Hotel is good (clean, space), service is good (friendly, nice), but the price is still very high (especially when I wanted to stay more but the hotel did not give discount) & the noise from the opposite train station.

The rooms although not big had enough space for two in the double. The bathroom was spacious by Paris standards and was very clean. We found the hotel staff friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is as described , was very close to a metro station and to a few bars and restaurants. You only needed to walk for about 10 minutes and you were at the river seine and you had arrived at the batobus stop. We would use this hotel again definitely.

Good position for Paris and was generally OK however....1 small bottle of water on day one and no replacement the next three days! Broken kettle. No replacement of tea and coffee. Cramped room.

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it was undergoing renovations, but now that those renovations have been completed it has made the hotel even better value. My room was small but very nicely decorated in a modern style and very comfortable, with satellite TV, wi-fi and coffeemaking facilities in the room. Given the location (within walking distance of the Quartier Latin) it offers excellent value and is one of the cheapest and nicest hotels I have stayed in the area. For a solo traveller or couple who're not looking for a huge suite and wants to stick to a budget this is a great place to stay.

Hotel Libertel Austerlitz was a great deal. The location was great, conveniently located across the street from Gare d'Austerlitz (train station) and on the 10 and 5 metro lines. Getting there from CDG airport is very easy too. It's in the 5th, not far from latin quarter. The neighboorhood is chic and quiet. There are several brasseries and restaurants on the same street. The room as very small but for anyone that knows Paris, that is pretty standard, and who cares when you're only sleeping there! It was very clean though, and the bed was comfortable. Noise was not an issue at all. I recommend staying here, the staff was exceptionally friendly, the location is great, and rooms are clean & quiet.

Good rooms and excelent location. The staf, on the other hand (with the exeption of an italian guy receptionist) is absolutely rude, they do not want to help you, they don't pass on calls (even the ones made in french), they say the internet is free, but you have only a few hours, and then they pretend it is not working. The cleaning is absurd: there has been days that even the bed sheets weren't made! It is a pity, cause the rooms, location and potencial are amazing.

What a great hotel! It's been recently renovated and the rooms are lovely. I've stayed in many hotels in Paris and this is certainly an excellent one in this price range. The location is great, just by the metro, there are bars and restaurants nearby for meals, and it's a nice walk along the Seine to Notre Dame. I'll definitely go back.

I was extremely pleased with my selection of this hotel. It met my FULL expectations; very clean as it's been recently refurbished, of modern deco, a little small but typical of Parisian hotels within such price range, 10 steps from Austerlitz metro station, a few selection of restaurants & bakeries along the same street, and a 24-hour convenience store, Monop, where you can purchase basic essentials to sandwiches to beer/ liquor. As for the noise level, I had a room on the 4th floor facing the main street, and even though I could hear street sounds and the numerous police/ ambulance sirens going on, it didn't really bother me, as again, its typically Paris! I strongly recommend this hotel to travellers like myself looking for a reasonable accommodation with all the surrounding amenities, close by to a metro stop, about 20mins to the heart of Paris, safe neighbourhood, clean, bright & modern rooms/ bathroom. I had a far worse selection of another hotel of the same price range in my previous trip, so Libertel Austerlitz will be my preferred hotel to stay in if I ever make another trip to Paris!

I really enjoyed my stay there, there was a problem of getting there from CDG airport, the promised train didn't go as far as it should have and had to change trains earlier than was stated on the web page. The hotel was in a great location with a railway station right across the road, made it easy to get around Paris. Room great for one or two but little room left as the bed takes up most of the space.

So small a room, but brand new, clean and so quiet. So small that most of the clothes stayed in the suitcases, which we didn't know where to put! But we managed. We were not in Paris to stay in the hotel room. The prices by venere.com were much cheaper than those written at the front desk. They varied on venere.com from 70 to 120 euros per night, for an average of 103 per night for 7 nights . At the hotel it was written 200 per night . All this for a "comfort" room. But weirdly, on venere.com we couldn't chose the type of room. Maybe they don't sell the one that have not yet been renovated. So we learned about the different types of rooms on another internet site after printing the confirmation. Venere is appreciable because we are sure that they don't take the money on our credit card. It happened to us with expedia to pay twice, expedia and the hotel. We had the chance to arrive early and ask for a room on the yard. We had read previous comments where the main complaints were about the noise of the street, the railway station and the employees. We heard absolutely no noise during the whole week we were there. The employees at the desk were nice and polite, but we had to insist to get the room on the yard even though we were "first arrived", and once as we didn't get towels, we asked while going out and they still were not there when we got back. Also a friend left a message by phone at the desk, and it wasn't forwarded to us. Gare d'Austerlitz and subway station almost at the front door make it easy. It is a valuable "plus". We bought a "carte orange" (16 euros for 7 days from monday to sunday) rather than the tourist card (27 euros for 7 days, no specific days) . The RER has a direct connection to Orly airport, from where we were flying with Corsair. They lied to us at the airport upon arrival, and it cost us 26 euros for 2 to get by "Air France bus" and subway from Orly to the hotel, and only 12 for 2 to get back from Austerlitz to Orly. And the RE

