I can understand why this hotel has mixed reviews, it won't be for everyone, the bathroom was, to be honest, a bit shabby. But if you can live with that, this place is unbelievable for the price. The location (Just on the right edge of Montmatre, metro conection is outside the front door), the price, the breakfast and the restaurants and nightlife on the doorstep - all first class. I have been in 4star hotels a lot worse. But the thing that makes this place are the staff. I never knew that the French could be so warm, accomodating, friendly and eager to please. I have NEVER been in a hotel with such a great bunch of people (I have stayed in a lot of hotels). Oh, the other thing that makes it (as I read in a review on this site) is that if you call up, pay and aditional 8 Euro, you get a room with a view of the Sacre Cours, simply unbelieveable, I slept with the balcony windows open in late september because I wanted to keep looking at the view. Woke up in the morning with it lit up salmon pink by the sunrise. I would normally expect to pay €300+ for a room with a view like that. If you are fussy about cracks - stay in a cheap chain hotel and get miserable underpaid staff and a view of a carpark for twice the price. But if you are on a budget, don't mind a few cracks in bathroom, then this is the best place to stay in Paris.

Great location for easy access to Metro & thus the whole of Paris! (Metro stop Anvers just steps away from front door.) Hotel was undergoing a refurbishment/painting/etc while I was there (early Aug 2009) - once done it will look lovely. I had a great little room with a super view of Sacre Couer - superb! Reception staff were all friendly, gracious and cheerful.

There was a bad smell because of paint in the room, and few personnel spoke proper English

We stayd in Paris for 3days. Asked for a room with view over Sacre Ceaur. It was wonderful. The staff was realy helpful and the room was small but nice.

The room was very small and smelly and we had to keep the balcony opened the whole day and night to get rid off the smell but after all day walking it was nice to come back and have a rest in this little cosy room. Breakfast was excellent, toilets, showers also good. The bed was very small, for a couple very tight. We had a wonderful view on Sacre Coeur.

For the price, this is probably one of the best Paris hotel deals to be made. I visited with my mother (60) and we both found the hotel relaxed, homely and comfortable. Luxury it isn't and nor should one expect it, but one does get safe, clean, relatively spacious rooms at a good price. Neighborhood is touristy, which my mother appreciated and I found to be as expected.

This hotel is in a very good location and the staff are friendly. The pictures of the rooms are nothing like the room you will actually stay in and we found that very disappointing. Although the room is quite clean and the bath room is nice i have stayed in better hostels and feel the website gives a deceptive image of the 'hotel'. Stay here if you are simply looking for a convenient and central location to sleep in.

It's a nice place to stay if you want to spend the day around the city of Paris and then go out for a beer at night, the hotel is close to many bars, or just rest at your room because it's very quiet at night. The staff is very helpful great guys.

The price/quality relationsship was ok - it´s a rather cheap hotel for Paris and for that price it was really ok. The best thing was the fact that the metro is just a few metres away. For me at least this is very important when you are visiting a town. The hotel as such was ok but you should not expect something too special. If you are visiting the town and are out the whole day anyways then a clean bed and a clean shower in the evening will do in this hotel.

Nice hotel, good staff (exepting one during the evening). They "upgrade" our room to one with a magnificent view over Sacre Coeur. the view makes it all!

We specifically asked for a room with a nice view. This cost us an extra five euros, or so, and they gave us the choice of two rooms. Both were nice with excellent views of Sacre Coeur. All the employees spoke excellent english which was very helpful for us as we were able to get advice from them on a range of topics (from using the Metro system to borrowing a corkscrew). The room itself was an acceptable size with a small balcony (with the above mentioned view). The bathroom would have been much better with either a shower curtain or a plug for the bath. All in all it was to be recomended.

Rooms very small but clean. Room not well maintained. No furniture in room for unpacking clothes, not even a hook to hang coat. Room had bed, sink, chair and bedside cabinet. Hotel staff friendly and knowledgeable. Safe facility at reception very well organised. Bed sheets and towels clean and changed daily. Large double window opened onto view of Sacre Cour, but street below noisy. Shower and toilet shared by floor, both clean and adequate (perhaps not if you're a big person). All in all, a good, clean, NO FRILLS place to stay in heart of Monmartre. Excellent location for Monmartre and Pigalle. Would recommend.

Excellant location; 30 seconds from the metro, a five minute walk to the Sacre Coeur and about ten minutes walk to the Moulin Rouge. The room was clean and quiet but a little small for a couple - ideal for a single traveller though.

my boyfriend and i had a great 5 days and 4 nights in paris and stayed the whole time at regent montmartre. I would highly recommend this place as its right next to a metro station, right at the bottom of the sacre coeur hill and less than 10 mins walk from the Moulin Rouge. Very helpful and friendly staff and good breakfast - worth the money! The rooms are small but have a really good bathroom. if you're going to be out all day exploring paris as you should be then the rooms at this hotel are perfect. highly recommend :)

It was close to the metro which made getting around Paris easy and quick. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. The room was a little compact but clean and comfortable and it was ideal for our budget and trip. Its proximity to Sacre Coer was a bonus. We had an enjoyable stay.

We booked a double and got a bed 110 cm wide which barely fitted the cramped room. No way that is a double. Had to pay extra to get a proper room. Me and my girlfriend were very dissapointed and will not return again to this hotel.

I booked this hotel almost 5 months in advance and specifically requested a room with a view. We got a room with a small view at first but it was not ready to be occupied so when reception was told they 'upgraded' us to a much larger room with a much better view. overall, I would say that the hotel is good but like all hotels in Paris you need to be careful about how big the rooms are.

We had requested a room with view and we did get it! It was a wonderful location and view. They had a place to hold luggages for a few hours even after you check out. It was so helpful. The price of internet was very reasonable. The front desk staff was helpful.

I would have enjoyed my stay if the property had honoured the breakfast portion that I understood I paid for by the advert on your site. I booked this with help of a friend who picked this property in part because of the price including breakfast and an elevator. I was very disappointed as the offerings for breakfast in the neighbourhoodof Montmartre were awful and overpriced. I could not make tea in my room as there was not kettle. A cup of tea there = 3.50 Euro. The property was good other wise. The woman however on the desk when i arrived insulted me for asking for the breakfast as i paid so little on the internet how ridiculous to think you would get breakfast! I went to look at my booking slips and there was no mention of breakfast on the reciept. I was really pissed off that i felt you both had tricked me and won't book again through this site as a result.

The hotel is nicely located, we did miss a warderobem there were no place to put our clothes. The cleaning lady came late in the afternoon, at 6 o' clock when we just had come back to the room after a busy day, we did not want her to clean at that moment, and therefore there were no cleaning that day. The breakfast was included in the very low price, and was nice.
