We was two people. The hotel position is good, near metro line n°4. 20 min by walking from Eiffel tower. The price is not very low, but Paris is Paris! The room was silent because we were in internal room, far by the street, but normaly you hear everybody who walk by stairway.

We stopped in this hotel for 3 nights. Clean and well located however our room furniture was quite worn and walls needed some fresh paint. No elevator is available, if you have problems with narrow and steep stairs better if you look for a different solution.

Hello to everyone, My name is Maria and I am from Bulgaria. I stayed in the hotel with my husband for 2 nights and we just have returned back. We are really satisfied with the service we received. Yes, the rooms are small but clean (the towels were changed after the first night and the bed tidy) and absolutely match the category of the hotel. The owners are very gentle and helpful. The location of the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with many small restaurants. It is at about 15 - 20 min. walking distance away from the Eiffel Tower and only 3 - 4 min. away from a metro station. We would book again a stay in the hotel.

not recommended for people traveling with bags heavier than 5 kg due to chicken ladder climbing to rooms where you need to place your shoes in cross direction as they will not fit longitudinally - internet access working from time to time only

Value for money is very poor .Cleanliness is top but staff are non-professionnals.Breakfast was a real nightmare; it took them ages to get every item of it , actually they were running out of everything ( had to buy next door ) Rooms on the third floor are tiny with a small window which could not be opened.DEFINITELY A RIP OFF worth 40 EUR not 85

Very good value for money, location in the 15th arrondisement is very nice, lots of interesting shops on rue de commerce, friendly and busy. I was a bit prepared for the worse when I read other comments but found that room 203 was fine, actually 2 twin beds and a folded up mattress in the corner even though I was travelling solo for work, high ceilings, actually felt almost spacious for Paris standards. The bathroom was actually large for this type of low priced Paris hotel room, space is what it is in Paris, this is not Kansas.... On the ground floor there is the Algerian restaurant, Le Vent de Sable and just two blocks away, Charlie Birdy, a night club place good for a glass of cognac on your way back at night. Even though I was on the second floor, I picked up the free wifi with at least two or three reception bars on my laptop and never had a problem with it. Would return!

2 nights (Sun, Mon). Access : subway Line 8, "Commerce". Walk about ~5 min in a shopping street and reach the hotel from the Restaurant "Vent de Sable". Street : nice, safe, quiet, convenient. Many shops in Rue du Commerce (tea/coffee shop, high quality clothes, Petit Bateau, perfumes, several kind of restaurant ...). breakfast (not included) : 8 euros (coffee + 1 croissant + 1 small bread). Welcome, help, advices : really excellent. No lift. Rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor. Staff can help you to bring your luggage upstairs. Rooms : TV, no desk to work, 2 chairs, cover-bed was cleaned (no smell). The room does not look so nice (an old room with old windows, not really charming inside), but it is cleaned ! No double glass windows so that you can hear the street noise (morning), but the street is quiet during the night. Hotel was not crowded but one can ear noise from the neighboring rooms. Bathroom : clean even some moisture here and there. A shower should have been a better choice in such kind of room. No toothbrush. 1 hair dryer. Electric razor plug in the bathroom. Toilet (inside the bathroom) is cleaned. Towels OK. 1 plug in the room (to recharge batteries ...), FREE Wifi 24/24 with sometimes some unstable signal, but it was OK. Excellent restaurant (~16 euros), tajin, couscous, ... Comments : compared to "similar" 2 stars hotels that I have experienced in Paris (16e - 66 euros/night, breakfast 6 euros), this one is a bit expensive (85 euros/night - Breakfast 8 euros !!). (similar means : near subway, shopping around, quiet street, room size/facilities/smell/noise/old-reformed ...).

The hot water tap of the shower did not work. The blind of the window was broken, thus light all night long. No discount(delivery) the next day to mitigate these defects. I shall not certainly return in this hotel and I advise(recommend) to the other persons not to go there.