We decided to stay in this hotel for a couple of nights, as we wanted to stay close to the Quartier Latin. The hotel has a convenient location: close to two major train stations and within walking distance of the Jardin de Plantes (5 minutes), Pantheon (20 minutes), Quartier Latin, and Notre Dame (25-30 minutes). Although the hotel wasn't bad, there really isn't anything good to write about it, besides its location. We got a pretty good price. The sheets and carpet cleanliness in the room looked a bit suspect. The hotel is at a busy street in Paris so there is some traffic noise, although by the time we got to the hotel we were so tired that this wasn't an issue. The breakfast wasn't included and it cost E$8.50 per person. We didn't try it, but you can get an excellent breakfast in any coffee shop/bakery in Paris for about half of that cost.

Uninspiring hotel. Rooms were clean, although a little more effort could have been done for the shower (black mould between tiles). Couldn't open window because of noise from main road, but not all rooms are like this. Decor is in need of serious updating. Don't get me wrong: it does the job, if you do not intend to spend much time in the the room. Close to transport but bland area. I guess €97 is not much in Paris, but I would have expected a bit more. The staff were very friendly and efficient, which to me is one of the most important things! Thanks

We stay one night in a double room at the beginning of our Europe trip and two nights in a twin room at the end of our trip. The rooms are both small and old. The bed covers have faded color. I didn't sleep well any of those nights because of the noise from the street and the trains, even though we closed all the windows. In one bath room, the shower head hook was broken, so we had to tie the hose into a knot and hang it on the hook. The shower door cannot be closed properly, so after one person took a quick shower, the bath room floor was literally flooded. But the most outrageous thing is that when we discovered that our bed cover had a large white patch of 'something' (see my pictures) after we just checked in, we asked he hotel to change the cover. The front desk guy said that it was too late (9pm) to get any extra cover. I asked him to come to the room to check it out so that he can instruct the cleaning person to change it tomorrow. He said he would come in 5 minutes, but he never showed up. The next morning, I put the dirty cover in the hallway outside of our room and told the front desk to make sure that it got change. When we came back to our room at night, the same dirty cover was put back on our beds again!!!.

i spent three nights in this hotel with my 11 years old son and we were very pleased. a cheap and new and tastefully renovated place in a very central location. the room was large enough, the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious. there is a waterboiler, coffee & tea in the room and a flat tv. the only minus is the noise from the street. but if the windows stay close, it's ok. next time in paris i will stay there again and i can recommend this hotel.

If you're on a budget but want a hotel in a great location this place is perfect. It's literally right next to the Gare d'Austerlitz which is one of the main train stations. It's a stone's throw from the river and Notre Dame and Shakespeare & Co. are a short walk away. It's super handy, we walked everywhere day and night, barely used the expensive metro pass we bought (by the way, bypass the 18 euro three day deal and just get yourself a book of single use tickets for 11 euro). However, you get what you pay for, the shower door wasn't sealed so we ended up with a lake in our bathroom every time we took a shower and as our room was at the front of the hotel it was soooooo noisy. However, for a weekend break it's fine. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

This is a very small hotel, but the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable thus it offers good value for the price. It isn't located in a particularly scenic street, but the botanical gardens (inlcluding the natural history museum and a small zoo) are two minutes walk away, as is the left bank of the Seine - and there are lots of small cafes and bars nearby. There's a Metro station right outside, but it's only a short walk into the Quartier Latin. I had a rear-facing room overlooking the apartments at the back, so it was very quiet at night. I noticed that one person had commented that the staff spoke nothing but French - this wasn't the case during my visit: everyone spoke some English and were very friendly. The reception area was in the process of being refurbished while I was visiting, but the staff were at pains to apologise for the upheaval and it really wasn't that much of an inconvenience. My only real criticism is that the breakfast coffee wasn't great – when I go to France I expect supreme coffee! :)

I chose this hotel for the location, right across from the Gare Austerlitz. We were leaving the next morning for a train to the Dordogne; could walk right over to station. Hotel is also close to Jardin des Plantes and the Seine. The street it's on is not scenic, rather busy and full of businesses but it suited my purpose perfectly. Breakfast, included was typical French continental, buffet style. Comparatively good and generous. Room was tiny but they all are in this price range in France. Room very cozy and comfortable.

The hotel works well for us the only inconvenience was they gave us a smokers room. The location is very good if your plan needs the metro/train infront. In general the instalations work well but they can paint and fix some minor details in the bathroom, like the door of the shower and the dryer.

For the price that is quoted, this is a great hotel. Also, it is VERY close to the Gare de Austerlitz Metro station. This station also has stops from the RER C lines - you can use the RER lines to go to Orly and also Charles De Gaulle Aiport. This hotel is in Latin Quarters - there are quite a few restaurants nearby. They have a check-in time at around 4:00 and so, if you arrive early, they will allow you to keep the luggage in a store room. Breakfast served is 10 euros a person - so, we avoided the breakfast and had it outside in the McDonald's a few feet down the road. The rooms are quite small but then, it was enough to come back and sleep. Cheers! Thyaga
