisiens..) Note that breakfast is an additional 12 euros - the cafe round the corner did a breakfast menu for 8 euros and I had large coffee/orange juice/croissant or small baguette with jam and butter in a cafe near the Louvre for 6.50 euros so it would have to be pretty special in the hotel to entice me in! Would consider going back again for an overnight stay but if I was staying for longer would probably look at somewhere cheaper further out of the city centre...

Aircondition did not function in the room, so it was hot! Staff failed to fix the problem (didn't try very hard). Breakfast was a disappointment. Location was excellent - right in the middle of everything.

The location is great: a short walk to many places, direct train to/from airports! Plenty of food within a block or two, as well as a supermarket. The room was larger than expected, clean, and up-to-date. At night it was rather quiet; although the city does wake up early. Note, that the street is somewhat hard to find as it is not on tourist maps, and the metro station is a maze.

ALthough the location was great and the entrance of hotel was fine, we had sometimes difficulties understanding the staff in french ( I am French speaking). We got a triple room with one bed added for a kid. The room needed to be refreshed (pealing wall paint, spots and bugs smached on the walls, toilet malfunctioning) The staff forgot to add the 4th bed, did not give enough bed sheets, forgot daily to provide 4 and not 3 towels. Breakfast: staff without training, sour cold milk daily, some food items not replaced even at the end of breakfast time, when needed something we had to go get the staff in kitchen (same staff doing disches and serving breakfast), loud staff, forgot daily to add 4th person for breakfast. Overall, we were disappointed. Poor quality-cost.
