After a very disappointing stay at another Paris property, we cancelled our first reservation and booked the 2nd night here. Boy, what a difference. From the moment you walk. Into the hotel, you know that this is a classy place and the whole stay reinforced that. The room was spacious and well appointed; the bathroom was a delight and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The surrounding area is charming and it is a short walk to Gare St. Lazarre and perhaps 40 mins to get to theLouvre on foot. Fabulous bistro right opposite for dinner. Great hotel, great location. Will stay there on all future trips to Paris.

The Hotel was OK for the price paid (130e pn)in a very good loction for most of the attractions & some good restaurants nearby. Also within 2 mins of Villiers Metro which was ideal. The Hotel was a little "souless" & the Staff not particularly friendly. One complaint was the room we had looked onto a wall, don't really think they should sell such rooms.Would stay again but only in a different room.

Liked this hotel, because I've got it for a reasonable price in the Villiers area. The price did match the offered standard and I would really come back again, but when I tried some other date, I saw how different the prices were for the same room category (exceeding my price more than 60%). I don't like these surcharges for the same standard and would really look for another hotel, when I had to pay up to 200 € for the room.

The hotel was beautiful and opposite both a nice bistro and a patisserrie. The rooms and hotel was exactly what I had hoped for. The hotel staff were friendly and humoured my poor French until I ran out of words and they spoke English for me. The hotel is close to the metro, although on a line that requires a change for most major attractions. There was a bit of street noise because the windows were open on unseasonably warm nights, but other than that, it was perfect. I'd stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - it's got character, charm, decent sized rooms, and great public areas for relaxing (including small bar!). Local surrounds are typically 8th Arrondisement Paris, and it's not far to the Metro then all the attractions. The breakfast selection and offering is good value at 12 euros, and the bakery across the road is an excellent alternative. Have at least one meal at the Italian restaurant next door - it's worth it! Only downside - a little noisy if you are a very light sleeper. We'll definitely stay there next time we're in Paris!

Despite them not receiving the booking from Venere.com they still managed to accomodate us in an almost full hotel. The first room offered was dingy and small but they did manage to change it to a much nice (albeit noisy) one. However the windows are of good quality and the noise wasn't a problem. Disappointed that in France they didn't sell wine by the glass but the beer from the "honesty" bar was a reasonable (for Paris) price. Good location between Villiers and St Lazarre and some good restaurants around. I would definitely stay at the Relais again, with very helpful staff and free Wi-Fi it was a good choice.

5 mins walk to Villiers metro. Very comfortable room, excellent soundproof, and beautiful bathroom, felt at home immediately. Cozy bibliotheque in large lobby, large daylight breakfast room with backyard wintergarden. Forgot my cell phone in hotel room, friendly staff would send it to my house.

I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend and really enjoyed it. It's perfect particularly for a romantic weekend away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean! and not too small. The bathroom was a nice surprise - clean and pretty. The only criticism I have is that although the rooms are very quiet you can hear slamming doors in the morning, but it was a minor inconvenience. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.

Great Hotel. Rooms were spotless. Staff very nice. Great Location- about 15 mins walk to the Opera House. 20 mins to the Seine. This hotel was excellent value for money. We had breakfast on the morning of our departure and it was plentiful. We had 2 twin rooms facing the street & it was a bit noisy with the windows open but once closed it was pretty quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nites and the hotel was perfect for our needs. Nice and tidy at an affordable price. Nice neighbourhood. Bakery, cafe and small supermarket right across the street. Great italian restaurant (Risi e Bisi) near by. A few minutes walk to the Metro (Villiers) made it a breeze to get around town. Tip! Visit the market in Rue de Levis (only a few minutes walk from the hotel) on sunday and stop for brunch at Le Village Café.

Me and my Wife stayed at this hotel for one whole week, therefore we had time enough to test it. Overall outcome was excellent. Rooms are not huge, but they are clean and well decorated. Staff is kind and willing to provide any help you may need. On the top of that, the hotel is well located. Not too close of noisy and crowded tourist hits, but close enough for a comfortable walk. The only complain we had is that the thin walls make it possible for you to listen other guests in their rooms. Manager explained us that the facilities can not be renewed to fix it as this would require the changing of the original characteristic of the stylish building. Ok then... We would easily come back for a second stay at the Relais Monceau.

very good weekend price for a clean hotel, recently renovated in an arty stile. nice cultivated aerea next to metro Villiers with two lines. There are some cars in the street at night; that's why only 8 for quietness but for Paris quite calm. Friendly staff. We didn't have breakfast. late night return by taxi for about 10 €

The hotel is very reasonably priced, conveniently placed near the metro station in a relatively elegant area. It is not posh, but for a short stay in Paris is ideal. Price/quality ratio outstanding.

I noticed when I returned home the price quoted was not the price I was charged. We checked out in a hurry and didn't check the bill. I sent a letter to the hotel for reimbursement. Instead of 180 euro for 4 nights and 125 for three, we were charged 180 euro for all 7.