Location is ok, very close from Metro (less than 5 mins walk) No lift so we had to carry heavy luggage by stairs. Also, toilet didn't flush!! People were talking very noisily downstairs restaurant and I could hear everything. I think price is high compare to the facility.

It is a simple hotel, don't expect anything else for a two stars hotel, it is very close from historical places. I just use the hotel for sleeping and for taking a bath, so if you plan to do the same this is a very good option.

More like a B&B than a hotel but for the price I was happy with it. Though it's in on one of the least attractive streets in the area it is nevertheless in a very good area. I felt very safe walking around alone at night.

The room was completely without charm and very "spartanic". There were a lot of noise from other guests in the corridor. On the positive side it was clean and proper. Note it had no aircondition so in the summer it might be very warm. Now in the autumn it was nice.

the restroom was not cleaned up enough there were previous stay stains on walls and mold on tub and shower head was broken, toilet flushed makes loud long noises though pipes so loud wakes you up in your sleep if flushed at nite. there was no heat thoug radiator. nights were cold pillows have no pillow cases on them. television was up to high, hurts your neck to look up and watch. other guest going up or down stairs in hall were loud.there is just a very small signage on awning to let you know that that was the hotel which was on the sign of the awning so if you coming from oppsite direction you wont see it because there is a resturant on the lower level and that sign takes up the awning which goes by a different name.

I had a clean small room in the roof space with no direct view to the street etc., unless standing on a chair to look out of the openable window in the roof (shown on left in the attached photo). Building is old (at least 19thC) but you might not guess this at first. Noise from street unavoidable - maybe a room at the back would have been better? Noise from other rooms not a problem. Room did not smell of drains or smoke; bed was comfortable. Room service was fine. En-suite bathroom was functional (shower fitting was broken - bath-tub was OK). Not all the light fittings worked. No public spaces - reception desk was a cupboard next to the restaurant bar. I did not try the restaurant for an evening meal - breakfast was conventional. Wifi service was free - but reception patchy. A good place to use as a base for a working trip on a budget (my case). Off the tourist map, in a culturally varied area, which means more authentic shops/restaurants in the area, at reasonable price. Several Metro stops within easy walking, as is the Unesco building. Not a 'romantic break' type of place. Good value for money in an expensive city.

To be honest the hotel disapointed me a lot, they almost do nothing about cleaning the room while you're out, they didn't ask for our personal documentation any moment so "anybody" could get in. And what was the worst is that we were completely sure that we colud leave the hotel at 1200, but wow! the maid has "to do" her job earlier than that so you'd better leave, eh!!! They'll be calling you since 900 asking you to GET OUT!... uhm and any language spoken besides french. Nevertheless Paris is completely lovely.

I'm a big fan of the traditional architecture of Paris, so I was overjoyed to see the room on the top floor was complete with skylight overlooking the city and exposed wood beams. It's the simple things that make for a memorable stay. The hotel is above a restaurant and the doors are always open and ready to accommodate. The surrounding area was slightly bland, but the cafes and patisseries were surprisingly good. I felt very safe and it was a 2 minute walk to the metro. I think it would be worth it to the hotel to fix up a few little details in the room such as the shower head holder being broke - minor things - then it would be an even better place to stay. It's a safe bet for staying in Paris at it's price.

It is not a real hotel but a restaurant with some rooms upstairs. The entrance is the restaurant door and the reception is the bar desk; you can reach your room through a narrow and dirty stair. People is kind but not professional and the price is not so cheap to justify the choice.

The hotel is the nicest 2 star hotel I ever stayed in, and was the cheapest private room (for 2 people) I found in all of Paris. Definetoly a hotel and not a hostel. The area was charming (near the Rue de Commerce with fantastic shopping) and it was an about 20 minute walk (through very cute streets) to the Eiffel Tower. The staff was extremly hospitable too and the hotel was dog friendly! The rooms were cleaned every day and the linens and towels were always clean. My only complaint was that the walls were quite thin and you could smell smoke in the room if someone in another room was smoking. But I would definetly stay there again.
